Katina Dionne Williams Trevillion passed from death to life on Friday, February 19, 2016 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, Mississippi.

She was a resident of Moss Point, Mississippi. Katina confessed Christ at an early age. She later joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in McLain, Mississippi where she served faithfully until her passing.

Katina attended Vicksburg Public School and went on to get her CNA license as well as her cosmetology license. But what she loved most was being a wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hall; stepfather Charles Lee Hebron; brothers, Charles and Preston Williams (Betty); sister, Gertrude Clark; one aunt and one uncle.

Katina leaves loving memories to be cherished by: her beloved husband, Wilbert R. Trevillion; two daughters, Kimyattie L. Stewart and Wil'Lisha K. Trevillion; two sons, Johnathan D. Williams and Walter D. Stewart; her mother, Diane Williams Hebron; mother-in-law, Doris E. Carter (Julius); two sisters, Stacy Jackson (Nick) and Irma Bass; two brothers, Jerome Williams and Quincy Williams; two sisters-in-law, Georgette Trevillion Dee and Gabrielle E. Trevillion; five grandsons, Kemari, Brayden, Jaylen, Jamarius and D'Marlow; ten aunts, six uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, including the Bass, Carter, Love, Williams, Trevillion and Reed Families.

Louise J. Montgomery was born icon June 18, 1950 to the late Delphine Burks Jackson and the late Louis Jackson in Utica, Mississippi. She departed this life on February 21, 2016 at Promise Hospital in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Louise gave her life to Christ at an early age, and was of the Baptist faith. She also was a long-time member of New Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church of Vicksburg, Mississippi. She was formerly employed at Diamond Jacks Casino for years until her sudden illness. Louise was a loving mother, aunt, sister and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Montgomery, Sr. and her brother, Elijah Burks.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Tosha Montgomery of Vicksburg, Mississippi; two sons, Jessie Montgomery, Jr. of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Stephen Montgomery of San Diego, California; two sisters, Mildred Jackson Hicks of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Trinell Burks Newton of Jackson, Mississippi; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one niece, two nephews; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Margaree Tolliver Flowers was born icon on April 23, 1924, in Vicksburg, Mississippi to the late Mose, Sr. and Rosie Austin Tolliver. She peacefully departed this life on February 10, 2016.

She was a faithful member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Brook Chapter #109 Electra Grand Chapter.

She was united in matrimony to Peter Flowers, Sr. who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Flowers; a daughter, Patricia Eubanks; sister, Irene Nervis; brother, Mose Tolliver, Jr.; grandson, Andrew Smith and a son-in-law, Robert Marshall.

She leaves to cherish her memories: seven children; Ann Marshall, Peter Flowers, Jr. Victoria (Oscar) Mayfield, Willie Mae (Charles) Maxey, Deyannah Flowers, Kiaheam Flowers all of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Viola (Ivy) Cash of Woodbridge, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Dr. Marie Wright Tolliver of Saginaw, Michigan and an aunt, Susie Tolliver of Illinois. Loving memories are also felt by her fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives including the Nervis, Tolliver and Austin family.

Ella B. Jones was born icon to Sam Brown of Bolton, MS and Beatrice Williams, of Pocahontas, MS. She accepted Christ at an early age at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Later, on January 17, 2016, she rededicated her life back to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She attended East Flora High School and graduated in 1968. She also attended Phillips Jr. College and finished her college years at Job Corps in Brooklyn, NY.

Ella B. was a waitress at Chop Full of Nuts, where she would talk about how she made her customers happy and very pleased with her service. She also worked for Good Will Services for many years.

Ella B. always had a love for God and to stay close to Him. She attended church with her kids on a regular basis. She had a lovely singing voice. She enjoyed listening to the radio and old cowboy and western movies were her favorite. She had a passion for cooking, sewing and doing crossword puzzles. She loved the great outdoors and traveling. She enjoyed talking to people. She had a generous heart to help others, especially when there was a need. She was always willing to give you her last, regardless of her situation. Making new friends was not hard for her. If you were to know Ella B., you would not forget her face or her name, because she had an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile.

Ella B. was preceded in death by father, Sam Brown and her brother, Johnny Roy Jones, Jr.

Ella B. leaves to cherish her beloved mother: Beatrice Jones of Jackson, MS; two sons, Jeffery (Tara) Jones and Michael Jones of Houston, TX; one daughter, Demetrice Jones of Vicksburg, MS; one brother, Edward Lee (Mary Ann) Fowler of Jackson, MS; three sisters, Patricia Ann (Walter) Wilson of Chicago, IL, Bobbie Ann Williams and Diane Kitchens of Jackson, MS; nine grandchildren, Brittany Bass, Valerie Feazell, Kiara Jones, Tiffany Jones, JaMeelah Jones, J’Ra Jones, Mi’Kel Jones, D’Ella Daniel and Dayjah Daniel; and a host of nieces, nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Ms. Winnie Mae Martin was born icon on March 3, 1934 in Yokena, MS. She departed this life Monday, February 8th at Merit Health River Region Hospital. She was 81.

Ms. Martin accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful and devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church in Vicksburg.

Ms. Martin was preceded in death by her sons, Henry L. and Tommy L. Martin, her mother, father, and all siblings.

Survivors include her three grandchildren, Andrea Martin of Dallas, TX, Farrah Nicole Martin of Denver, CO and Tomisea Martin of Vicksburg; one great-grandson, Demmy C. Bland, Jr. of Dallas, TX; a great niece and nephew whom she raised as her children, Tina and Robert Brown both of Jackson, MS; Larry Cain (Martin) of Vicksburg, MS whom she raised as her son; two daughters-in-law, Noel F. and Daisy M. Martin; a sister-in-law, Exelena Martin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Birth

On June 1, 1956, Julius D. Carter, Jr. was born icon in Cary, Mississippi to Julius Carter, Sr. and Bernice Carter. He is the fourth oldest child.

Educational Accomplishments & Holy Unity

Julius was educated in the Cleveland School District and graduated from East Side High School. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Cynthia Carter and later to Amerion Carter.

Church Fellowship

Julius accepted Christ at an early age. In 1956, he moved to Boyle and joined Macedonia M.B. Church under the leadership of Leroy Johnson. He moved to Vicksburg under the leadership of Pastor Linda Sweezey until he moved to New York.

Work Experience

Julius retired from the United States Army. His family wished that he be laid to rest where his parents will be residing.

Time to Rest

“I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.” ~ St. John 17:4. Julius transitioned from this earthly life at the hospital. He is preceded in death by his wife, grandmother (Elnora Humphrey), sister (Carolyn Rippie), two nephews (Sherman Carter &' Frank Milligan) &' niece (Shantay Crumpton).

Carter, Sandy Carter, and Ronnie (Catrina) Carter all of Vicksburg and Keith Carter of Piano, TX; eight sisters, Bobbie (Jeff) Holmes, Deborah (Henry) Ringo, Velma (Terry) Thomas, Patricia (James) Mayfield, Rosa (Jake) Coffie all of Vicksburg, Carolyn (Roosevelt) Robinson of Lake Providence, Jackie Brown and Annette Berry of Memphis, TN; fiance, Gillian White of New York; two special brothers: James Bishop and Jesse Jackson; two stepsisters, Gabrielle Trevillion and Georgette Trevillion and one step brother, Wilbert Trevillion.

Seventy years ago, on February 8, 1945, the time to be born icon came for Lenora Sanders; born icon to the late Mr. Curley Sanders, Sr. and Mrs. Mozella Sludge Sanders.

"A Time to Live"

Lenora was a lover of God. She loved and enjoyed having conversations of spiritual nature. Lenora also loved her family unconditionally. She loved music and dancing. She was just a happy person that was fun to be around. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Curley Sanders, Sr. and Mrs. Mozella Sanders; one brother, Curley Sanders, Jr.; a sister, Gertie Mae Sanders; two nephews, John Henry Reed, Sr. and James Earl Sanders.

On Sunday, February 7, 2016, Lenora Sanders departed this life. She leaves to cherish her memories; a daughter, Teresa (Nathaniel) Bell and their children: Johnny and Nathaniel, Jr.; her son, Earnest (Shirley) Sanders and their children; Kesinee W., Ricky B. and Jarvis B, her son, James (Elizabeth) Sanders and Chozen; her sister, Ivera (Caleb) all whom reside in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends all of whom loved her dearly.

Mr. Jefferson departed this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. Mr. Jefferson was baptized at an early age and attended school in Warren County.

Mr. Jefferson was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie Jefferson; his parents, James Dusty Hardy and Ikie Lee Hardy; a son, Anthony Tyrone Mitchell; one grandson, Aaron Jefferson and one brother, Ulysses C. Hardy; three brothers-in-law, Larry Smith, Raymond Bynum, Jr. and Jimmy Lee Rowster, Sr.

Charlie “Charlie Boy” was born icon in Vicksburg, Mississippi June 02, 1944. He was the oldest child of Katie Mae Cooksey.

He confessed Christ at an early age at St. Mary Catholic Church. He later was baptized at Greater Grove M.B. church. He attended the Vicksburg Public Schools. He started working for Mr. Fred Peyton, Sr. for ten years, and “The Budweiser, Bush Distributor” for twenty-five years.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to Dorothy Williams. To this union one child was born, Charlie Stevenson, Jr.

He was a respectable, kind, lovable person that knew no strangers.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mrs. Katie Mae Cooksey; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Mae Jones; grandparents, Mrs. Helen P. Caldwell, Mrs. Mable Stevenson, Mr. Charlie Stevenson and godmother, Mrs. Beatrice Jordan.
