Erna H. Olson, 91, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Wednesday, May 12, 2010.
Erna was born on Dec. 1, 1918 to H.F and Eugenie Suhre in Marthasville.
She married Gordon W. Olson Sr. on Jan. 20, 1946. Erna worked as an assistant manager at A&P Grocery Store in St. Charles and later at Hedges & Hafer and finally at the Tom Boy store on Kingshighway. She retired in 1978 after 38 years in the grocery business.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ella Lombardi, Nora Goodin and Edna Musco; her husband, Gordon W. Olson Sr.; her son Gordon W. Olson Jr. and her daughter-in-law, Jean Olson.
She is survived by her three grandchildren: Michael W. Olson and wife Julie, of Stuart, Fla., Karen L. Falder and husband, Ev, of Boaz, Ky. and Nancy Stewart and husband, David, of Troy, and six great-grandchildren, Sara and Drew Falder, Katherine and Samantha Olson, and Christy and Ben Stewart.
The family was being served by The Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles, MO where visitation was held Friday, May 14, 2010 12-2 p.m. Funeral Service followed at 2 p.m., in the Baue Funeral Home Chapel, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles, with interment Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of St. Charles, Community Living Care Hospice or F.I.S.H.

Danny E. Spears, 49, of Winfield, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010. He was born on Oct. 18, 1960 in St. Charles.
A memorial gathering will be held at Baue Funeral Home, 311 Wood Street, O'Fallon, Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 4-7 p.m., in the Baue Funeral Home Chapel.
Spears was employed as a carpenter.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Cancer Research.

William (Bill) David Steigner, Jr., 68, of Terra Ceia, Fla., passed away on April 9, 2010.
He was born and raised in St. Louis and later settled in Lincoln County where he lived for many years. He moved to Florida with his wife Kandee and dog Buffy 2 years ago to enjoy the beautiful weather. He worked in the mailroom at the St. Louis Post Dispatch for 36 years and retired in June of 2000.
He is preceded in death by his father, William David Steigner, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Kandee, his mother Mildred Sharp Steigner, his sisters, Sharon Russell and Bev Rodgers, brothers in law Ed (Janet) Oliver, and Chuck (Ann) Oliver, five sons, Bill (Dianne) Steigner, Bob (Julie) Steigner, Mike (Barb) DeWitt, Mike (Deb) Steigner, and David (Denise) Steigner, two daughters, Michelle Zimmerman and Karen Howard. He had eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.
Bill was cremated and per his wishes there will be no services to mark his passing, but will forever live in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his honor to your local animal shelter or food pantry.

Funeral services for Bernice Fay Lefholz, 85, of Winfield, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Rev. Richard Turnbull of Winfield, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery in Winfield.
Mrs. Lefholz passed away Wednesday morning, April 14, 2010, at her granddaughter's home in Maywood.
Born April 7, 1925, in Winfield, she was the daughter of Joseph Paul and Nannie Elizabeth Kitson Tayon. She was united in marriage on April 7, 1943, in Salina, Kan., to Verdie Henry Lefholz. This union was blessed with two children, James Vernon and Vivian Lee.
A lifelong resident of the Winfield area, she was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
Survivors include five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Edward Tayon and his wife, Rose, of Winfield; two sisters, Beatrice Wilson (her twin) of Winfield, and Mabel Harding and her husband, Frank, also of Winfield; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., with the service immediately followed at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.

Mr. Larry Collier, 64, of Whiteside, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2010 while visiting friends in Florida.
He and his identical twin brother, Gary, were born on July 26, 1945, in Hutchinson, Kan. Larry was raised by his grandparents Earl and Clara Elliott. He grew up on their farm near Waterloo, Kan. He and his brother graduated from Kingman High School in 1964. After high school, they joined the U.S. Navy. Following his time in service, Larry began working for Sedwick County and he retired from there in 2001. After retirement, he moved to Whiteside, where he lived with his sister, Carol and her husband, Bob Street.
Larry was a big help with the farming operation. Surviving are his family: his brother, Gary Collier of Whiteside; his two sisters, Carol Street and husband Bob of Whiteside and Kay Beagley of Sterling, Kan.; two nieces, Barbara Beagley of Sterling, Kan., Jennifer Johnson of St. Louis and one nephew: Jason Collier of Hutchinson, Kan.; great nephew and niece: Nathan and Laura Beagley of Sterling, Kan. He is further survived by his extended Street family, including seven great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service to be held on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 4 p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Church and Main St., Eolia, MO. Officiating will be Brother Bill Patrick. Interment to be held at a later date in Lebonon Cemetery, near Pretty Prairie, Kan. Visitation to be held on Sunday, March 21 from 2-4 p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Eolia. Memorials may be made to: Columbia VA Hospital, c/o the funeral home.

Kyle Kourtney Kuda, 48, of Kildeer, Ill., passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2010. He was born on July 4, 1961 in Troy.
He was the son of Robert and Betty (Nagle) Kuda, of Troy. He was united in marriage on Feb. 13, 1998 to Ann Craig, of Wheaton, Ill.
Kyle graduated from Buchanan High School in Troy in 1979 and Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer System Information and Accounting. He was the director of information technology for Motivation Excellence in Schaumburg, Ill.
Kyle was a fun-loving and thoughtful husband, step-father, son, sibling and person. He always had a contagious smile and big heart. Kyle was a spiritual person and gave honor to God. He was baptized at the First Christian Church of Troy, on April 15, 1979. He was a generous man, who gave to many charities.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann, who Kyle said was the answer to his prayer, that God helped him to find his soulmate; two stepchildren, Lynn Craig, of New York City, and Paul Craig, of Chicago; his parents, Robert and Betty Kuda, of Troy; four siblings, Kim Kuda and wife, Veronica, of Troy, Kari Shramek and husband, Larry, of Silex, Kay Gibson and companion, Don Colonna, of Troy, and Kristal Hubbard and husband, Keith, of Troy, his nephews and nieces, Josh and Courtney Gibson (Tyler Witt), Lauren Shramek (Brian) Richardson, Kirsten, Levi and Kristopher Shramek, Kaelan, Aeran, and Ashton Hubbard; his great-nephews and nieces, Lauralye and Brindan Richardson and Ryleigh Witt.
A memorial service was held in Chicago, Ill., on Saturday, March 13. A memorial service will also be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Troy First Baptist Church in Troy. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or charity of choice.

A Mass for Mary Lee Powers, 78, of Wentzville, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at the St. Theodore Catholic Church in Flint Hill. Fr. Gary Vollmer will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will beheld from3-8 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2010, at the Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville.
Mrs. Powers died March 13, 2010 at the Village at St. Peters.
Born May 27, 1931, in O'Fallon, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Clara Schneider. Survivors include three daughters, Janie Machens and husband, Donald, of St. Charles, Jackie Hasse and husband, John, of Wentzville and Janet Momphard, of St. Charles; two brothers, Richard Schneider, of Old Monroe and Melvin Schneider, of O'Fallon; two sisters, Olivia Huber, of O'Fallon and Helen Tochtrop, of Wentzville; 7 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Powers worked in the food service field at St. Theodore Catholic School.
Memorials to Parkinson's Association in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O.Box 248, Wentzville, MO 63385.

Funeral services for George Robert Reed, 80, of Troy, formerly of Winfield, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Richard Pillers, pastor of Elsberry Assembly of God Church, will officiate with burial in Star Hope Cemetery in Elsberry.
Mr. Reed passed away early Friday morning, March 12, 2010 at his home in Troy.
Born February 22, 1930 in Elsberry, he was the son of Homer Milton and Nellie L. Gray Reed. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army, stationed in the Panama Canal and was honorably discharged on November 21, 1952. He was united in marriage on August 25, 1951 in Mexico, MO to Patricia Ruth Admire. This union was blessed with seven children: Danny, Paul, Debbie, Linda, Rodney, Glen and Deanna. He worked for several years as a timber buyer. He was a member of the Elsberry VFW Post No. 9026 and the American Legion Post No. 226 in Elsberry.
Survivors include his companion, Loretta Portwood of Troy; four sons, Danny Reed and his wife, Judy, of Elsberry, Rodney Reed and his wife, Angie, of Elsberry, Paul Reed of Elsberry, and Glen Reed of Foley; three daughters: Debbie Gilmore and her husband, Tom, of Smyrna, Tenn., Linda Brandmeyer and her husband, Rusty, of St. Charles and Deanna Hager and her husband, Scott, of Eolia; 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves one brother, John Reed and his companion, Marie, of Foley; three sisters, Cattie Graves of Foley, Rosie Adams and her husband, Alvin Jr., of Eolia and JoAnn Ray and her husband, Jerry, of Bowling Green; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
Memorials may be made to the Family of Robert Reed or to Community Loving Care Hospice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes, 107 South Fifth Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
