Thelma L. Washington (Moran) was born
December 22, 1952 to the late Williona Washington and John L. James, Sr. of Vicksburg, Mississippi. On Thursday, December 3, 2015 at her home in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the Angels in Heaven took her on her final flight into Heaven.
She united in holy matrimony to L.T. “Butch” Moran, Sr. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Clover Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Thelma attended Warren Central High School where she received her diploma and she enhanced her sills in the medical field throughout her career.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, L.T. “Butch” Moran, Sr.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Williona and John L. James, Sr.; sister, Barbara James Newsome, a brother, Jessie James; five aunts, Idella McGee, Rosie Lee Turner, Katie Mae Robinson, Sophia Washington and Viola Neal; two uncles, George Washington and Rufus Washington.
Thelma leaves to cherish her one and only son, Kevin L. Washington and her two grandchildren, Angel Harmon and Brooklyn Washington and a special friend, James Walton from Baltimore, Maryland; five sisters, Khristine (Wilbert) Doss, Jacqueline James, Gloria James all of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Betty James Tucker of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and Louvina James Noble of Chicago, Illinois; three brothers, Melvin (Veronica) James of Augusta, Georgia, Willie L. (Rose) James of Vicksburg, Mississippi and John L. (Alina) James, Jr. of Marietta, Georgia; four aunts, Laura Harried of Atlanta, Georgia, Adline (Ken) Smithsome of Rhode Island, Melva Tarleton and Virginia Subject of Vicksburg, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends including the Robinson, McGriggs, Martin, Wilson, McGowan, Washington, Prentiss, Anderson, Reynolds, Neal, Burns, Gaskin, Fisher, Knox and the Benard families.

Willie C. Thomas was born
July 3, 1947 to the late Joe Thomas, Sr. and Willie B. Pollard Thomas.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Greater Zion Travelers M.B. Church in Utica, MS.
Willie C. worked at Hinds and Warren County road department for a number of years. He later retired from Letourneau in Vicksburg, MS.
He was married
to Christine Allen-Thomas on April 28, 2001. Willie C. loved watching TV, especially westerns, Matlock, and Walker Texas Ranger.
Willie C. was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Willie B. Thomas; brother, Joe “Excell” Thomas, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Christine Thomas of Vicksburg, MS; two daughters, Martha Thomas and Brittany Thomas; three sons, Willie C. (Stephanie) Thomas, Jr., Michael Thomas and Reco (Talisha) Thomas of daughters, three sisters, Mae Ethel McNeal, Joann (Willie) Chess, and Martha Thomas; one brother, Larry (Patricia) Thomas; five step-children; Don “Rudy” Allen, Rodney Allen, Fred (Jessica) Allen, Charles (Valencia) Bailey, and Henderson (Ernestine) Bailey; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

William Mosley Bowman was the third child born
to the late David Charles and Mary Brown Bowman July 25, 1939 in Eldorado, Mississippi. He had one brother and three sisters.
He attended Eldorado and Ballground Elementary Schools and graduated from Bowman High School in the class of 1958. The following year he worked for Boykin Construction and the Vicksburg Public School System. He attended Alcorn A &M College as a freshman and graduated from Mississippi Valley State University in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Education and earned a Master of Education from Mississippi College in Administration and Supervision in 1972. He did further studies at Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama, Tuskegee Institute, Tuskegee, Alabama and Mississippi State University. He also received Certification in Elementary Education.
William confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. There he served as a deacon and Chairman of the Trustee Board.
In December 1966 he united in Holy Matrimony to Helen Bell of Vicksburg, Mississippi.
William started his teaching career at Harris Junior College, Meridian, Mississippi in Industrial Arts and continued his career at Booker T. Washington High, Philadelphia, Mississippi; Jefferson Junior High, Vicksburg, Mississippi, where he served as Assistant Principal and Industrial Arts instructor and Director of Neighborhood Youth Corp for the Vicksburg Public Schools. He became Principal of Ken Karyl Elementary in 1970. From 1976 to 1984 he served as Principal of Vicksburg Middle School and taught Adult Education at Hinds Junior College Vicksburg-Warren Branch. In 1984 he became Assistant Supervisor for local administrative services and Chapter 1 Coordinator. He ended his career in education after forty and a half years in 2004 as Director of Federal Programs.
William was active in several community organizations. He was a member of the Elks Fidelity Lodge No. 507, I.B.P.O.E. of W, Chairman of Education Committee P.E.R. Council No 80, I.B.P.O. E. of W. and a former member of Kings Lodge No. 191., VWSE Federal Credit Union President, Mississippi Valley State University Alumni Association, Esquire Club of Vicksburg, Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 115 and Port City Kiwanis Club.
His professional affiliation included the Mississippi Association of Federal Education Program Directors, Phi Delta Kappa and YMCA Board.
Cherished memories will be fondly kept by: his wife of forty-eight years, Helen B. Bowman, Vicksburg, Mississippi; sisters Ethel Sanders, Vicksburg, Mississippi, Hazel Lee Bowman and Shirley Bowman Myles, Detroit, Michigan, nieces, Alicia Myles, Dallas, Texas, Ashley Allen, Detroit, Michigan and Kaylor M. Bell, Vicksburg, Mississippi; nephews, Lloyd Bowman (Kim), Kevin Myles, Matthew Bowman, Andrew Bowman, Detroit, MI and Kelvin L. Bell, Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Ms. Mary Lucy Chambers was born
May 7, 1961, in Adams County, Mississippi to the late Julius Chambers, Sr. and Esther Barker Chambers. She departed this life on November 25, 2015, at her home in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius Chambers, Sr. and Esther Barker Chambers, her brother, Ronald Chambers and seven uncles.
At an early age Mary joined Nolan Hill A&M Church in Lorman, Mississippi. She graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1979. She moved to Vicksburg in her early 20's. She joined Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church in the late 90's, early 2000. She was employed at Shoney's for a few years. At the time of her passing she was employed with the Vicksburg Engineering and Manufacturing where she served for more than 8 years. She was a child of Christ, and her heart was pure gold. Mary was one of a kind, cool, laid back, fun, caring, and loveable all in one. She will be truly missed.
Mary leaves cherished memories to: her children, daughter, D'Andra Chambers of Vicksburg, Mississippi and son, Andrew Peoples, Jr. of Vicksburg, Mississippi; two sisters, Isabell Weddington of Lorman, Mississippi and Rebecca Chambers-Crystian of Lorman, Mississippi; two brothers, Julius Chambers, Jr. (Eloise) of Cannosburg, Mississippi and Donald Chambers of Vicksburg, Mississippi; sister-in-law, Theresa Hargro; four grandchildren; a godchild, Ronald Jones; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives; close friends, LaTaniya Cage, Jacquline Walker-Gaines, Pamela Sanders-Henderson, Catina Cusic, Rachel Cage, Curtis Garrett and Willie Peoples; her church family and other friends.

Mr. Kenneth Earl Johnson was born
September 13, 1962 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Mr. Elijah Johnson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Dorothy Johnson.
He confessed to Christ at a young age at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church.
He was employed at Central Asphalt until his illness.
Kenneth leaves here to cherish in his memories are: His father, Elijah Johnson, Sr.; three sons, Christopher Johnson, Kenneth L. Johnson and Shonderrick Jackson; three grandchildren: Christionna I. Jackson, Shundarrius Franklin and Camarie A. Bobby was affectingly known as Elbert Lee, Uncle Bubba and B.J. Bobby’s life can be characterized by his love toward his family and generosity to all he encountered. Bobby and his siblings shared a close relationship throughout their entire lives. The things that he enjoyed most were family reunions, fishing, hunting and his church family. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Tyner Ford Post 213. He was a member of the American Legion and retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Bobby was the fourth of twelve children born
to Dennis and Mary Brown who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Dennis Brown III, Freddie Johnson, James Brown and Leroy Brown; sisters, Joann Brown, Frankie Lightfoot, and Thelma Johnson, and a nephew, Marcus Brown. Bobby was born
and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He was a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Bobby leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Judi (Christopher) Wade; a son, Bryan Brown; a granddaughter, Kennedy Wade; two grandsons, Bryan Brown Jr., and Benjamin Brown; brothers, Harry Brown, Terry (Virginia) Brown, Earnest Paul (Darlene) Brown and Dennis Johnson; sisters, Lorraine Tate, Pauline Harris, Mary Louise Brown and Canerie (Don) Garrett; sister-n-laws, Ella Brown and Cherry Brown and the Anthony, Cartwright, Harris, Jackson, Pettis, Pollard, Shelton, and Williams families and a multitude of friends including Johnny Williams III, Mr. & Mrs. Clifton Jeffery.

Mary Elizabeth Tolliver Martin was born
to the late Jerry and Freddie Bell Lucas Tolliver on December 17, 1951 in Vicksburg, MS. She attended Rosa A. Temple High School and graduated in 1969. She completed coursework and earned a certification in Nursing from Mercy Hospital.
Mary confessed Christ at an early age at Greater Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a very faithful member until relocating to Texas.
She began her employment at Mercy Hospital in Vicksburg, MS. She later became employed with Trace Haven Nursing Home where she worked until retirement.
She loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching television, and watching soap operas with her big sister. Mary had a passion for taking care of people. She passed that same passion to her daughter. She was definitely loved and respected by everyone who knew her. To know Mary E. Martin, was to love her.
Ms. Martin is preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Freddie Bell Lucas Tolliver; a sister, Geraldine Tolliver; two brothers, Jerry Tolliver and Dr. Johnny Tolliver.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her daughter, Michelle Annette Martin-Johnson of Princeton, TX; three grandsons, Jarod Porter of Eglin AFB, FL, Jashod Porter of Princeton, TX, and David Johnson II of Princeton, TX; a granddaughter, Jayla Williams of Princeton, TX; a Godson, Alex DeShawn McKenzie of Vicksburg, MS; a sister, Freddie Loreaca Tolliver-Wilson of Carrollton, TX; three nieces, Felicia Tolliver Johnson, Jawan Renee Tolliver, and Patricia Tolliver; two nephews, Johnny Tolliver, Jr., and Jonathan Tolliver and a host of family and friends including the Jones’ and Minor’s.

Johnny Lee Hunt was born
on April 30, 1942 in Utica, Mississippi to the late Levi Hunt and Joe Cry Carson Hunt. He confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Belmont Missionary Baptist Church.
Johnny graduated from Utica Jr. College in Utica, Mississippi in 1964. He furthered his education by attending one year at Alcorn State University. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and enjoyed reading.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Levi Hunt and Joe Cary Carson Hunt; brothers, Lee G. Hunt and Charlie B. Hunt; his sister, Lenora McGriggs.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his brothers, Robert E. Hunt and Elijah C. Hunt, Sr., both of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Eddie L. Hunt and Sherman Hunt both of Los Angeles, California; his sister, Virgie Baskerville of Los Angeles, California; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
