Christopher Allen Peterson, 27, of Athens, Ill., passed away Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, in Athens.
He is survived by his parents, Tim and Bonnie Peterson of Two Harbors; his mother, Brenda Bellonger of Lakewood, Colo.; brothers Jeremy Peterson of Two Harbors and Andre Barthelemy of Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters Jodi and Molly Peterson of Duluth and Meagen Peterson of Two Harbors; his aunt, Barbara Raygor of Shoreview, Minn.; and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Helen M. Weigelt, 77, of Aurora died Monday, July 16, 2001, in Heritage Manor Health Care Center, Chisholm.
She was born March 8, 1924, to Matt and Agnes (Virbus) Novakovich in Eveleth. She grew up and attended school in Eveleth. On May 26, 1978, she married
her present husband, Marvin Weigelt, in Duluth. They made their home in Aurora.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her previous husband, Arvo Lahti; a grandson, Kristian Suhr, sisters Stefanie Mashuga and Annie Novakovich; and brothers John, Steve and Nick Novakovich.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin; daughters Susan Gerheardt of Aurora, Bonnie (Brent) Nygaard of Palo and Connie (Robert) Bicking of Ely Lake, Eveleth; a son, Douglas Lahti; a brother, Anthony Novakovich of Virginia; a sister, Frances Gentile of Eveleth; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five stepchildren and special stepdaughter, Mary Weigelt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service: 1 p.m. Thursday in Range Funeral Home, Virginia, the Rev. Father Joseph Sirba officiating. Burial in Eveleth cemetery, Eveleth.

Beatrice M. "Maggie" Brown, 88, of Minong died Sunday, July 15, 2001.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; a daughter, Betty Sather; grandchildren Steve "Fluffy" (Donnette) Sather and Terry Curry; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Roberta J. "Bobbi" Brinkman
Roberta J. "Bobbi" Brinkman, 72, of Aurora died Tuesday, July 17, 2001, in White Community Hospital, Aurora.
She was born in Chisholm on May 16, 1929.
She is survived by her husband, Walter; sons Daniel (Sarah) Bailey of Peachtree, Ga., and Ted (Christine) Bailey of Gibsonia, Pa.; a brother, Ronald (Marge) Robertson of Toledo, Ohio; stepdaughters Linda Brinkman and Becky Diadoo, both of Burnsville, Minn.; a stepson, Walter Jr. of International Falls; grandchildren Colman, Graham and Leah Bailey; step grandchildren Jill, Trina and Alisha; and aunts Dorothy Nevanen of Chisholm and Merta Rinta of Hibbing.

John G. Heren, 77, died Sunday, July 15, 2001, at his lake home near Bigfork.
He was best friend and husband of Darlene W. Dimitroff Heren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael.
John is survived by his wife, Darlene; a son, Tim (Vicky) Heren (grandson Thomas) of Cloquet; daughters Julie (Dan) Griffin (grandson John, granddaughter, Sara) of Nashwauk and Becky (Curt) Nelson (grandson Aaron).

Marvin W. Field
Marvin W. Field, 72, of McGregor died Sunday, July 15, 2001, in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake.
He was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Cloquet to William and Aili (Rosbaca) Field. He attended Green Valley School in East Lake and graduated from McGregor High School in 1945. He attended Hamline University and graduated from Augsburg College with a bachelor of science degree. He served with the Army in Germany from 1950 until 1952, and then with the Reserves for four more years. He earned his master of science degree from St. Thomas college.
He married
LaVerna Minkkinen on May 8, 1953, in Kettle River. They moved to Aitkin in 1958 where Marvin taught biology and chemistry. In 1979 they moved to Moose Lake where Marvin managed the Carlton County Electric Co-op, retiring in 1991. He spent the rest of his life working in the woods, raising Christmas trees and enjoying nature.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, LaVerna; daughters Teresa Wilcox of Alexandria, Va., Valerie Anderson of North Oaks, Minn., and Rebecca Lehtola of Mound, Minn.; sons Robert of Duluth and Scott of Coon Rapids, Minn.; grandchildren Sarah, Carolyn and Catherine Anderson and Eric Wilcox; a brother, Edsel Field; nieces; and a nephew.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. today in McGregor Funeral Home, McGregor. Private family services will be held Thursday.
