Kathy Marie Price Roberts, 51, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Neshoba County General Hospital.
Funeral services were April 15 at 2 p.m. from Cherry Chapel United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Horace Jackson, Rev. G.C. Killingsworth and Rev. Robert Garcia officiating.
Burial was in Cherry Chapel cemetery under the direction of McClain-Hays Funeral Home.
A long-time resident of Neshoba County and member of Cherry Chapel United Pentecostal Church, she formerly worked for Wells-Lamont as a seamstress.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Roberts, Philadelphia; five daughters: Robin Rogers, Jessie Roberts, Ashton Roberts and Autumn Roberts, all of Philadelphia, and Amy Roberts, Virginia Beach, VA; two sons, Richard Price and Steven Roberts, both of Philadelphia, 13 grandchildren; father, Glendale Moore, Carthage; mother, Mildred Moore, Philadelphia; five sisters, Wanda Barrett, Joyce Barnett, Rhonda Buchanan and Brenda Dianne Osterloh, all of Philadelphia, and Carolyn Belk, Carthage; and one brother, Roger Moore, Franklin, LA.
Pallbearers were Dean Belk, Jon Belk, Robert Rogers, Davy Moore, Chris Belk, Earl Ferguson, Jr. Dawson and Hugh Belk.

Ina Louise Adcock
Ina Louise Adcock, 96, of Carthage, died April 15, 2005 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Apostolic Church of Carthage, with Rev. J.E. Burgess, Rev. Greg Fortenberry and Rev. Richard Forsythe officiating.
Burial was in the Mars Hill cemetery in Winston County with Wilcox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Veneal King, Carthage; a son, John W. Manning, Castill, Germany; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joe Burgess, Mike Cothran, Tim Hinkle, Tim King, Johnny Agent, Layton Agent, Robert Posey and Gerald Irwin.

Allie Fair Gardner
Allie Fair Gardner, 94, of Carthage, died April 15, 2005 at her residence.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Rocky Hill Church of God with Rev. Steve Roberts and Rev. C.M. Jinkerson officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Faye Henderson, Carthage; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Flossie Lee Gardner, Sebastopol, and Clennie Mae Gardner, Tyler, Texas.

Myrtle Clotel Watkins
Myrtle Clotel Watkins, 95, of Houston, died Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Floy Dyer Manor.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Tom Brooks officiating.
Burial was in Old Pleasant Hill cemetery with Wilcox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
A native of Leake County, she was of the Cumberland Presbyterian faith.
Survivors include two sons, Hubert Watkins and Doug Watkins, both of Houston; one daughter, Josephine Babb, Houston; 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; 34 great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Travis Sanders, Billy Watkins, Robert Watkins, Danny Watkins, Leon Burgess, Brooks Watkins and John Coleman.

Reba Lynn Johnson
Reba Lynn Johnson, 51, of Carthage, died April 17, 2005 at University Medical Center, Jackson.
Services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel, Sebastopol, with Rev. Barbara Taylor officiating.
Burial was in the Lake cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Johnson, Carthage; one daughter, Shannon Mowles, Modesto, CA; one son, Gary Mowles, Eugene, OR; five grandchildren; her mother, Maxine Lindley, Harrison, CA; four sisters and one brother.
Pallbearers were Mark Ware, Matt Ware, Dustin Gibbs, Thomas Everett, Teddy Stokes and Timmy Leppard.

Nadine Henderson
Nadine Thornton Henderson, 87, of Kosciusko, died Thursday, April 14, 2005, at The University Nursing Home in Durant.
Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jordan Funeral Home with burial in Parkway cemetery. Rev. Thomas Wicker officiated.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Withers Miller and Tammy Thrasher, both of Kosciusko; two sisters, Idell Renfroe, Vicksburg, and Quay Oliphant, Carthage; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Sallis Baptist Church, Highway #429, Sallis, MS 39160.

Polly Dorsey
Polly Dorsey, 73, a housewife, died April 15, 2005 at Central Mississippi Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel in Kosciusko, with burial following in Corinth cemetery in the Singleton Community in Leake County.
Rev. Marshall Lum officiated.
Survivors include one son, Larry Dorsey, Pearl; one brother, Jimmy Morgan, Braxton; one sister, Catherine Abels, Philadelphia; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Henry Glen Freeny
Henry Glen Freeny, 79, a retired Carthage farmer, died March 25, 2005 at Leake Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Wilcox Funeral Home, with Rev. Randolph Scott and Bro. Jim Burns officiating.
Burial was in Standing Pine cemetery.
A native of Leake County and member of Standing Pine Baptist Church, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Freeny; a son, Michael Clay Freeny, Carthage; four daughters, Janie Huckaba and Joan Freeny, both of Jackson, Mary Tinsley, Carthage, and Glenda Ware, Walnut Grove; a brother, Howard Freeny, Carthage; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Otis Earnest, Bert Scott, Shelly Peoples, Jr., Bud Shepard, Kent Wilcher and Henry Freeny.

Opal Jewel Hollis
Opal Jewel Hollis, 93, of Carthage and a former Carthage Corporation employee, died March 25, 2005 at her daughter’s home.
Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wilcox Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Pilgrim and Rev. Randolph Scott officiating.
Burial was in the Mars Hill cemetery.
A native Leake countian, she was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Kea, Huntsville, AL, Billie Phillips and Sammie Russell, both of Carthage; two sons, R.T. Hollis and Jimmy Dale Hollis, both of Carthage; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Randall Hollis, Ronnie Hollis, Mitch Hollis, Mike Hollis, Ray Hollis, Terry Hollis, Tim Hollis Burt Phillips, Morris Kea and Murray Kea.

Laverne Kennedy
Laverne Kennedy, 81, a retired seamstress in Philadelphia, died March 24, 2005 at Neshoba County General Hospital.
Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Cedarlawn cemetery.
A native and lifelong resident of Philadelphia, she was a member of East Philadelphia Baptist Church.
She was a retired employee of Wells-Lamont Glove Manufacturer.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Kennedy, Alpharetta, GA, and Jeff Kennedy, Jackson; a sister, Jean Logan, Carthage; a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
Pallbearers were Mark McKay, Eddie Clark, Eugene McCrory, Mike Lohman, Jeff Lohman and Lance Lipman.

Walter P. Smith
Walter Presley Smith, 98, a retired school teacher, died March 28, 2005 at Leake Memorial Extended Care Facility.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Hope Baptist Church cemetery with Bro. Jerry Germany and Bro. Bobby Barfoot officiating.
Wilcox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
A native of Leake County, he taught school for many years.
He was a member of Pine Grove Church of God of Edinburg and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Survivors include a daughter, Pequita Denson, Starkville.
Pallbearers were James E. Smith, Jr., James E. Smith, III, Craig E. Denson, Lee Coates, Jimmy Moore and Tommy Warren.

Zelma Stephens
Mrs. Zelma L. Stephens, 85, of Carthage, died March 22, 2005 at Leake Memorial Hospital.
She was a retired seamstress.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. March 25 at Welch Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Oktibbeha Memorial Park.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Joyce Nix, Seneca, S.C., and Sarah Elizabeth Adcock, Brandon; two sons, Joseph Andrew Stephens, Lawton, OK, and James Richard Stephens, Cordova, TN; three sisters, Christine Hester, Carthage, Clara Barteel Crumpton, Memphis, TN, and Betty Case, Tickfaw, LA; and two brothers, Edward Amerson, Burnsville, and Doyle Amerson, Hammond, LA.
