NATCHEZ - Services for Frank McQuarters, 70, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating.
Burial will be at Pine Hill Memorial cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday.
Mr. McQuarters was born
Sept. 10, 1932, in Woodville, the son of Frank and Sally McQuarters. He is a graduate of St. Francis High School and worked until his retirement in 1987 at Armstrong Tire and Rubber Co. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Isabelle White McQuarters; his parents; four brothers, James, Wilford, Leonard and Earl McQuarters; and two sisters, Birtena Ransom and Edna Fitzgerald.
Survivors include five sons, Clarence McQuarters, Alexander McQuarters and wife Janice, Myron McQuarters and wife Roberta, all of Natchez, Alvin McQuarters and wife Georgia of Euless, Texas, and Timothy McQuarters and wife Debbie of Irving, Texas; four sisters, Eliza Quinn and husband Cicero, Annette Mitchell, Viola Bennett and husband Walter and Estelle Banford and husband Wilson, all of Natchez, one brother, Charles McQuarters and wife Katherine of New Orleans; one uncle, James Tolliver of Monroe, La.; nine grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Oleta Autry Oberlin

NATCHEZ - Services for Oleta Autry Oberlin, 82, who died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, Tenn., will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Natchez City cemetery under the direction of the funeral home.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Oberlin was born
July 17, 1920, in Eldorado, Okla., the daughter of Cleve and Alta (Isbell) Autry.
She owned and operated the Ritz Theater, Natchez Jewelers, Stephens Department Store and Stephens Bridal and Formal Wear with her late husband, Irving Oberlin. She was active in many civic organizations and received awards for her effort and time.
Survivors include three children, Frances Stephens of Waverly, Tenn., Stanley "Rock" Oberlin of Natchez and Sam Oberlin and his wife, Vickie, both of Chattanooga, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Joe Sam Stephens and his wife, Candy, both of Waverly, Courtney Rice and her husband, David, and Ashley V. Oberlin, all of Nashville and Jared I. Oberlin of Plano, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Tobias Rice, Leah Rice and Aaron Rice, all of Nashville.
Pallbearers will be Ken Beasley, Burk Baker, Robert Ewing, Larry Havard, Dempse McMullen and Henry Watts.
Memorials may be made to The Gideons International.
Shirley G. Lizotte

ARLINGTON, Texas - Services for Shirley G. Lizotte, 67, who died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, in Arlington, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Joseph Scantlin officiating.
Burial will follow in Dallas/Fort Worth National cemetery under the direction of Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lizotte was born
Oct. 2, 1935, in Carpenter. She was a certified life underwriter with Mutual of New York and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, First Families of Mississippi and Charter Life Underwriters.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Lizotte, and a number of cousins, nephews and nieces.
Memorials may be made to the Tarrant County Cancer Society.
Janie Lee Diggs Barnes

NATCHEZ - Services for Janie Lee Diggs Barnes, 78, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. today at Second Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Strickland officiating.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Natchez National cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barnes was born
Oct. 4, 1924, in the Anna's Bottom community near Natchez, the daughter of Henry and Hattie Mason Diggs.
She retired as head chef at the Prentiss Motel and was a member of Second Union Baptist Church and its Mother Board.
Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Barnes and his wife, Dorothy, both of Calmet Park, Ill.; two daughters, Lonnie Jones and her husband, Arthur, both of Natchez, and Elayne Bailey Robinson and her husband, Hervin, both of Chicago; two sisters, Lottie Becken of Natchez and Alline Malcolm of Los Angeles; one brother, Henry Diggs of North Carolina; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Authur Jones, Rufus Elmor, Roger Evans, Johnthan Beckon, Jeremy Beckon, Jessie Caston and Willie Reynolds.
Mattie J. Parker
PORT GIBSON - Services for Mattie J. Parker, 92, who died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank McGriggs officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with a family hour at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Ms. Parker was a member of Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church, past president of the senior choir, youth director, and intermediate and adult Sunday school teacher. She also served as secretary of the church and president of the Baptist Training Union, the Deacon Wives Club and the Mother's Board. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include three daughters, Eleanor Chambers of Chicago and and Rose Parker Rozier and Lula Parker Tate, both of Milwaukee; two sons, Mack Parker Jr. of Vicksburg and Malcolm Parker of Chicago; 28 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

PORT GIBSON - Services for Barnie Longmire, 68, who died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Dorsey officiating.

Mrs. Daniels was born
Jan. 1, 1919, in Franklin County, the daughter of Edward Bluitt and Bessie Cloy Arnold.
She was a retired beautician and a member of O'Zion Baptist Church.
Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Daniels; two brothers; three sisters; and one son.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Whittington and Judy Forrest, both of Meadville; three grandchildren, Mike Whittington of Hammond, La., Daniel Forrest of Meadville and Brandi Hancock of Baton Rouge; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Nealy was born
May 4, 1919, in Claiborne County, the daughter of John Frye and Annie Patton-Monroe.
She joined Shady Grove Baptist Church at an early age and later joined New Bethel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Nealy was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one sister; two brothers; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sons-in-law.
Survivors include one son, John Henry Nealy of Fayette; two daughters, Maryzine Reed of Miami and Clara Mae Dunbar of Fayette; one sister, Thelma Hyder of Port Gibson; three sisters-in-law, Lucille Hyder, Bessie Morgan and Della Franklin, all of New Orleans; 12 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Hammette, Carl Hammette, Percy Jackson Jr., Roger Jackson, Owen B. William and Jerry Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael L. Bennett Jr., Willie DeVaul, Tom Dunbar, Dwayne Dortch, Al Jesse Dunbar, Anderson Hyder, David Jackson and Marvin Stacker.
