Brenda Gail Campbell
(August 7, 1956 - December 3, 2015)
Graveside services for Brenda Gail Campbell of Hattiesburg, formerly of Carrollton, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, at Longview cemetery in Carroll County. Rev. Gary Tanner will officiate the services.
Ms. Campbell, 59, passed away on Thursday, December 3, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Ms. Campbell was born icon on August 7, 1956, to the late Marvin and Ruth Long Campbell. She was a disabled former factory worker and a member of North Carrollton Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Noland and husband, Jerry, of Carrollton; one niece; one nephew; and a host of cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Raymond Woods Sr.
(October 3, 1939 - September 2, 2016)
Funeral services for Raymond Woods Sr. of Winona will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Oakwood cemetery in Winona. Bro. Jesse Strider and Bro. Bryan Wells will officiate the services.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 3, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Woods, 76, died at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona on Friday, September 2. He was born icon in Bolivar County on October 3, 1939, to Tommy A. and Willie Vivian Farmer Woods. He was a retired serviceman for Scott Petroleum Company and a member of Winona Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Wilma Goodwin and Pauline Clark; and brother, James "Buddy" Woods.
Mr. Woods is survived by his wife of 55 years, Romalee Woods of Winona; one daughter, Paula Dees (Aaron) of Winona; three sons, Raymond Woods Jr. (Jenny) of Vaiden, Tommy Woods (Renae) of Winona, and David Woods of Winona; three sisters, Barbara Brunson (William) of Grenada, Bertie Mae Mathis (Bill) of Starkville, and Vergie Taylor of Cascilla; three brothers, Thomas Woods (Betty Jean) of Yazoo City, Luther Woods (Helen) of Grenada, and Bobby Woods (Ann) of Winona; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Woods Jr., Ryan Woods, Jason Woods, Joey Leach, Jeremy Woods, and T. J. Russell.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Winona Church of God Parking Lot Fund.

Mrs. Blanch Bailey Randle
(December 18, 1914 - March 19, 2008)
Mrs. Blanch Bailey Randle, 93, of Vaiden, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Winona Manor Nursing Home in Winona. Funeral services will be at Oliver Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21, with burial following in Vaiden cemetery in Vaiden. Rev. John L. Walker and Rev. T. R. Darsey will officiate the services. Visitation will be Thursday, March 20, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Miss Blanch was a member of Vaiden Baptist Church where she taught preschool children in Sunday School for over 40 years. She was best known for her delicious homemade cinnamon rolls which she loved to bake and share with everyone.
Miss Blanch was preceded in death by her husband, W. L. "Shorty" Randle; infant daughter, Emily Jane Randle; parents, Absie Bailey and Elba Canon Bailey Gibson; brothers, Floyd and Milton Bailey; and sister, Louise Bailey Owens.
Survivors include one son, Larry Randle and wife Lula of Winona; three daughters, Barbara Burden and husband Richard of Madison, Priss Ferguson and husband Maurice of Winona, and Judy Autrey and husband Dale of Nashville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Don Johnson, Shane Autrey, Jared Autrey, Jon Autrey, William Vaughan, and Jason Ballard.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Keith Rushing and the staff of Winona Manor Nursing Home for their excellent care of Miss Blanch.
Memorials may be made to Vaiden Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Mattie Caroline "Callie" Vinson
(May 20, 1912 - May 6, 2008)
Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Caroline "Callie" Vinson of Winona are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, at Oliver Chapel with interment following in Oakwood cemetery in Winona. Rev. Pete Heath, assisted by Rev. Rufus Carpenter, will officiate the services. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 10, from noon until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Vinson died on Tuesday, May 6, at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Clinton. She was 95 years old.
Mrs. Vinson was the daughter of the late Willie W. Childress and the late Georgia Freeman Childress, and the widow of the late Rev. H. B. Vinson.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Vinson and Darrell Vinson. She was a homemaker and former employee of White's Auto Store.
She was a member of Hayes Creek Baptist Church near Winona.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Shedd and her husband, Gary, of Heidelberg and Jane Brackhahn of Memphis, Tennessee; one son, Larry Vinson and his wife, Marlene, of Byram; twelve grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.

Carolyn Bruce Rose
(October 10, 1930 - June 12, 2008)
Carolyn Bruce Rose, age 77, died Thursday, June 12, 2008 at home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Formerly of Dallas, Texas, she also lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Jackson, Mississippi.
She was born icon October 10, 1930 in Cleveland, Mississippi, the daughter of John Douglas Simmons and Emmye Elizabeth Bowe Simmons. On September 7, 1951 she was married icon to James F. Rose. She graduated from MSCW in Cleveland and taught 5th grade in Starkville, Mississippi. In Dallas, she owned and operated Rose Designs, specializing in interior corporate and home decorating. She was a volunteer for the Dallas Symphony and the Santa Fe Opera.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Rose, her son Phillip D. Rose and her brothers, Dr. Calvin R. Simmons of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, John D. Simmons and her sister, Emmye Bowe Baker.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Rose Jones and David M. Jones of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law, James F. Rose, Jr. and Kristina Rose of Lyons, Colorado; Ken Murphy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Christen Jade Rice, Logan Glen Rice, Matthew David Jones, Caton Alexander Jones and Andrew James Rose; sister-in-laws, Jeanne Simmons and Dora Rose Herring; brother-in-law, Eddie Baker, H. C. and Jane Rose, Dr. Lloyd and Lynn Rose, and numerous Simmons and Rose family nieces and nephew.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Oakwood cemetery in Winona, Mississippi, under the direction of Oliver Funeral Home with Rev. Clifton Curtis officiating. A memorial celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the St. Lukes Episcopal Church, Hot Springs, Arkansas with Rev. C. B. Baker officiating.
Known by all of her friends as "Bruce" she was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Hot Springs and St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church of Dallas, Texas. She was "Mimi" to her grandchildren and she loved to read and teach them through books and travel. Her strong Christian faith, joyful outlook and endless optimism were an inspiration for all that knew her. All the people whose life she touched will remember her by her loving spirit, her generous nature and her love of her church, family and friends.
A very special thanks from the family is extended to her caregivers, Dr. Mark Lefler, Robin Baker, RN, Dr. Martin Koehn, and the caring staff of Heavenly Touch Sr. Care Homes - Deanna Andrews, and Linda Crafton, along with Susie Wise, and Linda Hughes, RN who all provided love and comfort for her until the end, and all the staff at Arkansas Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Heavenly Touch Sr. Services, 1420 Blacksnake Road Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913 c/o Deanne Andrews or St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Archie Bennett, Jr.
(January 24, 1943 - September 26, 2008)
Graveside funeral services for Archie Bennett, Jr., of Winona, formerly of Durant, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, at New Hope cemetery near Winona, with Mr. Mark Dillman officiating. Interment will immediately the service. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28, from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Bennett died of cirrhosis of the liver on Friday, September 26, 2008, at Grenada Lake Medical Center in Grenada. He was 65 years old.
Mr. Bennett was the son of Mary "Maggie" Bennett of Winona and the late Archie Bennett. He was the widower of the late Ruby Horton Bennett. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ in Durant.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Bennett is survived by one daughter, Katrina Braggs of Jackson; two sisters, Mary Green of French Camp and Sylvia Tucker of Pelahatchie; and five brothers, Bobby Bennett of Winona, Stevie Bennett of Florence, Tom Bennett of Durant, James Bennett of Winona, and John Bennett of Winona.

Cynthia Kay Bell
(November 29, 1955 - January 6, 2011)
Funeral services for Cynthia Kay Bell of Winona are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, at Oliver Chapel, with burial following in the Garden of Memory in Winona. Rev. Reidis Nash will officiate the services.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bell died of complications from cancer at Grenada Lake Medical Center in Grenada on Thursday, January 6, 2011. She was 55 years old.
Mrs. Bell was the daughter of Vera Bryant of Winona and the late Arvel Bryant.
She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Holly, Michigan.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Dennis Bell of Winona; daughter, Shantel Elizabeth Bell of Winona; two sons, William "Bill" Ferguson, Jr., and his wife, Blair, of Winona and Bryant Louis Bell of Winona; six sisters, Glenda White of Pacific Way, WA; Judy Hicks of Evanston, WY; Vada Riederich of Lake Linden, MI; Shirley Chambers of Swartz Creek, MI; Cathern Johnson of Winter Park, FL; and Mary Lucas of Winona; one brother, Arvel Clifton Bryant of Grass Valley, CA; and one grandchild.

Nettie Lois Pickens Tullos
(December 8, 1927 - October 18, 2013)
Nettie Lois Pickens Tullos, 85, of Jacksonville, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2013, in Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Oakwood cemetery in Winona.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tullos was a former cashier at Cooks Department Store and Margolis Men Store.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Tullos; her son, Keith Tullos, Jr.; parents, Earl and Nettie C. Elmore Pickens; her brothers, Jack Pickens, Lewis (Pete) Pickens, Harold Pickens, Bobby Pickens; and sisters, Mildred Butler and Dolly Pickens, all of Mississippi. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Maddox, and her husband, Jay, of Jacksonville, NC.

Johnny Holly
(August 3, 1956 - October 15, 2014)
Johnny Holly, 58, of Vaiden died of heart failure at his home on Wednesday, October 15. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Holly was born icon in Vaiden on August 3, 1956, to the late Homer and Gladys McDaniel Holly. He was a heavy equipment operator. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Opal Petty and Jean Lyons; and a brother, Billy Joe Holly.
Mr. Holly is survived by three brothers, Bobby Lee Holly of Clarksville, Arkansas, Jimmy Holly of Vaiden, Tommy Holly of Vaiden; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Georgia Bond Orsborn
(November 7, 1930 - August 19, 2016)
Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Bond Orsborn of Winona will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, at New Hope United Methodist Church near Winona, with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. John Ford, Rev. Billy Mitchell, and Rev. Mac Burrell will officiate the services.
Visitation will be Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Orsborn, 85, died at Vaiden Community Living Center in Vaiden on Friday, August 19. She was born icon on November 7, 1930, to George and Era Chandler Bond. She was a retired quality control inspector for J.A. Olson Company and a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Wesley "PeeWee" Orsborn.
Mrs. Orsborn is survived by six sisters, Dorothy Nail of Kilmichael, Linda Barnhill of Winona, Julia Bond of Kilmichael, Bonnie Mann of Kilmichael, Brenda Dees of McCool, and Luna Montague of Kilmichael; four brothers, Neal Bond of Winona, Carol Bond of Kilmichael, Billy Bond of Kilmichael, and James "Bud" Bond of Kilmichael; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Welch, Mike Peeples, Brad Johnson, Bill Vail, William Travis Johnson, and Phil Johnson. The men of New Hope United Methodist Church and the nephews of the Bond family will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope cemetery Fund, c/o Annette Mills, 504 Jones Street, Winona, MS 38967.

Verna W. Shelton
(December 11, 1906 - February 1, 2008)
Graveside funeral services for Miss Verna W. Shelton of Ridgeland are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 4, at Bluff Springs cemetery in Carroll County. Rev. David Dennis will officiate.
Miss Shelton died Friday, February 1, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
She was 101.
Miss Shelton was the daughter of the late William Hugh Shelton and Minnie Lee Houston Shelton. She was a retired accountant for the Mississippi State Board of Health and a member of the Presbyterian church.
Miss Shelton is survived by her brother, Hugh Lamar Shelton of Ridgeland, two nieces, two nephews, one great-niece, and one great-nephew.
