Mildred Webb

DONIPHAN -- Mildred Helen Webb, 78, of Doniphan died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Webb was born March 22, 1924, in Herrin, Ill. She was a member of the West Point Pentecostal Church and was a housewife.

On July 12, 1945, she married Frank Webb in Berdette, Ark. He preceded her in death in 1980.

Survivors include two sons, Bob Webb of Dexter and Daniel Webb of Orlando, Okla.; three daughters, Debra Bolin of Carthage and Juanita Camper and Rebecca Cora, both of Doniphan; one sister, Betty Hampton of Collinsville, Ill.; four brothers, Bob Wells of California, Raymond Wells and Arthur Wells, both of Herrin, Ill., and Bill Wells of St. Clair; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Oak Grove cemetery with Richard Mayham officiating. Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan is in charge of arrangements.

Ester Spear

PUXICO -- Ester O. Spear, 84, of Puxico, died Thursday, June 19, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff.

Miss Spear was born July 24, 1918, in Puxico. She was employed as a custodian and did house cleaning.

Survivors include two brothers, Elmer Spear of Puxico and Harrison Spear of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Gladys Townsend of Benton, Ark., and Freda Null of Dexter; and a special niece, Joyce Moore of Puxico.

Visitation will begin after 6 tonight at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Lambert officiating. Burial will be at Puxico cemetery in Puxico.

Orville Dale "Red" Williams

Van Buren -- Orville Dale "Red" Williams, 78, of Van Buren died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003 at Three Rivers Healthcare - North Campus in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Williams was born May 18, 1925 near Van Buren. He was a lifetime resident of Van Buren, where he owned and operated Red's Super Service Station for many years. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of W.W.II. He was a graduate of the Van Buren High School and taught at the Roger's Creek School. He was of the Protestant faith.

Red served as mayor of Van Buren from 1979 to 1989 and 1996 to 2000. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Post 333. He enjoyed working on his farm, boating on the Current River and was an avid Cardinal fan.

On May 29, 1950, he married Milbrey Skelton Moss in Piggott, Ark. She preceded his in death on June 18, 1986.

Survivors include one son and his wife, Robert D. and Jennifer Williams of Van Buren; three daughters, Joy Wilson of Kansas City, Sherry Snider and her husband, Dwain of Van Buren, Florence Rappold and her husband, Andrew of Bigelow, Ark.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his companion, Freda Ross of Van Buren; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today at McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ross Marshall and Rev. Bruce Hawkins officiating. Burial will be at Van Buren City cemetery.

John Kimbrel

John Kimbrel, 44, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Dexter, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003 in the emergency room of Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus at Poplar Bluff.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Darrell Young

DEXTER -- Darrell T. Young, 50, of Dexter died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at his residence.

Mr. Young was born Dec. 8, 1952 in Van Buren. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge No. 2439 in Dexter and was affiliated with First Baptist Church. He was a former line worker with ArvinMeritor at Dexter.

Survivors include his mother, Geneva Jean Young of Poplar Bluff; two sons, Bradley Travis Young of Memphis, Tenn. and Shawn Michael Young of Springfield; two daughters, Amanda Louise Mautino of Lee Summitt and Candi Renae Young of Dexter; one brother, Dennis Young of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Charolette Thompson of Fisk and Sandra Clark of Dexter; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Ed Dunivan officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gresham cemetery at Ellsinore.

Maudie Grubbs

DEXTER -- Maudie Walker Grubbs, 92, of Dexter died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003 at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter. She had been a resident of Dexter since 1987. She was born Jan. 17, 1911 in Dexter. She formerly lived at Gray Ridge and had lived for many years in Detroit and Rochester, Mich.

Mrs. Grubbs formerly worked as an electrical inspector at a juke box factory. She was a member of Church of God Prophesy in Uitica, Mich. On March 21, 1991 she married Oakley R. Grubbs. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1999. She was previously married to James R. Walker. He died Aug. 27, 1969.

She is survived by a sister, Audie Burnett McGhee of Dexter, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. this evening at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. A graveside funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dexter cemetery in Dexter with the Rev. Dennis Ward of Essex officiating. Burial will be at Dexter cemetery.

Robert D. Luttrull

Robert D. Luttrull, 42, of Poplar Bluff died at St. John's Hospital in St. Louis. He had been ill for some years.

Mr. Lutrull enjoyed cooking, auctions, yard sales, hunting and fishing. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include two sons: Joshua Winterhawk Luttrull and Mathew Luttrull; his mother, Sarah Miller of Poplar Bluff; his father, Steve Luttrull of California; four brothers, Ronnie Luttrull of Neelyville, Randy Luttrull of North Carolina, Raymond of Luttrull of Poplar Bluff and Richard Dunlap of Troy; one sister, Rena Cook of Sedalia; his adopted parents, Aunt Vergie and Uncle Venon Luttrull; and three adopted brothers: Jim Tutor, James Baker and Leon Baker.

A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Kingery cemetery on V Highway off 67 South.

Velvetta Brown

KENNETT -- Velvetta Elaine Brown, 54, of Kennett died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003 at her sister's home in Punkin Center, Mo. She was born Feb. 27, 1949 in Holcomb.

Mrs. Brown was a homemaker. On Aug. 7, 1998 she married Carl Brown in Holcomb. He survives.

Other survivors include her parents, Winford Woodall of Sikeston and Velma Woodall of Holcomb; a stepson, Rodney Brown of New York City, NY; a stepdaughter Joy Asbury of Holly, Mich.; four sisters, Peggy Steward of Punkin Center, Lois Meiers of Apollo Beach, Fla., Patsy Weaver of Holcomb, and Deronda Greer of Kennett; two brothers, Garry Woodall of Potosi, Mo. and Winfred Woodall of Clarkton; and four step-grandchildren.

Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett is in charge of arrangements. The funeral will be held a 3 p.m. today at Glad Tidings Pentecostal Holiness Church in Kennett with the Rev. Charles Avants officiating. Burial will be at Stanfield cemetery in Clarkton.

William Stonecipher

William Sam Stonecipher, 89, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center.

Mr. Stonecipher was born Nov. 28, 1913 in Sage, Ark. A retired farmer, he was of the Pentecostal faith. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He enjoyed gardening.

On April 18, 1946 he married Marie Redmond in Piggott, Ark. She preceded him in death on Jan. 1,1997.

Survivors include two sons, Marshall Joe Stonecipher of Poplar Bluff and William Sam Stonecipher, Jr. of Holcomb; one daughter, Olive Foster of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Jim Stonecipher of Poplar Bluff; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. today at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carl Woolard officiating. Burial with full military honors will be held at Cochran cemetery.

G.B. Gray

G.B. Gray, 82, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003 at the Beverly Health an Rehab Center in Dexter.

Mr. Gray, the son of the late John A. and Ora E. (Beckham) Gray, was born May 24, 1921 in St. James. He was a retired carpenter. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and farming.

On July 30, 1940, he married Dorothy Mae Davis in Doniphan. She preceded him in death on Dec. 25, 2002. One son, Jerry Gray, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include six children, Pat Gray, Blair Gray and wife, Carol, Lane Gray and wife, Debbie, all of Poplar Bluff, Sherrie Atkinson and husband, Jim, of Greenbriar, Ark., Steve Gray and wife, Ruth of Kansas City, Kan., Mike Gray and wife, Pat, of Lilbourn; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one sister, Laura Hart of Texas.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service will begin at 1 p.m Thursday at the Poplar Bluff City cemetery with Rev. Ralph Kirkman officiating.

Shannon Tarkington

BERNIE -- Shannon Tarkington, 17, of Bernie, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.

Mildred Donica

DEXTER -- Mildred Donica, 83, of Dexter, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, at her residence.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
