LEDOUX
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at a 3 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Bethany Chapel for Sister Winifred LeDoux, MHS, age 90, who died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003 at 6:10 p.m., in the Bethany MHS Health Care Center.
Interment will be in the Calvary cemetery.
The Rev. Msgr. Charles Mallet will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the services.
Survivors include one brother, Francis LeDoux of Baton Rouge; one sister, Capitola Melville of New Orleans; four nieces, Bobbie Gill of Denham Springs, Vivian Barr of Gautier, Miss., Laura Meyers of Mandeville and Elizabeth LeDoux of Baton Rouge; and seven nephews, David Kershaw of Mandeville, Tom Kershaw of San Francisco, Calif.; Robert Kershaw of Virginia, Newton Kershaw of New Hampshire, C. G. Melville of New Orleans and Charles LeDoux and Frankie LeDoux, both of Baton Rouge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August G. and Laura Pellerin LeDoux; one brother, Guy LeDoux; and four sisters, Elsie LeDoux, Enola McArn,
Vivian Scholley and Clare Kershaw.
Sister Winifred attended St. Joseph School in Baton Rouge and graduated from Annunciation High School in New Orleans.
She entered the Most Holy Sacrament Convent in Lafayette on Sept. 15, 1935 and made her final vows on August 15, 1940.
Sister Winifred served in various capacities at the Mother house in Lafayette including sacristan, receptionist at the Clement Hall administration building and also in the altar bread department.
She also served as Eucharistic Minister to the sick and elderly in Our Lady of Fatima Parish for 12 years.
Her teaching assignments over 35 years included schools in Pensacola, Fla. and Pascagoula, Miss., as well as in Gretna, New Orleans, Breaux Bridge, Crowley, Pineville and Gonzales, all in Louisiana.
After her retirement in 1990, Sister Winifred spent her time in prayer, embroidering pillow cases, tablecloths, scarfs and helping with household chores. In June of 1995, she moved to Bethany MHS Health Care Center where she kept busy with her embroidery, visiting with residents and being a cheerful presence to everyone.
Visiting hours will be observed at the Bethany Chapel on Tuesday, from 9 a.m., until time of services.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Sister Winifred's name may be made to the Sisters of the Most Holy Sacrament Retirement Fund, P.O. Box 90037, Lafayette, La. 70509.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Martin and Castille Funeral Home, Inc. of Lafayette, 337-234-2311.

LONG
Mildred Marie "Spoonie" Long, 64, of Wade died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at her home with her four beloved children.
She was born icon in Jackson County on April 8, 1938, and was the bookkeeper for Sheriff Mike Byrd. She was a member of Caswell Springs United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Noll and Verna Braxton; her husband, Charles C. Long; and her grandson, Jared Long.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Mitchell and Nita Long of Wade and Allen and Stephanie Long of Gautier; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Chuck McQueen of Wade and Charrie and Steve McQueen of Wade; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy, Jennifer, Cory, Dusty and Tiffany Long, Pete Bains, Adam and Shanna, Stevie and Sterlin McQueen; one great-grandchild, Blaise Long; and so many other family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, from 6-9 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at 10 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jim Fisher and the Rev. H.W. Parker officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson cemetery.

CANAMORE
Mr. Kenneth Dale Canamore, a native of Blytheville, Ark., and a lifelong resident of the Mobile area, died in a local hospital on Wednesday, February 19, 2003. Mr. Canamore was a 30 year employee of Ingalls Shipbuilding Company and a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his father, Ira Elvis Canamore and is survived by his wife, Henrietta Rigney-Canamore, Moss Point, Miss.; two sons, Keith Canamore and Bill Canamore, both of Mobile, Ala.; mother, Loretta Canamore-Matson, Mobile, Ala.; stepfather, William Matson, Mobile; three sisters, Carol McMichael, Mobile, Jeanette Miller, Grand Bay, and Catherine Turner, Mobile; three brothers, Calvin Canamore, Bishop, Texas, Sammy Canamore, Irvington, Ala. and Steve Canamore, Decatur, Ala.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Sis. Irene "Skeet" Rogers Davis was born icon on October 7, 1938 to the union of Leroy and Pearly Lee Rogers in Irvington, Ala.
She joined Freewater Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and renewed her membership in 2003.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie LaQuin Davis, devoted companion, Lloyd Gipson; parents Leroy & Pearly Lee Rogers; adopted parents, Peter and Inez Hayden; brother Charles Rogers; sister-in-law, Anna Davis and mother-in-law, Ella Mae Davis.
Sis. Davis leaves to cherish her memories, four daughters and one son,
Pearlene (Gilbert) Gildersleeve, Willie Marie Gamble both of Pascagoula, Miss., Karen Annette (Michael) Hurt, Detroit, Mich., Allen LaFont Davis, San Francisco, and Monica Gipson, Pascagoula, Miss.; four brothers, Stanley (Marie) Rogers, Moss Point, Miss., Leroy Rogers, Jr., New Orleans, Alfred Rogers, Walker (Dorothy) Rogers both of Grand Bay, Ala.; three sisters, Audrey Holloway, Pascagoula, Miss., Ramona (Tex) Coleman, Irvington, Ala., and Jean Phalo, Mobile, Ala.; eight grand children, five great- grand children, two devoted sisters-in-law, Minnie L. Dixon, Moss Point, Miss., and Johnnie Mae (Bill) Coleman, Irvington, Ala.; one brother-in-law, James (Louise) Davis, Irvington, Ala.; in-laws, Joseph Hayden and Claudia Williams; two devoted friends, Willie Smith and Narsico Sanchez and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Service will begin promptly at 11 a.m. from the church.
Interment will be in Oddfellow cemetery, Irvington, Ala.

MILLER
Mr. Charles Ray Miller, 71, a retired Pascagoula policeman, died February 20, 2003, at his residence in Prentiss, Miss. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wesley and Annie Cothran Miller; and two brothers, Thomas Miller and Mearl Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Miller of Prentiss; three sons, Randy Miller of Prentiss, Charles Miller of Carson, and Jimmy Miller of Moss Point; one daughter, Judy Tucker of Pascagoula; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Franklin Miller of Vancleave; two sisters, Frances McQueen of Escatawpa, and Louvida Allen of Saraland, Ala.; one half sister, Lottie Goodwin of Mobile.

WHITECLOUD
Thomas S. Whitecloud III, died Tuesday at the age of 62. He was an innovative spinal surgeon and chairman of Tulane University's orthopedics department since 1991. He helped develop a technique to speed healing after disc surgery. He earned his undergraduate degree at Louisiana College and his medical degree at Tulane. Dr. Whitecloud, who was descended from Chippewas, was a past president of the Association of American Indian Physicians. He was former president of the Louisiana Orthopedic Association and the Cervical Spine Research Society, and a board member of the Scoliosis Research Society and the North American Spine Society. He twice received the Russell A. Hibbs Research Award from the Scoliosis Research Society. He was also given the Leon Wiltse Award from the American Spine Society. Dr. Whitecloud was president of the Foundation Board of the Institute of American Indian Arts and a member of the Tulane Caldwell Society, an Orthopedic alumni group.
Survivors include his wife, Mercedes Bordelon Whitecloud; two sons, Thomas "Saint" Whitecloud, IV and Jacques St. Germain Whitecloud, MD; three daughters, Renee St. Germain Whitecloud, Simone St. Germain Whitecloud and Elena St. Germain Whitecloud; a brother, Dennis St. Germain Whitecloud and a sister Karen Germain Whitecloud Raymond.

Ms. Eunice K. Johnson, 54 of Moss Point was born icon September 4, 1956. She was passed away on November 17, 2010 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Refuge of Our Lord Jesus Christ on Community Street, Moss Point, MS; viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Scranton cemetery, Pascagoula, MS.

STANTON
Bro. Red D. Stanton was born icon August 17, 1920, to the union of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hybart Stanton in Peterman, Ala. He was a resident of Moss Point, Miss., for more than 50 years. Bro Red was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marsha Lee Stanton; one son, Floyd Stanton; three sisters, Sarah Scott, Johnnie Mae Stanton, Lillie Ruth Broughton; and one brother, Jessie L. Stanton.
Mr. Red Stanton was a devoted husband and father, as well as a Christian man. He was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Moss Point, until God called him home. He worked for International Paper Company, Moss Point, for many years and until his retirement
He was united in marriage to the late Marshal Lee McMillian Stanton and to this union 12 children were born. He leaves to cherish his memories six daughters: Willie Mae (Aubrey) Miles, Gulfport, Miss., Minnie (Rodney) Robinson, St. Elmo, Ala., Sandra (Ernest) Jones, Moss Point, Miss., Jacqueline (Chico) Holloway, Escatawpa, Miss., Ruby (Charles) Martin, Grove Hill, Ala., Angela (Larry) Hinex, Valdosta, Ga.; five sons, Bill (Rose) Stanton, Jackson, Miss., Charles Clark, Fairhope, Ala., Eddie (Helen) Stanton, Carl Stanton, Moss Point, Miss., and Al (Valerie) Stanton, Gautier, Miss.; one brother, Lawyer (Grace) Stanton, Pensacola, Fla.; one sister, Ophelia Maddox, Mobile, Ala.; one sister-in-law, Christian Stanton, Milton, Fla. He has 44 grandchildren, a devoted grandchild, Toya Stanton, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Stanton will be Saturday, February 22, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church 5425 Grierson Street, Moss Point, at 1 p.m. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Interment will be in Machpelah cemetery, Pascagoula, Miss.

Rita Sallis
Ms. Rita Diane Sallis, 44 of Pascagoula, MS passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in Singing River Hospital. Ms. Sallis was born icon February 27, 1965 in Pascagoula, where she was a lifelong resident. She was born icon to Minnie Lee Hall and raised by Lilly and Price Sallis.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lilly and Price Sallis; brother, Joe Gammage, Jr. and nephew, Adrian Sallis. She worked as a certified nurses assistant and later became employed at Northrop Grumman for 10 years, until her illness. She was a devoted and faithful member of Union Baptist Church.
Rita leaves to cherish her memories to one daughter, Erica (Dedrick) Phillips, Honolulu, HI; one son, Keith Huckleby, Pascagoula, MS; mother, Minnie Lee Hall, Mobile, AL; one uncle, Ellis (Anne) Douglas, Grand Bay, AL; four brothers, Eillis (Felicia) Sallis, Pascagoula, MS, Xavier Brown, Mobile, AL, Quincy Brown and Quinton Brown of Grandbay, AL; four sisters, Theresa (William) Pittman, Dee Dee Haley, Gautier, MS, Tiwanna Brown, Latheresa Brown, April (Shermaine) Brown-Hall and Latoria, Brown all of Mobile, AL. ZINNIMON
Mr. George Lee Zinnimon born icon November 4, 1939, in Pinehill, Ala., to the late J.C. and Emma Zinnimon.
He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church of Pinehill, Ala.
He died February 19, 2003, at his residence.
He moved to Moss Point in 1958, and became a member of Little Rock Baptist Church in 1982.
He was a graduate of Magnolia High School, Class of 1960.
He worked at B.V.D. Industry, Miller Nor Cleaners, City of Moss Point, and Northrop Grumman (Ingalls) Shipbuilding until he retired after 37 1, 2 years.
He was very active going to church and being around the young kids doing whatever he could to make you smile.
Never one to sit around and do nothing.
In his younger age he sang with quartets, playing the harmonica, but most of all he loved to sing.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, April Zinnimon; three brothers, D.L. Zinnimon, J.C. Zinnimon, Jr., Jimmy Lee Zinnimon; one sister, Vera Mae Jackson.
He leaves to cherish a very loving and devoted wife for only God knows that with the strength that he gave her that she could do as well as a job as she did with love, Dorotha Zinnimon of Moss Point; three sons, George Zinnimon, Jr., Ephriam (Romana) Laster, and Patrick (Latonya) Laster all of Moss Point; three daughters, Roberta Willey of Jackson, Miss., Thalia (Alga) Williams, and I'Esha Laster of Moss Point; 15 grandchildren; two god-children; three devoted aunts, Elsie (Jimmie) Stutts, Frisco City, Ala., Annie Mae Broadnax and Eliza (Bell B.) Finklea of Moss Point; two devoted nieces, Betty Jean Jackson, Chicago, Ill. and Darlene Zinnimon, Moss Point; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dewey (Flora) Kennedy and Jane Zinnimon of Moss Point, Joe (Maxine) Carroll, Evergreen, Ala., Nancy (Darrius) Kyser, Mable (Henry) Franklin, Detroit, Mich., Jesse (James) Gill, Richmond, Calif., Dorothy (Mike) Lundy, Ida Nell Jackson, Rosie Carlisle and Nettie (Artist) Williams, Akron, Ohio; and a host of relatives and friends.
