Susan Hemstad, 64 of Prior Lake, MN formerly of Alburnette, IA passed away at her home on Monday, May 19, 2008.
She was born May 21, 1943 in Cedar Rapids, IA to parents, Orval and Dorothy (Taylor) Shaffer.
Loved and forever missed by her children: Eric (Jennifer) Burton of Grand Forks, ND, Chad (Lisa) Burton of Rogers, MN, Kim (Mike) Stetter of Mission Viejo, CA, Katie (Brandon) Larson of Prior Lake, Holly (Andy) Brink of Chaska, Laura (Al) Hanson of Apple Valley; grandchildren: Abby Jo Burton, Louis, Mitchell & Grant Burton, Jake, Ryan & Tommy Stetter, Maddie, Nick & Lucas Larson, Bobby, Joseph & Henri Brink, Jack & Kate Hanson; brother: Jerry Shaffer of Independence, IA

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 22, 2008, 3:00-5:00 PM at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, Prior Lake, MN. Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5 PM.
Private Interment at Cedar Memorial Park cemetery, Cedar Rapids, IA.

Sue was a member of the Red Hat Association. She loved playing with her grandchildren, singing in the church choir & with the Sweet Adelines. She also enjoyed knitting and making baskets.

May A. (Mollenhauer) Esboldt, age 87 of Belle Plaine and formerly of Prior Lake passed away on Saturday, May, 17, 2008 at the Gardenview Nursing Home in LeSueur.
She was born June 25, 1920 at LeSueur. Her parents were Louis & Amanda (Kahle) Mollenhauer.

Emil Esbolt September 24, 1960 at the LeSueur Zion United Church of Christ. Emil died February 12, 1994.
She is survived by a brother Allen (Marjorie) Mollenhauer of LeSueur, niece Alainna Jane Holmes of Sioux Falls, SD, nephew James Mollenhauer of LeSueur.
May was preceded in death be her husband Emil Esboldt and her parents Louis & Amanda Mollenhauer.
She was a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League & the Prior Lake VFW Post 6208 Women’s Auxiliary.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 20th, 5 till 8 PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 4565 Pleasant St. SE in Prior Lake and also at the church 1 hour prior to services.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 21, 11:00 AM at Fish Lake Immanuel Lutheran Church, 20200 Fairlawn Ave., in Prior Lake with Rev. Dr. Harald Schoubye presiding.
Interment will be at Fish Lake Lutheran cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Davidson, David Jones, Roger Schultz, Robert Kahle. James Mollenhauer & Art Drager.

Lucille C. (Hentges) Kreuser, age 95 of Shakopee passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Mala Strana Care Center in New Prague.
Lucille was born March 24, 1913 at Marystown, MN. Her parents were Jacob & Mary (Breeggemann) Hentges.

Mathias “Math” Kreuser Jr. on May 1, 1935 at St. Mary of the Purification Catholic Church, Marystown, MN. Mathias died May 16, 1999.
She is survived by children Barbara (Jerry) Hennes of New Prague & George (Dawn) Kreuser of Harris, MN, 9 grandchildren Michelle (Jeff) Smisek of Lonsdale, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Hennes of Lonsdale, Renae Hennes of New Prague, Luann Hennes of Morristown, Christina (Oliver) Roll of Lonsdale, Mathias Kreuser of Cologne, Katherine Kreuser of Mankato, Russell Kreuser of Pennsylvania & Joshua (Stephanie) Kreuser of California, 18 great grandchildren, sisters Josephine Klehr of Chaska, Leona Speiker of Prior Lake, Elizabeth Hentges of Shakopee, Marie (Russell) Spoerner of Chaska, many nieces, nephews & other relatives.
Lucille was preceded by husband Mathias, parents Jacob & Mary Hentges, siblings Rose (Andrew) Preisen, Florian (Antonette & Clara) Hentges, Edmumd (Marie) Hentges, Wilfred (Esther) Hentges.
She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society in Marystown. Lucille was a long time active member of the Church of St, Mark in Shakopee and in early years St. Mary of the Purification Catholic Church. She worked the Dairy Farm with her husband. She enjoyed fishing & traveling the USA & abroad with her sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 19, 2008, 11:30 AM at St. Mary of the Purification Catholic Church in Marystown with visitation at the church from 9:30 till 11:30.
Her final resting place will be at Marystown Catholic cemetery.

Stephen Russell Cassem, age 60 of Shakopee, MN passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Shakopee, MN
Loved and forever missed by his wife, Lynn; children: Adena (Todd) Johnson of Monticello, Courtney (fiancé Bill Schwagel) Cassem of Brooklyn Park, Shawna Cassem and Blake Cassem of both of Shakopee, MN; grandchildren, Teagan, Torri, Treysen Johnson, Cydney Cassem, Gabrielle and Samuel Schwagel; brothers Marty (Deanna) Cassem Sr of Blue Earth, MN and Larry (Bonnie) Cassem of Elk River, MN; sisters, Dora (Ron) Fowler of Truman, MN & Donna (David) Fischer of Bakersfield; mother and father-in-law, Norman & Mildred Borchardt of Prior Lake; brother-in-law, Gary Borchardt of Belle Plaine; nieces, nephews and relatives.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008, 4-8 PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Prior Lake, MN and also one hour prior the service at church on Saturday.

Interment will be on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, Ft. Snelling National cemetery, Minneapolis, MN at 12:15 PM

He graduated from Blue Earth High School and attended Austin Junior College before joining the US Marine Corp, where he served in Vietnam.
Steve and Lynn Borchardt were married
December 3, 1977 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Prior Lake. They were blessed with 4 children.
Steve was active in the business communities of Shakopee and Prior Lake for the past 30 years. He was the owner of Cassem Clothing and the current owner of Shakopee Vacuum & Thermax Carpet Cleaners. He was an active member of the Prior Lake VFW and a member of the Shakopee Chamber of Commerce.
Steve had a zest for life. He loved being a husband, father and grandfather. He really enjoyed his family and expressed often how much we all meant to him. He enjoyed all spectator sports as well as participating in motorcycling, snowmobiling, boating, and four-wheeling.

Allen E. Short, age 64 of Prior Lake, MN passed away on Friday May 2, 2008 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
Allen was born June 3, 1943 at Moline, IL. His parents were Robert Allen Short & Pearl Reata (Holden) Short.

Connie (Parchert) Short December 18, 1965 at Reynolds Methodist Church, Reynolds, IL.
He is survived by wife Connie Short of Prior Lake, MN, daughters Maia (Patrick) Caldwell of Prior Lake, MN, Tia Scott of Lakeville, MN, 5 grandchildren, Logan, Hannah & Jeremiah Caldwell, Sarah & Brenna Scott, brothers Robert Edward (Liz) Short of Cabool, MO, Thomas Short of Cabool, MO, sister-in laws Linda Brown of Viola, IL, Shirley Parchert of Reynolds, IL, brother-in law Arnold (Jan) Parchert of Somonauk, IL, many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Pearl Short & his parents-in law Carl & Gloryl Parchert.
Allen enjoyed golfing, hunting, gardening and his major interest– his grandchildren.
Allen worked in management in the computer industry.
He was a US Air Force Veteran.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 4th, 4-till 8 PM at Ballard– Sunder Funeral Home, 4565 Pleasant St. SE in Prior Lake. There also will be visitation at the church 1 hour prior to services.
Funeral Service will be Monday, May 5th 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, 16150 Arcadia Ave. SE in Prior Lake.
There will be further services held in Milan, IL.
Visitation in Milan, IL will be on Tuesday, May 6th, 4 till 8 PM at the Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home, 201 East 4th Ave., Milan, IL
Interment will be Wednesday, May 7th at Reynolds cemetery in Reynolds, IL.
Pallbearers will be Luke Brown, Joe Docherty, Scott Flaata, Roger Nightingale, Arnold Parchert, Carl Parchert, Jason Parchert, Mike Short, Mark Stockhowe & Doug Weeks.
