NATCHEZ - Services for Bernice Mae Barksdale Germany, 95, of Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Bohde officiating.
Burial will follow at the Jersey Settlers cemetery in Kingston under the direction of the funeral home.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Germany was born
May 23, 1907, in Hazlehurst, the daughter of Henry D. and Bertha McKinney Barksdale.
She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Otis K. Germany Sr.; one daughter; two grandchildren; and two brothers.
Survivors include two sons, Otis K. Germany Jr. of Natchez, and Guy Germany of Spring Hill, Fla.; two daughters, Jimmie Mae Gerald of Natchez and Sarah Ann Free of Hattiesburg; 16 grandchildren; and number of great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

FAYETTE - Services for Percy Snyder, 81, of Fayette, who died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at noon Saturday at Rose Hill No. 1 Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Colenburg officiating.
Burial will follow in Hickory Block cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Snyder was born
Aug. 12, 1921, in Jefferson County, the son of Peter Snyder and Claretta Coleman.
He was a member of Rose Hill No. 1 Baptist Church of Fayette, a self-employed logger, former owner of the Hide Away Inn in Fayette and a retired deckhand with the United States Sinking Unit.
Mr. Snyder was preceded in death by his wife, Izora Vessel Snyder; his parents; one daughter, Ruby Lee Snyder; one brother, Curtis Snyder; and one sister, Helen Thomas.
Survivors include one daughter, Annie Ruth Stander of Fayette; three grandsons, Jerry L. Stander and his wife, Emma, both of Fayette, Jimmy Earl Stander and his wife, Loretta, both of Roxie, and Percy Dywon Stander and his wife, Lakeitha, both of Killeen, Texas; three granddaughters, Sandra D. Perry and her husband, David, both of Fayette, Izora Camille Gales and her husband, Vernon, both of Killeen, and Mary Ann Pierce and her husband, Carl, both of Fayette; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

FAYETTE - Services for Annie McGlory-Coleman, 69, of Fayette, who died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Fountain Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. John Quinn officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.
Visitation is from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Coleman was born
Dec. 6, 1933, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Floranna Riggs and Walter McGlory.
She was a member of Fountain Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her parents, one son and two daughters.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Coleman; one daughter, Claudette Hunter of Fayette; one son, David Hunter of New Orleans; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one aunt, Emma Riggs of Fayette; a number of cousins, other relatives and friends, including Ann Jackson, Tasha Culbert, Toria Culbert and Joe Harried Jr., all of Fayette; one godson, D.J. Clark; and three caretakers, Resea Culbert, Evelyen Fells and Barbra Hall.
Pallbearers will be Arnold King, Joseph King, Robert Wells, Tony Fleming, Keith King and Joe Harried Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be David McGlory, Guy E. Hunter, Gregory Sampson and Steven Hunter.
James Terrell Smitherman

NATCHEZ - Services for James Terrell Smitherman, 50, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dayna Goff officiating.
Mr. Smitherman was born
Jan. 9, 1953, in Panama City, Fla., the son of James Willard and Elizabeth Raines Smitherman.
He received a master's degree in music from Louisiana State University and was a musician, composer and arranger. He served as music director for Grace United Methodist Church and Assumption Catholic Church.
Mr. Smitherman was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one son, Joshua J. Smitherman of South Carolina; one brother, Mark Smitherman, and his wife, Dixie, both of Natchez; one sister, Peggy Merchant, and her husband, Paul, both of Kaufman, Texas; one uncle, H. T. Smitherman of Vidalia, La.; one nephew; three nieces; and a number of cousins and other relatives.
The family requests memorials be made to Grace United Methodist Church.

Ms. Wilson was born
Oct. 8, 1933, in Pattison, the daughter of Robert Wilson and Lizzie Grisby.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Elmo Christian Church.
Ms. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include seven sons, Clarence Wilson, Henry Wilson, Melvin Wilson, Charlie Wilson, Willie Wilson and Woodrow Wilson, all of Hermanville, and Robert Anderson of Port Gibson; four daughters, Sarah Wilson, Jennie Wilson and Doris Wilson, all of Hermanville, and Thelma Odom of Harvey, La.; 30 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillie B. Haywood of Pattison; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Johnnie Lee Longmire

NATCHEZ - Services for Johnnie Lee Longmire, 76, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Daughters of Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. D.W. Howard officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Ms. Longmire was born
April 4, 1926, in Crosby, the daughter of Johnny and Leslie Longmire.
She was retired from domestic engineering and was a Baptist.
Mrs. Longmire was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Barney Longmire; one sister, Willie Mae Longmire; and one great-grandson, Terrance Lamar Carter.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Harris and her husband, James, and JoAnn Johnson and her husband, Earnest, all of Natchez; two brothers, C.B. Longmire and Junior Longmire, both of Crosby; one sister-in-law, Florine Longmire of Port Gibson; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including Marrion Carroll, Green Tillman, Janie Hardin, Kathleen Dawson, Naomi Carroll, Carrie Howard, Jeanie Ruth Sarfas and nephew, John Longmire.
Pallbearers will be Otis Hawkins, John Hawkins, Johnny Hidgeon, Johnny Longmire, Ralph Wright and John Longmire.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Green, Ernest Carroll and Johnnie Thompson.
Edna Maie Johnston Ariail
COLUMBIA, S.C. - Graveside services for Edna Maie Johnston Ariail, 81, of Columbia, who died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, will be at 11 a.m. today at Elmwood cemetery under the direction of Shives Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ariail was born
in Woodville, the daughter of James Harvey and Lou Brannan Johnston.
She was a resident of Columbia since 1965, a former member of College Place United Methodist Church and a member of Trenholm Road United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Thomas M. Ariail Jr., and his wife, Sherry; three grandsons, Johnston Green Ariail, Matthew Thomas Ariail and Clayton Collier Ariail, all of Chester, Va.; one sister, Anita Powell of Birmingham, Ala.; and one brother, Dr. Harvey Johnston of Jackson.
