David Alan Schriemann
(July 15, 1951 - June 6, 2011)

David Alan Schreimann, 59, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, June 6, 2011, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born July 15, 1951, in Jefferson City, a son of the late Henry “Alan” and Madeline (Woods) Schreimann. He was a 1969 graduate of Jefferson City High School and went on to earn his Master’s degree and Specialist degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Missouri.
David worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections in Probation and Parole for over thirty years, until retiring in 2008 from the Jefferson City Correctional Center. He was an avid baseball enthusiast, and was a longtime member of the Jefferson City Jay Baseball Booster Club. He was also a longtime youth baseball coach in Jefferson City.
David is survived by a daughter: Stephanie Johnson (husband Jake) of Jefferson City; a son: Eric Schreimann (wife Noel) of O’Fallon; two brothers: Duane Schreimann (wife Dian) of Jefferson City; Don Schreimann (wife Mary) of Warrensburg; and five grandchildren: Alex Johnson, Victoria Heckman, Zach Johnson, Breanna Schreimann and Braden Schreimann.
Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with Chaplain Joe Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of Flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in honor of David Schreimann, to the Jefferson City Jay Baseball Booster Club. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street; Jefferson City, Missouri 65109.

Iva Maynard

WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Iva Maynard, 81, of Bradenton, Fla., died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Maynard was born April 14, 1927, in Huntington, W. Va., the daughter of Roscoe and Mazie Adkins. She graduated from Huntington High School in 1945. She married icon Thomas Maynard July 8, 1950, in Huntington. The couple made their home in Huntington until they moved to Pompano Beach, Fla., in 1957. They became charter members of the North Pompano Baptist Church. During this time, Maynard was a homemaker and later was employed with Sears. They also resided in Coral Springs, Boca Raton, and Boynton Beach, Fla. After her husband's death, she worked as a teacher's aide. In 2000, Iva moved to Bradenton to be closer to her family and she later joined the First Baptist Church in Sarasota. More recently, she joined the Oneca First Baptist Church in Bradenton.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Dee Anna and Dr. Randall S. Neal of Warrensburg; two sons, Michael Maynard and his wife, Cindi of Greensboro, N.C., and Mark Maynard of Bradenton; a sister, Maxine Bias of Huntington, and six grandchildren: Bethany and Russell Neal, Thomas and Matthew Maynard, and Zachary and Shelby Maynard. Maynard was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, in February 1983; two sisters, Berniece Suiter and Belva Adkins; and two brothers, Clodeon Adkins and Monford Adkins.
A memorial service will be 5 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at the Oneca First Baptist Church in Bradenton, with the Rev. John Isom officiating.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, July 24, 2008, at the Boynton Beach Mausoleum at 1611 Seacrest Blvd., in Boynton Beach, Fla., with Dr. Randall S. Neal officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Russell S. Neal, Thomas Maynard, Matthew Maynard, Zachary Maynard and Tommie Lee Maynard.
Williams Funeral Chapel of Warrensburg and the Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home of Boynton Beach are in charge of the arrangements.

Jay Clark
(March 13, 1958 - June 6, 2011)

Jay Clark, 53, of Noel, Missouri passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at his home.
Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Family of Jay Clark. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street.

James Patton Harcourt
(August 2, 1957 - June 5, 2011)

James Patton Harcourt, 53, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011, at his home. He was born August 2, 1957, in Ithaca, New York, the son of John Bertram and Mary Ellen (Trueb) Harcourt. He was a 1975 graduate of Ithaca High School in Ithaca, NY and a 1979 graduate of Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. He went on to earn his Master’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1990. On June 28, 1987, James was united in marriage in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Janet Denise Sailer, who survives at their home.
James worked as an archeologist with the Arkansas Archeological Survey from 1987 to 1994, and with the Missouri Department of Transportation from 1994 to 2011, most recently as a Senior Historic Preservation Specialist. He was a member of the Missouri Archeological Society. James enjoyed photography, gardening, cooking, biking, writing, reading, and being a member of the Lee Street Lobbers Bocce Ball Team.
Along with his wife Jan, James is also survived by a daughter: Mary Elizabeth Harcourt (Emmie) of Columbia, MO; his mother: Mary Harcourt of Ithaca, NY; and one sister: Kate Harcourt of New York City, NY.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Jefferson City, 1021 Northeast Drive; Jefferson City, MO 65109, with Rev. Mike Adamek officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal shelter or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street; Jefferson City, Missouri 65109.

Catherine Connell Britton
(February 15, 1924 - June 4, 2011)

Catherine Connell Britton died peacefully on June 4, 2011. The more-than-fifty-year resident of Jefferson City, Missouri, was born on February 15, 1924, to Warren William Connell and Helen (Bartenbach) Connell in Grand Island, Nebraska, the elder of two children born to that union.
Known for her affectionate and generous nature, Catherine Britton will be long and well remembered by her husband, John F. Britton; her children, Susan Hesselgesser of St. Louis, Leslie (George) Walker of Gilbert, Arizona, R. Bruce Britton of St. Louis, C. Elizabeth (Robert) Burns of Reston, Virginia, and Abigail Britton (Dale Davenport); her brother, Warren Albert (Enid) Connell of Phoenix, Arizona; her grandchildren, Peter Palermo (Sarah Schwartzman Palermo), Jonathan (Michelle) Ormond, Jill Ormond, Robert “Bobby” Burns, Elizabeth “Libby” Burns, Catherine “Cate” Britton, and Chloe Bailey; and three great-grandchildren, Charles Schwartzman Palermo, Tessa Schwartzman Palermo, and Anabel Britton; and many other relatives and friends.
Catherine Britton was preceded in death by her parents and one son, William Warren “Bill” Britton.
Friends will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Private family graveside services will be held at Riverview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street.

Franklin "Jack" Henry Forck
(December 7, 1932 - June 2, 2011)

Franklin Henry “Jack” Forck, 78, of Taos, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011at the Golden Living Center. He was born on December 7, 1932 in Taos a son of the late Cletus B. and Sabena Helen Kerperin Forck. He was united in marriage on May 27, 2000 in Taos to Barbara Tracy Porter, who survives on the home.
Jack attended Immaculate Conception and Forest Hill Schools. He was a dairy farmer, Mail Carrier for Rural Route 3 and 6 for 12 years, previous Bulk Plant Manager for MFA Oil, and a Bus Driver for Crabtree and Harmond Inc., from 1959 until his retirement.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #6430 in Taos, Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2693, Blair Oaks School Board, ST. Francis Xavier Parish Council, Mayor of Taos from 1976 until 1986 and former Fire Chief of Taos Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his four sons: Joseph J. Forck and wife Carolyn, Gerard F. “Chub” Forck and wife Imogene, Anthony S. “Tony” Forck and wife Carol, and Frank B. Forck and wife Shawnna all of Taos; one daughter: Patricia Ann Verslues of Taos; two brothers: William “Bill” Forck and wife Shirley of Benton, and Mike “PeeWee” Forck and wife Mary Jane of Taos; three sisters: Mary Lee Bax of Wardsville, Betty Sue Klebba and her husband Kenny of Salt Lake City, UT, and Darlene Reed and her husband Robert “Bob” of Jefferson City; fifteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one step-son, two step-daughters, twelve step-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the Taos Knights of Columbus Hall, with a prayer service to be held at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2011 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Wayne Boyer, officiating. Graveside services will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street.

Marvin "Ray" Lee Onger
(August 31, 1925 - June 2, 2011)

Marvin Lee “Ray” Onger, 85, of Holts Summit died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born August 31, 1925 in Jefferson City, a son of William and Emma Rose (Keller) Onger. On June 21, 1947, Ray was united in marriage at the Cedar City Baptist Church to Lois Marie Clardy, who survives at their home.
Ray was an iron worker and member of Local 396 for 32 years until his retirement in 1987. He enjoyed hunting, crappie fishing and gardening.
Other survivors include one granddaughter, Rebecca Libbert of Jefferson City; one grandson, Ronald Reed of Hartsburg; five great grandchildren: Brad, Ashley, Megan and Kayla Libbert and Kristin Reed; and three brothers: his twin, Alvin “Roy” Onger of Holts Summit, William Onger of Holts Summit, and John Onger of Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Sue Onger Reed on October 20, 1992; one grandson, James Randy Reed on September 2, 1986; five sisters: Nadine Hazelrigg, Alene Jones, Lorene Williams, Elsie Schanuth, Ethel McCasland; and one brother, Jack Onger.
Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Murl Nash officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 W. Main.

Martha Sue Hirschman
(February 26, 1938 - June 2, 2011)

Martha Sue Hirschman, 73, of Jefferson City died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Oak Tree Villas. She was born February 26, 1938 in Jefferson City, the daughter of Paul and Augusta (Ihler) Sickinger. She was a graduate of St. Peter High School in Jefferson City.
Martha was united in marriage to Leroy Hirschman, who preceded her in death on January 8, 2008.
She worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation and Family Benefit Life Insurance Company. Martha was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed bowling and crocheting. She will be remembered as a very kind person that was always helping her family and friends.
Survivors include one sister-in-law, Beverly Sickinger of Jefferson City; three nephews: Gary Wayne Sickinger of Jefferson City, Paul Sickinger and William Sickinger and wife Krista both of Centertown; two great nephews, Kale Sickinger and Zachary Sickinger, both of Centertown; one great niece, Nikki Evers of Mary’s Home; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Joe Sickinger.
Friends will be received from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, where Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Benjamin Nwosu officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society, Camp Quality or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 W. Main.
