Henry, Theresa Rose
Theresa Rose Henry, 42, of Sardis died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at her home of heart failure.
Funeral services are today at 10 a.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Batesville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Terry Tribble will officiate. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Oct. 2, 1960, to Roosevelt and Christine Otts, was a hotel hostess.
Survivors include her parents, Roosevelt Otts and Christine Otts of Batesville; five sons, James Henry of Batesville, Joey Henry, Justin Henry, Joshua Henry, all of Horn Lake and Christopher Oswalt of Batesville; two brothers, Fred Otts of Marion, Ark., and Alan Otts of Covington, Tenn., a sister, Cathy Otts Carithers of Horn Lake, and two grandchildren, Bryce Henry and James Henry II.
Herring, Alvin
Alvin Herring, 84, of Courtland, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at his residence.
Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Salem M.B. Church. Burial will be at Salem cemetery. Rev. Larry Itson will officiate. Cooley's Mortuary has charge.
Herring, born
June 24, 1918, to the late John Wesley Herring and the late Bernena Jackson, was a retired repairman for Dunlap & Kyle, a member of Salem M.B. Church in Courtland, a US Army Veteran of WWII, a Deacon, a Sunday School teacher and a choir director.
Survivors include his wife Verlena Herring of Courtland; one daughter Linda Sisson of Redford, Mich.; one brother Carl Edward Herring of Memphis; one sister Exie M. Henderson of Cleveland, Ohio; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.4
Herrin, James Edward
James Edward Herrin, 79, of Batesville, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at his residence.
Services are today at 1 p.m. at the Batesville Church of Christ. Burial is at Batesville Magnolia cemetery. Robert Rawson and Michael Bates will officiate. Dickins Funeral Home has charge.
Herrin, born
Aug. 12, 1924, to the late Amos Mabry Herrin and the late Lura Lee Wells Herrin, was a retired Riverboat Captain and a local business owner and member of Batesville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife Lillie Rebecca "Becky" Herrin of Batesville; one daughter Doris Jean Allredge of Tupelo; one son James Edgar Herrin of Rowlett, Texas and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Sardis Lake Children's Camp.
Herron, Nona Finley Shook
Nona Finley Shook Herron, 100, of Sardis, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at Sardis Community Nursing Home.
Services were Thursday at the Batesville Presbyterian Church. Burial was at Batesville Magnolia cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Henry Williamson officiated. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.
Herron, born
Nov. 2, 1902, to the late Soloman M. Shook and the late Nona Denman Shook, was a member of the Batesville Presbyterian Church, a book keeper and a teacher.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Herron, Sr. and her daughter Virginia Herron Smith.
Survivors include one son Leonard C. Herron, Jr. of Milford, Conn.; one daughter Elizabeth 'Lib' Herron Vinson of Courtland; one sister Janey Shook; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and her close friend Lynn Jones of Drew.

Hickey, Chester Lee
Chester Lee Hickey, 66, of Batesville, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.
Services were Wednesday at Courtland Church of Christ. Burial was at Forrest Memorial Park. Mr. Hal Johnson and Rev. Robert Hickey officiated. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.
Hickey, born, Oct. 27, 1937, to the late Glover Chester Hickey and the late Mattie Lillian Arnold Hickey, was a member of Courtland Church of Christ, church treasurer for 36 years, a serviceman for Dowdle Gas Company and retired from Dowdle Gas Company.
Survivors include his wife Paula Ann Brewer Hickey of Batesville; one son David Hickey of Batesville; one brother Rev. Robert Hickey of Senatobia; one sister Ruth Harmon of Olive Branch; three grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

Hill, Charline J.
Charline J. Hill, 79, of Fulton, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at North Mississippi Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. at Senter Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Tommy Winders officiated the service. Burial followed in Campbelltown cemetery near Guntown.
Hill, daughter of the late Demp and Lottie Bell Parham Johnson, was born
April 17, 1923, in Prentiss County. She was a retired nursing aid and a member of the Fulton First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Hill, of Batesville and Tim Hill of Nashville, Tenn; five sisters, Elois Storey of Rock Springs, Ga., Mary Love Jumper of Lafayette, Ga., Joyce Pannell and Gail Johnson, both of Guntown, and Charlotte Mead of Ecru; one brother, Thomas Johnson of Guntown; and five grandchildren Sonya Kisner, Justin Hill, Jonathan Hill, Ana Hill and Jered Hill.

Holloway, Alexander
Alexander Holloway, 86, of Sardis, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.
Services are today at Howard Chapel C.M.E. Church in Como at 1 p.m. Burial is at Rose Hill cemetery in Sardis. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home has charge.
Holloway, was a farmer and a member of Howard Chapel C.M.E. Church.
Survivors include one sister Mary Black of Sardis; two brothers, J.P. Holloway of Menifee, Ark. and Johnson Holloway of Richmond, Calif.
Holstine, Hugh Roy
Hugh Roy Holstine, 71, of Batesville, died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at Northeast Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Tupelo of heart failure.
Services were Sunday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Magnolia cemetery in Batesville. Reverend Bobby Kounce officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Jan. 11, 1932, to the late James Henry and Sadie Ray Denley Holstine, was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife Sara Ruth Holstine of Batesville; three step-sons, Kenneth Goss of Southaven, Sandie Goss of Pope and David Goss of Batesville; two brothers, Jessie Holstine and Charles Holstine both of Lorado, Texas; four step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Hoskins, Doris B.
Doris B. Hoskins, 76, of Batesville, died Friday Dec. 27, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Funeral services were Thursday, Jan. 2, at 1 p.m. at Concord M.B. Church in Batesville. Rev. W.L. Nash officiated services. Interment was in Concord cemetery. Cooley's Mortuary had charge of arrangements.

Aug. 26, 1926, in Panola County to the late Buford Buckley and Etta Hudson was a retired cook and a member of Concord M.B. Church in Batesville.
Survivors include four sons, Ronald Hoskins, Kenneth Hoskins, and Ira James Hoskins, all of Batesville; six daughters, Earniece Foster of Memphis, Tenn., Linda Sutton of Kansas City, Kan., Jean Hoskins of Frameingham, Mass., Valorie Shegog of Wood Bridge, Va., Hattie Buckley DeJohnette of Chicago, Ill., and Idella Ware of Elkhart, Ind.; six sisters, Bennette Griffin of Chicago, Vernice Partee of Burkley, Cal., Merdith Buckley of Chicago, Jacqueline Brock of Oakland, Cal., Patricia Woodford, Memphis, Tenn., and Rosa Brown, of Chicago; 25 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Frieda Mae Larmer Houpt, 92, of Corinth, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at Magnolia Regional Health Center.
Services are today at North Corinth Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Memorial Park cemetery in Memphis.
Survivors include one son Glenn Houpt of Corinth; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
