FERRILL
Carl Clifford Ferrill, 84, a resident of Gautier, Miss., died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, in Pascagoula, Miss.
Mr. Ferrill was a native of Enid, Okla., and graduated from high school in Enid. He was a longtime Gulf Coast resident and retired as a senior administrator after 37 years with Amoco Productions. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Ferrill was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Ferrill; parents, Arthur and Viola Ferrill; a brother, Lester Ferrill; and a sister, Ruth Fillebrown.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie G. Ferrill of Gautier, and Richard C. Ferrill and his wife, Jule, of Portland, Ore.; three grandchildren, Arlene Ferrill, Heather Briggs, and LCpl. Tristan Ferrill, USMC; and his loving dog, Patricia Angel Ferrill.
Visitation will be at Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue in Gulfport on Friday, March 21, from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Gardens in Gulfport.

GREEN
Bennie Lee Green, 73, of Clarksdale, Miss., born icon April 10, 1929, in Ruleville, Miss., died March 17, 2003, in Slidell, La.
Mr. Green was a retired operator with Texas Gas Transmission Corp., where he served as shop steward for 12 years and as the AFL-CIO contract negotiator for eight years.
He was a member of Clarksdale Baptist Church, where he was a former Deacon. He was a 32nd Degree Master Mason and a past Rainbow Dad for the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, C'dale Assembly #27.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Wilma Green; and brother, David Green.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Barron Green of Clarksdale; four daughters, Cynthia Faye Bounds of Oxford, Miss., Elizabeth (Betty) Green of Pascagoula, Miss., Linda Ann Smith of Cleveland, Miss., Mary Ellen Green of Pascagoula; one son, Bennie Lee Green, Jr. of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Geraldine Woodward of Memphis, Tenn., Frances Smiley of Greenville, Miss., Kathleen Hale of Water Valley, Miss.; one brother, Eugene Green of Clarksdale; three grandchildren, Constance Green of Tallahassee, Fla., Candace Green of Oxford, Miss., and Cassie Green of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
Visitation was Wednesday, March 19, at National Funeral Home in Clarksdale.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 20, at 2 p.m., from National Funeral Chapel with burial in Memorial Gardens cemetery. The Rev. James Barron was presiding minister.

MAPLES
Leona Burroughs Maples, 80, of Grand Bay, Ala., died March 19, 2003, at her residence.
She was born icon October 22, 1922, in Logtown, Miss. Mrs. Maples was a homemaker and a member of Free Holiness Church in Kreole. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Elizbeth Burroughs; and husband, Simeon Maples.
Survivors include her daughter, Lula Mae Reeves; and son, Charles Maples, both of Grand Bay, Ala.; sisters, Marie Hillard and Margaret Pitts of Grand Bay; brothers, Roland Burroughs of Grand Bay, and Arthur Burroughs of Leaksville, Miss.; granddaughters, Lisa Lindsey of Grand Bay, Pamela Lindsey Lusicic of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Laurie Maples of Pascagoula, Miss.; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 22, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Free Holiness Church in Kreole, Miss.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the church with the Rev. F.A. Ellis officiating.
Interment will be at Machpelah cemetery in Pascagoula, Miss.

SULLIVAN
Billy M. Sullivan, 63, of Moss Point, Miss., died March 19, 2003, at his residence. He was born icon September 30, 1939, in Fairberry, Nebraska, and moved to Mississippi at a very young age. He was raised as a son by Mr. Mack Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Evelyn Simpson Morgan; brother, Donald Meneefee; and nephews, Mack Meneefee and Tim Rainy.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 43 years, Mrs. Barbara L. Sullivan; two sons, Johnny M. Sullivan of Helena, Harold E. Sullivan (Gerald Alexander) of Beaumont, Texas; daughter, Evelyn Delcambre (Keith Delcambre) of Pascagoula; one granddaughter, Heather Ford Griffen (Josh Griffen); one grandson, Jeremy Ford (fiance -- Mellissa Shuster); one sister, Mary S. Johnson of Pascagoula; sister-in-law, Maxine Meneefee of Minneota, Minnesota; one brother, Mike Rainy (Pat Rainy) of Pascagoula; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be Friday, March 21, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Wendell Stork and the Rev. Warren Langworthy officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Branan, Bruce Branan, Gus Miller, Billy Shields, Omar Bradley, Jeff Hammons.
The family prefers donations to Civitans Camp for Retarded Citizens, #2 Bob White Trail, Hattiesburg, MS 39401.

DAVIS
John Henry Davis, 68, of Moss Point, Miss, departed this life Tuesday, March 18, 2003, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born icon April 23, 1934, in Moss Point. Mr. Davis retired from Morton Thiokol in 1997, after 27 years. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1962. Mr. Davis graduated from Magnolia High School in 1954, where he was active in sports for the Magnolia Monarchs.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Those who knew him will miss him dearly.
Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his father and mother, Linwood and Janie Davis (Green); wife, Minnie Bell Davis; two brothers, Linwood and Herbert Davis; and one sister, Janie Price (Davis).
He is survived by one daughter, Jackelyn Richmond (Gustavus); three granddaughters, Navasia and Tristan Mitchell and Bridget Jenkins; one grandson, Marcus Massol; four great-grandsons, Markel Talley, Breland Mitchell, Rodriqcus Davis, Jr. and Demetrius Tate, Jr., all of Moss Point. Also left to cherish his memories are three sisters, Maxine Davis, Betty Costict (Davis) and Maggie Young (Frank), all of Moss Point; a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends; and two devoted friends, Alton Smith and Shelby Tate of Moss Point.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 22, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 3724 Davis Ave., Moss Point.
Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., also from the church with the Rev. Elijah Henry officiating.
Interment will be in St. Paul cemetery, Moss Point.

FORD
Ms. Carolyn Daisy Ford, 60, of Pascagoula, Miss., was born icon June 30, 1942, and departed this life March 15, 2003, in Pascagoula.
She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Robert Pierre (Patricia) Thompson of Pascagoula; three grandchildren, Erica McCarty, Ashley McCarty, and Robin Thompson of Pascagoula; a devoted companion, F.L. McKee of Pascagoula; a devoted sister and friend, Michell (Stanley) Harrington; five devoted godchildren, Talitha Chatman, Simmon White, Shawn Young, Brittney Bradley (McKee), Brianna Chatman; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held from 1 until 2 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2003 at Millender's Funeral Home Chapel, Moss Point, Miss.
Funeral services will begin promptly at 2 p.m. from the chapel.
Interment will be in Scranton cemetery, Pascagoula.

HINKEL
Harold Edward Hinkel Sr., 74, of Pascagoula, Miss., departed this earth on Tuesday, March 18, 2003. He was born icon October 6, 1928, in Pascagoula and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula and retired after 39 years at Ingalls Shipbuilding. He was preceded in death by his father, Percival H. Hinkel, Sr.; mother, Lenora L. Hinkel; three brothers, Louis, William, and Percival Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Elsie Vice Hinkel, Pascagoula; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley (Paul) Boykin, Nashville, Tenn., Wanda (Rick) Tira, Pascagoula; three sons and daughters-in-law, Harold Jr. "Harry" (Debra), Pascagoula, Patrick (Nancy), Pascagoula, Richard (Lori), Gautier; two sisters, Deloris (Charles) Hudson and Agnes Heistand, both of Moss Point; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; close friends, and neighbors, Glenn Hall; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 22, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula.
Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m.
There will be no graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Victories Church or charity of your choice.

NECK
Leland Edward "Lee" Neck, 79, of Hurley, Miss., died March 17, 2003, at his residence. He was born icon October 29, 1923. Mr. Neck worked as a shipfitter at Ingalls Shipbuilding and as a security guard with Pinkerton. He was a Navy veteran and member of the V.F.W. Mr. Neck was preceded in death by his wife Clara Kenny Neck.
Survivors include three step-daughters, Clarissa Wood of Semmes, Ala., Francisco (Gregory) Ivanoff of Hurley and Linda Sue Riley of Panama City, Fla.; two step-sons, Levy Miro of Dothan, Ala. and Johnny Miro of Dover, Del.; a son, Mike Neck; and a daughter, Patty Neck; 19 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 22, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Moss Point.

THOMAS
Samuel Stewart Thomas, born icon February, 24, 1947, departed this life on March 14, 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Annie Bell Stanton Thomas.
He leaves to mourn with cherished memories, two sons, Curtis (Lisa) Laster and Mark Pittman; loving sister, Constance Stanton; three special nieces, Chakeela Stanton, Cha Miracle Good, Charlesa McPherson; devoted cousins, Thomas (Delores) Friley, Florine (Henry) Barber, Paul (Dorothy) Stanton and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Belzoni, Miss., from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, Saturday, March 22. Funeral services to follow at 12 noon.
Interment will be held in Bankhead Memorial Garden cemetery, Belzoni.
