NATCHEZ - Services for Ira Williams, 98, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Franklin County Hospital in Meadville, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Darby Combs officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral home.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today the funeral home.
Mr. Williams was born
May 3, 1906, the son of the late Rufus A. and Adline Boyte Williams. He was a member of Cranfield Baptist Church and a longtime member of the Adams County Water Association. He was retired from Armstrong Rubber Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; one sister; and wives, Jennie Williams and Margie Scott Williams.
Survivors include a son, Carroll Williams and wife, June, of Roxie; daughter, Irene Smith of McNair; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Elliott Stebbins, Brady Stebbins, Wayne Smith, Ken Williams, Chris Strong, George Roberson, and Michael Williams.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Baptist Childrens Village, Jackson, Miss.
Nancy Ford

NATCHEZ - Services for Nancy Ford, 52, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Word of Faith Christian Center with Bishop Robert Cade officiating.
Burial will be in Clark cemetery in Cranfield under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ford was born
Jan. 3, 1953, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Joseph and Odessa Ford.
Survivors include a son, Travis Ford of Natchez; two sisters, Araba Maria Omar a/k/a Brenda Ford and Quanita Lorraine Walker; brother, Warren David Ford; aunt, Alice Mack; and uncle, John Mock.
Pallbearers will be Bernard Thompson, Troy King, William Jones, Jamel Johnson, Jamar Johnson, and Justin Davis.
Ella Mae Green

CANNONSBURG - Services for Ella Mae Green, 48, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at her residence, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Pastor Percy Turner officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Miss Green was born
May 21, 1956, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Martha Green and the late Earl Green Sr.
She was a 1974 graduate of Liddell High School and Copiah Lincoln Community College. She was employed at AJFC.
She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, former member of the usher board, senior choir, Cannonsburg Homemakers Club, member of Will Foster Chapter No. 10 Order of Eastern Star, former Grand Officer-Adah Grand Chapter, former Matron of Will Foster Chapter, former Royal Matron of Evelyn Lillie K. Amaranth Court No. 3, former Matron Trustee, member of Y.P.I.A. Society, L.F.&C.; Society and United Friends Society.
Survivors include her mother, Martha Green; three sisters, Lynda Green and husband, Charles, Earlean Gibbs and husband, James, and Lucie Ford and husband, Lee Sr.; two brothers, Earl Green Jr. and Brent Green and wife, Jeanette, all of Natchez; five nieces, LeOndra Ford, Tri'Yonna Green, LeZerrica Ford, LaShauana Green, all of Natchez, and Earlisha Green of Jackson; three nephews, Earl Green, Bradley Oakley, and Lee Ford Jr., all of Natchez; two godchildren, Tara Kaho and Kishaun Wood, both of Natchez; three adopted sisters, Lawanda Jackson and husband, Ronnie, Viola Green, and Lashaun Green, all of Woodville; grandfather, Jerome Herrington Sr. of Natchez; grandmother, Anna Green of Fayette; a host of aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles, other relatives and friends.

NATCHEZ - Services for Mary May "Sugar" Verucchi Dukes, 89, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, in Natchez, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Assumption Catholic Church with Father David O'Connor officiating.
Burial will be in the Natchez City cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is Thursday at the church from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a wake service at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Dukes was born
Feb. 21, 1915, in Newellton, La., the daughter of Sam and Emma Ballarini May.
She was a farmer's wife, homemaker, and a devout Catholic member of one of the founding Italian families of Assumption Catholic Church, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Louis May, Salvador May, and Julio May; her husbands, Augustine Verucchi Sr. and Roy Dukes.
Survivors include two sons, Augustine Verucchi Jr. and wife, Betty, of Natchez and Salvo Verucchi and wife, Rena, of Hot Springs, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Donnie Verucchi and wife, Carolyn, Jay Verucchi, Mark Verucchi and wife, Janel, all of Natchez, Sue Corley and husband, Mike, of Vidalia, La., Angie Havard and husband, Kenny, of Jackson, Tony Verucchi of Scott, Ark., Bobby Verucchi and wife, Danette, of Malvern, Ark., Mike Verucchi and wife, Susanne, of Dallas, Texas, and Ricky Verucchi of Little Rock, Ark.; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Annie Lewis and husband, Prentiss, of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
Alter servers will also be great-grandsons.

Samuel T. Foster Jr.

DAYTON, Ohio - Samuel T. "Slick" "Big Sam" Foster Jr., died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
Samuel was educated in the Adams County School System and was a resident of Dayton, Ohio. He was a veteran of the United States Army in which he enlisted in 1943.
Samuel was a man that walked hand in hand with Christ. He accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of the Milford Baptist Church Society and the Love, Friendship, and Charity Society, all of Natchez.
Samuel loved the Lord with all his heart, next to the Lord, he loved his family. He was united in holy matrimony to Ninia M. Warner Foster and to union three sons were born.
He is preceded in death by wife and a son, Douglas L. Foster.
He leaves to be thankful for his memory two sons and daughters-in-law, Samuel T. Foster III and wife, Annie P., of Jessup, Md. and Jerry L. "Bill" Foster and wife, Eloise B., of Baton Rouge, La.; two granddaughters, Keila S. Foster and Dara M. Foster, both of Jessup, Md.; grandson, Cameron Jordan Foster of Baton Rouge, La.; three sisters, Margrette F. Smith of Baton Rouge, La., Juanita Foster of Chicago, Ill., and Emma Ruth Foster of Minneapolis, Minn.; six brothers, Stewart Foster of Rock Hill, S.C., Oliver Foster of Minneapolis, Minn., Charles Foster and Henry Foster, both of Natchez, Levi Foster of Orlando, Fla., and Roosevelt Foster of Vicksburg; aunt, Ezella Payne of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mae Foster of Natchez and Clora Foster of Vicksburg; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and associates.

NATCHEZ - Graveside services for H. M. DeLaughter, 93, of Natchez, who died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in Sequin, Texas, will be 11 a.m. today at the Greenlawn Memorial Park with Elder Talmadge Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. DeLaughter was born
May 19, 1911, in Lincoln County, the son of the late William and Ozzie Kelly DeLaughter.
He was preceded is death by his wife, Grace Rials DeLaughter and second wife, Lillie Mae Cox DeLaughter; and son, Jerry DeLaughter.
Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn DeLaughter of San Antonio, Texas; daughter-in-law, Mary Norman DeLaughter of Burnsville, N.C.; two sisters, Alma Maddox and Marguerite Tirrill, both of Natchez; numerous nieces and nephews.
