DULIN, Flora Jo Wilson
SARDIS - Flora Jo Wilson Dulin, 74, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at Tri - Lakes Medical Center.

Graveside services are today at 3 p.m. at Clear Creek cemetery. Rev. Virgil Nelson Jr. will officiate. Dickins Funeral Home has charge.

Dulin, born icon Jan. 12, 1932, in Lafayette County to the late Jodie Starnes and the late Lois Stockwell Starnes, was a farmer.

She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Wayne Wilson, one daughter, Brenda Gail Wilson, one brother, Billy Starnes and her husband, Top Dulin.

Survivors include her God - daughter, Rita LaCook Lader of New Albany; two sisters, Carol Lucas of Sardis and Malba Creswell of Olive Branch and two grandchildren, Phaedra Wilson and Jacey Wilson.

TURNER, Robert Wesley
SARDIS - Robert Wesley Turner, 44, died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at Tri - Lakes Medical Center.

Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Rock Hill M.B. Church in Sardis. Visitation is today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Cooley's Mortuary. Rev. Charles Becton will officiate. Burial will be in Old Rock Hill cemetery in Sardis with full military honors. Cooley's Mortuary has charge.

Turner, born icon Nov. 20, 1961, in Batesville to the late Jessie L. Turner and the late Elvera Hawkins Turner, served in the National Guard and was a factory worker. He was a member of New Rock Hill M.B. Church in Sardis and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include seven sisters, Mary Butler of Sardis, Alma Hawkins of Chicago, and Tina Liggins, Jessie Mae Benson, Ella Ford, Oletitia Benson and Patricia Benson, all of Batesville and 12 brothers, Jessie Turner Jr. and Ulysee Turner, both of Sardis, William Turner of Como, Sylvester Turner of Batesville, George Turner of Memphis, Jimmy Turner of Detroit, Mich., Curtis Turner and Marshall Turner, both of Chicago, Christopher Turner of El Paso, Texas, and Tommy Benson, Dennis Benson and Willie B. Benson, all of Batesville.

JONES, Kandace Grace
BATESVILLE - Kandace Grace Jones, 3, died Tuesday, December 5, at her residence.

Services are today at 1 p.m. at McBride Funeral Home in Ripley. Brother Tommy Wilbanks will officiate. Visitation will be today from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. Burial will be in Friendship cemetery in Benton County. McBride Funeral Home has charge.

Jones, born icon to Nathaniel Kane and Tammy Faye Jones of Batesville, attended West View Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd and Anna Faye Wilbanks.

Survivors along with her parents include: two sisters, Krystal Nicole Jones and Katlin Ann Jones of Batesville; her grandparents, Peggy and Larry Jones of Batesville, Dorcie Fercitsh of Milwaukee, Wis., and Roy Jones; her step - grandmother, Lugene Jones of Booneville, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

KING, Ruth Lavern Walker
COMO - Ruth Lavern Walker King, 86, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Services are Saturday at 1 p.m. at Como United Methodist Church in Como. Visitation will be at Como United Methodist Church from noon - 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Forest Hill South cemetery in Memphis. Pate - Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia has charge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. King.

King was head bookkeeper for the Daugherty and Liddle Construction firm for over 30 years where she was the first president of the Women in Construction Organization. She was also bookkeeper for her family - owned business, King Furniture in Memphis, and then was bookkeeper for Northwest Office Machine Company in Senatobia from 1990 - 2003.

Survivors include: five sons, Allen Addington and Donald Addington, both of Memphis, Dr. Robert Michael King of Minneapolis, Minn., Richard D. King of Como and Ronald L. King of Cordova, Tenn.; six grandchildren and six great - great - grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to Como United Methodist Church or the charity of the donors choice.

MANGUM, Ellen Smith
HERNANDO - Ellen Smith Mangum, 56, formerly of Batesville, died Monday, December 4, 2006.

Services are today at 2 p.m. at Hernando Funeral Home. Hernando Funeral Home has charge.

Mangum was a homemaker.

Survivors include: one daughter, Tracy Mangum Cook of Hernando; one son, Thomas E. Mangum of Hernando; two sisters, Mary Smith Sorey of Southaven and Bonita Mangum Staten of Greenwood; a host of grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

MOORMAN, Bobby Darrell
SLEDGE - Bobby Darrell Moorman, 62, died Sunday, December 3, 2006, at Baptist Hospital in Oxford.

Services were Thursday at Sledge United Methodist Church. Burial was in Memorial Gardens in Clarksdale. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.

Moorman, born icon June 26, 1944, in Lambert to Laverne and R.D. Moorman of Sledge, was a graduate of Mississippi State University. He served in the U.S. Air Force as Captain during Vietnam. He was also a member of Sledge United Methodist Church.

Survivors, along with his parents, include: one sister, Sandra Moorman Hall of Crenshaw, and one brother, James Roy Moorman of Clarksdale.

MORGAN, Walter 'Dub'
CRENSHAW - Walter 'Dub' Morgan, 71, died Saturday, December 2, 2006, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto in Southaven.

Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Longtown Church of God in Longtown. Rev. Johnny Jones will officiate. Visitation is today from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. with family hour from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home in Sardis. Burial will be in Longtown cemetery. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Sardis has charge.

Morgan, born icon June 22, 1935, to the late Booker T. and Virgie Mae Morgan in Sledge, was a retired maintenance man with Federal Compress. He was a member of Springhill M.B. Church in Crenshaw where he was an usher.

Survivors include: his wife, Georgia Morgan of Memphis; two daughters, Hildred Johnson of Memphis and Sandra Nunley of Horn Lake; two sons, Walter Morgan of Memphis and Anthony Morgan of Crenshaw; three step - daughters, Vanessa Thompson of Crenshaw, Belinda Ward of Strayhorn and Barbara Johnson of Horn Lake; four sisters, Gloria C. Williams of Crenshaw, Willie D. Stephens of Detroit, Mich., Irma Wilborn of Denver, Colo. and Bettye Pittman of Memphis; three brothers, Wardean Morgan and Eddie Morgan, both of St. Louis, Mo. and Elton Morgan of Crenshaw; one brother - in - law, James Reed of Sardis; 13 grandchildren and 15 great - grandchildren.

MOSLEY, Condra
COLDWATER - Condra Mosley, 28, died Sunday, December 3, 2006, in Coldwater.

Services are Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Bethlehem M.B. Church. Rev. J.W. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in McIvor Creek cemetery. Pate - Jones Funeral Home of Senatobia has charge.

Survivors include: her mother and step - father, Catherine and Calvin Dennis of Coldwater; her father, Stanley Mosley of Cockrum; her grandmother, Ethel Hampton of Coldwater; two sisters, Tonia Nolen and Jennifer Mosley, both of Horn Lake and one brother, Derrick Mosley of Memphis.

SHIPP, John Henry
COMO - John Henry Shipp, 59, died Saturday, December 2, 2006, at Tri - Lakes Medical Center in Batesville.

Services are Saturday at noon at Cistern Cistern Hill M.B. Church. Rev. Eugene Stovall will officiate. Burial will be in Cistern Hill Church cemetery. Pate - Jones Funeral Home has charge.

Survivors include: his mother, Easter Mae Petty of Como, and his father, Rev. Mack Taylor Sr. of Como; four daughters, Doris Shipp of Looxahoma, Reneitha Dishmon of Como, Linda Onidas and Stephanie Onidas, both of Memphis; one step - daughter, Angela Bobo of Looxahoma; seven sisters, Rosietta Woodley of Memphis, Carrie Frost of Como, Donna Taylor, Carolyn Taylor and Glendora Dugger, all of Como, Barbara Crowe of Toledo, Ohio and Gwendolyn Cox of Houston, Texas; nine brothers, Fred Petty, Jessie James Petty, Jessie Earl Petty and Woodrow Petty, all of Como, Larry Taylor of Cleveland, Ohio, Aubrey Taylor, Leon Taylor and Mack Taylor Jr., all of Como, and Bridge Taylor of Holly Springs; 11 grandchildren and one great - grandchild.

Alewine, Dolly Ophelia Ragon
Dolly Ophelia Ragon Alewine, 87, of Batesville, died Saturday, March 20, 2004, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville of heart failure.

Services were Tuesday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Burial was in Liberty Hill cemetery in Pope. Rev. Kevin Crofford officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Alewine was a member of Sardis Lake Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include three sons, Danny Alewine and Steve Alewine, both of Courtland and David Alewine of Itta Bena; five daughters, Carol Cook of Como, Ann Hudspeth and Claudette Wages, both of Senatobia, Delrose Cook of Courtland and Frances Garrison of Sardis; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fletcher Claude Alewine.

Alexander, Barbara Ann Golden
Barbara Ann Golden Alexander, 54, of Marks, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at Quitman County Hospital in Marks.

Alexander, born icon Dec. 13, 1949, was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Lambert. Burial will be in Marks cemetery. Rev. Bobby Bell will officiate. Kimbro Funeral Home has charge.

Survivors include her husband Bobby Alexander of Marks; one daughter Renee Rodgers of Marks; two sons, Joe Dunn of Fairburn, Ga. and Brock Dunn of Gainesville, Ga.; two step-sons, Ricky Alexander of New Albany and Stevie Alexander of Poplarville; four sisters, Peggy Clemmor, Jane Roberson and Irene Smith, all of Lambert and Lorene Morgan of Marks; eight brothers, Earl Golden, John Golden, and Floyd Golden, all of Marks, Junior Golden of Oakland, Jake Pruett of Quitman, C.W. Pruett of Ripley, Gene Golden of Crowder and Vernon Golden of Lambert; 8 grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to Charity Hospice of Marks.

Allen, Catherine Emily Metzger Pattridge
Batesville - Catherine Emily Metzger Pattridge Allen, 78, of Batesville, died Monday, May 17, 2004, at her residence.

Memorial services were Thursday at her home on Barnacre Road. Rev. Gary Berry and Carl Brown officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Pattridge, born icon July 21, 1925, worked with many organizations including 4-H Clubs of Mississippi, Cattleman's Association, Delta Council and Girl Scouts of America. She was also involved with the Batesville Garden Club, the Garden Clubs of Mississippi and Batesville Friends of the Library. Her awards included Delta Council Achievement Award for Outstanding Producer of Purebred Beef Cattle, First Woman to be named Cattleman-of-the-Year by the Panola County Cattlemen's Association, Honorary Chapter Farmer with Future Farmers of America and numerous other awards.

Survivors include her husband William Wade Allen of Batesville; three daughters, Catherine Pattridge Cole of Memphis, Susan Pattridge Berryhill of Dublin and Mary Nell Pattridge Sturgeon of Birmingham, Ala.; two sons, Peter John Pattridge of Batesville and David Joseph Pattridge of Shreveport, La.; two step-daughters, Lisa Allen of Birmingham, Ala. and Leslye Allen Koch of Memphis; and 14 grandchildren.
