Charlotte Sue Randolph

Charlotte Sue Randolph, the daughter of the late Dolan and Tennie Hays Frost, was born April 20, 1938, in Appleton, Ark., and died Oct. 4, 2002. Mrs. Randolph was employed as a certified nurse's aide at Riverbluff Nursing Home, Cahokia, Ill. She married Thurman Ray Randolph, and he survives of the home. Other survivors also include her children, Joe Randolph of East Carondelet, Ill., Michael Randolph of Appalache, Va., Tim Randolph of New Baden, Ill., Don Randolph of Belleville, Ill., Patricia Clay of Dupo, Ill., and June Munster of Cahokia, Ill.; a brother, John Frost of Kentucky; four sisters, Julie Hisaw of Dexter, EvaDean Jones of Riverbank, Calif., Lulabelle McGuire of Dexter, and Vivian Beard of Matthews; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at Valhalla Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Parkway West, Belleville, Ill. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at Valhalla Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Stewart officiating. Interment followed in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Ill.

Miza Eisenhart

Miza Eisenhart, daughter of the late Harvey D. Stroup and Nellie Keating Stroup, was born on Jan. 20, 1912, at Bloomfield and died in the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter on Oct. 8, 2002, at the age of 90. Mrs. Eisenhart was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, a former accountant with A.C.L. Haase Packing Company in St. Louis, and a resident of Dexter. She was united in marriage to William Eisenhart on Nov. 17, 1945, at St. Charles, and he survives of the home in Dexter. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Robert Acord of St. Louis; one daughter, Nancy Webb of Dexter; one brother, June Stroup of Aquilla; five grandchildren, Susan Hill of Dexter, Laura Kinder of Chesterfield, Barbara Haefner of Matthews, N.C., Beth Marcille and Nancy Acord, both of St. Louis; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas B. Stroup and one sister, Norma Bennett. Visitation will be held from noon until 2:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Fred Leist officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.

Bertha Roberts

Bertha E. Roberts, the daughter of the late James Wesley and Hydra Greer Darby, was born in Essex on Nov. 12, 1913, and died at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston on Oct. 10, 2002, at the age of 88. Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker and had lived in Palmyra, Ill., from 1954 to 1969, in Essex from 1969 to 1980, in Bernie from 1980 to 2000, and had lived in Morehouse the past 1 1/2 years. On July 24, 1929, she was married to Joe Roberts in Bloomfield. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1972. Surviving are one son, Charles Roberts of Girard, Ill.; four daughters, JoAnn Fralick of Bernie, Janie Farber of White Hall, Ill., Robin Hargrove and Judy Roberts, both of Morehouse; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beulah Baker of Carlinville, Ill.; and Ollie Taylor of Virden, Ill. She was preceded in death by one son, John Roberts; one daughter, Linda Inman; one brother, Albert Darby; and three sisters, Iva Greer, Elizabeth London, and Mary Dell Grim. Visitation will be held from 11:00 - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Doyle Corlew of Dexter officiating. Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery in Essex with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Roma Lee Cato

Roma Lee Cato, the daughter of the late Presley and Anna Warren Delay, was born on April 23, 1923, at Swinton and died Oct. 3, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Mrs. Cato was a 1940 graduate of Advance High School, and she attended Southeast Missouri State Teachers College. She was a schoolteacher with the Zalma School District for over 20 years, and she was a member of Bethel General Baptist Church near Advance. On March 1, 1946, she was united in marriage to Truman Cato at Cape Girardeau, and he survives of the home. Other survivors include a son, Eddie Cato of Dexter; a daughter, Debbie Dove of Highlandville; and four grandchildren. Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Visitation was held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance with Rev. Ray Placher officiating. Interment will follow in Bollinger County Memorial Park in Marble Hill.

Roy Lee Stickles

Roy Lee Stickles, the son of Sylvia Pullum Stickles and the late Virgil Stickles, was born in Dexter on Sept. 8, 1936, and died in Dexter on Oct. 2, 2002, at the age of 66. Mr. Stickles had lived in Dexter for all his life. He was employed for many years at Morgan Furniture in Dexter and later was a route man for the Daily Statesman. On Sept. 18, 1967, he was married to Sharon Politte in St. Louis. Surviving are his wife, Sharon Stickles of Dexter; his mother, Sylvia Stickles of Dexter; two sons, Roy Stickles, Jr., of Bloomfield, and Bruce Lee Stickles of Granite City, Ill.; six daughters, Tina Griffin, Toni Stickles, Linda Honeycutt, all of Dexter, Gwendolyn Askins, Rhondolyn Hunt, and Joycelyn Wilson, all of Granite City; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, V.A. Stickles, in 1993. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Chuck Hull of Bloomfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Rose Hendrix

Rose Hendrix, the daughter of the late Oliver and Elizabeth Crites Barks, was born near Kennett on Sept. 14, 1910, and died at the Mark Twain Manor in Bridgeton on Oct. 1, 2002, at the age of 92. Mrs. Hendrix was a homemaker and had lived in Malden from 1971 until moving to Bridgeton two years ago. She was a member of the Spoonerville Baptist Church. On Aug. 27, 1929, she was married to Russell Herbert Hendrix near Cardwell. He preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1989. Surviving are one son, William F. Hendrix of O'Fallon; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Perry Clark of Risco officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Herbert Graves

Herbert Elisha Graves, son of the late Dillard Graves and Amy Lincoln, was born on Jan. 23, 1913, at Leora and died at his home in Westminster, Colo., on July 15, 2002, at the age of 89. Mr. Graves graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1932. Mr. Graves worked as an auto mechanic in Dexter and the Ford Company in Pueblo, and Colorado Springs, Colo., until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Dexter and Westminster. On May 25, 1935, he was united in marriage to Hazel Morris Graves at Bloomfield. She preceded him in death on March 1, 1992, at Westminster. Survivors include one son, James Darrol Graves of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Lois Joann Neuschwanger and Linda Jean Zeller of Westminster, Colo.; one brother, Russell Graves of Dexter; one sister, Lena Lind of Pensacola, Fla. (formerly of Dexter); one grandson; three great-granddaughters; and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services were conducted July 17, 2002, at Highland Mortuary. Interment followed in the Highland Cemetery in Westminster.

Gloria J. Worthington

WARRENSBURG, Mo. - Gloria J. Worthington, age 78, of Warrensburg, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, at the Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Church of Christ Restored, U. S. Highway 50, Holden, with Elder Randall Porrett officiating.

Christina Lynn Hendrickson

Christina Lynn Hendrickson, daughter of the late James Richard Cullum and Willma Maloney Cullum of Dexter, was born on Feb. 15, 1964, in Blytheville, Ark., and died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at Three Rivers Health Care North Campus, Poplar Bluff, at the age of 38. Mrs. Hendrickson was affiliated with the Essex Apostolic Church. She was married to Burnell Hendrickson. Survivors include her mother, Willma Cullum, of Dexter; one daughter, Heather C. Cullum, of the home; three sisters, Sheila Mims of Dexter, Michelle Williams of Bloomfield, and Julia Stroup of Sturdivant; one brother, Richard Alvis Cullum of Sturdivant; one step-daughter, Amanda L. Hendrickson of Washington, and one step-son Joseph W. Hendrickson, of Poplar Bluff. Visitation was held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at Bradshaw Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Parker officiating. Interment followed in Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
