Vivian Hope Morton
Vivian Hope Morton, 68, a retired Carthage store clerk, died Sunday, October 24, 2004 at Hospice in His Hands in Madden.
Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Milton Koon and Rev. Randolph Scott officiating.
Burial was in Reformation cemetery.
A native Leake countian, she was a member of Singleton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Kendell Morton, Carthage; and three sisters, Carolyn Cullins, Margie McKinney, and Janette Ingram, all of Carthage.
Pallbearers were Tony Savell, David Savell, Keith Cockroft, Ty Johnston, Ike Harrell and David Chamblee.
JIMMIE ODOM
Mr. Jimmie Lynn Odom, 69, died Friday, March 10, 2006, in Gulfport.
Mr. Odom was a member of Juniper Grove Baptist Church and a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Jean Odom and his parents, Roland and Verdee Bazor Odom.
He was a beloved father and brother and is survived by six daughters, Lajaunia Smith of Poplarville, Evelyn Phillips of Laurel, Lynn Rogers, Tammy Johnston, Beckey Stewart of Necaise Crossing and Kim Gillett of Biloxi, and Billy Kendrick of Memphis; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Four brothers, Lavelle Odom, Wendell Odom, and Gary Odom of Poplarville and Donnie Odom of Picayune; two sisters, Wynell Felber of Poplarville, and Renee
Basoco of Ocean Springs.
Visitation will be Monday, March 13, 2006 from 10 until 11 A.M. at Crane Creek Baptist Church with services at 11:00 A.M. and burial to follow in the Crane Creek cemetery. McDonald Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements

Evelyn Newkirk
Services for Evelyn Joyce Newkirk, 63, who died June 19, 2006 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital, were held June 24 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles R. Thomas. Burial followed in the Catahoula cemetery.
A retired home health nurse, she was a member of Little Providence Baptist, the owner of Catahoula Daycare Center and Newkirk Construction.
Survivors include her husband, John T. Newkirk of Catahoula; three daughters, Angela Tucker of Detroit, Andrea Newkirk and Janice Jackson of Catahoula; one step-daughter, Sonjia Newkirk of Tuskegee, Ala.; three sons, Thomas Newkirk and Gary Hall of Catahoula and Patrick Hall of Atlanta; four sisters, Edna Oliver of Vallejo, Calif., Ann Barnette of Columbia, Md., Ethel Walthour of Catahoula and Elzie Collins of Gulfport; two brothers, Roger James and George James of Catahoula.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth James, Gloria Jeanie James and Hattie James of Catahoula; three brothers, Author James, Freddie James and Henry James Jr. of Catahoula.
SABRINA FOUCHA
Sabrina Poyadou Foucha, 45 of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away on June 9, 2006 in New Mexico, she was a lifelong resident of Bay St. Louis, MS.
She is preceded in death by her Father, Rober Charles Poyadou. She is survived by her sons, Dylan Miles of Bay St. Louis, John Mark Foucha, of Bay St. Louis and Christopher Charles Johnson, of Bay St. Louis, MS; her Mother, Norma Necaise of Waveland, MS; her brother, Robert Charles Poyadou, II of Kiln, MS; her sister, Vicki Poyadou, of Bay St. Louis, MS.
A private graveside service was held at St. Mary’s cemetery in Bay St. Louis, MS.

Glenn Joseph Young, 53, of Diamondhead, MS passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 in Bay St. Louis, MS. He was born
in New Orleans, LA and has been a resident of Hancock County for the past year and a half. He was of the Catholic Faith.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Allen Young.
He is survived by his parents, John "Jack" and Denise Young of Diamondhead, MS; two brothers, Wayne Young of Diamondhead, MS, John M. Young, Jr. of Arabi, LA; sister, Sheila Battaglia of Chalmette, LA; 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and 2 graet nieces.
A Graveside service will be held on Monday, June 26, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Cypress Grove cemetery in New Orleans, LA.

Henry Clay Self, Jr. 54 of Slidell, LA passed away on June 19, 2006 in Slidell, LA. He was a resident of Slidell, LA for the past 22 years, and was of Baptist Faith. He was a former Maintenance Department Employee of Wal-Mart.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Henry Clay Self, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Liz Self of Slidell, LA; 2 sons, Ryan Self of Greenwood, MS and Gary Armond Jr. and wife, Michelle of Slidell, LA.; 4 daughters, Lindsie Self of Greenwood, MS, Angel Orgeron of Panama City, FL, Donna Smith and husband, Edward of Slidell, LA, Meme Self of Slidell, LA; his Mother, Mamie D. Self of Lexington, MS; 1 brother, Johnny Lee Self of Senatobia, MS; 2 sisters, Linda Ann Greenwood of Noxapater, MS and Patricia Weeks of Lexington, MS; 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alfred Francis Pepperman, 77, of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away on Friday, June 16, 2006 in Bay St. Louis, MS. He was born
in New Orleans, LA and has been living in Bay St. Louis for the past 25 years. He was a Navy Veteran Serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a C.P.A. and also served as a Professor at Xavier University.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Josephine Kruebbe Pepperman.
He is survived by his son, David Pepperman and his wife, Beth of Memphis, TN; his daughter, Diane Calcote of Franklin, TN; and his 7 grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held on Friday, June 23, 2006 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Covington, LA.

Terry Lee Smith, 16 weeks old, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2006 in Picayune, MS. He was of the Pentecostal Faith.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Murphy.
He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Kellie Murphy Smith of Bay St. Louis, MS; brothers, Joseph Michael Smith, his, twin, Jerry Wayne Smith both of Bay St. Louis, MS; grandparents, Billie Ruth and Jacob Smith of Wilma, AL, and Veronica Webb of Picayune, MS; great-grandparents, Helen and Ronald Preston of Bay St. Louis, MS, AND Ruby Williamson of Picayune, MS.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS. Interment followed in Gulf Coast Memorial cemetery and Mausoleum.

HANS BINNINGER
Hans Jurgen Binninger 55, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at his residence.
He was born
April 2, 1951, in Freiburg, Germany, the oldest son of Helen Zieman Binninger and the late Bodo Binninger Sr.
Hans started his culinary career at the tender age of 14 leading him to work in fine dining establishments all over the world. When he moved to Myrtle Beach 30 years ago, he became one of the first chefs at the Myrtle Beach Hilton. A love of the sea and a sailor at heart led him to excel as a chef with the Cunard Cruise Lines as well as other private yachts. Making Myrtle Beach his home, he helped establish and build the family owned business, Bodo’s German Restaurant where great memories were made and where he’ll be greatly missed. He loved sailing, photography and had a special place in his heart for all animals.
He leaves behind a large loving family including his mother, Helen Binninger of Myrtle Beach, a brother, Axel Binninger of Charleston, SC, a sister, Sylvia Roberts and brother in law, Mike of Villa Hills, KY, a brother, Jerry Binninger of Diamondhead, MS, sisters, Bobbsy Binninger and Patti Gregory of Myrtle Beach, a brother, Bodo Binninger Jr., of Myrtle Beach, several nieces including Ashley Binninger of Myrtle Beach, Katie, Amy and Mary Roberts of Villa Hills, KY, Allison Binninger of Diamondhead, MS, Jessica Gregory of Myrtle Beach, longtime friend and companion, Dale Venable, and two loyal dogs and four loving cats. He also leaves behind several close friends in Myrtle Beach, relatives still in Cincinnati and in Germany.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 31, 2006, at Bodo’s German Restaurant in Myrtle Beach.

Services for Raymond "R.D." Garriga, 64, who died July 8, 2006 in Slidell, La., will be held July 13 at 2 p.m. in the St. Matthews Catholic Church with Father Noel Fannon officiating.
A native of Hancock County, he was a contractor and a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Mitchell of Picayune, Tina Necaise of Pass Christian and Louise Garriga of Pass Christian; one son, Danny Seal of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Jeanette Shaw of Gulfport, Mildred Pavolini of Pass Christian, Mary Ellen Cuevas of Kiln and Kathleen Stiglet of Pass Christian; five brothers, Ernest Garriga of Picayune, Ellis Garriga of Pass Christian, Bill Garriga of Jackson, Louis Garriga of Bridge City, Texas and Franklin Garriga of Pass Christian; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
There will be no visitation.

Joseph (Capt. Budweiser) Lightell III
Joseph (Capt. Budweiser) Lightell III, 57, a shrimper and fisherman, died June 16, 2006. He was a beloved father to Dawn Scones, Jo-Lynn Lightell and Akai Lightell; brother of Beverly Ann Hale; brother-in-law of Robert J. Hale Sr.; son of the late Joseph and Loretta Lightell; grandfather of Mercede Lightell, Alyssa Scones and Danika Scones.
A native of New Orleans and a resident of Gretna, La. for the past 35 years, he was a U.S. Marine that served a tour of duty in Vietnam.
A service was held in Harvey, La. Burial followed at Westlawn Memorial Park cemetery in Gretna, La.
CARL LADNER
Carl Lawrence Ladner, 63, of Pass Christian, MS passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 in Gulfport, MS. He was born
in Gulfport, MS and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. He was of the Catholic Faith. Carl loved gardening and taking care of his yard.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jean Ladner; and his parents, Elmer and Agnelia Ladner; and brother, Leland Ladner.
He is survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Brenda Nelson of Kiln, MS, and numerous cousins.
The visitation is on Saturday, July 8, 2006 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS. A Prayer Service will be at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Wolf River cemetery in Pass Christian, MS.
