Services were Saturday at Kimbro Funeral Home Chapel in Marks. Burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery in Sledge. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.

Tidwell, Dr. William "Bill"
Dr. William "Bill" Tidwell, 70, of Marks, died Saturday, March 20, 2004, at Quitman County Hospital in Marks of heart failure.
Services were Monday at National Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksdale. Burial was in Memorial Gardens. Dr. Phillip Tidwell officiated. National Funeral Home had charge.

May 27, 1933, graduated from Panola High School and Blue Mountain Baptist Bible College in New Orleans, La. He was the pastor of Gateway Baptist Church in Lurand and had preached for 45 years in the Clarksdale area.
Survivors include his wife Ruby Jaco Tidwell of 54 years; three daughters, Rita Moore of Tupelo, Barbara Tackett of Marks and Sarah Garrard of Lyon; two sons, Dr. Phillip Tidwell and Wesley Tidwell, both of Marks; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Tillman, Louis Robert "Bob" Jr.
Sardis, MS - Louis Robert "Bob" Tillman Jr., 64, of Sardis, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at his residence of heart failure.
Services were Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Burial was in Union cemetery in Tillatoba. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Oct. 28, 1939, to the late Louis Robert and late Nerene Gregory Tillman Sr., was a member of Tillatoba Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Sarah Goode Tillman in Sardis; three daughters, Becky Howard Heutess of Hernando, Wanda Howard Billingsley of Sardis and Nan Tillman Robertson of Greenville; six sons, Tery Tillman of Middleburg, Fla., Tony Tillman, Danny Tillman and Robert Lee Tillman, all of Greenville, Larry Howard of Sardis and Eddie Howard of Batesville; three sisters, Pat Tillman Deck and Elizabeth Tillman McClendon, both of Tillatoba and Ann Tillman Houston of Grenada; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister Joyce Tillman Weir.
Tippit, Ernal Frank
Ernal Frank Tippit, 101, of Cleveland, died Friday, September 17, 2004, at Long Term Care in Cleveland.
Tippit, born
July 23, 1903, to the late William James Tippit and Minnie Hentz Tippit, graduated from Courtland Agriculture High School in Courtland and attended Nelson Business College. He served his country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one brother, Martin Tippit of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Lucy Yurasck of Menahawkin, N.J.; his caregiver, Mary M. Pate and his caregiver and loyal friend Sammie McNeil; seven nieces and nephews and a host of friends from The Cleveland State Bank, where he was employed for 66 years.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Cleveland.

Oakland, MS - Charles Tolbert, 77, of Oakland, died Sunday, April 11, 2004, at Grenada Health & Rehab Center.
Services are today at Pine Grove M.B. Church in Oakland at 11 a.m.. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. W.H. Johnson will officiate. Cooley's Mortuary, Inc. has charge.
Tolbert, born
June 28, 1926 in Oakland, to the late Sam and late Martha Lester Tolbert, was a retired school bus driver, custodian and a farmer. He was also a member of Massive Grove M.B. Church in Oakland and served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Tolbert of Oakland and Lucy Pittman of Grenada; seven sons, Charles Tolbert, Albert Tolbert Douglas Williams and Jessie Williams, all of Oakland, Clifton Tolbert of Anniston, Ala., Carl Tolbert of Starkville and George Bradford of Bowling Green, Ky.; two sisters, Josephine Boyd of Oakland and Eva Nevels of Memphis; one brother Roosevelt Tolbert of Tillatobia; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Zadye Mae Towles, 88, of Batesville, died Friday, June 21, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare Nursing Home in Batesville.
Services were Monday at Dickins Funeral Home in Batesville. Burial was in McIvor cemetery. Rev. Ray Legge officiated. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

March 20, 1916, to William Burrell Scallorn and Elizabeth Lawrence Faulkner Scallorn, was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Batesville.
Survivors include four sons, James Harvey Towels of New Egypt, N.J., William L .Towles of St. Louis, Mo., Richard Towles of Batesville and John Hillary Towles Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter Carol Mothershed; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son Marvin Towles; and her husband Hillary Towles. All memorials may be made to McIvor cemetery.

Vaneda Wright Tramel, 66, of Batesville, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at her residence.

Survivors include her husband Travis Lewis Tramel Sr. of Batesville; one daughter and her husband, Judy Lynne Tramel and Jules Anthony Fos of Batesville; two sons, Travis Lewis Jr. and wife Donna Credille Tramel and Ricky Lee Tramel, all of Batesville; seven sisters, Alliene Wright Vick of Jackson, Hazel Wright Jones of Oxford, Jeanette Wright Smith, Judy Wright Tidwell, and Sylvia Wright Hadinger, all of Batesville, Priscilla Wright Carter and Susan Wright Stevens, both of Sardis; two brothers, Gene Douglas Wright of Looxahoma and Donald Wright of Batesville; and two grandchildren, Christopher Lewis Fos and Hilda Renee Fos.

Sardis, Miss. - Judy Basford Troxell, 58, of Sardis, died Sunday, August 29, 2004, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Truemper, Virginia D. "Ginny"
Virginia D. Truemper, 72, of Wilmington, Del., died Thursday, August 4, 2004.
Graveside services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's cemetery in Helena, Ark. Roller Citizen Funeral Home has charge.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Finch and her husband, Joseph T. Truemper.
Survivors include one brother James "Saint" Finch; one sister Margaret; six sons, Edward T. Truemper of Omaha, N.E., Timothy C. Truemper of Salisbury, N.C.; Charles M. Truemper and Roger L. Truemper, both of Wilmington, Del., Jon H. Truemper of Landsdale, Pa. and James H. Truemper of Baltimore, Md.; one daughter Connie Truemper of Garwood, N.J.; and six grandchildren.
