Mrs. Earleen M. Hawth-orne, 74, of Gulfport, Miss., died May 17, 2003, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Miss.
Survivors include five sons, Bobby Hawthorne of Biloxi, Miss., Clarence Hawthorne, Jerry Hawthorne, Arthur Lewis Hawthorne and Fred Lee Hawthorne, all of Gulfport, Miss.; one daughter, Angela Faye Hawthorne of Gulfport, Miss.; one sister, Catherine Forte of Gulfport, Miss.; six brothers, Luther McNair of Gulfport, Liddell McNair of Hammond, La., Joe Louis McNair of Pascagoula, Larry McNair, John Allen McNair and Elisha McNair, all of Moss Point, Miss.; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, at the Washington Chapel C.M.E. Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Burial will be in the Biloxi National cemetery.

BALLOW
Rev. Joseph Roland "Roe" Ballow Sr., 82, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, in Grand Bay, Ala.
He was born icon Dec. 16, 1921, in Faunsdale, Ala. Rev. Ballow was a retired United Methodist minister having faithfully served throughout Mississippi for 38 years. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. William Anson Sr. and Mrs. Rebecca Tolbert Ballow.
Rev. Ballow is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mrs. Clessie Ballow of Pascagoula; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Tim Gallagher of Gulfport and Lori and Phil Sutterfield of Pascagoula; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roland and Nancy Ballow of Luling, Texas and Marty Ballow of Moss Point; one brother and sister-in-law, William Anson Jr. and Laura Ballow of Lucedale; seven grandchildren, Josh Russell, Seth Russell, Erin DeWitt, Joey Sutterfield, Matthew Ballow, Allison Soine and Shannon Crenshaw; one great-grandson, Joseph DeWitt; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
The funeral will be at noon Thursday, May 22, from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Roger Puhr officiating.
Interment will follow in Jackson County Memorial Park, Pascagoula.

HAMMONS
Donovan Keith Hammons
God called home his son, Donovan Keith Hammons, on May 9, 2003. He was a born icon Feb. 15, 1972, in Houma, La., and was a native and resident of Houma, La.
His journey to heaven was made easier by those who passed before him his grandmother, Betty M. Ugas; great-grandparents, Robert and Nellie Briggs, Henry C. Ugas and John and Pearl Morris.
Those he left behind to cherish his memories are his parents, Thomas and Teresa Ledet, Houma, La., and Jackie Hammons, Pascagoula; grandparents, Cecil and Debbie Ugas, Pascagoula, and Leonce and Molly Ledet, Houma; brothers, Steve Pelligrin, Houma, Chad Ledet, Houston, Texas; Jack and Jeff Hammons, Pascagoula; sisters, Cherie Perez and Tia Linson, Houma; Heather Ledet, Pensacola, Fla.; Aunts and Uncles, Rickey and Sharon Ugas, Delores Lyons, and Connie and Mark Teague, all of Houma; Dawn Bordelon, Pascagoula; Donald and Tammara Ugas, Mobile, Ala.; Tommy Hammons, Monteguet, La., Dr. Craig Ledet and Jason Ledet, New Orleans; cousin and best friend, Bobby Ugas, Houma; devoted cousins, R.J. Ugas and Dylan Soudelier, Houma; Joseph Nannby, Gautier; Tamar Alario, Golden Meadow, La.; Beverly and Timmy Willis, Susan Hammons and Tammy Hammons, all of Pascagoula; and a loving and devoted niece, Maicee Williams, Thibodaux, La.; and many friends.
A memorial service was previously held at Samart Funeral Home, Houma, La.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2003, in Machpelah cemetery, Pascagoula, with the Rev. Rodger Bradley officiating.

HOLLEY
Ms. Patricia Ann Holley, 65, a native of Birmingham, Ala. and resident of Pascagoula for the past 40 years, died Monday, May 19, 2003. She was born icon Sept. 16, 1937.
Ms. Holley was preceded in death by her father, Luther Noel Holley, her stepfather, E.E. Blythe; and a brother, Michael N. Holley.
She is survived by her loving mother and caretaker, Mrs. Mary L. Blythe of Pascagoula; two brothers, Kenneth Holley of Pascagoula and Patrick (Vicki) Holley of Gautier; stepbrother, Danny Blythe, and stepsister, Judy Holly, both of Pascagoula; special friend, Donald R. Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 22, from Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pascagoula. Celebrant of the mass will be the Rev. Mike Kelleher.
Interment will be at Machpelah cemetery in Pascagoula, Miss.
The family of Ms. Holley would like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff at Plaza Community Living Center for all the love and care given.

MILLS
Earcel Mills, 80, of the Three Rivers community, died May 18, 2003, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born icon on March 27, 2003, in Philadelphia, Miss.
Survivors include one son, Marlon (Verna Mills), Three Rivers; and daughter, Carolyn Taylor of Vancleave; six grandchildren; three great-, great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Kirby of Houston, Texas and Elton Kirby of Jackson, Miss.; other friends and relatives.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at Wade Baptist Church in Wade, Miss.
The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Bill Barton officiating.
Burial will be at Serene Memorial Gardens, Escatawpa, Miss.

HARRIS
Nancy Rose Harris, 80, of Escatawpa, Miss., died May 13, 2003. She was born icon April 23, 1923, in Escatawpa, Miss. Mrs. Harris was a member of Summerville United Methodist Church, as the Mother of the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lillie Bell Hye; her brothers, Oscar, Calvin, Cleon and Charles Hye and Leroy Hye; her sisters, Clineice and Edna; granddaughter, Michele; and great-great granddaughter, Zy'Auna.
Survivors include a devoted husband, Jessie Harris Jr. of Escatawpa, Miss.; two devoted daughters, Pearlie Nelson and Annie (Willie) Brandon; , and one son, John (Shirley) Hye Sr., all of Moss Point; one brother, Edwin "Joe" Hye; a devoted great grandson, Cornell Davenport; one sister-in-law, Flora Bell Hye of Moss Point; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and two godchildren, Angela Marion and Shun Mass; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, with funeral services starting promptly at 1 p.m. at Summerville United Meth-odist Church. Burial will follow in Plenney cemetery, Escatawpa, Miss.

Sleven McDowell, 72, of Lucedale, Miss. died, May 12, 2003.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Morning Star Baptist Church, Lucedale, Miss.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Morning Star Baptist Church of Lucedale, Miss.
Interment will be in Lily Grove cemetery, Lucedale, Miss.

Nancy Rose Harris, 80, of Escatawpa, Miss., died May 13, 2003. She was born icon April 23, 1923, in Escatawpa, Miss.

Cora Mae Lollar, 89, of Forts Lake, Miss., died May 11, 2003, at Grand Bay Nursing Center. She was born icon May 28, 1913, in Caladonia, Miss. Mrs. Lollar was a member of Franklin Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas M. and Nancy Ann Jones; her husband, Coy S. Lollar; and brother, Leonard Jones.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Melzina Lollar of Forts Lake; brother, T.J. Jones of Columbus, Ga.; two grandsons and wives, Denny and Debbie Lollar and Mike and Donna Lollar, all of Forts Lake; a great-grandson, Paul Lollar, and a great-granddaughter, Madeline Jones, both of Forts Lake; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2003, from Holder-Wells Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Lennep and the Rev. M.L. McCormick officiating.
Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa, Miss.
The family prefers donations be made to the Midway United Methodist building fund.

DAVIS
Evia Mae Davis, 66, of Helena, Miss., died May 13, 2003 at her residence. She was born icon Feb. 2, 1937, in George County, Miss. Mrs. Davis was a retired insulator from Ingalls Shipbuilding and was of Holiness faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Oliver and Marena Pardon Davis.
Survivors include her sisters, Thelma Morris of Helena, Cora Thompkins of Big Point, Agnes McInnis and Reathia Clark, both of Escatawpa, Levia Fuller and Leathia Bolen, both of Lucedale; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Macedonia Church cemetery in George County, with the Rev. Rickey Tanner officiating.
