FELTS
Mrs. Irma King Felts, 87, of Moss Point, Miss., died Dec. 23, 2003, in Pascagoula, Miss. She was born
Jan. 29, 1916, in Faundsale, Ala. She graduated from High School in Uniontown, Ala., and attended the University of Southern Mississippi, Gulf Coast Community College and University of South Alabama.
Mrs. Felts was a teacher for many years at Sacred Heart and Our Lady of Victories Catholic Schools. She later retired from her love of dealing in antiques and their appraisals. Mrs. Felts enjoyed traveling and was a devoted Mother and Grandmother, she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Alvin L. Felts, Sr. and parents, Joseph and Ruth King.
She leaves to cherish her memory, sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Alvin L. (Lynda) Felts Jr. of Moss Point, Dr. Stephen Karey (Susan) Felts of Hermitage, Tenn.; brother, Edward King of San Carlos, Calif., grandsons and wives, Dr. Alvin L. (Sherry) Felts III, Robert Lindsey (Kala) Felts, Andrew Paul (Victoria) Felts, Michael Stephen Felts, Joseph Adams Felts, and Andrew Stephen Felts; granddaughter, Susannah Joy Felts; great-grandchildren, Alvin L. Felts IV, Zachary Matthew Felts and Aden Lindsey Felts; numerous other relatives and many friends.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, from Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss. Friends may call one hour prior to service time.
Interment will be at Griffin cemetery in Moss Point, Miss.
Mrs. Felts grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

MCLELLAND
Mrs. Marguerite "Rite" (Wilson) McLelland, 85, of Vancleave, Miss., died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, in Biloxi, Miss. Mrs. McLelland was a native of Lawrence County, born
in Oma, Miss., on June 20, 1918. From the age of 3 she grew up in Concordia Parish, Turtle Lake, Louisiana near Ferriday. She attended school there and graduated from high school. She went on to Charity School of Nursing and graduated as a registered nurse. Later she attended school of anesthesia and became a registered nurse anesthetist. She loved nursing and considered it her "calling." When she was older and could no longer do nursing she chose to minister to the sick through writing letters of comfort and encouragement especially to the terminally ill. Marguerite was a longtime resident of the coast since 1953. While she was working as a staff nurse at Gulfport Memorial Hospital she established the first recovery room for that hospital. The family moved to Vancleave in 1961. She has been a member of First Baptist Church of Vancleave since then. Mrs. McLelland was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lemond Aubrey McLelland (Mac), and other loving members of his family, her parents, Olive Virginia (Montpelier) Wilson and William Penn Wilson, brothers, Floyd, William Joseph, Russell Calvin, and James Otts Wilson, sisters, Agnes Wilson and Olive Elizabeth (Wilson) Craft.
She is survived by two beloved sons and their families, William Lana and Lorie Jolene (Rockwell) McLelland and their daughter, Rachel, and Harold Aubrey "Ham" McLelland and Jennifer Marie (David) McLelland and their sons, Joshua Joseph and Caleb Aubrey McLelland plus many beloved nieces and nephews, and also many dearly loved relatives of her husbands family.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, Ocean Springs Chapel, Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Sunday, Dec. 28, there will be a 2 p.m. church service. at First Baptist Church of Vancleave, where friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Vancleave #2 cemetery.

SIMPSON
Donald Buford Simpson, 64, of Rocky Creek, Miss., died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at USA Medical Center in Mobile, Ala. He was born
on July 4, 1939, in Leake County, Thomastown, Miss., to the late John Calvin Simpson and Miriam Adelene Turner Simpson.
Mr. Simpson was a former long time resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was employed as vice president of Marketing with Worldwide Labor Support, Inc. in Pascagoula. He was a 1957 graduate of Pascagoula High School and served honorably in the U.S. Navy. He was an active member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Rocky Creek.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Lambert Simpson of Rocky Creek; two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Michael J. (Gina) Tompkins, of Pascagoula, and Eric S. (Melissa) Tompkins, of Gautier; one step granddaughter and one step grandson, of Pascagoula; son, Gregory Scott Simpson; daughter, Tara Raquiel Simpson; daughter and son-in-law, Tanya Nicole (Steve) Miller; six grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, George Ray (Carol) Simpson of Gulfport, and Ronald Glen (Kathy) Simpson of Pass Christian; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Z. A. and Dutha Lambert of Pascagoula; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Betty Gayle Gregory of Panama City, Fla.; brother-in-law, Richard A. Lambert of Escatawpa; nephews; nieces; uncles; aunts; cousins; and other relatives.
Mrs. Simpson and family will receive friends for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. A memorial service will follow visitation at 7 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Ray Smith, the Rev. Dr. Bobby Burt and the Rev. Grant McLain officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Z.A. Lambert, Richard A. Lambert, David Gregory, Tom Thorwer, Steve Miller, William "Bill" Kelly, Doug Gautier and Stan Keebler.
A private burial service is planned at a later date for cremains in the Jackson County Memorial Garden Mausoleum in Pascagoula.

HESTER
James William Hester Sr., 56, of Gautier, Miss., died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, in Pascagoula, Miss. Mr. Hester was born
Feb. 19, 1947, in Greer, S.C. He was owner of Magnolia Securities, and was of the Baptist faith, a member of the Masonic Lodge #419 in Pascagoula and a member of the Jopa Shriner Temple in Biloxi, Miss. Mr. Hester was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Hester; and stepdaughter, Kimberly Bradley.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Carolyn Hester; sons, James W. Hester Jr., Billy Hester and Dwayne Poole, all of Gautier, a son, David M. Poole of Hickory, N.C. and a son, Jason Henderson of Woolmarket, Miss.; one brother, Douglas Carpenter of Tacoma, Wash.; and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tom Miller officiating.
Burial will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula.

PEASE
Norman L. Pease, 82, formerly of Pascagoula, Miss., a retired marine biologist, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at his home in West Kingston, Rhode Island.
He was the husband of Helen M. (Grant) Pease. born
in Boston, a son of the late Guy W. and Edith L. (Denker) Pease, Mr. Pease had resided at his present residence in West Kingston for 19 years.
Mr. Pease had been employed by the federal government as a marine biologist for 30 years, working in Pascagoula, Denmark, West Africa and Washington, D.C. He retired in 1984.
He was a member of the merchant marine.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the YMCA of South County.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.
Besides his wife, he leaves four sons, Richard G. Davies of Pine Bluff, Ark., Thomas H. Davies of Gautier, Miss., Law-rence B. Pease of South Kingstown and David C. Pease of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; a brother, Al Pease of Minneapolis, Minn.; and a sister, Ruth Diehl of Lewiston, Maine. He was the brother of the late Eddie, Wilbur, Guy and Edith L. Pease.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
ROZELL
Jo Ann Rozell, 62, a native of Kilgore, Texas, and resident of Moss Point, Miss., died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam Barnes of Houston, Texas, two sons, Mark (Marvina) Rozell of Moss Point and Arthur (Donna) Rozell Jr. of Ocala, Fla.; her brothers, Charles Stephenson of Hallsville, Texas, Billy Ray Stephenson of Arp, Texas, James Stephenson of Athens, Texas, Bobby Stephenson of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Patsy Hooks, Wanda Thomas, Barbara Stainer, Georgia Ste-phenson, all of Kilgore, Texas; and six grandchildren, Mark Rozell, Jr., Maurcie Holand, Sarah Barnes, Tellisha Rozell, and Walt and Valarie Rozell; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

TODD
Linda Carol Todd, 60, of Gautier, Miss., died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, in Gautier, Miss. She was born
Aug. 5, 1943, in Little River, Ala. She was a substitute mail carrier. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles David Phillips; and two sisters, Iris Ramona McKissack and Gail LaRue Forbes.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Ray Todd; two daughters, Beverly Carol Davison, Stapleton, Ala., and Paula Jean (Garry) Bishop, Cedar Key, Fla.; stepson, Justin Ray Todd; her mother, Ruby Lee Phillips, Atmore, Ala.; and grandchildren, Christin Lee Robinson, Brandon James Robinson, Jason Tyler Brown, Kayleigh Rea Todd and Jessica Denise Davison.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

HART
Rev. L.E. Hart, 88, of Moss Point, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003 in Pascagoula. He was born
Nov. 8, 1915 in Laurel Hill, Fla. Rev. Hart was an ordained Assembly of God minister for 63 years. He received his license to preach in 1946 while in Pascagoula and became an ordained minister in Montgomery, Ala. in 1948. Rev. Hart had served nine churches over the course of 63 years and had evangelized in Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. Robert Washington and Mrs. Fannie Lou Hart, his wife, Mrs. Ethel Weeks Hart, daughter, Dorothy Elliott, grandson, Alvin Elliott, two brothers, Austin Hart and Ted Hart, and a sister, Bobbie Lee Odom.
Rev. Hart is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Shelton and JoAnn Hart of Moss Point; a daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Edward Seaman of Franklin Creek, five grandchildren, Welton Elliott, Rev. Ricky Hart, Rev. Lavoy Hart, Dawn Murphy, and Dewan Seaman, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Canaan Assembly of God Church in Escatawpa.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 23 at 10 a.m. from the church with Rev. James F. Coleman, Rev. Rodney Coleman, Rev. Ricky Hart, and Rev. Lavoy Hart officiating.
Pallbearers will be Rev. Lavoy Hart, Rev. Ricky Hart, Dewan Seaman, Danny Murphy, Greg Driskell, and Luther Ray Elliott.
Interment will follow in Serene Memorial Gardens, Escatawpa. Arrangements by Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point.
POWE
Willard Powe Jr., 56, was born
on Jan. 13, 1947, in Brewton, Ala., in the Mason Community to Mamie and Willard Powe Sr. Willard departed this life Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at the Plaza Community Living Center in Pascagoula, Miss.
After graduating from high school, Willard joined the United States Army, where he served his country during the Vietnam War. When he returned home he married
Rose A. (Wells) Powe. Willard was a very quite and private person.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Willard Powe Sr. and Mamie Powe; his wife, Rose A. Powe; a brother, Lloyd Powe; a sister, Eloise Thomas Richardson.
To cherish his memories, he leaves a sister, Doris Thomas; a stepsister, Elmira Murray; uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends; a devoted neighbor, Willie M. Brumfield.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003 from 9 a.m. until 11a.m. at Davis Chapel United Methodist Church, Three Rivers, Miss. Funeral services will follow at 11a.m., promptly from the church. Interment will be in Davis Chapel cemetery, Three Rivers, Miss.

Ms. Latricia Patrina Gatson, 29, was born
Jan. 9, 1974, in Moss Point, Miss., Gatson departed into eternal rest in Jacksonville, Fla. on Monday, Dec. 15, 2003.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mattie Lovelace.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories two sons, Michael Dorsey and Timothy Books Jr., and one daughter, Kierra Brooks all of Jacksonville, Fla.; a devoted friend Timothy Brooks Sr.; a loving and devoted mother Betty Rivers of Huntsville, Ala.; a devoted father, Jonny Gatson of Moss Point, Miss., maternal grandfather, Wilbert Lovelace of Moss Point, Miss.; paternal grandmother, Willie Ruth (Rosco) McDonald of Moss Point, Miss.; two sisters, Kala (Kevin) Woods of Moss Point, Miss., and Joneisha Gatson of Atlanta, Ga; two brothers, Elonzo Nabors of Huntsville, Ala., and Kentaye (Sabrina) Clay of Germany; three maternal aunts, Jeanette Gatson of Huntsville, Ala., Joann (Belgin) Perry of Norfolk, Va., and Mary (Keith) Harris of Washington State; four paternal aunts, Brenda Hurd, Alma White, Ruby (Wayne) Poling and Kathy (Punchoe) Weems all of Moss Point, Miss.; four maternal uncles, Charlie (Verlyn) Rivers, Alphonso (Loita) Hixon, Connie Dean Lovelace all of Moss Point, Miss., and Willie Cliff of Huntsville, Ala.; one paternal uncle, Terry Gatson of Moss Point, Miss., a devoted cousin Carlos (Linda) McDonald of Jacksonville, Fla. and a devoted friend, Pam Montgomery; one great aunt, a host of great uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
