Harry "Junior" Souders, 84, died Saturday, June 18, 2011
Harry “Junior” Souders, 84, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, Mo.
He was born July 20, 1926 in Breckenridge, Mo., the son of Harry and Iva (Cashatt) Souders. On Dec. 24, 1947 he married Jean Burkey in Chillicothe, Mo. She preceded him in death on May 2, 2009.
He owned and operated Souders Used Cars for over 40 years in Chillicothe, Mo.
He is survived by two sons, Ronald Souders, Fayetteville, N.C., and Jim Souders, Chillicothe, Mo.; one daughter, Shirley Carr, Chillicothe, Mo.; one brother, Clifford Souders, Chillicothe, Mo.; one sister, Nadine Caperton, Los Gatos, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean; one son, Gary Dean Souders; and one granddaughter, Stacey Lynn Souders.
Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill cemetery, Breckenridge, Mo., on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. A family visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. Friends may call on Tuesday from 1 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.

Dale Herring, 67, died Saturday, June 18, 2011
Dale Herring, 67, of Linneus, Mo., died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the home of his brother near Linneus, Mo.
Richard Dale was born Dec. 13, 1943 in Brookfield, Mo., the son of Richard Warren and Ruby Margarite (VanDyke) Herring.
He was a farmer all of his life and was a member of the Farm Bureau.
He was a United States veteran serving in Korea.
He is survived by two brothers, Jerry Herring and wife Margaret and Donald Herring and wife Danelle, all of Linneus, Mo.; six nieces and nephews, Jerry D. Herring and wife Teresa, Fort Gibson, Okla., Penny Anderson and husband Scott, Wheeling, Mo., Misty McKenzie and husband Eric, Brookfield, Mo., Timothy Herring and wife Jennifer and Kurtis Herring and Keith Herring, all of Linneus, Mo.; 10 great-nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, Mo., with Rex Wood officiating. Burial will be in Botts cemetery near Meadville, Mo. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Petska Cancer Fund or Botts cemetery and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, P.O. Box 496, Brookfield, MO 64601.

Ray Ivan Samm, 89, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Monday, June 20, 2011 at Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 10 a.m. A family visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 to 9 p.m. Burial will be held in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Mo.
Memorial contributions may be made to Loch Haven Nursing Home and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.

Gary Carter, 64, died Sunday, June 26, 2011
Gary Carter, 64, a resident of Laclede, Mo., died Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Heartland Regional Hospital, in St. Joseph, Mo.
Gary was born the son of Rodgers Lewis and Loretta (Wallace) Carter, on September 22, 1946, in Missouri. On September 23, 1967, he married Marjorie (Curtis) Carter, in Brookfield, Mo. She survives of the home.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Brookfield; a member of the CB Band Club; and also enjoyed collecting antiques and guns.
He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Wynne and husband Tony, of St. Joseph, and Mary Belcher and husband Daryl, of Carson City, Nev. One sister, Diane Geromini, of Studio City, Cal.; eleven grandchildren, Robert Williams, Joe Belcher, Jessica Sego, Krystal Belcher, Alex Hanson, Tasha Hanson, Andrew Sego, Rebecca Belcher, Savannah Belcher, Skyler Belcher, and Trenton Wynne; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bob and Dennis Carter.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Friday, July 1, 2011, at 2 p.m. Friends may call on Thursday, June 30, 2011 ,from 12 noon to 8 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home. A Parish Rosary and family visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 30, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe. A burial service will be held at Edgewood cemetery in Chillicothe. Memorials may be made to DaVita Dialysis Center, and may be left at the funeral home, or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Bill Foxworthy, 73, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010
Bill Foxworthy, 73, a resident of Avalon, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010 at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
Bill was born Oct. 19, 1937 in Brookfield, Mo., the son of Carlton Lee and Mary Lillian (Herring) Foxworthy. On Nov. 7, 1959 he married Dixie Lou Batson in Coloma Baptist Church. She preceded him in death on May 25, 1995.
He went to Tina-Avalon School and graduated as part of the first high school class to graduate in the new school in 1955. He was an Army veteran having served from 1961 through 1963 during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Bill lived his life in Avalon, Mo., and worked in the Teamsters Union as a mechanic for Churchill Trucking. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Bill is survived by his son, William Owen, Avalon, Mo.; his daughter, Mary Brown and husband Michael, Avalon, Mo.; and a grandson, Timothy Windsor, Brookfield, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three infant children; granddaughter, Mariah Rose Windsor; sisters, Tawanda Geromini and Mary Aerwana Spainhour; and a nephew, Carl Spainhour.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. A family visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Avalon cemetery, Avalon, Mo.

James Edward Brown, 84, died Tuesday Dec. 21, 2010
James Edward Brown, 84, of Kansas City, Mo., with family by his side, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010.
Jim was born Jan. 24, 1926 in Nashua, Iowa, to Ray and Edna Brown.
Jim married Virginia Lee Anderson of Lock Springs, Mo., on Dec. 13, 1958.
He was raised in Knoxville, Iowa, where he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. Jim moved to Kansas City in 1948. He drove a Yellow Cab part-time for the next 25 years. In 1951 Jim went to work for the city of Kansas City in the transportation department as a traffic accident analyst and traffic engineering aide where he worked for the next 51 and a half years.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; son, Ray Brown and wife Tanya; daughter, Carol Gonzales and husband Terry; three grandsons, Jared and Trevor Brown and Anthony Kinnard; sister, Betty and brothers, Dick and Jack.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, his brother Bill and sister Mary.
Funeral services will be held at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 West Linwood Boulevard, Kansas City, Mo., on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held at McGilley Midtown Chapel on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be at Clear Creek cemetery in Lock Springs, Mo., on Monday at 1:30 p.m.

Wanda L. Raney, 79, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010 in Kansas City, Mo.
Wanda was born Sept. 2, 1931 in Chillicothe, Mo., the daughter of Harry and Naomi (Thomas) Collier. On Jan. 22, 1950 she married Herald Raney in Chillicothe, Mo. He preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1997.
She resided in Chillicothe most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Mo. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to lunch and coffee with her many friends.
She is survived by son, Bill Raney and wife Nancy, Chillicothe, Mo.; daughter, Donna Norwood and husband Jim, Sperry, Okla.; grandchildren, Tisha Holmes and husband Rodney, Bixby, Okla., Kimberly Stewart and husband Shane, Pittsboro, Ind., Brian Raney and wife Stacy, Chillicothe, Mo., and Mandy Raney, Kansas City, Mo.; great-grandchildren, Tylor, Skylor and Trevor Holmes; and two sisters, Betty Jeffries, Pearland, Texas, and Joan Herndon, Newport Richey, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. There will be no scheduled family visitation. Burial will be held in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Bonnie Dean Spencer, 78, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010
Bonnie Dean Spencer, 78, of Chillicothe, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at North Kansas City Hospital.
She was born Sept. 15, 1932 in Richmond, Mo. She married Ted Spencer in 1953, and settled in Chillicothe, Mo., during the early 60s to raise their family.
Bonnie graduated from Manual High School, Kansas City, Mo., in 1951.
Bonnie worked as a nurse’s aide at Hedrick Medical Center until she retired in 1992, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her mother, Burla Lilley, Independence, Mo.; brother, Charles Nickerson, Independence, Mo.; sister-in-law, Margaret Ross, Lincoln, Mo.; children, Brenda Evans and her husband Joe, Gallatin, Mo., Marsha Dotson and her husband Michael, Lathrop, Mo., and Sandy Hart and her husband Roger, Chillicothe, Mo.; step-son, Teddy Spencer and his wife Enid, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Ross; husband, Ted Spencer; brother, Kenneth Ross.
A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 at Church of Christ, 308 Elm Street, Chillicothe, Mo., with funeral services following at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Utica cemetery immediately ensuing.

Stacy Lynn Hoselton, 42, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010
Stacy Lynn Hoselton, 42, of Chillicothe, Mo., died Friday, Dec., 17, 2010 at her home under the care of her family and Hedrick Medical Center Hospice.
Stacy was born July 16, 1968 in Milan, Mo., the daughter of Earl Keith Hoselton and Sandra Kay Wade Hatfield.
She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School in 1987.
Stacy worked for about ten years at Hope Haven Industries in Chillicothe, Mo.
She was a member of Cornerstone Church in Chillicothe, Mo.
Stacy is survived by her mother, Sandra Kay Hatfield, listed above; father, Earl Keith Hoselton, Linneus, Mo.; stepmother, Judith Hoselton, Linneus, Mo.; two sisters, Christina Redden and friend Tommy Beal, Fayette, Mo., and Glenda Knebel and husband, Joe, Chesterfield, Mo.; four stepsisters, Connie Baughn and husband Donald, Kris Trammell and husband Tony, Marcie Ireland and husband David, Jo Owen and husband Eddie, all of Chillicothe, Mo.; a stepbrother, Terry Hatfield, Chillicothe, Mo.; an aunt, Jane Pohlmann and husband Greg, Vernon Hills, Ill.; cousins; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and stepfather, Hershal Hatfield.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010 at Cornerstone Church in Chillicothe, Mo. Burial was at Green City cemetery, Green City, Mo.

Robert (Bob) Turner Fairweather, 87, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010
Robert (Bob) Turner Fairweather, 87, of Chillicothe, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010 at Indian Hills Retirement Village in Chillicothe, Mo.
Robert Turner Fairweather was born Oct. 30, 1923 in Dallas, Ore., the son of William Fairweather and Vera Turner Fairweather. On March 30, 1946 Bob married Eleanor Scruby in the First Christian Church of Chillicothe. She survives of the home.
He graduated from high school in Glendale, Calif., and then joined the United States Army Air Corp, where he became a pilot and flew a P-47.
When Bob and Eleanor lived in California, for nearly 20 years he was a loan officer for Bank of America. When they moved to Chillicothe, Bob and Eleanor owned and operated Scruby Hardware in Chillicothe, Mo.
Bob was the President of the Chillicothe cemetery Association Board, on the Board of Directors of Investors National Bank of Chillicothe and former President of the Board of Directors of the Livingston County Humane Society.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Fairweather, listed above; a brother, Bert Fairweather, Fla.; nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and a sister.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in honor of Bob Fairweather be made to Operation Help or House of Prayer Rescue Mission and left at or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
There will be private family services. Burial will be at Edgewood cemetery. There is no visitation. Friends may call at the funeral home to sign the register book on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 and Friday, Dec. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo.
