Ronald Lee Anderson, Sr. was born icon on October 15, 1953 to the late Ed and Willie Belle Anderson.

He was baptized into the Catholic faith and attended St. Mary Catholic Church. Ronald later moved his membership to Living Word Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Stevie C. Duncan.

He was ordained and served faithfully as a Deacon at Living Word Baptist Church and Superintendent of the Sunday school until he was called to rest on August 17, 2016 at the age of 62.

Ronald graduated from Rosa A. Temple High School. He was employed by the City of Vicksburg before moving to Santa Rosa, CA with Diana. While living in Santa Rosa, Ronald married icon Diana and resided in Santa Rosa for several years before moving back to Vicksburg, MS. Ronald was employed by Linecare, LLC until he retired in June 2016.

He is preceded in death by one son, Leonard C. Sims; one sister, Pamela Anderson; and one brother, Ed Anderson, Jr.

Ronald leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife of 21 years, Diana Anderson of Vicksburg, MS: one daughter Samone King of Vicksburg, MS; one step-daughter, LaTanya King of Vicksburg, MS; three sons, Jonathan Parson and Ronald Lee Anderson Jr. both of Vicksburg, MS; Jerome Bracey of Houston, TX; four loving sisters, Joyce Bell and Toni Davis both of Stockton, CA; Greta Anderson and Stephanie Anderson both of Vicksburg, MS and three brothers, Michael Anderson of Stockton, CA; James (Tonya) Anderson, and Anthony Anderson both of Vicksburg, MS; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Anthony Wayne Harris, lovingly known by most as “Wayne” was born icon July 2, 1961 to Flora Lee Harris and the late George Harris, Jr.

He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was a dedicated and faithful member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an usher for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Harris, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Willie, Sr. and Lubertha Harris; paternal grandparents, George, Sr. and Evelyn Harris; a nephew, Austin George Harris and a host of beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

His memory will forever be cherished by: his sons, Trenton Wade Harris and Jalen Roshaun Harris; his mother, Flora Lee Harris; three brothers, Charles (Etta) Harris, Kevin (Tasha) Cartwright and Carl (Bridgette) Harris; eight sisters, Zenobia Harris, Diane (Henry) Hyland, Linda (Ronney) White, Del (David) Minor, Vicki (Barney) Wilson, Faye Harris, Pamela Elam and Paulette Harris; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends including the Parsons, Burns, Durrell and Brown families and his special friend, Makita Wynn.

Willie James Milton was born icon in rural Hinds County near Utica, Mississippi on October 25th, 1935. He is the first born icon of Eddie Milton Senior and his Wife Carrie. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a devout life-long member of Spring Ridge Missionary Baptist church until his death.

Willie Milton was a loving husband, father, brother, friend, and respected businessman. He was married icon to the beautiful Ouida Vernette Beamon of Camden, Mississippi. To this union was born icon two daughters. They settled in Vicksburg, Mississippi and remained together almost a quarter of a century until her death in 1986. He was later engaged to the lovely Farris Atkins, until her death departed them in 2014.

As a young man, he worked for the United States Army Corps of Engineers on the Matt Sinking vessel. He went on to become a dedicated, well respected long time employee of the United States Rubber Company for more than 25 years. While working at that company he discovered real estate investing which would become his most passionate work and bring his career success.

He started with two small properties at the urging of a local businessman. He said the man who was a member of the Abraham family, told him "you're a young man, don't be afraid to try this.” With little knowledge of the real estate business; but a strong determination and work ethic, he went on to grow a business that would eventually provide housing for hundreds of residents and work for many as well.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Eddie and Carrie Milton, Sr., wife Ouida Milton, two sons Jimmy and Douglas (Beverly) Carson and fiancée Farris Atkins.

Willie Milton is the father of four daughters Cynthia Milton, Vicksburg, Mississippi, Renee (Eric) Smith Vicksburg, Mississippi, Brenda Elaine (Thomas) Peels, Killeen, Texas and Ruby Laverne Franklin Jackson, Mississippi; three surviving sons, Larry (Faye) Carson, Jackson, Mississippi, Carl (Pertrennia), Carson, Vicksburg, Mississippi and Derrick Davis, Natchez, Mississippi and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He also leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Eddie (Linda) Milton, Jr., Utica, Mississippi; two sisters, Clara (Wilbert) Willis, Vicksburg, Mississippi and Mary Helen Butler, Utica, Mississippi, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Burnell Brinkley, Sr. was born icon December 23, 1956 in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

He attended Kings Elementary and Warren Central High School.

He confessed Christ at an early age in life under the pastorate of Reverend Alex Miller, Sr. at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Bennie B.) Brinkley, Sr.; two brothers, Norman Brinkley and Henry Brinkley, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Burnell Brinkley, Jr. (Tasha) of Chicago, Illinois; three grandchildren, Anasha, Alon, and Amari; two sisters, Rosie Brinkley of Chicago, Illinois and Floree Brinkley of Vicksburg, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Melvin David Gibson was born icon February 19, 1944 in Claiborne County to Claiborne “Bud” and Carrie Lee Gibson. He was educated at Cedar Elementary School and Rosa A. Temple High School. He was an army veteran stationed in Virginia before moving back to Vicksburg, Mississippi in the early 60’s. He later worked for the Chemical Plant as a supervisor and retired from Foam Packing, Inc.

Melvin was baptized at an early age at Mount Given Baptist Church and later united with The First Assembly of Yahweh (pastored by Robert E. Lewis) where he served Yahweh faithfully until the end.

Melvin was also preceded in death by mother, Carrie Lee Gibson and Father, Claiborne “Bud” Gibson.

Melvin leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Alice Louise Gibson; son, David Cornelius Gibson of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Resell Gibson Williams of Johns Creek, Georgia; grandson, Christopher James Williams of Johns Creek, Georgia; granddaughter, Deionna Bernard of Vicksburg, Mississippi; son-in-law, James Edward Williams of Johns Creek, Georgia; the Boykins, Hill, Reynolds, Claiborne, Sanders and Scott families and a host of other family members and friends that enriched his life greatly.

Bobby Lee Nelson, unexpectedly, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 3, 2016.

Bobby was born icon August 18, 1980 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Irene Nelson and Lee Thomas. He attended Vicksburg Warren Schools and worked for a while at Tyson Foods.

Bobby was preceded in death by his two brothers, Clarence and Ronnie Nelson; his maternal grandparents, M.C. and Essie Qualls and nephew, Christopher Nelson.

Bobby leaves to cherish his memory one precious daughter, Kamari Nelson; his loving mother, Irene Nelson; father, Lee Thomas; and step father, Michael Clayton; his five sisters, Georgia Nelson, Mary Tuitt, Cynthia Nelson and Gabrielle Nelson all of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Jennifer Allen of Monroe, Louisiana; two brothers, Timothy Nelson and Michael Nelson both of Vicksburg, Mississippi; nieces, Jessica Nelson, Andrea Nelson Taylor, Shandrea Nelson, Don’neisha Nelson, Delisha Nelson, Cymya Nelson and DeAdrian Nelson all of Vicksburg, Mississippi; four nephews, Donald Nelson, Terry Robinson, Omarion Nelson, Sean Mason, Jr.; special friend, Shanella M. Leroy Warfield was born icon in Vicksburg, Mississippi on April 6, 1962 to Mrs. Ruby Warfield and the late Mr. Robert Shorter.

He confessed Christ at an early age in Hinds County at Belmont Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Cesar Smith. He was a member of Belmont for many years.

Leroy attended Warrenton Elementary, Warren Central Junior High and Warren Central High School. He worked at Simpson Duravent until its closing, Anderson Tully, Ameristar and Popeyes Chicken.

He was united in matrimony to his now divorced wife, Mrs. Cordellia Brown Warfield.

Leroy was preceded in death by his father, Robert Shorter, his grandparents, Walter Lewis Warfield and Coniell Carson Mace Warfield.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving mother, Mrs. Ruby Warfield; his daughter, Tiffany Warfield; his son, Uriah Warfield; his sister, Debora Warfield (Darryl) Clark; one grandchild, Armoni Nyomi Hearron; two nieces, Latoya Warfield and Ashley Warfield; two nephews, Walter Warfield and Lashawn Warfield; four great nieces and nephews; his aunts, Marion Coy, Ethel Gardner, Alice Jones, Mary Allen, Lena Mae Robinson, Wilma Pendleton, Ruth (Clinton, Sr.) Williams, Flora (Houston) Williams and two uncles; Henry Warfield and Fred Mace; special cousins, Tracey and Alton Sims, Trina and Ray Lloyd, Jr. as well as the Flaggs, Taylor, Carson and Shorter families.

Mr. Frank Singleton, Jr. was born icon on January 14, 1938 to the late Frank Singleton, Sr. and Sarah Bankston Singleton in Edwards, Mississippi. Frank was baptized at a very early age at Sand Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He later moved his membership to Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Edwards, Mississippi.

Frank attended Edwards Junior High before enlisting in the United States Army. He believed in hard work. He worked diligently to provide for his loved ones. He had various jobs in Chicago, Illinois, mostly with the railroad. He was united in holy matrimony to Earline Taylor Love on June 20, 1992. They remained married icon until his death. Frank retired from Anderson Tully in 2000, and later worked part time at Good Shepherd’s Community Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi until his health declined.

Frank leaves to cherish his wife of 24 years, Earline Singleton, of Vicksburg, Mississippi; sons Franklin (Vera) Singleton of Edwards, Mississippi and Cornelius Thomas of Chicago, Illinois; four daughters, Mary (Larry) Judge, Georgia (Jeffery) Kemp, Shirley (Gary) Cooper, all of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Mary Thomas of Chicago, Illinois; six sisters, Leola (Ozell) Bailey of Jackson, Mississippi, Mamie Battle, Annie Singleton, Juanita Harris, Rose Singleton, all of Chicago, Illinois, and Luxella Harris of Jackson, Mississippi; four brothers, Alonzo (Betty) Singleton of Chicago, Illinois, Johnny (Frankie) Singleton of Clinton, Mississippi, Dannie Singleton (Carol) of Cleveland, Ohio and Reno (Pamela) Singleton of Chicago, Illinois; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mrs. Willie B McGowan-Hill was born icon April 9, 1917 in Crystal Springs, Mississippi to the late Percy and Lila McGowan.

She was truly a child of God; she accepted Christ at an early age. She later moved to Hollandale, Mississippi and raised her children Emma Jean Williams, Benny Caston, Edward Louis Caston, Tommy Caston, she later married icon Keller Hill in Hollandale, Mississippi and to that union two sons, Keller Hill, Shelly Hill, six daughters, Mary L. Hill-O'Neal, Ruthie Hill-Anderson, Isabella Hill­Heath, Willie Mae Hill-Walker, Etta Hill-Harris, and Rena Hill- Washington.

She moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi. She joined Mount Zion # 1 Church in Vicksburg, Mississippi and served on the motherboard for many years. She was a faithful member of Church of Christ in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

She worked as a housewife for many years, and later worked at Anderson Tully until she retired. She was known to many as Mrs. Willie B. She had a beautiful soul and the ability to bring joy and laughter to any situation.

She transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 99. She will truly be missed by all of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Keller Hill, father Percy and mother Lila McGowan; four sons, Bennie Caston, Edward Louis Caston, Kelly Hill and Shelly Hill; one daughter, Emma Jean Williams; three sisters, Rosie Davis, Ruth Mayfield, Annie Mae Odom; three brothers Matt Mcfiowan, Percy McGowan, Sr., Joseph McGowan; three grandchildren, Ernest Riggin, Elmo Caston and Tommy Caston, Jr ..

She leaves to cherish her memory six daughters, Mary L. O'Neal, Ruthie Mae Anderson, Isabella Heath, Etta (Charles) Harris and Rena (Steve) Washington, of Vicksburg, MS; and Willie Mae (Ray) Walker of Aurora, IL; two sons, Tommy (Florice) Caston and Willie Noye of Vicksburg, MS and one brother, Herman Campbell, Sr. of Vicksburg, MS; a host of grand, great-grand, great-great grand, great-great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews of the McGowan, Davis, Mayfield, Odom, Hill and Caston families; one sister-in-law Mrs. Virgie McGowan of Lansing, Michigan; three daughters-in-law, Mrs. Levella Caston of Lansing, MI, Mrs. Geneva Hill of Port Gibson, MS and Mrs. Mary Lee Brown of Vicksburg, MS and other relatives and friends.

Willie Lee Turner was born icon May 26, 1932, to the late Mrs. Mattie Davis Lowe and the late Willie Turner, Sr. of Vicksburg, Mississippi. He completed his earthly journey on July 17, 2016. He was preceded in death by a son, Authur Ray Turner, a daughter, Shirley Turner, and a brother, Eddie Lee Lowe.

Willie is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Love Turner of Vicksburg, Mississippi; five daughters, Earnestine Goodson and Attoinette Turner of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Doris (Greg) Houston of Columbus, Mississippi, Linda (Jessie) Lumpkin and Denise Love of Vicksburg, Mississippi; five sons, Darrell (Pam) Turner and Willie Earl Turner of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Eric Turner, Kederrious Turner and Derrick (T'Retha) Turner of Vicksburg, Mississippi; one sister, Deteris Lowe (MacArthur) McGriggs of Biloxi, Mississippi; two brothers, Sidney (Virginia) Lowe of California and Wilbert Lowe, Sr. of New York; special family members, Mack and Penny Varnen of Vicksburg, Mississippi and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
