Mrs. Lillie Winfred Garrison, 87, of Moss Point, Miss., died June 10, 2002, at her residence. She was born icon July 11, 1914, in Leake County, Miss. Mrs. Garrison was a homemaker and member of Kreole Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Ella Rogers; husband, Otis Earl Garrison; son, Robert Edward Garrison; three brothers; and two sisters.

WILLIAMS
Mr. Herman Williams, Sr., 83, of Moss Point, Miss., departed this life Aug. 3, 2002. He was born icon April 10, 1919, in St. Elmo, Ala., and has been a lifelong resident of Jackson County. Mr. Williams was of the Baptist faith, and a member of Meridian St. Baptist Church of Moss Point, where he served as Deacon.

MCINTOSH
Robert Carlton McIntosh, 43, of Ocean Springs, Miss., died Monday, August 5, 2002, in Ocean Springs, Miss. He was born icon August 4, 1959, in Biloxi, Miss., and has been a life-long resident of the Gulf Coast. He was a retired E5 Air Force Veteran having served during the Grenada Conflict and Desert Storm. He was a former employee of Ingalls Shipbuilding as an engineer. Mr. McIntosh was a long-time member of Eastlawn United Methodist Church in Pascagoula and also a member of American Legion in Ocean Springs, Miss.

SIMS
Rev. Willie "Pa-Pa" Sims, born icon September 5, 1921, in Pace, Fla., departed this earth for his heavenly home on August 4, 2002, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, Miss. He served in the U. S. Army, after which he resided in Pensacola, Fla., and later retired as a practicing minister. He also retired as a schoolteacher for the Escambia County School System. After moving to Moss Point, he became an active member of New Faith Missionary Baptist Church until he became physically ill.

BISHOP
Charles Melvin Bishop, 70, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Sunday, August 4, 2002, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born icon March 29, 1932, in Pascagoula and has been a life-long resident. Mr. Bishop was a graduate of Mississippi Southern College with a B.S. Degree in Accounting. He retired after 37 years as an accountant from Ingalls Shipbuilding. He was a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula. He was also a former member of Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus, and American Legion. Mr. Bishop was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.

JONES
Harris Earl Jones died Monday, Aug. 5, 2002, in Hurley, Miss. He was born icon April 24, 1938, in Smith County, Miss. Mr. Jones was a self-employed truck driver, member of the Hurley United Methodist Church, a Mason and a Shriner. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Esther Jones; five brothers, Carl, Pershing, Stacy, Harold and Haskell Jones; and one sister, Hazel Hancock.

TOCHE
Dorothy Easterly Toche, 51, of Vancleave, Miss., born icon Dec. 29, 1950, in Biloxi, Miss., died Monday, August 5, 2002, in Vancleave. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School, class of 1968, and later received a Practical Nursing Degree from Jefferson Davis Junior College in Biloxi. In May 1972, she married icon Mr. John W. Easterly. The couple had two children, Jamie Marie Easterly and Jennifer Rae Easterly. Returning to the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, she earned her Registered Nursing Degree and worked in several prominent hospitals, Biloxi Hospital, Clarksdale, Mississippi, Hospital, Gulfport Hospital, Gulf Coast Community Hospital, and the New Orleans Veterans Administration Hospital. As a dedicated nurse, she preferred to work in both emergency and operating rooms. Remarrying Mr. Charles T. Toche in 1992, she was active in many Gulf Coast organizations. An avowed sailor, she and her family enjoyed sailing, gardening and recreation.

WILSON
Helen Ekes Wilson, 73 of Vancleave, Miss., died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, in Ocean Springs, Miss. Mrs. Wilson was a native of Laurel, Miss. She was a 1950 graduate of University of Southern Mississippi. She interned at Charlotte Memorial Hospital, Charlotte, N.C., Veterans Administrations in Jackson, Miss., Columbia, S.C., and Augusta, Ga., and Jones County Community Hospital where she retired as head dietitian after 20 years of service. Mrs. Wilson was a consultant at Ellisville State School, then retired to her home in Vancleave. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Mary Lee Ekes.

SAGERS
Geneva Lois Foster Sagers, 82, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, in Pascagoula. Mrs. Sagers was born icon Sept. 29, 1920, in Brookhaven, Miss. She had made her home in Pascagoula since 1957, retiring from McCrory's Stores known in Pascagoula as McClellans in the Downtown Plaza. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jack D. Sagers, Sr., a daughter, Patricia Ann; three sisters; and one brother.

BROWN
Eleanor G. Brown, 82, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, in Orlando, Fla. Graveside services are 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2, in Gautier cemetery, Gautier, Miss., with the Rev. Bill Barton officiating.

PURYER
Mrs. Estella Puryer, affectionately known by her family as "My Dear", was born icon to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Tom (Mattie) Hunt on June 8, 1916, in Monroeville, Ala. She departed this life on Thursday, June 6, 2002, at the Plaza Rehabilitation Center, Pascagoula.

BOWEN
Henry Earl Bowen, 57, a lifelong resident of Jackson County joined our Heavenly Father on Friday, June 7, 2002. He was a member of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local Union 714 for 35 years. Employed at Friede-Goldman as a welder for 13 years. Henry was considered a dedicated and respected employee by his co-workers. He was born icon July 27, 1944, in Raleigh, Miss. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Delton and Maebelle Bowen of Helena.

COLEMAN
Leon C. Coleman, 61, of Escatawpa, Miss., born icon June 3, 1941 in Jackson County, Miss., died June 7, 2002, in Escatawpa. He was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Mabrey L. Coleman and stepmother; stepfather, Dale R. Baker; maternal grandparents, Fritz and Hannah Lander; paternal grandparents, Wiley and Enda Coleman.

GATES
Raymond Ray Gates, 69, was a sheet metal worker at Ingalls Shipbuilding, where he retired. A native of Clarke County and a resident of Grand Bay, Ala. He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Eugene Gates and mother, Nannie Mae Barnes.

SIGALAS
Bonnie Kay Sigalas, 47, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Saturday, June 8, 2002, in a local hospital. She was born icon in Pascagoula, Miss., on February 2, 1955, to Mr. Kenneth Morris Willis and Mrs. Winnie Barber. She lived in Pascagoula all of her life. She is a beloved mother and wonderful grandmother. She graduated from Pascagoula High School and she received a diploma in beauty culture from Pascagoula Beauty Academy. She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Morris Willis; and a sister, Ruby M. Willis.

HEMBREE
Sadie Rae Cranford Hembree, 86, of Moss Point, was born icon November 15, 1915, in Wayne County, Miss., and died Friday, June 7, 2002, in Moss Point. She was a member of Escatawpa Baptist Church.

KENSLER
Wilma Elizabeth Kensler, 66, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Friday, June 7, 2002, at her residence.

PETTEN
Terry Van Petten, 54, of Lucedale, Miss., died Wednesday, June 5, 2002.

PIERCE
Apalona Wynne Pierce, 85, of Pascagoula, died Friday, June 7, 2002, in Pascagoula. She was born icon August 24, 1916, in Merigold, Miss., She was of the Methodist faith.

HALE
Mary G. Hale, 51, of Moss Point, Miss., born icon April 30, 1951, in Louisville, Miss., died Monday, June 4, 2002, in Moss Point, Miss. She was a Mentally Handicapped Instructor for Mobile Association for Retarded Citizens.

STONE
James D. Stone, Sr., known affectionately as "J.D.", "Jimmy", "Chumbag" (and from childhood "Yogi" while playing in little league) went to meet our Heavenly Father and his beloved wife, Lori, on this day after a long battle with a heart anomaly at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Ala.

MYERS
Jimmy E. Myers, 49, born icon Dec. 25, 1952, died Thursday, June 6, 2002. He was preceded in death by his sister, Odessa Shockley; maternal grandmother, Audie Carter; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Myers.

STONE

He was of the Baptist faith and attended Wade Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Denford &Bessie Dickerson, wife, Annie Helen Dickerson, and a son, Daniel Denford Dickerson.

HUDSON
James K. Hudson Jr., 72, of Pascagoula, Miss., died June 5, 2002. Mr. Hudson was born icon August 21, 1929, in Pascagoula, where he was a lifelong resident. He was a retired pipefitter from Ingalls Shipbuilding. Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lee Thomas Hudson.

MOULDS
Harold (Boose) Moulds, 87 of Lucedale, Miss. died June 3, 2002.

DAVIS
Mr. Edward Swanson "Dick" Davis, 60, died June 2, 2002, at Singing River Hospital, Pascagoula, Miss. Mr. Davis was a native of George County, Miss., a resident of 1206 Wilkson Ferry Road, Lucedale, Miss. 39452, a welder at Ingalls Shipyard.

HOOKS
Marvin D. Hooks, age 72, of Gautier, Miss., died June 3, 2002, in Biloxi, Miss. He was born icon December 17, 1929, in Bates, Arkansas. He had retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding as rigging supervisor after serving 27 1, 2 years in the United States Navy, serving in Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of Martin Bluff Baptist Church. Mr. Hooks was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lonnie and Idell Hooks; and his son, Cecil Hooks.

HUFF
Thomas Earl Huff, 74 of Moss Point, Mississippi died June 4, 2002 at his residence. He was born icon November 19, 1927 in Gloster, Mississippi. He was a member of Kreole United Methodist Church and the Men's Bible Class. Mr. Huff retired from International Paper Company as an Electrician after 42 years of service, and also served in the Air Force. He was a member of Moss Point Masonic Lodge No. 202, IBEW Local Union and the Orange Grove cemetery Association. Also, Mr. Huff was co-founder of the Retriever's Search and Rescue Squad of Jackson County. He and his wife, owned and operated Kiddiland Day Care for many years where he was affectionately known as "Paw-Paw Huff". He was preceded in death by his parents; Grady and Mattie Huff and a son; Thomas Lee "Tommy" Huff.

RONK
Edward Darrell Ronk, 47 of Gautier, Miss., died June 3, 2002. Mr. Ronk was born icon May 30, 1955 in Milton, West Virginia. He has been a resident of the Miss. Gulf Coast for the past 12 years and employed with Isle of Capri Casino for the past 11 years in the Maintenance Department.

WILLIAMS
Ruby Nell Williams, 83 of Pascagoula, Miss. died June 3, 2002 in Pascagoula, Miss. She was born icon on August 25, 1918 in Woolmarket and has been a resident of Pascagoula for the past 50 years. Mrs. Williams was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pascagoula, where she was very active in the Ann Marler Circle and Broken Wings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood A. Williams, two brothers, Robert Edward Allums and James Thomas Allums, and sister Vena Maie Smith.

CLARK
Eran Christine Ryan Clark, 93, of Hattiesburg, Miss., died Aug. 7, 2002, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. A lifelong resident of Forrest County, Miss., Mrs. Clark was a homemaker and a retired cafeteria manager after 25 years with Sacred Heart Catholic School. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

GORDON
Michael Gordon was born icon April 27, 1929, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was received into eternal life on Aug. 6, 2002.

LOVELESS
Dorothy Imogene Loveless, 60, of Grand Bay, Ala., born icon Aug. 17, 1941, in Haleyville, Ala., died Aug. 8, 2002, in Grand Bay. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Grand Bay, and a homemaker.

WILLOUGHBY
Harvey Willoughby, 73, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Wednesday August 7, 2002, in Pascagoula. He was born icon in Kentucky on November 3, 1928. He has been a resident of Jackson County since 1968. He was a retired Sr. Chief of the United States Navy and from Ingalls Shipbuilding. Mr. Willoughby was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pascagoula. He was an avid bowler and fisherman, who loved the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Bethel Willoughby, two brothers Willie and Frankie Willoughby.
