Marion C. Beyering, of Aurora, formerly of Duluth, died Monday, July 16, 2001.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Beyering of Aurora; sons Tim (Kittyjean) of Morgan Park, Steve of Duluth, and Ronald (Kim) of Black River Falls, Wis.; a brother; three sisters; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Private family services will be held. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home, Aurora.

Robert W. Rice
Robert W. Rice, 41, of Solon Springs died Sunday, July 15, 2001, at his home after a long illness.
He was the owner and operator of Solon Springs Auto Parts.

He is survived by his wife, Leanne; a stepdaughter, Krystine; a daughter, Cassandra; a son, Adam; and his father, Lawrence Rice, all of Solon Springs; brothers Lawrence (Robin) Rice of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Glenn Rice and David Rice, both of Solon Springs; and a sister, Lanette Rice of Phoenix.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday in Brown Funeral Home, Solon Springs. A memorial service of celebration for Bob's life is 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Pius X Catholic Church, Solon Springs. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice Home Care.

E.G. "Red" Williams
E.G. "Red" Williams, 83, of Lakeland died Sunday, July 15, 2001.
He is survived by a daughter, Rochelle Hass of Cloquet; sons the Rev. Larry and Dennis Williams, both of Elkhart, Ind., Wayne Williams of Elk River, Minn., and Greg Williams of rural Gilbert; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and memorial service 10 a.m. Thursday in Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home, Gilbert. Inurnment in Itasca-Calvary cemetery, Grand Rapids.

Elvira I. Leino
Elvira I. Leino, 91, of Meadowlands died Friday, July 13, 2001, in the Virginia Convalescent Center.
Visitation: 12:30 until the 1:30 p.m. service Wednesday in Christian Way Fellowship Church, Meadowlands. Burial in Meadowlands cemetery. Arrangements by Range Funeral Home of Virginia.

Lucy T. Kasper
Lucy T. Kasper, 97, of Lake Nebagamon died Sunday, July 15, 2001.
She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Barnaby; grandchildren Michele (Leo) Hughes, Richard (Patricia) Barnaby, Joseph (Stacey) Morretti and Donna Morretti; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Bedore.
Visitation: 1 until the 4 p.m. service Wednesday in Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date in Lake Nebagmon cemetery.

Randall "Randy" W. Baynes
Randall "Randy" W. Baynes, 50, of Brookston died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 4, 2001, in Cloquet Community Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 11, 1950, in Minneapolis to John and Katherine (Carr) Baynes. Randy was a veteran of the Navy. He was a member of the North American Fishing Club, the Cloquet and Brookston American Legion and Culver Volunteer Fire Department. Randy loved fishing, reading and being with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his significant other, Carla Dalaska; children Trent, Scott, Cheryl, Dale, Chad and Nicole; 13 grandchildren; his brother, Todd; sisters Gwen (Tom) Stewart and Audrey Youngman; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. today and continuing from 1 until the 2 p.m. service Saturday in Barr Brothers-Handevidt Funeral Home, 900 Washington Ave., Cloquet, (218) 879-4636. Private interment.

Eunice E. Thayer
Eunice E. Thayer, 87, of Virginia died Thursday, June 21, 2001, in Arrowhead Health Care Center, Virginia.
Graveside service: Noon Sunday at Greenwood cemetery, Virginia. Arrangements by Range Funeral Home, Virginia.

Robert Lemire
Robert Lemire, 74, of Aitkin, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, in his home.
He was a former employee of Reserve Mining Co. in Silver Bay.
Private family service at a later date. Arrangements by Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.

Dennis John Bjork
Dennis John Bjork, 59, of Salisbury, Mass., formerly of Sawyer, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 3, 2001, in Massachussets General Hospital in Boston.

Dr. Frank G. Kiesler
Dr. Frank G. Kiesler, of Grand Rapids died Monday, July 2, 2001.
He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota. He was former director of the Northland Mental Health Center in Grand Rapids, a staff member of Itasca Medical Center, International Falls Memorial Hospital, Aitkin Community Hospital, Hibbing General Hospital, a member of the Range Medical Society, the Minnesota Medical Association, the American Medical Association and a founding member of the Minnesota Psychiatric Society.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, and a son, John.

Surviving are his daughter, Anne Johnson; four grandchildren, Scott and Meredith Johnson and Andrew and Mary Ellen Robertson; and a brother, Kalvin.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Monday, July 9, in Community Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids. Arrangements by Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids.

John Wilkie Rahto
John Wilkie Rahto, 71, of Littlefork, formerly of Nokay Lake, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldean "Geri"; two sons; four daughters; two brothers; 17 grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. today in Koop Funeral Home, Crosby, and continuing from noon until the 1 p.m. service Saturday in Salem Lutheran Church, Deerwood. Burial in Oak Grove cemetery, Nokay Lake Twp.

Theone Olive "Babe" (Varty) Morain
Theone Olive "Babe" (Varty) Morain, 103, of Hibbing passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2001.
She is survived by her daughter, Edna M. (Robert) Kruchoski, and a granddaughter, Diane (Erick) Abrams.
Visitation: 10 until the 11 a.m. service Saturday in Wesley United Methodist Church, Hibbing. Interment in Maple Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.

Grace M. Alger
Grace M. Alger, 90, of Solon Springs died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, in her home.
She is survived by sons Richard (Bonnie), Arthur (Judy) and Charles; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Titus (Clara) Pluntz; and sisters Beulah Maki and Dorothy (Jim) VandeBerg.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. today in Brown Funeral Home, Solon Springs, and continues from 10 until the 11 a.m. celebration of life service Saturday in First Presbyterian Church, Solon Springs. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.

Florence M. Colvin, 85, of Salinas, Calif., formerly of Lake Eshquagama, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Yvonne) Yapuncich; a daughter, Christy (Errol) Shannon; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial Mass: 11 a.m. Monday in St. John's Catholic Church, Biwabik. Inurnment in Lakeside cemetery, Biwabik. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home, Gilbert.

Fernando D. Lourey
Fernando D. Lourey, 25, formerly of Kerrick died Thursday, July 5, 2001.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jay, and grandparents Everett and Alice Savage, and Forrest "Gene" Lourey.

He is survived by a son, Thomas Lourey, age 5; his parents, Eugene and Becky Lourey; siblings Timothy (Lori Trifilette), Matthew, Tony (Marlana), Leah (Ken) Gerard, Kristin (Scott) Verville, Kim (Dan) Bohnsack, Ben, Heidi, Maria and Nick; and his grandmother, Helene Lourey.
Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at the family farm in Kerrick Township. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday in Best Western Maplewood Inn, behind Maplewood Mall. Memorials preferred to Children's Home Society of Minnesota or Brain Injury Association of Minnesota.
