KELLY
Robert J. "Bob" Kelly, 64, Eldon, died Aug. 30, 1999, at his home.
He was born
Oct. 25, 1934, in Fairfield, a son of William E. and Muriel Christy Kelly. He was married
April 16, 1960, in Kansas City, to Barbara Fible, who survives at the home.
He lived in the Kansas City area most of his life, working for Kenworth Trucking Company for 32 years. He owned and operated a dump truck for the past 10 years. He was an Army veteran.
Other survivors include: two sons, Keven "Bo" Kelly, Plano, Texas, and Rocky Rhodes, Independence; one daughter, Victoria Walters, Marshfield; one brother, Gene Kelly, Raytown; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Bart Larson will officiate. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
RHOADS
Dr. Donald R. Rhoads, 69, Jefferson City, died Aug. 31, 1999, at his home.
He was born
Aug. 12, 1930, in Osage County, a son of Ambros and Hulda Helmig Rhoads. He was married
Dec. 31, 1950, in Maries County, to Edrie Yvonne Schweer, who died Jan. 11, 1986.
He graduated from Linn High School and received a chiropractic degree from the Logan College of Chiropractic, St. Louis, in 1959. A lifelong area resident, he practiced chiropractic medicine in Belle from 1959 to 1973, when he began his practice in Jefferson City.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Belle, and the Concept Therapy Institute, San Antonio, Texas.
Survivors include: three sons, Dr. Harvey Rhoads, Troy, Dr. Tim Rhoads, Springfield, and Dr. Bart Rhoads, Jefferson City; three brothers, Arthur Rhoads, Jefferson City, Mann Rhoads, Belle, and Carl Rhoads, Linn; one sister, Verna Schaperclaus, St. James; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. The Rev. Howard Opperman will officiate. Burial will be in Useful Cemetery, Useful.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today.

BRENDEL
Anna Brendel, 98, Freeburg, died Aug. 31, 1999, at Oakview Living Center.
She was born
Feb. 12, 1901, in Maries County, a daughter of Frank and Mary Weber Herzing. She was married
Feb. 9, 1926, in Freeburg, to Anton Brendel, who died June 2, 1975.
She was a shoe factory worker and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg.
Survivors include: one son, Anthony Brendel, Glendale, Ariz.; two daughters, Christine Wallis, Canon City, Colo., and Carol Kaltenborn, Manchester; two sisters, Theresa Reinkemeyer, Westphalia, and Cecilia Verstraete, St. Louis; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Brendel Sr., on May 26, 1994, and by three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rev. Mike Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Visitation also will be from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Masses or to the Holy Family Church and School Memorial Fund.
KRATZER
Wilbur C. Kratzer, 87, California, died Sept. 1, 1999, at the California Care Center.
He was born
Dec. 14, 1911, in Moniteau County, to Charles E. and Marie Fahrni Kratzer.
He was married
Oct. 7, 1936, in Kansas City, Mo., to Mary Argo, who survives at the home.
He owned Kennedy and Kratzer Inc. -- Potato Brokers in Chicago until his retirement. He was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ, California, a 22-year former member of the California United Church of Christ and, while in Chicago, a member of the St. Peters United Church of Christ, Skokie, Ill., where he was a Sunday School teacher and superintendent, and president of the church council and the ecumenical affairs council. He also served as a Big Brother. He graduated from California High School in 1929, attended Warrensburg Teachers College (now Central Missouri State University), then graduated from the Kansas City Central Business College. He taught at the Highland School, north of California.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Carolyn Berghoefer, Denver, Colo., and Kathryn Riemer, Evanston, Ill.; one brother, Herbert E. Kratzer, North Fork, Calif.; two sisters, Gertrude Tague, Kansas City, and Martha Dawson, Somerset, Calif.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held in October. The Rev. Gary Schulte will officiate. Burial will be in the Rohrbach Cemetery north of California.
There will be no visitation.

LAMBRECHT
Wayne D. Lambrecht, 60, Tipton, died Aug. 31, 1999, at his home.
He was born
Feb. 16, 1939, in Bordulac, N.D., a son of Ervin and Agnes Celloner Lambrecht. His father survives in Fargo, N.D. He was married
Nov. 24, 1990, in Oklahoma, to Dolores Swain, who survives.
An Army veteran, he worked for 20 years as an operating engineer for natural gas pipeline companies. He lived in Jefferson City for four years before moving to Tipton in 1995. He worked for the Missouri Highway Department for three years. After moving to Tipton, he worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections at the Tipton Correctional Center. He was a high school graduate.
Other survivors include: two sons, Thomas Wayne Lambrecht, state of Texas, and Jason Andrew Metcalf, Jefferson City; one brother, Victor Lambrecht, Fargo; three sisters, Beverly Nelson, state of California, Diane Lambrecht, Imperial, and Karen Meek, Salem, Ore.
One son, Michael Thurman, died in 1996.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Meiseneimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton. The Rev. Dusty Klein will officiate. Burial will be in Hickman Cemetery, Clarksburg.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today.
CARTER
Bertha Mae Carter, 90, Mokane, died Sept. 2, 1999, at Riverview Nursing Center, Mokane.
She was born
Oct. 18, 1908, in New Bloomfield, a daughter of Lemmual and Mary Shaw Spencer. She was married
June 17, 1925, in Center, to Lindell Hue Carter, who died Aug. 18, 1976.
She was a member of the Christian Church in Santa Fe, and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Holts Summit.
Survivors include: one daughter, Edna Kemp, Tebbetts; four granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Bull Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Monday.
DAVIS
Ruth Davis, 80, Fulton, died Sept. 2, 1999, at her home.
She was born
Dec. 19, 1918, in Elk Park, N.C., a daughter of John and Iva Lee Moody Jennings. She was married
Dec. 22, 1939, in Linn, to Howard Davis, who survives at the home.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Davis Bus Company. She was president of Readsville Community Club and taught Sunday school at Bethel United Methodist Church before moving to Fulton. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Fulton.
Other survivors include: one son, Carroll Davis, Fulton; one sister, Virginia Bahr, Colterville, Ill.; and one grandson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
ZANDER
Gertrude Marie Zander, 86, Fulton, died Sept. 3, 1999, at Callaway Community Hospital, Fulton.
She was born
June 4, 1913, in Waverly, Minn., a daughter of Emil and Marie Nelson Olson. She was married
Nov. 15, 1943, in Howard Lake, Minn., to Louis William Zander, who died Sept. 27, 1988.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fulton.
Survivors include: one son, Arlen Zander, Sartell, Minn.; one daughter, Gail Dent, Fulton; one brother, Clifford Olson, Minneapolis, Minn.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
One son, Glen Zander, and one infant daughter, Carol Ann Zander, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Mueller will officiate. Burial will be in Howard Lake Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. Monday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

BARTLEY
Dale Bartley, 57, New Bloomfield, died Sept. 4, 1999, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born
July 31, 1942, a son of Jim Dick and Abbigale Berry Bartley.
He was married
April 1, 1961, to Marilyn Dickson, who survives at the home.
He worked 20 years for the Jefferson Asphalt Co. and was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 513. He also was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Jefferson City. He was a member of the Hams Prairie Christian Church.
Other survivors include: one son, Jim Bartley, Fulton; two daughters, Tammy Bell and Anita Langley, both of New Bloomfield; two brothers, Bee Bartley, Mokane, and Lonnie Bartley, Fulton; one sister, Loretta Farmer, Fulton; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial will be in the Steedman Cemetery.
