WOODVILLE - Services for James Theo Fortson, 81, of Madison, who died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, in Ridgeland, will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Ed Lundine officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Berryhill Funeral Home of Woodville.
Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. until service time today at the church.
He was a native of Owensboro, Ky., was a retired safety engineer with Texas Gas Transmission Corporation and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in World War II. He was a staff sergeant in the 8th division serving in England and France. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Owensboro, Ky., a graduate of the University of Mississippi and a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
Mr. Fortson was preceded in death by his father, L. T. Fortson and his mother, Jewel Cox Fortson.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Baine Fortson of Madison; two daughers, Susan Fortson York of Madison and Sally Fortson Treppendahl of Woodville; one son-in-law, Adolph Wettlin Treppendahl Jr. of Woodville; two sisters, Kathleen Fortson Tolbert and Sara Fortson Smith, both of Brandon; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Theo York, Adolph Wettlin Treppendahl III, Louis G. Baine Jr., Oscar Dunn Smith, Louis G. Baine III, Robert Burgess, Stephen Seal and James Lea.

NATCHEZ - Services for Pauline H. Wilkinson, 91, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Magnolia House, will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Dayna Goff officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is from noon until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wilkinson was born
Oct. 10, 1911, in Natchez, the daughter of Estus Pinkney and Florence Virginia Wilson Hall.
She was a Natchez native and lived her entire life in Natchez, spending the last two years at Magnolia House Assisted Living Home.
Mrs. Wilkinson was preceded in death by two husbands, Clarence C. Whitam and Charles Earl Wilkinson; one son, Clarence Whitam Jr.; stepson, Charles "Pete" Wilkinson; and three brothers, Horace Hall, Billy Hall and Harry Hall.
Survivors include two sons, Fredrick L. Whitam of Phoenix, Ark., and Kenneth Whitam and his wife, Linda, both of Baton Rouge; daughter-in-law Tillie E. Whitam of Natchez; stepdaughter, Diane Shupe and her husband, Ronnie, both of Tulsa, Okla.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred McNeil of Natchez; and sister-in-law, Juanita Hall of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Cliff Whitam, Neil Whitam and P. J. Maiello and nephews, Charles "Buddy" McNeil, Keith Hall and Glen Hall.

July 12, 1922 - March 3, 2003
WOODVILLE - Services for Larnell Williams Sr., 80, of Woodville, who died Monday, March 3, 2003, at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville, will be at noon Friday at St. Matthews Baptist Church No. 2 with the Rev. Allen Scott officiating.
Burial will be in St. James cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Fayette.
Visitation is from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams was born
July 12, 1922, in Wilkinson County, the son of Henry P. Jolla and Rosa L. Palmer.
He was a clamp truck driver and operator with James Rivers Corporation for 28 years and a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church No. 2 in Woodville. He was on the deacon board and former treasurer of usher board.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Curtis Williams; his parents; his adopted parents, Joe and Lula Williams; six sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include four daughters, Margaret Terry of Baker, La., Marilyn Fort and her husband, Alvin, both of Wilson, La., Flora Perry and Lula Gray and her husband, Harrell, all of Woodville; two sons, Joe Williams and his wife, Betty, both of Baton Rouge, and Lionell Williams Jr. of Woodville; four grandchildren, Kevin Turner and his wife, Delisia, both of New Orleans, Patrick Williams, who he reared as his own, of Woodville, Alisha Russell of Jacksonville, Fla., and Raven Riddles of Zachary, La.; three brothers, Ralph Palmer Sr. of Baton Rouge, Richard Jolla and his wife, Everlene, and Henry Jolla Jr., all of New Orleans; five sisters, Dilsie Jolla and Atlean Sanders and her husband, Vernon, all of Baton Rouge, Celeste Gullage and her husband, James, both of New Orleans, Maggie Wells and her husband, Melvin, both of Gonzales, La., and Naomi Ramsey of Seattle, Wash.; one sister-in-law, Rosa Pate of Weyanoke, La.; one goddaughter, Dorothy Slan and her husband, Arthur, both of Woodville; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Burial will be in Byrds Chapel cemetery in Franklin County under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Burlison was born
July 22, 1920, in Franklin County, the daughter of Claude and Erna Holland Freeman.
She was a member of McNeely Road Church of God.
Mrs. Burlison was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. I. Burlison; three brothers, Earl Freeman, Jim Freeman and Denver Freeman.
Survivors include four daughters, Jean Bonds and her husband, John, Jeanette Jones and her husband, Harvey, Margie Burlison and Angela France and her husband, Kenny, all of Natchez; three sons, Pete Burlison and his wife, Louise, both of Natchez, Cecil Burlison and his wife, Cristy, both of Vidalia, and Keith Burlison and his wife, Sherrie, both of Rockwall, Texas; 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Burdia Runnels of Natchez; and one brother, Marvin Freeman of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be Kirk Richmond, Johnny Bonds, Tony Freeman, Patrick Freeman, Shawn Freeman, Dean Burlison, Josh Burlison and Jessie Burlison.

FAYETTE - Services for Hazel "Bea" Beatrice Tenner, 85, of Natchez, who died Sunday, March 2, 2003, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses with Elder Robert Collier officiating.
Burial will be in the Tenner cemetery under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Tenner was born
Oct. 14, 1917, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Sam White and Rosie Ware.
She became a Jehovah Witness in 1957.
Mrs. Tenner was preceded in death by her husband, Gover Tenner Sr.; her parents; three brothers, Roscoe White, Louis White and Levison White; and one sister, Rebecca Jones.
Survivors include four daughters, Rosie Calcote Layton and her husband, Joe, Janora White, Flora Richardson and her husband, Julian and Nettie Tenner, all of Natchez; five sons, Grover Tenner Jr. and his wife, Norma, Roscoe Tenner and his wife, Dorothy, Horace Tenner and his wife, Shirley, Phillip Tenner and his wife, Dianne and Don Tenner, all of Natchez; one sister, Josephine Curtis; two brothers, Jerry Ware and Roosevelt White; brother-in-law, Anderson Tenner Sr. and his wife, Clara; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Tenner; 29 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Burial will be in Thompson Memorial Garden cemetery in Port Gibson under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Thursday at the church.
He was a member of Greater St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II with the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Nelson was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Kemp Nelson, and two brothers, Abe Nelson and Cecil Patterson.
Survivors include one sister, Esther N. Jones of Port Gibson; three nieces, Patricia Williams of Houston, Texas, Patricia Weathers of Vicksburg and Carlee Bailey of Greenville; a nephew, Robert Owens of Jackson; and a number of other relatives and friends, including Tiffany Council, Patricia Council and Lakitha Council, the Heath Family and the Tarleton Family, all of Port Gibson.
