NATCHEZ - Services for Grace Nunnery Knight, 69, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Bart Walker officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until service time today the funeral home.
Mrs. Knight was born
Jan. 31, 1934, in Liberty, the daughter of Rhesa and Grace Jackson Nunnery.
She was an active member of Parkway Baptist Church.
Survivors include son, Jeff Knight and wife, Betty of Wesson; daughters, Janet K. Gay and husband, Tim and Cathy K. Roboski and husband, Mike, all of Natchez; grandchildren, Jamie Knight, Brady Knight, Michael Roboski, Anna Grace Roboski, Erica Rollins, Jessica G. Brown and John T. Gay, Jr.; sister, Louise Nunnery of Natchez; brother, Alton Nunnery and wife, Violet of Natchez; two nephews, Robert Nunnery of Brandon and Michael Nunnery of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be Mike Roboski, Tim Gay, Robert Nunnery, Michael Nunnery, John Knight, Michael Roboski, Jr., Brady Knight and John T. Gay.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dallas Brown, Brian Picou and members of the Mary-Martha Sunday School Class of Parkway Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
Jonathan Wayne Dooley
BRANDON - Services for Jonathan Wayne Dooley, 2 years old, who died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, at University of Mississippi Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, will be at 10 a.m. today at Brandon United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Brandon Memorial Gardens cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Brandon.
Jonathan attended Brandon First United Methodist Church and was very active in children activities.
Survivors include his mother, Leah Dooley of Brandon; his father, Dewy Dooley of Denham Springs, LA; sisters, Katie Fulton of Brandon and Kaitlin Patrick of Natchitoches, LA; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Elaine Barr and Kenny of Brandon; paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Rev. Travis Fulton and Margaret of Monticello; paternal grandmother, Carol Dooley of Vidalia, LA; maternal great-grandfather, Johnnie Harmon of Brandon; paternal great-grandmothers, Lena Hodges of Magnolia and Eunice Dooley of McComb; and a number of aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Leonard W. Minor, Sr.

WASHINGTON - Services for Leonard W. Minor, Sr., 80, of Natchez, who died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Anthony Colenberg officiating.
Burial will be in the Natchez National cemetery under the diection of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mr. Minor was born
July 17, 1923, in Adams County, the son of John and Elnora Rowan Minor.
He attended Natchez Public School, Trade School and was retired from Adams County Courthouse as a custodian. He was a member of African Methodist Episcopal and the Pro-Tem Trustee.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine T. Minor; children, Mary Dawson of Laplace, LA, Ellen Henderson and husband, Jerry of Laplace, Leonard Minor Jr. and wife, Yvette of Laplace, Diana Thomas and husband, Arnold of Kenner, LA, Clarence Minor, Danny Minor and wife, Melissa, Audrey Bailey, Michael Minor, Willie Minor and wife, Tanya, Gladys Harried and husband, Stanley, all of Natchez, Arthur Johnson and wife, Rosie of Port Gibson and Rosie Lee York of Natchez; one brother, Richard Minor and wife, Gladys of Natchez; 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Arnold Thomas, Michael Minor, Willie Minor, Danny Minor, Clarence Minor, Arthur Johnson and Jerry Henderson.

NATCHEZ - Services for Randy Shelby, 49, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, in Jefferson County, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with Dr. Judson W. Hurt officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Shelby was born
May 25, 1954, in Laurel, the son of Ledrew and Doris Adcox Shelby.
He was co-owner of Earth Hydrocarbons Co., Inc. and a member of Buck Island Hunting Club.
Survivors include his wife, Renella Shelby of Natchez; daughter, Reve Thompson of Monroe, LA; parents, Ledrew and Doris Shelby of Natchez; sister, Vicki Smith of Hendersonville, TN.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Bearden, Ricky Jones, Johnny Hoggatt, Richard Thompson, Billy Gillon and Mike Tatum.
William Elwood Blanton

NATCHEZ - Services for William Elwood Blanton, 86, of Natchez, who died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, at Natchez Community Hospital, are incomplete at Jordan Funeral Home of Kosciusko.
Mr. Blanton was born
Sept. 26, 1917, the son of Willie and Cadda Blanton.
Mr. Blanton was preceded in death by his mother and father and three brothers, Bryce Blanton of Jackson, Frank Blanton of Kosciusko and Irwin Blanton of Natchez.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Kathryn Blanton; two sons, Allen Blanton and wife, Gracie of Natchez and Thomas E. Blanton and wife, Vicki of Sacramento, CA; two grandsons, Woody Blanton and wife, Miranda of Pearl and Dewey Blanton and wife, Tracy of Natchez; two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Austin Blanton; two sisters, Nellie Gary and husband, Oris of Kosciusko and Ellen Brown and husband, J.D. of Kosciusko; one brother, James Blanton of Kosciusko; sisters-in-law, Lula Blanton and Francis Blanton of Kosciusko; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for friends and family at Washington Baptist Church at a later date.

ALABAMA - Services for Nathan Anders, Jr., 72, of Selma, AL, who died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at the V.A. Hospital in Montgomery, AL, was held Sept. 26 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Selma, AL where Brother Ronnie Hall officiated.
Burial was in Alpine Baptist Church cemetery in Alabama.
Mr. Nathan was born
Oct. 14, 1930, in Natchez, the son of Nathan and Stella Anders, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Anders of Selma; three sons, Michael Anders of Natchez, Jeffery Anders of Selma and Chris Anders of Fort Walden, FL; a daughter, Elaine Green of Selma; five step-daughters and two step-sons; two sisters, Margaret Davis of Natchez and Mary Frances Zimmerman of Natchez; one brother, Patrick Anders. Jr. of Natchez.
Pallbearers were members of the Military Airforce.

MEADVILLE - Services for Jeffie Calcote, 90, of Meadville, who died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at Meadville Convalescent Home, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Providence Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Calcote was born
June 13, 1913, in Franklin County, the daughter of Jeff Wallace and Mary Pickering Wallace.
She was a homemaker and a member of Providence Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother and one sister.
Survivors include one daughter, Willie Mae Anders of Meadville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Smith was born
Aug. 12, 1954, in Franklinton, La., the son of Gary Smith and Betty Pigott Smith.
He was a construction worker and a Southern Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Gamble Smith; one son, Cory Smith of Union Church; two daughters, Jennifer Case and Crystal Smith, both of Union Church; two grandchildren; one brother, Herbert Smith of Wiggins; and one sister, Betty Jane Burris of Smithdale.

Burial will be at Springfield Baptist Church cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until service time Monday at Stanton Baptist Church.
Mr. Rushing was born
Sept. 13, 1968, in Natchez, the son of James E. and Rebecca Lambert Rushing Sr. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Rushing of Vidalia; a daughter, Kelsey Rushing of Wesson; a stepson, Dakota Mooney of Vidalia; his parents, Shorty and Becky Rushing of Bogue Chitto; his grandmother, Liz Lambert of Brookhaven; a sister and her husband, Teresa and Kevin Trent of Idaho; two brothers, Willie "Brock" Rushing and Jake Rushing, both of Bogue Chitto; his father- and mother-in-law, Toxie and Jo Burnette of Vidalia; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jan. 7, 1963, in Franklin County, the son of Tom McCoy and Mamie Lindsey McCoy.
He was educated in the Franklin County Public Schools.
Mr. McCoy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sarah King McCoy; and a sister, Mildred Jenkins.
Survivors include six children, Leon King, Thomas S. McCoy, Jr., Christopher King, LaTonya King and Tashaki King, all of Roxie and Darren King of Jackson; five sisters, Elizabeth Bann and husband, Eugene of Waynesboro, Wilma McCoy Green and husband, Jimmy and Janis Purnell and husband, Revon, all of Roxie, Janice Hutton and husband, Charles of Jackson and Ethel Coleman and husband, James of Denton, TX; one brother, Edward Lee Anderson and wife, Jane of Roxie; two aunts, Savannah Mayberry of Dallas, TX and Viola Mason of Roxie; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
