Randy Ladner

NEW YORK, NY - Mr. Randy Lee Ladner, 45 of New York, NY died Thurs., June 4, 2009 after a brief battle with cancer.

His father, J. D. Ladner, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Greta and John Brent of Lumberton; one brother, Ronny Jay (Sara) Ladner of Shreveport; and a nephew, Randon Ladner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.

Terri Ann Yeager Fairley

GULFPORT – Terri Ann Yeager Fairley, age 41, of Gulfport passed away on June 1, 2009, in Gulfport.

Ms. Fairley dedicated her life to her children and helping others and she loved her family. She graduated from Stone High School and attended Perkinston Campus of MS Gulf Coast Community College for two years.

Ms. Fairley was preceded in death by her father, Herman E. Yeager, Jr.

She is survived by her mother, Sandra L. Yeager; her sons, Justin N. Fairley, and Robert Austin Fairley; her sister, Elizabeth J. Hubbard and husband Phil, Sr. and her children, Natasha Medley, Amanda Medley, and Hope Medley; her brothers, Bruce Yeager and Martin Yeager and long time companion Kenneth Breaux from Texas; and close friends, Brandy Shea and Phillip E. Hubbard.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2009, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. On Saturday, June 6, 2009, a procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. for a graveside service at First Free Church of God cemetery at 9 a.m.

Joy Hull Bodet

MADISON - Mrs. Joy Hull Bodet, 68, retired senior bank teller, died Tuesday, June 9, 1998, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A Mass of the Resurrection was recited Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father James O'Riordan officiating. Interment followed at Cedar Hill cemetery. Fisher-Riles Funeral Home of Vicksburg handled the arrangements.

A native of Vicksburg, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Cody Hull Sr. and Laura Annis Oakes Hull Walls. She moved to Madison in 1974. In 1993, she retired from Trustmark National Bank after more than 30 years of service.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Edna Mae Hull Smith, and a brother, Don Raymond Hull. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Madison.

Pallbearers were Bruce Rose, Bill McHie, Michael Davis, Chris Smith, Don Pittman and Billy Bell.

Survivors include her daughter, Aprille Joi Rose of Memphis, Tenn., and husband, Bill; sisters, Grace Saar of Dallas, Texas, and husband, Joe, and Betty June Davis of Vicksburg and husband, Voice; brothers, Burgell Hull of Ft. Worth, Texas, and wife, Lilly, and Sherman Cody Hull Jr. of Vicksburg and wife, Ollie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities, P.O. Box 2248, Jackson, MS 39225-2248.

Robert "Bob" Campbell

SHARON -- Robert "Bob" Campbell, 66, a truck driver, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, of heart failure at his home in Sharon.

Services were held Saturday at Nowell-Flippin Funeral Home chapel in Canton with interment in Canton City cemetery.

A Dunkirk, N.Y., native, Mr. Campbell moved to Canton in 1978 from Picayune. He had been a truck driver most of his adult life, being employed by Cardox for about 10 years. In the last few months, he had started R.A.C. Escort Services of Sharon. He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Sharon United Methodist Church. Those who knew him said he loved to ride his motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife, Ouida Campbell of Sharon; sons, Bruce Durham of Abita Spring, La., Billy R. Campbell of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Bobby W. Campbell of Kingsport, Tenn.; daughter, Linda Kellor, Glinda Kellar, Brinda Kellar and Cindy Futch, all of Picayune, and Vicke Levingston of Sugarland, Texas; brother, David Campbell of Shreveport, La.; sisters, Dawn Viodata of Hattiesburg, Mary Scime of Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Gail Cain and Arna Emser, both of Appoka, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Helen C. Thompson Bolton

JACKSON -- Helen C. Thompson Bolton, 79, a former Greenwood city clerk, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, of hypertensive heart disease at her home in Jackson.

Services were held Friday at St. Philips Episcopal Church in Jackson with Father Tom Slawson officiating and interment in Oakwood cemetery in Winona. Mark E. Seepe Funeral Home of Jackson handled arrangements.

A West Point native, Mrs. Bolton was a longtime Greenwood resident, where she was a very active participant in community and civic events. She was a longtime city clerk for Greenwood and was an active communicant of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity there.

A resident of Jackson, she was an active communicant of St. Philip's Episcopal, where she participated in the church choir.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Wilson of Canton and Dixie Holland of Raymond; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to Duncan M. Gray Episcopal Camp and Conference Center, 1530 Way Road, Canton, MS 39046; or Catholic Charities, P.O. Box 2248, Jackson, MS 39225-2248.

Emma C. Johnson

RIDGELAND -- Emma C. Johnson, 83, a retired sales clerk, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, of cancer at Whispering Pines Hospice in Ridgeland.

Services were held Feb. 29 at Breeland Funeral Home Chapel in Canton with interment in Canton cemetery.

A Rankin County native, Mrs. Johnson had lived most of her life in Canton before moving to The Home Place more than a year ago. She was a retired sales clerk for Nelson's Department Store and Smart Shoes. She was a member of Center Terrace Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Peggy Jones of Tupelo, Shirley Barnes of Jacksonville, Fla., Carolyn Norman of Farmhaven and Sandra Bentley of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister, Laura Collum of Jackson; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Gracie Allen Hunter

Gracie Allen Hunter passed away July 21, 2016 from complications from a long illness.

born October 4, 1939, Gracie was the daughter of the late Claudia and Jim Sullivan of Senatobia. She spent the majority of her life in the Senatobia/Looxahoma area.

She retired from Alumax Extrusions where she was a shipping supervisor. She loved nature and science fiction.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene Hunter, her son Ricky, her great grandson, Landon Swanson, her brothers, Maurice and Frank Sullivan, and her son-in-law, Thomas Thornton.

She is survived by her daughter, Debby Thornton, her son, Sam Hunter (Matt), grandson, Jeremy Hunter (Ashley), granddaughters, Kristi Iglinsky (Colin) and Chelsea Shaw (Robert), and hers siblings, James Sullivan, Barry Sullivan, Florence Mabry, Doxie Brewer and Lou born. She has three great granddaughters, one great grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

The family received guests at the home of Doxie Brewer on Sunday, July 24.

Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia had charge of the arrangements.

Everett L. Redd

Everett L. Redd, 71, of Sarah, MS passed away July 18, 2016.

He was a Vietnam veteran having served in the Air Force and retired from Entergy after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth H. Redd of Sarah; daughters, Amber Redd of Sarah, and Brooke Sosebee (Nick) of Senatobia; sons, Alan Pennington of Memphis, Tenn., Matt Robertson of Batesville, and Everett Robertson (Beth) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister, Bonnie Kee of Sarah; brothers, Jimmy Red (Sandra) of Horn Lake, Jerry Red (Mary Jo) of Batesville, Alan Red (Tammy) of Sarah, and Jeff Red (Roseann) of Sarah; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Bernice Red.

He was a member of Crockett Church of Christ. Memorials may be sent to the Sardis Lake Christian Camp.

Services were held Thursday, July 21, at 10:00 a.m. at Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia. Burial followed in Forrest Memorial Park cemetery in Batesville.

Lula Mae Campbell Taylor

Lula Mae Campbell Taylor, 85, of Como, passed away July 15, 2016 at her residence.

She is survived by her daughters, Ruby Jean Dandridge and Gail Carter; sons, Clarence Taylor, Jr., Herbert James Taylor, Paul Taylor and Billy Taylor; sister, Lillie Edmond; 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, July 23, at 12:00 p.m. at Cedar Grove M.B. Church in Sardis, where she was a member. Burial followed in Cedar Grove cemetery.

Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia had charge of the arrangements.

Mattie B. Wilbourn

Mattie B. Wilbourn, 79, of Horn Lake, MS passed away July 13, 2016 at her residence.

She is survived by her daughters, Annette Jones Ware of Horn Lake, and Willia Mae borner of Looxahoma; sisters, Lula Irving of Senatobia, and Alice Wilbourn of Southaven; grandchildren, Pastor Keeyon Jones, Nicholas Jones and Alex Jones; and great grandchildren, Wasir Jones and Te’nya Jones.

Services were held Saturday, July 23, at 1:00 p.m. at Antioch M.B. Church, Walls, where she was a member. Burial followed in Senatobia Memorial cemetery.

Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia had charge of the arrangements.

Florida Ode Walton

FLORA -- Florida Ode Walton, 70, a retired CNA, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, of respiratory failure at her home in Flora.

Services were held March 2 at Nowell-Flippin Funeral Home in Ridgeland with interment in Flora City cemetery.

A Sunflower County native, Mrs. Walton was a lifetime Flora resident. She was a retired certified nursing assistant from the Canton Nursing Home and a member of Oil City Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, William Elon Walton.

Survivors include her husband, Swayze Robert Walton Sr. of Flora; sons, Robert Lee Walton of Puckett, Swayze Robert Walton Jr. of Pearl, James Walton of Flora and Thomas Richard Walton of Pelahatchie; daughters, Clara Odel Anders of Natchez, Barbara J. Edwards of Flora, Peggy J. Ferguson of Forest, Rebecca A. Gaines of Bolton and Sandra Rasberry of Clinton; sister, Georgia Mae Hamilton of Richland; 36 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

John F. Hosler

John Frederick Hosler of Gwinn, Mich., 78, a scientist and chemist, died Friday, June 12, 1998, from cancer at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

A Memorial Eucharist was held Saturday at the Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church in Madison. The service was officiated by Reverends John Sewell and David Christian. Mark E. Seepe Funeral Directors & Crematorium of Jackson was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hosler was born icon in Berwick, Penn. on April 13, 1920. He attended Penn State University, where he received a B.S. degree in chemistry and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in organic chemistry. In 1983, he received the Scientific Achievement Award from American Cyanamid. He was a member of the American Chemical Society, and he had been awarded numerous patents for his work. In 1952, Mr. Hosler was working as Director of Formica Products Research Division when he conceived and developed a new system which significantly improved the resistance of decorative laminates to deterioration.

Mr. Hosler retired with his Wife, Ellen, in 1975 to Michigan's upper peninsula. There he served as president of the Gwinn United Methodist Church. He also served as president and member of the Little Shag Lake Association. He was active in environmental and conservation efforts in northern Michigan.

Mr. Hosler was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen.

Survivors include his daughter, Lynda Klug of Amery, Wis.; sons Jeffrey Logan Hosler of Milwauke, Wis. and Johnathan Hosler o fMadison; daughter-in-law, Susan Andrews; Matthew and Daniel Hosler and five other grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Cancer Research, University of Mississippi Medical Center, 2500 North State St., Jackson, MS 39216, or Adolescent Christian Education at Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 1848, Madison, MS 39130.

Margie Martin

CANTON - Margie Martin, 76, died Friday, June 12, 1998, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

Services were held Monday from the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home in Philadelphia with interment in Longino cemetery.

A native of Neshoba County, Mrs. Martin had lived in Canton for the past several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claudie Martin, in 1979 and a daughter, Sherlon Stubblefield, in 1978.

Pallbearers were Scott Martin, Steve Martin, Shan Martin, Vince Martin, Rodney Martin, Keith Hancock, Timothy Stubblefield and Marlon Copeland.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Martin of Florence and Don Martin of Canton; sister, Marie Hancock of Philadelphia; brother, Gerald Copeland of Clinton; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
