FUNDERBURK
Henry Rufus Funderburk, 67, of Gautier, Miss., died Monday, May 12, 2003 in Ocean Springs, Miss. He was born icon December 14, 1935 in Alexander City, Ala. He had been a resident of Gautier, Miss. since 1988. He was preceded in death by his father; Rufus D. Funderburk, and infant daughter; Peggy Funderburk.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Funderburk of Gautier, Miss.; two daughters, Susan Domingeaux of Louisiana, Audrey Funderburk of Gautier, Miss.; one son, David Funderburk of Gautier, Miss.; his mother, Mary Willie Funderburk; two sisters, Polly Inabinette of Gautier and Gerry Bullard of Gautier; five grandchildren, April, Jerry, Mikel, Josh, and Abby; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at noon Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Gautier, Miss. with visitation one hour prior to service. The Rev. Derrick Killingworth and the Rev. Charles Killingworth will officiate the service.
A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Carrville cemetery, Tallassee, Ala.

NELSON
Lola Mae Nelson, 93, born icon May 3, 1910 in Lucedale, Miss., died May 11, 2003, in Gautier Miss. She was a resident of Jackson County most of her life, a homemaker and member of Big Point First Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Butch Nelson; parents, Calhoun and Edna Carter; children, Carl and Rueben Nelson; daughter-in-law, Madine Nelson; and grandson, Mike Nelson
Survivors include a son, Lawson Bub Nelson of Helena Miss.; daughter and son-in-law Ernie and Eugene Barriffe of New Orleans, La.; grandchildren, Gena Barriffe of New Orleans, Dwight Nelson of Helena, Mark Steven Nelson of Helena, David Nelson of Helena, Lora Melton of Orange Beach Ala., Steve Nelson of Big Point, Jimmy Nelson of Escatawpa; Barbara Nelson Law, daughter-in-law of Helena; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa, Miss. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Holcomb and Chaplain Harold Garrett of Odyssey Health Care officiating.
Burial will follow in Coleman cemetery in Hurley, Miss.

CRENSHAW
Mrs. Verda Louise Crenshaw, 82, died May 12, 2003, at her home. Mrs. Crenshaw was a native of Leaf, Miss, a resident of Lucedale, Miss., a homemaker and the widow of Mr. Thomas Lenzy Crenshaw. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lindsey McLendon and O.D. McLendon.
She is survived by six children, Peggy (Pete) McLeod, Patsy (Chuck) Davis, Sandra Lumpkin, Larry (Mary) Crenshaw, Dianne (Paul) Greene and Sharron (Johnny) Pittman; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, E.O. McLendon, V.E. McLendon, Edward McLendon and Malcolm McLendon; and two sisters, Billie Joe Mizell and Rita Pugh.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2003, from Sigler Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2003, from Sigler Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Rocky Creek cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Rawl will conduct the funeral services.

PARKER
Mrs. Margaret A. Parker, 77, died May 9, 2003 at Ocean Springs Nursing Center, Ocean Springs. Miss. Mrs. Parker was a native of Prichard, Ala., a resident of Moss Point, Miss., a homemaker and a member of the Blessed Hope Assembly of God in Grand Bay, Ala. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Regina Darlene Yates.
Survivors include her husband, Owen Parker of Moss Point, Miss.; three children, Glenna "Peggy" Aricer of Moss Point, Miss. Tony Parker of Lucedale, Miss. and Kathy Young of Moss Point, Miss.; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Gloria Covington of Canton, Ga.
Visitation was held May 12, 2003, at Sigler Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held May 13, 2003, with Brother E. H. Haddock and Brother Murphy Eubanks officiating.
Interment was in H. O. Parker Family cemetery.

PHILLIPS
Lorenzo Phillips, 53, of Lucedale, Miss., died May 11, 2003.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Morning Star Baptist Church of Lucedale, Miss.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Morning Star Baptist Church, Lucedale, Miss.
Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant, Lucedale, Miss.

CAIN
Mr. Howard Dancy Cain, 67, of Gautier, Miss., died May 12, 2003, at his residence. He was born icon Sept. 29, 1935, in Pine Bluff, Ark. Mr. Cain retired from Singing River Hospital where he was an X-ray technician. He had served in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank J. and Halene H. Cain.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Helen C. and Jack Byars of Gautier; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Frank and Irene Cain of Gautier and Harold and Donna Cain; best friend, George Kriss of Gautier; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Private services will be held at a later date.

LOLLAR
Cora Mae Lollar, 89, of Grand Bay, Ala., died May 11, 2003, at Grand Bay Nursing Center. She was born icon May 28, 1913, in Lowndes County, Miss. Mrs. Lollar was a member of Franklin Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas M. and Nancy Ann Jones; husband, Coy S. Lollar; and brother, Leonard Jones.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Melzina Lollar of Forts Lake; brother, T.J. Jones of Columbus, Ga.; two grandsons and wives, Denny and Debbie Lollar and Mike and Donna Lollar, all of Forts Lake; great grandson, Paul Lollar and great granddaughter, Madeline Jones, both of Forts Lake; many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, from Holder-Wells Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Lennep and the Rev. M.L. McCormick officiating.
Internment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa, Miss.

BLAKENEY
John Franklin Blakeney Jr., 82, of Gautier, Miss., died Wednesday, May 7, 2003, in Pascagoula, Miss.
He was born icon June 12, 1920, in Sylvarena, Miss. He moved to Moss Point, Miss. in 1965, and to Gautier, Miss. in 1973. He joined the United States Army Air Corps in November of 1941, after serving in the Civilian Conservation Corps at Camp Secret Valley, Litchfield, Calif.
In the Army Air Corps, he served in the 8th Air Depot Group and was stationed in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal, and then in the 95th Air Depot Group in Egypt. He attended the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Okla. and graduated from there in 1945. He re-enlisted in the Air Force in 1947.
During his Air Force career he was stationed at Scott AFB, as part of the Transit Alert Crew NCOIC, attended the NCO Academy at Westover AFB, was part of the 8th Air Force, 40th Bomb Wing at Carswell AFB, was a part of the 19th Air Division at Schilling AFB, and was NCOIC of the Field Maintenance Jet Engine and Prop Shop at Yakota AFB, Japan. Retired from the Air Force from Sheppard AFB, as a master sergeant on July 1, 1965.
He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in 1982. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gautier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. Blakeney Sr. and Eliza Crumpton Blakeney; and brothers, Emerson, Ed, Bailey, Excell and Russell Blakeney; sisters, Winnie Gardner, Audry Maddox, Dimple Winstead, Etta Wilson, Effie Cockrell and Clyde Stringer.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lee Blakeney; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Gloria Blakeney; grandchildren Jonathan Blakeney of Gautier, Jamie (Salvatore) Albero of Tampa, Fla., Dodie (Stan) Aycock of Gautier; great-grandchildren, Luke and Stephanie Albero of Tampa, Fla., Nicholas, Sydney and Amanda Aycock of Gautier; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at the First Baptist Church of Gautier, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Dr. Billy Williams will officiate.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 12, at Biloxi National cemetery in Biloxi, Miss., with the Rev. Charles Welch officiating. The funeral procession will be forming at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home in Gautier.

GOFF
Mrs. Mary Magdalene Baxter Goff, 92, of Moss Point, Miss., died May 8, 2003, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula. She was born icon Nov. 26, 1910, in Lucedale, Miss.
Mrs. Goff was a retired stenciler from International Paper Company and was a member of East Moss Point Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley and Susan Smith Baxter; husband, Rev. Otis Goff; and grandson, Tommy Newbrough; and two infant sons.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline G. and Lewis Allen and Johnie Mae and Vernon Hudgins, all of Moss Point, Dixie Gail and Richard Newbrough of Leavittsburg, Ohio; one son, Thomas Elwyn Goff Sr. of Summerville, S.C.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nine great- great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ray McCorkle officiating.
Interment will follow at Griffin cemetery in Moss Point.
Pallbearers will be Albert Jernigan, Hilburne Boutwell, Larry Carpenter, Eugene Smith, Floyd Lacy and Aubrey Busby.

JENNE
1927-2003
Larue Wilkinson Jenne, 75, of Pascagoula, Miss., died May 8, 2003, in Singing River Hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Jenne was born icon Sept. 16, 1927, in Leflore County, Miss., and resided in Yazoo City for many years before moving to Pascagoula in 1959. She retired from the Jackson County Planning Commission in 1990 after many years of service.
Mrs. Jenne was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and Ladies Auxiliary in Moss Point.
Mrs. Jenne was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 51 years, F.H. (Jerry) Jenne; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.L. Wilkinson; six brothers; one sister; and one grandchild, James Elliott Caver Jr.
She is survived by her loving children, Loretto Sitton (Al Kress), Melani (Jim) Caver, Fearon (Ina) Jenne, Ed Jenne, Bernardine (Michael) O'Sullivan, Andy (Roxane) Jenne, Geri (John) Tomes and Tony (Liz) Jenne; 24 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three devoted sisters-in-law, Bernardine Deemer, Mary Margaret Yerger and Janet Wilkinson; three devoted cousins, Katie Kates, Emmie Lue Neely and Clara Mauk; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 9, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Moss Point with Father Dominick Fullam officiating.
Interment will be at Jackson County Memorial Park, Pascagoula.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Jenne's grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mrs. Jenne's name to St. Joseph Church, P.O. Box 8549 Moss Point, Miss., 39562 or the Pascagoula Senior Center P.O. Drawer 908, Pascagoula, Miss. 39568.
