YOUNG
Gerald Nicholas "Jerry" Young, 60, Versailles, died March 27, 2003, at his home.
He was born July 3, 1942, in New Brunswick, N.J., a son of Nicholas and Elizabeth Delaplane Young. He was married in 1965 to Erica Stec, who survives at the home.
A Navy veteran, he worked in the boat lift business.
Other survivors include: one son, Eric Young, Versailles; two daughters, April Young, Versailles and Paula Garfias, Mission Viejo, Calif.; two sisters, Donna Malo, Eldon, and Judy Farley, Virginia; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Pastor Jerry Frye will officiate.
RENNEKE
Bernard Henry "Ben" Renneke, 87, Ft. Collins, Colo., formerly of Argyle, died March 24, 2003, in Ft. Collins.
He was born Dec. 22, 1915, in Argyle, a son of Anton and Christine Winkle Renneke. He was married Feb. 23, 1952, in St. Louis, to Gloria Behrns, who died Oct. 19, 2002.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: one daughter, Christie Taylor, Loveland, Colo.; one sister Christine Pastor, Troy, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Aloysius Cemetery, Argyle. The Rev. John Schmitz will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
PAYNE
Patricia Dawn Clift Payne, 50, Springfield, died March 28, 2003, at her home.
She was born Aug. 22, 1942, in Kankakee, Ill., a daughter of James and Clara M. Clift, who survive in Jefferson City. She was married in August 1968 to Ed Payne, who survives at the home.
She was a 1960 graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, Ill. She attended the University of Illinois and Kent State University and received an associate's degree in 1963.
She was a medical secretary and administrative assistant for St. John's Regional Health Center, formerly Internal Medicine Associates, Springfield.
She was a member of the Springfield City Golf Association, the Missouri Women's Gold Association, the Hawthorne chapter of IAAP and Twin Oaks Country Club.
She was a member of Campbell United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include: one sister, Pam Shirk, Medina, Ohio; one stepson, John Payne, Topeka, Kan.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Campbell United Methodist Church. The Rev. Nancy Davis will officiate. Private burial will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. today at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Brentwood chapel.

LANGENDOERFER
August Charles Langendoerfer, 94, Columbia, died March 28, 2003, at his home.
He was born July 30, 1908, in St. Albert, a son of Emmert R. and Katie Bruellesauer Langendoerfer. He was married May 2, 1934, in Chamois, to Elsie R. Biesemeier, who died Aug. 24, 1993.
He was a farmer and worked as a custodian at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church.
He was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church and the Masons, most recently at Lodge 36, Boonville.
Survivors include: one son, Roger Langendoerfer, Columbia; three daughters, Lola Moellenhoff, Affton, Carol Kahle Schroder, Huber Heights, Ohio, and Bonnie Koening, Tipp City, Ohio; one sister, Louise Siebern, Jefferson City; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Columbia.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.

DALLAS
Elgie Lowell Dallas, 67, Camdenton, died March 29, 2003, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach.
He was born Aug. 10, 1935, in Cumberland County, N.C., a son of Shawn A. and Carrie C. Hancock Dallas.
He worked as a hardware store clerk.
Survivors include: one daughter, Teresa Wildgen, Camdenton; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lafayette Cemetery, Fayetteville, N.C.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
ALBERS
Charles Crawford John Albers, 69, Fulton, died March 30, 2003, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born Dec. 31, 1933, in Omaha, Neb., a son of William W. and Mary Helen Hennigar Albers. He was married Dec. 30, 1952, in Omaha, to Joyce Hrakik, who survives at the home.
He was a graduate of Omaha Technical High School. He was a floor covering installer for 40 years. He was a foster parent for 20 years, caring for nearly 300 children in Callaway County. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Fulton.
Other survivors include: four sons, Charles C. J. Albers Jr., Jefferson City, John L. Albers, Hallsville, Robert B. Albers, Ellabell, Ga., and Daryl G. Albers, Fulton; one daughter, Susan James, Kingsland, Ga.; five brothers, Louis Norbert Albers, state of Iowa, Jerry Thomas Albers, Stephan Fredrick Albers, Terry Lee Albers and Christopher William Albers, all of the state of Nebraska; five sisters, Mary Helen Owens and Margaret Loretta Niemoller, both of the state of Nebraska, Dorothy Grace Morland, Lorraine Claire Albers, and Connie Anderson, all of California; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Entombment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Chapel of Memories.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Chapel of Memories.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, Holts Summit.
BLACKBURN
Irene Blackburn, 92, Eugene, died March 29, 2003, in Jefferson City.
She was born Aug. 19, 1910, in Cole County, a daughter of Lon and Ethel Miller Duncan. She was married May 21, 1928, in Tuscumbia, to Nile William Blackburn, who died Oct. 21, 1986.
She was a homemaker and a member of Eugene Christian Church.
Survivors include: one son, Charles "Bud" Blackburn, Eugene; three daughters, Peggy Sue Hager and Wanda Carrender, both of Henley, and Betty Ott, Jefferson City; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
One grandson preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Jubal Blackburn will officiate. Burial will be in Eugene Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to Eugene Cemetery.
BRIDGES
Phyllis Bridges, 78, Sunrise Beach, died March 30, 2003, at her home.
Arrangements are at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
FRANKLIN
Rutha Mae Franklin, 42, Tipton, died March 30, 2003, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 28, 1961, in Springfield, a daughter of Nathaniel and Gladys Houston Willis. Her father survives in Springfield.
She graduated from Hillcrest High School, Springfield, in 1977 and from Reed Springs LPN School in 1996. She worked in several nursing homes and at Tipton Correctional Center for two years. She was a member of The Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include: one daughter, Megan Jones, Springfield; one brother, Nathaniel Willis Jr., Fort Wayne, Ind.; and three granddaughters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery, Springfield.
Visitation will be after the service Wednesday until 6 p.m.
