ODESSA, Texas - Graveside services for John Cooper Gillen, 63, of Odessa, who died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Steve Trout officiating.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home.
Mr. Gillen was born
Oct. 31, 1939, in Natchez.
He was a member of the National Guard from 1958 to 1964, moved to Odessa in 1975 and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Gillen was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Christopher Gillen.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Gillen; three sons, John C. Gillen Jr. and Richard A. Gillen, both of Odessa, and Charles E. Gillen of Houston; and one daughter, Deborah K. Gillen of Odessa.

FAYETTE - Services for Annie Bell Good-McDonald, 83, of Fayette, who died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Crown Point United Methodist Church with the Rev. John L. Quinn officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. McDonald was born
April 8, 1919, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Ed Good and Floranna Bearden.
She was a member of Crown Point United Methodist Church.
Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her husband, Willie McDonald; her parents; three children; three brothers; two sisters; and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include four daughters, Joyce Reed and her husband, Nathaniel, Inez Nix, Rosie Lee McDonald and Cora Mae Malone, all of Fayette; two sons, James McDonald and his wife, Caroyln, and Edward McDonald and his wife, Georgia, all of Fayette; 24 grandchilden; a number of great-grandchildren; sister, Carine Owens of Fayette; one brother, Eddie Good of Port Gibson; one godchild, Emma Jean Mobley and her husband, Levi, both of Fayette; one daughter-in-law, Viola McDonald of Meadville; five sisters-in-law, Clara Mae Dunbar and Mable McDonald, both of Fayette, Altha Strashner of Chicago, Modiest Page of Yazoo City and Ruby Devaul of Pattison; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Julia Cage

NATCHEZ - Services for Julia Cage, 83, of Natchez, who died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pry's Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. James Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in Leesdale cemetery under the direction of West Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until funeral time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Cage was a member of Pry's Temple Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Cage Sr.; one son, Robert James Cage; and one daughter, Anita Johnson.
Survivors include four sons, Johnny Cage and Charlie Cage Jr., both of Natchez, and Vernon Lewis and Sargent A. Brooks, both of Mukegon, Mich.; three daughters, Ola Tenner of Natchez, Lillie M. Ross of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Juanita Dody of Washington; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Rudy Fort, Frank Conner, Lee Dixon, Don Ford and other friends.
James Walter McCrea

PENSACOLA, Fla. - Memorial services for James Walter McCrea, 83, of Pensacola, who died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Perdido Bay United Methodist Church under the direction of Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
Mr. McCrea was born
June 23, 1919, in Natchez, the son of James G. and Lenny Voos McCrea.
He graduated from Auburn University in 1941 with a degree in aeronautical engineering. He then worked as a research and development engineer for Curtis-Wright Corp. of Woodbridge, N.J., and was a pioneer in the development of reciprocating and ram jet engines. From 1967 to 1982, he as a marketing engineer for Bell Aerospace/Textron in Buffalo, N.Y., and Los Angeles. He attended Perdido Bay United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Fitch McCrea; one daughter, Pamela L. Rogers and her husband, Charles, both of Gulf Breeze; two sons, James S. McCrea and his wife, Mary Ellen, both of Annapolis, Md., and Peter C. McCrea and his wife, Ellen, both of Hickory, N.C.; eight grandchildren, James R. McCrea of Easton, Md., R.C. Jason McCrea and William T. McCrea, both of Annapolis, Charles R. Rogers IV and Brandon C. Rogers, both of Atlanta, and Clay McCrea, Kate McCrea and Claire McCrea, all of Hickory, N.C.; and one great-granddaughter, Bailey Lane Rogers of Atlanta.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Perdido Bay United Methodist Church, 13660 Innerarity Point Road, Pensacola, FL 32507, or to Covenant Hospice, 2001 North Palafox Street, Pensacola, FL 32501.
Charles E. Gibson

NATCHEZ - Services for Charles E. Gibson, 72, of Natchez, who died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at Natchez Regional Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Zawacki officiating.
Burial will follow in the Natchez City cemetery under the direction of West Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 1 to 4 p.m. today and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the church, with a rosary service at 7:30.
Mr. Gibson was born
Oct. 9, 1930, in Adams County, the son of Annie Robinson and Rufus Gibson.
He was a dispatcher with Wilson & Gilbert Pharmacy, owner of Gibson's Demolition Service, a retired Adams County sheriff's deputy and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Mississippi Deputy Sheriffs Association, the National Sheriffs Association and the Mississippi Sheriffs Boys and Girls Ranch.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Gregory P. Gibson; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley R. Gibson; one son, Barry Gibson and his wife, Katherine; one daughter, Debra Thomas and her husband, Larry; three brothers, Rufus Gibson, James Gibson and his wife, Freddie Mae, and Leroy Gibson, all of Natchez; three sisters, Mary Williams and Rosie Lee "Mamie" Gibson, both of Natchez, and Dorothy Campbell of Valley Park, Mo.; one daughter-in-law, Karen Gibson; eight grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Adams County Sheriff's Office personnel.
Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Gibson, Larry Thomas, Rufus Gibson, James Gibson, Leroy Gibson and grandsons.

A wake will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until funeral time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Jackson was born
Aug. 30, 1924 in Adams County, the son of Henry and Pearl Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles Edward Jackson; one daughter, Carrie Ann
Fleming; and two sisters, Pearl Jackson and Viola Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha McNeil Jackson; four sons, Harvey Jackson of Chicago and Billy Joe "Peter" Jackson, David Jackson and Johnny Jackson, all of Natchez; seven daughters, Jessica Ford and Juanita Hood and her husband, Melvin, all of Chicago, Pearl Sentel of Saginaw, Mich., Jean Sullivan and her husband, Isaac, both of Pine Bluff, Ark., and La Stephanie Lorraine Jackson, Brenda Jackson, Thelma "Gail" Denham and her husband Thomas, all of Dallas; 45 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Jackson and his wife, Annie, both of Woodville, and Donald Ray Jackson and his wife, Susan, both of Pascola, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Trask of New Orleans and Martha Williams of Baton Rouge; and a number of other relatives.
Juanita Tunstall
Juanita Tunstall, 80, of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Winborn, died Jan. 22, 2006. She was the widow of Flenard Tunstall Sr. She began working in domestics and later for a janitorial company that serviced the Penobscot Building in Downtown Detroit. She was elected union steward and served in that position for 13 years.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 27 at James H. Cole Funeral Home in Detroit, Mich. Burial was in Grand Lawn cemetery, Detroit, Mich. Bishop Samuel Wilson officiated.
She leaves two sons, Robert Tunstall and Flenard Tunstall Jr.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Shirley Jean Bennett
Shirley Jean Bennett, 64, of Byhalia, died April 16, 2006.
Services were held at 2 p.m. at Victoria Baptist Church.
She leaves a daughter, Mary Sipes; a son, Anthony Bennett; two sisters, Bobbie Sciara, Mary Campbell; a brother, J.C. Mullen; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Shelia Diann Elmore
Shelia Diann Elmore, 53, of Waterford, died April 26, 2006 at Union County Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Jimmie Lynn Elmore. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a nurse’s assistant at Trinity Missions Health and Rehab.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on April 29 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Hill Crest cemetery. Bro. Harvey Scott delivered the sermon. Bro. Larry Dukes, obituary.
She leaves her daughter, Vickie Smithey of Flowood; her parents, Sam and Eula Mae Jordan of Ripley; and two sisters, Connie Mae Alberson of Ashland, Rhonda Rinehart of Picwick.
Pallbearers were Adam Robinson, Ben Robinson, Jordan Rinehart, Ken Hartfield, Davie Newman and Benny Harrell. Honorary pallbearers were members of Calvary Baptist Church.
Jeanne Johnson Harris
Jeanne Johnson Harris, 81, of Red Banks and Oxford, died April 28, 2006 at Graceland Care Center of Oxford. She was the widow of Tracy Linwood Harris. She was a former postmaster of Red Banks and an artist. She was a former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Holly Springs Women’s Club.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 2 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Oxford, where she was a member. Burial was in Red Banks cemetery. Rev. Taylor Moore officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves three daughters, Rixie Rose of Red Banks, Amanda Rogers of Bossier City, La, Jenny Hunsicker of Oxford; a son, Tracy Harris of Parker, Colo.; three sisters, Geraldine Gholson of Holly Springs, Clara Hampton Polk of Newport News, Va., Catherine Bailey of Arlington, Va; a brother, Richard Johnson of Lynchburg, Va.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruth Ann Harris, and her sister, Patricia Brockman.

Lovie Lee Hughes
Lovie Lee Hughes, 50, of New Albany, died April 27, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany. She was employed at Graceland Care Center in New Albany.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on May 3 at Pine Bluff Myrtle Baptist Church. Burial was in Gerizum cemetery in Myrtle. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves three children, Yolanda Rucker, Marcus Rucker and Elliott Collins, all of New Albany; three sisters, Mary Louise Thirsty of Racine, Wisc., Pearley Collins of New Albany, Shelia Mosley of Jackson, Tenn.; two brothers, Jessie James Hughes Jr. of Holly Springs and Jeffrey Collins of Jackson, Tenn.; six grandchildren, three godchildren and her special companion Curtis Lipsey Jr.
