BRANCH
Leona Gaylord Branch, 70, Jefferson City, died Dec. 23, 1999, at her home.
She was born Sept. 26, 1929, a daughter of Edmund and Sallie Stadler Gaylord. She was married Oct. 29, 1949, to Robert W. Branch.
She worked for National BellasHess and Sears, Roebuck and Co., both in Kansas City. She retired in June 1992 from the Missouri State Income Tax Division, after more than 20 years of service.
She was a member of Jefferson City Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1003, Jefferson City.
Survivors include: one brother, Wilbur Gaylord, El Dorado Springs; and two sisters, Helen Mantonya, Deepwater, and Sandra Byerly, Warsaw.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Grove Southern Baptist Church, Warsaw. The Rev. Steve Thomas and the Rev. Dale Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Warsaw.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday.

CRUM
Orville W. Crum, 81, Eldon, died Dec. 31, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born July 7, 1918, in Miller County, a son of James R. and Mary Schlesinger Crum. He was married Nov. 14, 1944, in Waukegan, Ill., to Edith I. Dona Ahart, who survives at the home.
A Navy veteran, he worked in maintenance for Modesto Irrigation District and operated a sporting goods store in Waterford, Calif., for several years. He was a member of Eldon VFW Post 2442.
Other survivors include: one brother, Ernie Crum, Turlock, Calif.; and one sister, Genevieve Glaserud, Empire, Calif.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Jarrett Cemetery, Iberia.
Visitation will be from 1-2:30 p.m. Monday.
DYE
James W. Dye, 47, Tuscumbia, died Dec. 30, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born June 20, 1952, in Waynesville, a son of William "Bill" and Verna Buschbaum Dye. His mother survives in Columbia. He was married Jan. 1, 1981, in Buckhorn, to Paula Jean Hutchinson, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a mechanic for the Fort Leonard Wood 58th Transportation Battalion Motor Pool for 17 years.
He was a member of Waynesville Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Other survivors include: one son, Christopher Dye, Tuscumbia; one daughter, Heather Dye, DeSoto; one stepdaughter, Shelby Humphrey, Tuscumbia; one sister, Janet Smith, state of Maryland; and two brothers, Robert Dye, Columbia, and Ralph Dye, Rolla.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Pastor Albert Oetman will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
HANNOLD
Helen A. Hannold, 87, Jefferson City, died Dec. 30, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Nov. 27, 1913, in Alton, Ill., a daughter of Joseph L. and Lelola E. Tho-mas Bennett. She was married Aug. 27, 1933, in Hillsboro, Ill., to Walter E. Hannold, who died April 5, 1996.
Having attended school in Alton, Ill., she was manager of Thrifty Drug Store, Alton, a lab technician with Shell Oil Co., Roxanna, Ill., and a sales clerk with Burdine's Ladies Clothing Store, Fort Myers, Fla.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Fort Myers.
Survivors include one sister, Billie Bennett Chromcik, Jefferson City.
Private graveside services and entombment will be conducted in the mausoleum of Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
JACKSON
Anne Elizabeth Jackson, 88, Jefferson City, died Jan. 1, 2000, in Jefferson City.
She was born May 29, 1911, in Burlington, Kan., a daughter of George D. and Annie Elizabeth Skinner Harris. She was married March 21, 1942, in Burlington, to John Alvin Jackson, who died in July 1981.
A nurse, she worked for Memorial, Still and St. Marys hospitals. She was a member of Jefferson City Baptist Church and a former officer of the Missouri Licensed Practical Nurses Association.
Survivors include: one son, John A. Jackson, Long Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Anne E. Ratcliff, Jefferson City; one sister, Joyce A. Flaherty, Rockville, Md.; and one granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday.
LEFMANN
Bernice Lorene Lefmann, 87, Huntsville, Ala., formerly of Iberia, died Dec. 29, 1999, at Crestwood Medical Center, Huntsville.
She was born Sept. 19, 1912, near Brays, a daughter of Anville and Laura Atwell Humphrey. She was married Oct. 8, 1931, in Kansas City, to Henry W. Lefmann, who died Dec. 4, 1986.
She was a member of Iberia United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. She also belonged to the Silver Circle quilting group.
Survivors include: two daughters, Carol Riehl, Nashville, Tenn., and Laura Conner, Huntsville; two sisters, Cleo Shockley, Belleville, Ill., and Crethen Hinson, Grandview; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. RoseEllen Hoff will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Iberia.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or Union Cemetery.
LOGSDON
Earlene Ruth Logsdon, 73, California, Mo., died Dec. 31, 1999, at her home.
She was born Sept. 6, 1926, in Osage County, a daughter of William W. "Bill" and Mabel C. Randolph Pointer. She was married Sept. 27, 1947, in Jefferson City, to Lee R. Logsdon, who survives at the home.
She ran a day care and was office manager for Sugar Creek Estates Trailer Park and Home, Fenton. A member of the United Methodist Church, California, she regularly attended functions at the California Nutrition Center.
Other survivors include: one son, William "Bill" Lee Logsdon, state of Florida; and one sister, Wetona Jacobs, California, Mo.
One infant daughter, Sue Ellen Logsdon, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Carol Koening and the Rev. Ivan Dameron will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

OTT
Oscar H. "Ben" Ott, 78, Jefferson City, died Jan. 1, 2000, at Oak View Living Center.
He was born March 18, 1921, in Jefferson City, a son of Herman and Lola Messer Ott. He was married July 13, 1943, in St. Charles, to Lucy Walker, who survives at the home.
He was an electrician for Ott Electric for 15 years and was a contractor and home builder for 25 years.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Sue Vieth and Pam Sonius, both of Jefferson City, and Danita Hall, Holts Summit; one brother, Bill Ott, Jefferson City; two sisters, Nancy Shockley, Inman, S.C., and Betty Steck, Jefferson City; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
One son, Harold Lee Ott, died in 1946.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Rudolph W. Beard will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri or the Alzheimer's Association.
TWICHELL
Allen Reed Twichell, 85, Jefferson City, died Dec. 31, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born April 7, 1914, in Chicago, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas J. Twichell. He was married March 16, 1946, to Sally Closser, who survives at the home.
A veteran of World War II, he attended Wabash College in Indiana and the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he earned a master's degree in zoology. He was employed by the Missouri Department of Conservation for more than 41 years, one of the agency's longest-serving employees.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the church's Harmony Class. He also belonged to the Conservation Federation of Missouri, the Fish and Wildlife Society, the Federal Aid Society, ARMSE and MOSERS.
Other survivors include: one son, Terry Twichell, Oklahoma City, Okla.; one daughter, Jeannie Coon, Jefferson City; one brother, Lewis P. Twichell, Farmer City, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Dorothy Lairmore will officiate. Entombment will be in the Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or First United Methodist Church.
