Visitation will be Wednesday, December 4, 2002, from 10-11 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Lucedale with funeral services immediately following in the church.
Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Church cemetery in Lucedale. Arrangements by Cook-Galloway Funeral Home, Lucedale.

SPITTLER
John Joseph Erik Spittler III, 27, of Ocean Springs, Miss., died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, at his home in Ocean Springs. He was born icon Oct. 6, 1975 in Coral Gables, Fla. He was employed as a chef for Mary Mahoney's in Biloxi, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, J.H. (Buddy) and Rachel Faggard; paternal great grandparents, Rev. E.W. and Maye Scott; great uncles, Gen. Earl E. Brannon, M.D., and Charles Brannon, and his beloved "Juliette, " Erin.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Teresa Scott (Rodkey) Roberts, Gautier, Miss.; his father and stepmother, John J. Spittler (Maria) Jr., Miami; two sisters, Kelly Leigh (Andrew) Brandon and Johnae Spittler, both of Miami; grandparents, Bernice and C.H. "Buddy" Sharp, Gautier, Miss., Luther and Roberta Scott, Saucier, Miss., John J. and Mary Jane Spittler, Sr., Chattanooga, Tenn.; aunts and uncles, Regina Scott Wrigley, Saucier, Allyson (Stephen) Blakeney, Laurel, Miss., Cathy Diane Smith, Miami, Sharlee (Mercer) Parrot, Atlanta, Ga., James E. Spittler, Sr., Mary Jane and William Fruetel, Anderson, S.C., Cozette (Dr. Allen) Mitchell, Chattanooga; nine cousins, Jaklyn Leigh and Karli Nicole (Nikki) Wrigley, Ocean Springs, James E. Spittler Jr., Atlanta, GA., Dr. J.B., Casey and Allison Mitchell, Chattanooga; Charles and Douglas Fruetel, Dublin, Ohio, and Hal Vaughn III, Gautier, Miss., and dear friend, Jennifer Gallaspy and Noah.
Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, from 5-7 p.m. at Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa, Miss.
Funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with Father Patrick Hayes officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service.
Burial will be at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Trussell, Atlanta, Ga., Seth Trussell, Atlanta, Ga., Rob Gardia, Pascagoula, Miss., Rob Veara, Pascagoula, Hal Vaughn III, Gautier, Clay Snuggs, Gautier, Chris Casullo, Gautier and John Gaddis of Pascagoula.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Fruetel, Dr. J.B. Mitchell, Casey Mitchell and James E. Spittler Jr.

HAVENS
Irma Louise Daffin Havens, 90, of Twin Falls, passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at her home in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was born icon April 30, 1912, in Benndale, Mississippi, the daughter of Albert Bruce Daffin and Winnie Louise Hartzog Daffin. When she was 11, her mother died and this influenced her decision to become a nurse. After graduating from Vancleave, Mississippi High School, she entered the School of Nursing at Southern Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, La., and became an RN in 1934.
She married icon Yeul Harmon Havens on July 13, 1935, in New Orleans, La., a union which lasted 52 years until Harmon's death in 1988. After World War II she and Harmon settled in Meridian, Miss., until 1956 when they transferred to Jackson, Miss. Due to health problems, she moved to the West in 1958, eventually settling in Tucson, Ariz., where she lived for the next 28 years. In 1989, she moved to Twin Falls to be near her daughter. She worked as a public health nurse, which she especially enjoyed, during and after the war. She also did hospital nursing in New Orleans, El Paso, and Tucson. Irma was an excellent cook, enjoyed working in her flower garden, and spent many enjoyable hours fishing. Mrs. Havens was a member of the United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by two children, Irma Lou Stanersen (Lewis) of Twin Falls, Yeul Harmon "Ty" Havens, Jr. (Darlene) of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Scott, Brad, Sonja, and Evelyn; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and by one sister, Inez Erikson of Paris, Tenn. In addition to her husband, Harmon, she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Vancleave, Miss., on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 11 a.m.

CHAPPELL
Donald (T.C.) Wayne Chappell of Luling, La., died Nov. 18, 2002, the beloved son of Naomi Louise Cook Chappell and the late Jewel (Bull) E. Chappell; father of Brian Wayne Chappell, Sr., Steven Todd Chappell, Stephanie Leigh Chappell Cuny and Courtney Rene Chappell; brother of Rex Chappell; father-in-law of Sonya Comardelle Chappell and Antonio Joseph Cuny; grandfather of Brian Wayne Chappell, Jr., Brittany Elizabeth Chappell, Callie Leigh Chappell, Alexis Jewells Chappell, Amber Paige Chappell, Zachary Graham Cuny, Jacob Griffin Cuny, Benjamin Edward Louis Cuny, Chad Jesse Dufrene and Josey Katelynn Dufrene; uncle of Amy Pardon; and great uncle of Donna Paige Watts
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the Chapel of Westside, Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, La., on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m.
Interment will be private.
Visitation will be at Westside, Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

WHITEHEAD
Eleanor Bush Whitehead, 68, was born, Aug. 25, 1934, in Pascagoula, Miss.; wife, mother and friend went to her Father's home Nov. 21, 2002. Mrs. Whitehead was a member of Four Mile Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by parents Bill and Bessie Bush; one brother, Billy Bush; one sister, Dola Douglas; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Andrew and Virgie Whitehead and a daughter-in-law, Myra Allison.
Survivors include Kenneth Whitehead, her husband; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Danny (Jill) Whitehead; a son, Wayne Whitehead; daughter Debbie Rojas and a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony (Michelle) Whitehead; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bessie (Oliver) Yager, Bertie (Calvin) Miller, Betty (Harvey) Breland, Ina Rae (Gene) Grubbs, Linda Bush and Janie Bush; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles (Sherril) Bush, Tommy Bush; grandchildren Richard Whitehead, Allyson Frisard, Laura Giddens, Greta Giddens, Noah Giddens, Gyneth Giddens, Allen-Wayne Whitehead, Micheal Whitehead, Jessica Goss, Jason Wilson, Drew Wilson and Natasha; three great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be Monday Nov. 25, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Holder Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Brill officiating.
Friends may call one hour before services at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Machpelah cemetery in Pascagoula.
Pallbearers will be Carl Dudley, James Mathews, Jack Harrell, David Lowery, Mitchell Long and Pete' Harrell.
Holder Wells in charge of arrangements.

Marousky
Christian Nicole Marousky, age 3, of Livingston, Alabama went to be with the Lord on His day, Sunday, Nov. 10th. Services were held on Thursday, Nov. 14th at Gallion Baptist Church, Gallion, Alabama, with burial in Demopolis Memorial Gardens.
Chris will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Robert T. and Summar Marousky Jr., and her sister, Chloe Rayne Marousky of Livingston, Ala.; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Sammons of Demopolis Ala., and Dr. and Mrs. Robert T. (Cathy) Marousky of Ocean Springs, Miss., along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

EPTING
Hattie Bell Delcomyn Epting, 92, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, in Pascagoula.
She was born icon Oct. 22, 1910, and had been a lifelong resident of Pascagoula.
Mrs. Epting was the owner of Epting-Delcomyn Florist originally on Krebs Avenue in Pascagoula.
Formerly Delcomyn Hardware and Gifts, the florist is presently Epting-Delcomyn Florist in the Three Rivers Community. Mrs. Epting was the first youth director at First United Methodist Church in Pascagoula, member and officer of U.M.W. for many years.
She was a charter member of the Business and Professional Women Organization, charter member of Downtown Merchants Association, member of Eastern Star in Pascagoula, active member of Caswell Springs United Methodist Church and active former member of First United Methodist Church in Pascagoula.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James M. Epting Sr; parents, Albert and Elizabeth Delcomyn; stepmother, Willie Howell Delcomyn; sister, Mae Delcomyn Humphreys; five brothers, Carl Delcomyn, Emile Delcomyn, Roy Delcomyn, Albert Delcomyn and Lloyd Delcomyn.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James M. Epting, Jr. (Linda), Pascagoula; three granddaughters, Kim Epting Phillips (Tim), Oxford, Miss.; Leigh Ann Epting Goff (Stacey), Monroe, La.; Alison Epting Ainsworth (Kyle), Ridgeland, Miss.; three great-grandchildren, James Pittman Phillips, Margaret Ellis Epting Goff and Mamie Boyd Ainsworth; one sister, Olga Delcomyn Yingling, Herndon, Va.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, 6-8 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.
Funeral service will be Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at 10 a.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home with Rev. M.L. McCormick, Rev. Jim Fisher and Rev. Bruce Little officiating.

Winnie Graham Greenough, 90, born icon Nov. 4, 1912, in Escatawpa, Miss., died Nov. 25, 2002, in Moss Point, Miss. She was a member of Safe Harbor Methodist Church in Moss Point, and a lifelong resident of Escatawpa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxwell Max Greenough; her parents, Henry and Effie Graham; and one sister, Melva Walker.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Earl and Margie Greenough, Gautier, Miss.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Clint Gill, Hattiesburg, Miss., Sandy and Glenn Hulbert, Escatawpa; brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Shirley Graham, Escatawpa; sister, Gladys Grierson, Escatawpa; sisters and brothers-in-law, Grace and Elwood DeAngelo, Escatawpa, Marie and Glin Colvin, Escatawpa; sister, Dot Pierce, Escatawpa; grandchildren, Cindy and Ronnie Benson, Steve Greenough, Mark and Susan Greenough, Robin and Carrie Gill, Angie and Brent Powell, Amy and Brad McGraw, Wendy and Craig Bailey, Connie and Allen Goff, Holly and Shane Mixon; 18 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, at 10 a.m., with one hour visitation prior to service at Safe Harbor Methodist Church in Escatawpa. The Rev. Gene Vance will officiate service.
Burial will follow at Machpelah cemetery in Pascagoula.
Pallbearers will be Allen Goff, Shane Mixon, Craig Bailey, Brad McGraw, Brent Powell and Ronnie Benson.

CARLISLE
Joe E. Carlisle, 71, passed way at a healthcare facility in Pascagoula, Miss., on Nov. 23, 2002. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 89 in Mobile for over 35 years. He was a member of Howard E. Palmes #917 F&AM for over 15 years and was recognized as a Master Mason. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Martha June Carlisle.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Helen E. Carlisle; three daughters, Jo Ann (George) Kountz, Paula Hollis, and Amy (Samuel) Perez; three sons, Sammy (Elease) Carlisle, Jerry A. (Janie) McKay, and Lee Carl Green; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from Serenity Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. Services will be held from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.

BOYKIN
Matthew Boykin, 77, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, in Pascagoula.
He was born icon October 16, 1925, in Mobile, Ala., and has been a resident of Pascagoula since 1958.
He retired from International Paper in 1985, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Pascagoula. He was a member of various organization and clubs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew Andrew Boykin and Catherine Van Antwerp Boykin.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Jim Williams Boykin, Pascagoula; son and daughter-in-law, M.A. "Andy" Boykin (Bobbie), Gautier; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth "Betsy" VanAntwerp Forster (Hugh), Melbourne, Australia; Suzanne "Suzie" Boykin Cottrell (Mike), Marietta, Ga.; two sisters, Betty Walker, Anne Howard (Alex), both of Mobile, Ala.; five grandchildren, Matt Boykin, Chris Cottrell, Jon Cottrell, Catherine Forster, and Suzanne Forster; two great-grandsons, Daniel Cottrell and Matthew Forster. He will be missed by his faithful companions, Jack Jr., J.T., and Boots. He will also be missed by his lifelong friends and associates.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 27, 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m., at First Baptist Church in Pascagoula.
Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with Dr. Rex Yancey, the Rev. Dennis Ray Smith, the Rev. Gary Anglin and Dr. Harold T. Bryson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Music Ministry or a charity of your choice.
Pallbearers will be Matt Boykin, Chris Cottrell, Jon Cottrell, Wallace Devers, Phil Sims, and Francis Campbell.
Interment will be in Machpelah cemetery, Pascagoula.
