April 10, 2003, in Brookhaven, Miss. She was a homemaker, a member of Mount Zion Church of Christ in Brookhaven.

Ruth Elaine Knickerbocker, 59, of Gautier, Miss., died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at Ocean Springs Hospital in Ocean Springs, Miss. She was of the Methodist faith.
WALLACE
Mrs. Ella Ree May Wallace, 87, of Moss Point, Miss., died Nov. 27, 2003, at her residence. She was born
Sept. 22, 1916, in Simpson County, Miss. Mrs. Wallace was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pascagoula and had retired from the electrical department at Ingalls Shipbuilding. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Thomas and Fannie May, and husband, Vilous Milford Wallace.

Mr. James (Jim) Hite Bonniwell, 69, of Hurley, Miss., died Dec. 1, 2003, in Hurley. He was born
on Aug. 19, 1934, in Hacks Neck, Va. Mr. Bonniwell is a Korean War Navy veteran. Mr. Bonniwell was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Agnes Bonniwell; son, Tommy Bonniwell; and a daughter, Faye Gunn.
GREGORY
Almeree Gregory, 83, of Vancleave Miss., died Nov. 30, 2003, in Vancleave. She was born
Sept. 24, 1920, in Ovett Miss. She was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church of Vancleave and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, I.V. Gregory; parents, Luther and Corty Campbell; and a brother, Douglas Gregory.

Moritz Theodore Hoffman, a former merchant marine, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at his home, at the age of 73. Mr. Hoffman was a native of Stan Creek, Belize and a resident of Moss Pint, Miss. He was a member of the IBEW for 40-plus years.
MCCULLEY
Mr. Meredith Hardy McCulley, 85, of Moss Point, Miss., born
Jan. 28, 1918, in Carrollton, Ala., died Nov. 29, 2003, in Pascagoula, Miss. Mr. McCulley was a retired pipefitter from Ingalls. He was a member of Helena Presbyterian Church, and also a member of Pipefitters Local 436. He was preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters; and a great-grandson.

Erma Nell Smith, 53, was born
July 19, 1950, to the late Clarence Smith of Monticello, Miss. and Ouida Garner Smith of Pascagoula, Miss. She departed this life on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at Ocean Springs Nursing Center in Ocean Spring, Miss.

Ronald Padgett, 67, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, in Hurley. Arrangements are incomplete by Holder- Wells Funeral Home of Moss Point.
BAKER
Larue Peggy Baker, 90 of Gautier, Miss. died Nov. 28, 2003, at her residence. She was born
June 19, 1913, in Ridgeway, Texas. Mrs. Baker was a homemaker and beautician. Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Vernie Radican, husband, Leopold W. Baker.
BIRD
Robert Reginald "Reggie" Bird, 64 died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born
February 2, 1939, in Pascagoula and has been a life- long resident. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pascagoula. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding as an Engineer and was affiliated with Bird and Associates. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Jewel Bird and Exa Cockcroft Bird.

Alma Jeraldine Day, age 73, died Friday Nov. 28, 2003 in Wiggins, Miss. Mrs. Day was a resident of Vancleave, Miss., a homemaker and a member of Pine Lake Baptist Church in Vancleave.
MEEK
Eva (King) Meek, 95, of Pascagoula, Miss. died Nov. 26, 2003, at her residence. She was born
Dec. 28, 1903 in Memphis, Tennessee. She has lived in Big Point since 1970. Mrs. Meek was a member of Temple Baptist Church where she served as the church librarian. She was a homemaker and former member at First Baptist Church of Moss Point. Mrs. Meek was preceded in death by her parents, P.B. and Clare King, husband, Willis Charles Meek Sr.; daughter-in-law, Ann Wallace Meek; brothers, Debs King and Marvin King and sister, Nellie Finger.
PEACOCK
Barbara Neoma Peacock, 81 of Gautier, Miss. died Nov. 26, 2003, in Biloxi, Miss. She was born
Oct. 2, 1922 in Ballinger, Texas. Mrs. Peacock was a member of First Baptist Church of Gautier and the Kyso Homemakers Club for several years. In her years in California prior to moving to Gautier with her husband Alec, who was supervisor in the Chevron Refinery tank field she was a secretary in Livermore Labs of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Alexander and Jewell Pairish and husband, Alec D. Peacock; sister, Althea Inez Eckerman,; brothers, Ira Pairish and Hubert Pairish; several other brothers and sisters.
STOKLEY
Janie Lou Cronier Seals Stokley passed away peacefully to be with her Lord Saturday Nov. 29, 2003, at her residence in Big Point, Miss. She was born
in Pascagoula, Miss. on Dec. 20, 1940, to Sidney and Gwendolyn Cronier. She was a devoted and faithful member of Full Life Assembly of God Church in Hurley where she served many years as a Sunday School teacher and teacher of the Rainbows and Daisies.
BARTON
Edwin Manchester Barton Jr., 71, died Saturday Feb. 13, 2004. Mr. Barton was born
Dec. 28, 1932, in Pascagoula, Miss. and had remained a lifelong resident. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Ronoake. He was a graduate of Our Lady of Victories Catholic School and a member of Our Lady of Victories Church. Mr. Barton had served as a fireman with the Pascagoula Fire Department and was a member of V.F.W. Post 3373 and past senior vice commander. He was a member of the Military Order of the Cooties and a member of the Krewe of Niord having served as the grand marshal of the 1999 Jackson County Carnival Association Mardi Gras Parade. He enjoyed wood carving, boating, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Addie Smith Pittman and step-father Dale A. Pittman.
HARRISON
Mose Ella "Ms. Sugar" Harrison, 92, of Pascagoula, Miss., died on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula. She was one of three surviving siblings from an original group of 23. She was the seventh child born
to the late Mose and Ammie Brown. The two remaining siblings are Newburger Brown of Bruce, Miss., and Cleveland Brown of Marion, Ind. Mrs. Harrison was born
and raised in Holcomb, Miss. and had lived in Pascagoula for the past 15 years. She had lived most of her life in Holcomb with her husband Rev. Melton Harrison, who preceded her in death Nov. 18, 1997. Mrs. Harrison was also preceded in death by two sons, William Grant Harrison and Mose Junior Harrison.
MURPHY
Mr. Walter Neil Murphy Sr., 89, of Vancleave, Miss., died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, in Ocean Springs, Miss. Mr. Murphy was a native of Vancleave and a resident of Grenada, Miss., for 30 years. He retired from Gulf Oil Co., after 26 years of service. Mr. Murphy was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during World War II, where he served in the South Pacific. He was a 1932 graduate of Vancleave High School and a 1938 graduate of Mississippi State University. Mr. Murphy was a member of Vancleave United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Viola Murphy and eight brothers and sisters.
