ULAN
Mr. Donald Ulan, 67, of Wade, Miss., died Monday, March 24, 2003, in Little Rock, Ark. He was born icon Oct. 21, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y. Mr. Ulan was an insurance broker with International Specialty Underwriters in Moss Point.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. Harry and Mrs. Flo Mauldin Ulanoff.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Warden Ulan of Wade; a son, Marc Ulan of Old Saybrook, Conn.; three daughters and a son-in-law, Lauren and Steve Cryan of Old Saybrook, Conn., and Tonya and Lucy Ulan, both of Wade; two brothers, Stan Ulan of Houston, Texas, and Marvin Ulanoff of Denver, Colo.; mother-in-law, Lilly Warden of Pascagoula; brother-in-law, Terry Warden of Agricola; two sisters-in-law, Sheila Soles and Betty Jo Taylor both of Escatawpa; special family, Vickie and Issac Denton, Mack and Sandra Adams, and Jerry and Sharell Warden, all of Wade; and a special thank you to all of the nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends for the many prayers and for all of the kindness shown.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 27, at 10 a.m., from Johnson cemetery in Wade with the Rev. Bill Barton officiating.

DORE'
Dr. Donald Edward Dore', 72, of Pascagoula died Saturday, March 22, 2003, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, Miss.
He was born icon April 28, 1930, in New Orleans, La. and has been a resident of Pascagoula since 1965. He attended Central High School in Jackson, Miss. and served in the U.S. Navy. He attended Tulane University and Louisiana State University as an undergraduate where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He graduated from LSU School of Medicine in 1956 and completed his residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans.
Dr. Dore' became a member of the American Board of Pathology in 1963 and was elected Fellow of College of American Pathologists in Oct. 1967.
Dr. Dore' played a vital part in establishing the Lab Department of Singing River Hospital in the mid-'60s. He served as LCDR, M.C., USNR in Charleston, S.C. for two years. He served as Pathologist at University Medical Center of Georgia in Macon from 1964-1965. Dr. Dore' served as pathologist at Singing River Hospital from June 1965 to March 2003. He served as chief of staff at Singing River Hospital in the early seventies. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pascagoula. Dr. Dore' was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Edward Dore', Sr. Lena Mai Miller Dore', sister, Leumel Marguerite Dore' Boland.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Miriam Kathleen "Kathy" Hudson Dore', Pascagoula; two daughters and one son, Kitty Kristine Dore' Boland (John), Mobile, Ala.; Melissa Leumel Dore', Mobile, Ala.; Donald Edward Dore' II (Liz), Pass Christian, Miss.; three grandchildren, Lillian Kathleen Boland, John Oliver Boland and Rosemary Olivia Boland, all of Mobile, Ala.
Visitation was Monday, March 24, 2003, 6-8 p.m., at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula, Miss.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 25, 2003, 10 a.m., at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula, Miss., with Rev. Dennis Ray Smith officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Dr. Dennis Magee, Bobby Laney, Gary Holand, Dr. Sid Eudy, Dr. Paul Moore Sr. and John Stanford Boland. Interment will be at Machpelah cemetery, Pascagoula, Miss.
Memorials may be made to Singing River Charitable Foundation, Hospice of Light Patient Fund, 2101 Hwy. 90, Gautier, Miss. 39553.

BYRD
Jenny Kennedy Goff Byrd, born icon Dec. 3, 1918, in Jackson County, Miss., died Wednesday, June 5, 2003. She was 84.
Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her two husbands, Quincy Goff (1958), and George W. Byrd (1999); and a grandson, Gary Allen (1993).
She is survived by her daughter, Melba Goff Allen of Trussville, Ala.; three grandchildren, Herbert "Herbie" Allen of Pascagoula, DeAnn May of Trussville, Ala., and Michael "Buck" Allen of Wade; nine great-grandchildren; and four great, great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Barbara Tanner and to the Adkison family for all of the love and care given.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 6, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jim Fisher officiating.
Interment will be at Johnson cemetery in Wade.

COMANS
Kenneth Lee Comans Sr., 41, of Pascagoula, Miss., died June 3, 2003, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born icon Jan. 12, 1962. He was a lifelong resident of Pascagoula, an Atlanta Braves fan and loved life to the fullest. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and collecting antiques.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Victoria Lynn Comans; and grandparents, John L. and Susan Comans and Guy and Jenny Carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Comans, Moss Point, Miss.; father; Robert Comans, Walnut Grove, Miss.; mother, Rebecca Comans, Moss Point; son, Kenneth L. Comans, Jr., Moss Point; stepsons, Winstead Darnell, Hurley, Miss., Kenneth Jeremy Holder, Gautier, Miss., Curt Holder (Laura), Gautier; brother, Robert Anthony Comans, Pascagoula; sisters, Susan Loretta Vice (David), Hurley, Joni Gaye Dubose (Billy), Tennessee, Rebecca Ann Barley (David), Vancleave, Miss., Misty Jeanette Comans, Pascagoula; one step-grandchild, Savannah Lynn Holder; nieces and nephews, David J., Wendy C., and Seth L. Vice, Monica and Andrea Comans, Bobby Comans, Michael Demingas, Jamie F. Davis and Billy G. Dubose Jr.; one nephew he considered like a son, Jeffery T. Lunney.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 6, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the funeral home chapel with a two hour visitation prior to the service. Interment will be in Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa, Miss.

QUINN
Michael Brian Quinn, 37, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died May 27, 2003, in Fallujah, Iraq. He was born icon March 25, 1966, He was a 1984 graduate of Line Mountain High School in Hearndon, Pa.
He then enlisted in the U.S. Army. Before re-enlisting in 1996, he attended the University of Southern Florida and had lived for a period of time in Ocean Springs.
At the time of his death, he was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army serving in the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort Carson, Colo.
He was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, and Fort Campbell in Kentucky, before being transferred to Fort Carson a year ago. While at Fort Campbell, he served a year of remote duty in Korea.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer Quinn.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Palmer Quinn of Colorado Springs; a son, Timothy Michael Quinn of Colorado Springs; mother and stepfather, Chuck and Sally Taylor of Inglis, Fla.; mother and father-in-law, Tim and Kathi Sweeney of Yamhill, Oregon; sister-in-law, Garnet Palmer of Beaverton, Oregon; brother-in-law, David Palmer of Corpus Christi, Texas; and grandparents-in-law, Edsel and Mary Ruddiman of Ocean Springs.
A memorial service with full military honors will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2003, on the front lawn of Dave and Mary Jensen's home, 315 Front Beach Drive, Ocean Springs.
The Rev. Bruno Schroeder will officiate at the service. A private reception will follow at the home of Edsel and Mary Ruddiman in Ocean Springs.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the building fund of the Ocean Springs unit of the Jackson County Boys & Girls Club, P.O. Box 8522, Moss Point, Miss. 39562.

WHITE
Mr. Marvin L. White Sr., 83, of Moss Point, Miss., died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at his home in Moss Point.
Mr. White was born icon March 7, 1920, in the Deadlake community of Jackson County, Miss.
He was retired from International Paper where he worked as a crane operator. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Moss Point and a World War II Army veteran. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dorsett White.
Survivors include one son, Marvin L. White Jr., Jackson, Miss.; two daughters, Addye W. (Bill) Robertson, Moss Point, and Paulette White, Jackson, Miss.; one sister, Mildred Breland, Pascagoula, Miss.; four grandchildren, Rusty (Allyson) Robertson, Sidney Robertson, Mary Beth (Peter) Henderson and Paul Robertson all of Moss Point; and one great-grandson, Dalton Henderson, also of Moss Point.
Visitation was from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa, Miss.
Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. today, Friday, June 6, from First Baptist Church in Moss Point, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Woodlawn cemetery in Wiggins, Miss.

CATRETT
Walter Mack Catrett, 80, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born icon January 9, 1923, in Luverne, Ala. and has been a resident of Pascagoula for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Gunner's Mate. He retired from Chevron as a head operator. Mr. Catrett was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

PRIVETT
John Thomas Privett, 22, died Saturday, May 31, 2003, in McComb, Miss. He was born icon September 26, 1980, in Pascagoula, Miss., and was a member of The First Baptist Church Of Gautier. He graduated from Gautier High School in 1999 where he had been a member of the Key Club, Beta Club, Art Club, Spanish Club, and was also on the National Honors Society. After high school, he attended MGCCC and The University of Southern Mississippi. He planned to return to college in the fall in pre-dental studies. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ida Mae Newton, Hollandale, Miss., and Mable Rutledge Martell, Thomasville, Ala.
Survivors include his parents, John E. Privett and Sharon N. Privett, Gautier, Miss.; two sisters; Jana Nicole Privett, Meribeth Privett, Gautier; aunts and uncles, Andy and Linda Privett-Bearden, Billy L. and Sue Newton, Terry E. and Wanda Newton, John Wayne Newton, Sharon Newton; grandfathers, John Thomas Newton, Hollandale, Miss., William W. Martell, Thomasville, Ala.; Peggy Brett, who was like a grandmother to John; godparents, Terry and Deborah Winnett, Pascagoula, Miss.; numerous other relatives and friends.
John Thomas was a loving, compassionate, fun loving son. He will be missed by a host of relatives and friends, especially by his loving soul mate, Courtney Anne McCanlis.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 5, from 6-9 p.m., at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.
Funeral service will be Friday, June 6, 11 a.m., at the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Jackson County Memorial Park, Pascagoula, Miss.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Howell, Brad Smallwood, Michael Wilkerson, Brandon Pierport, Jimmy Bains, Patrick Robbins, and Chuck Fulthum.

DICKERSON
Ms. Larcy W. Dickerson, 73, of Moss Point, Miss., was born icon Oct. 4, 1929, in Tunnel Springs, Ala. Ms. Dickerson died Saturday, May 31, 2003, in Pascagoula, Miss.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 6, at Millender's Funeral Home Chapel in Moss Point. Interment will be in Biloxi National cemetery, Biloxi, Miss.
