July 4, 1908 - Dec. 21, 2002

FAYETTE - Services for Beulah Compton Robinson, 94, of Fayette, who died Friday, Dec. 21, 2002, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Jeessamine Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. James Dorsey officiating.

Burial will be at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a family hour from 6 to 7 p.m.

Mrs. Robinson was born icon July 4, 1908, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Coolidge Compton and Ella Dunbar. She was a member of Jessamine Ridge Baptist Church, the Benevolent Society Union and Jessamine Ridge Brothers and Sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include one son and his wife, Leroy and Dorothy Robinson of Lorman; two grandchildren, Inger Frye and Yolanda Walker; three great-grandchildren, Xavier Frye, Emmanuel Frye and Barak Walker; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Mary D'Aquila

April 9, 1915 - Dec. 21, 2002

WOODVILLE - Services for Mary D'Aquila, 87, of Woodville, who died Friday, Dec. 21, 2002, at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville, will be at 2 p.m. today at Woodville Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Bunch officiating.

Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery under the direction of Berryhill Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. today at the church.

Mrs. D'Aquila was born icon April 9, 1915, in Pike County, the daughter of Dwight Smith and Jessica Dunn Smith. She was a retired secretary for Farmers Home Administration and a member of Woodville Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, one great-grandson and by her first husband, Joseph Poindexter Faust.

Survivors include her husband, Sylvester John D'Aquila; three stepsons, Sylvester D'Aquila and wife Clara of Biloxi, Henry D'Aquila and wife Carolyn of Long Beach and Joseph Poindexter Faust Jr. of Woodville; one stepdaughter, Yvonne D'Aquila Dooley and husband Thomas of St. Francisville, La.; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Martha Burns Brown

NATCHEZ - Services for Martha Burns Brown, 78, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, in Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Basilica.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church.

The family requests memorials be made to Trinity Episcopal Field House Fund or St. Mary Basilica.

Young's Funeral Home of Vidalia, La., is in charge of arrangements.

Fred P. Brown

Sept. 20, 1947 - April 2, 2003

NATCHEZ - Services for Fred P. "Jackie Boy" Brown, 55, of Ferriday, La., who died Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at VA Medical Center in Shreveport, La., will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fourth Street Church of Christ with Wendell Greene Sr. officiating.

Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Natchez National cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Brown was born icon Sept. 20, 1947, in Ferriday, the son of Fred D. Brown and Victoria White Brown Barksdale.

He was a retired yard supervisor from International Paper Company, was a member of Church of Christ and was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, receiving the Purple Heart Award and other awards and medals of heroism.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca McKeel Brown of Ferriday; his father, Fred "Jack" Brown of Vidalia; one son, Fredrick M. Brown of Ferriday; three daughters, Tosha Shelton and Shonna Riley Brown, both of Natchez and Zakeedra McKeel of Ferriday; one sister, Carolyn Johnson of Vidalia; one brother, Clarence Brown and his wife, Sandra, both of Pine Bluff, Ark.; five grandchildren, Carolyn Shelton, Antonio Shelton, Kamryn and Kaya Washington, all of Natchez, and ZaMaya McKeel of Ferriday; two nieces, Danessa McCullon of Natchez and Shinira Chevez of Pine Bluff; mother-in-law Jean McKeel of Ferriday; one aunt, Carrie Williams of Vidalia; three sisters-in-law, Audina Martin and Lola McKeel of Monroe, La., and LaWanda Conner of Baton Rouge; two brothers-in-law, Glenn McKeel and William "Bill" McKeel Jr. of Ferriday; and one godchild, Zakeedra Spurs of Ferriday.

Juanita Malone Rucker

May 14, 1921 - March 30, 2003

NATCHEZ - Services for Juanita Malone Rucker, 81, of Natchez, who died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Trace Haven Health and Rehab, will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at St. John United Methodist with the Rev. Godffery Stepney officiating.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Natchez National cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 3 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church. Lizzie Shumaker Temple Lodge No. 1052 will perform their ritual at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Mrs. Rucker was born icon May 14, 1921, in Hartsville, Tenn., the daughter of Lonnie Malone and Sadie Malone. She was a retired educator in the Adams County Public School System, was a self-employed beautician and was a member of Lizzie Shumaker Temple Lodge No. 1052. She was co-founder of the Helping Hands Organizations, director of Helping Hands Day Care Center and was a member of St. John United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Rucker was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings and her husband, Dr. Peter C. Rucker.

Survivors include two daughters, Lillian Williams of Racine, Wis., and Evans Rucker Dickey of Natchez; niece, Willie Mai Edwards of Corinth, Texas; nephew, John Nelson and his wife, Rose, both of Nashville, Tenn.; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends including Curtis Ross, Clara Simpson, Bill January, Gardest January, Josephine Cottingham, Geneva Smith, Charles Seals, Ruby Davis and Ovelle Fisher.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Margie McKeivier

June 28, 1924 - April 2, 2003

NATCHEZ - Services for Margie McKeivier, 78, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, April 2, 2003, in Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Dayna Goff officiating.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. McKeivier was born icon June 28, 1924, in Wisner, La., the daughter of Carroll E. and Marie Peevey Mason.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She co-owned and operated M&M; Grocery with her husband, Ed McKeivier, and was employed with Wal-Mart over the last 15 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda McKeivier Warren of Denver, Colo.; one son, Jimmy McKeivier of Natchez; three grandchildren, Andrea Brown of Natchez, Summer McKeivier of California and Hunter McKeivier of Natchez; four great-grandchildren, James Brown, Parker Brown, Chase Brown and Rebecca Brown; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be James Brown, Parker Brown, Chase Brown, Hunter McKeivier, Larry Scott and Al Strickland.

Leila Diane Strittman

Funeral arrangements for Leila Diane Strittman, 64, of Hamburg, who died Friday, April 4, 2003, at her residence, are incomplete at Laird Funeral Home.

William Thomas Cole

HAZLEHURST - Services for William Thomas Cole, 93, who died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. today at Stringer Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Hazlehurst cemetery under the direction of Stringer Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

He was a veteran of World War II in the Pacific Conflict.

Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Cole, and a grandson, David Hall, MD.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Bobby Hall of Natchez; granddaughter-in-law Christina Hall; and great-grandchildren Holly Hall, Matthew Hall and Emily Hall.

Mary Owens McPipe

Feb. 6, 1934 - March 30, 2003

WOODVILLE - Services for Mary "Estell" Owens McPipe, 69, of Woodville, who died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at his residence, will be at noon Saturday at Evening Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Luther Bonds officiating.

Burial will be in Bell-McPipe Family cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Fayette.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. McPipe was born icon Feb. 6, 1934, in Woodville, the son of Jimmy Owens and Charlotte Newton.

She was retired from Joan of Arc Canning Co. and Fordice Construction, a member and deaconess of Evening Star Baptist Church.

Mrs. McPipe was preceded in death by her husband, James McPipe; her parents; one daughter, Mae Charlotte McPipe Broadway; four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Earnestine McPipe and Gloria Bell and her husband, Willie, all of Woodville; three sons, Johnny Owens and his wife, Estella, both of Kenner, La., Willie McPipe and his wife, Terry, both of Zachary, La., and Lindsey McPipe of Baton Rouge; one brother, Richard Owens of Woodville; three sisters, MoseElla Howard and Emma Sims, both of Centreville, and Letha Owens Newman of San Francisco; 12 grandchildren including Yolanda McPipe, Yvetta Davis Alexander, Jermaine and Johnny McPipe and Anthoneka Davis; 24 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Elmo Thompson Jr., Odell Wyatt Jr., John Wyatt, Johnny Lee Wells, Jessie Smith and Donald Ray Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Owens McPipe, Willie McPipe, Lindsey McPipe, Willie H. Bell, Jermaine McPipe, Delta McPipe and Richard Owens.

Rosie M. Glover

July 21, 1944 - March 31, 2003

NATCHEZ - Services for Rosie M. Glover, 58, of Natchez, who died Monday, March 31, 2003, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Zion Hill No. 1 Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Pickett officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral System.

The procession will leave at 12:30 p.m. Saturday from 712 Morgan Ave.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Ms. Glover was born icon July 21, 1944, in Natchez, the daughter of Elijah Glover and Annie Haywood.

She was a Baptist, a homemaker and her education includes Anchorage High.

Ms. Glover was preceded in death by he parents and one sister, Josie Williams.

Survivors include three daughters, Janice Jackson and her husband, Donald, both of Seattle, Wash., Alfreda "Diane" Glover and Joyce Carter; one stepdaughter, Kimberly Carter; seven grandchildren, Johnathan Glover, Kendrick Glover, Kalla Carter, Jasmine Glover, Cecelia Jackson, Kendra Carter and Donnika Jackson; three sisters, Eliza Green and her husband, Perry, Jessie Auburnot and Callie "Tit Tac" Thompson and her husband, George; one brother, Eli "June" Glover; and one uncle, Johnny Glover.

Pallbearers will be Eli Glover, Robert Newman, Donald Jackson, Perry Green, Wilbert Johnson, Clarence Davis and John Edwards.
