STOUT
Sarah Nell Stout, age 89 died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, in Ocean Springs, Miss. She was a resident of Ocean Springs and a former resident of Pascagoula.
Mrs. Stout was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Pascagoula and was a retired worker from the Benekie Company. She was born icon in Eldridge, Ala. on Sept. 23, 1914.
Mrs. Stout was preceded in death by her parents George W. & Mary Jane O'Mary; two sisters, Etta Johnston, Margaret Baughn; six brothers, Arlie, Walter, Johnny, William, Joe and Grant O'Mary. Her survivors include nieces and nephews; Bernita O'Neal of Vancleave, Miss., Loretta Kris of Grand Bay, Ala., Glenda Hendrick of Oxford, Miss., Edwyna Franklin of Long Beach, Miss., Mary Jon Lisby of Columbus Ga., Gordon Johnston of Cary, N.C. and Joe Johnston.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday Jan. 12, 2004, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss. Funeral services will follow the visitation Monday at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m., with Rev. Ken Hembree officiating. Burial will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula, Miss. The family prefers donations be made to the Unity Baptist Church. Holder-Wells Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

VINCENT
Mrs. May Bernell Vincent, 86, of Ocean Springs, Miss., died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Vincent was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Ocean Springs and a longtime resident of the Samaritan Retirement Apartments. Mrs. Vincent was a retired licensed practical nurse with the Ocean Springs Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Harold F. Vincent, her parents, Julia and Elbert Ryals, two brothers, Samuel Ryals and Elbert A. Ryals Jr., six sisters; Hazel Roberts, Kathryn Morris, Peggy Stewart, Bessie Ferrell, Estelle Harris and Addys Raines.
Survivors include her son, Luther Ryals Vincent of Bay City, Texas; four grandchildren, Michelle Vincent, Michael Vincent, Melissa Vincent and Melanie Vincent; two sisters, Doris Ladnier and Dorothy Willis, both of Pascagoula; three brothers, Charles Ryals of Pascagoula, Rayford Ryals of Moss Point and Eugene Ryals of Vancleave; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs, where friends may visit one hour before service time. Burial will follow in Vancleave cemetery.

SHOEMAKE
Charles Grant Shoemake, 60, of Pascagoula, formerly of Ellisville, Miss., died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at his residence.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville, with burial in Mack Brown cemetery. The Rev. John Bryant officiated.
He was a member of Arlington Heights Baptist Church in Pascagoula.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ned Shoemake.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Shoemake of Pascagoula; two daughters, Joanna Shoemake and Dianna (Sichanh) Craig, both of Pascagoula; mother, Lorene Shoemake of Ellisville; two sisters, Karen (Phillip) McKenzie of Ellisville and Peggy Key of Laurel; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joey Robertson, Eddy Strickland, David Key, Glenn Geddie, Gary Guessford, Wesley Buckhaults and Sichanh Vongpanya.
Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville was in charge of arrangements.

BOURN
Charles Ellis "Alec" Bourn, 60, of Three Rivers Community, died Thursday, January 8, 2004, in Biloxi, Miss. He was born icon July 13, 1943, in Wade, Miss. Alec was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie E. and Nellie C. Bourn; four brothers, Jerry R., Narvel R., Toxey J., and John L. Bourn.
Survivors include: Three brothers, L.C. Bourn, Wiggins, Miss., Gene Bourn, Wade, Miss., and Jack Bourn, Three Rivers; four sisters, Bennie Sue Glaskox, Hurley, Miss., Nellie Taylor, Patsy Miller, and Annette Bourn all of Three Rivers.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at Johnson's cemetery, Wade, Miss.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations toward the services.
Jackson County Funeral Services, Escatawpa, Miss. is in charge of arrangements.

ROULEAU
Glenn Ray Rouleau, 52, died on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004. Husband of the late Sandra Ann Roberts Rouleau. Father of Mark E. and Aaron J. Rouleau. Son of the late Anna Lynn Johnson and Paul Rouleau. Brother of Lani Johnson DeGruiter and Bobbie Johnson Skyles as well as, Linda B. Coates and Ray Harold Diggs Darcey. Brother-in-law of Kenneth and Shelia Walls and Pamela and Tim Dunston. He was a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Mississippi for the past 13 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Religious services will be held in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, La. on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004 at 12:15 p.m. Interment will be at St. Vincent de Paul No. 2 cemetery. Friends may visit after 9 a.m.

BREAZEALE
Danny Lane Breazeale Sr., 55, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, in Moss Point, Miss.
He was born icon Aug. 11, 1948 in Mobile, Ala., and has been a resident of Pascagoula since 1954.
He graduated from Pascagoula High School and was a member of First Baptist Church of Pascagoula. He was the former owner and operator of Drive In Cleaners and Betty Brite Cleaners in Pascagoula and Gautier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, D. L. and Frances Breazeale; wife, Judith Breazeale; grandson, Coleman Lynn Breazeale.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Danny Lane Breazeale and Laura Summerlin Breazeale, Pascagoula; two grandsons, Lane William and Bond Alexander Breazeale, of Pascagoula; many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula with the Rev. Dennis Ray Smith officiating.
Interment will be in Jackson County Memorial Park, Pascagoula, Miss.

HOLDINESS
Rev. Elbert Monroe Holdiness, a native of Kemper County, Miss., and longtime resident of Grand Bay, Ala., died Jan. 7, 2004 at a local hospital. He was 84.
Mr. Holdiness was a former minister at the Coden Assembly of God Church and also pastored at Dunnam Street Holiness Church in Pascagoula, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Bobby G. Holdiness, Philip L. Holdiness, and Donnie M. Holdiness.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Vernell Holdiness; three daughters, Delores Carley of Theodore, Ala., Sandra (Ronnie) Long of Grand Bay, and Beverly (James) Davison of Mobile, Ala.; seven sisters, Nona Drury, Gladys Robbins, Doris Higgenbottom, Mary Pittman, Dotsy Thomas, Marie Boatner and Mattie Johnson, all from Mississippi; six grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at Serenity Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday at noon from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Big Point cemetery, Big Point, Miss.

GIRLINGHOUSE
Mittie J. Girlinghouse, 96, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, in Pascagoula.
Mrs. Girlinghouse was born icon Aug. 26, 1907, in Foxworth, Miss. She was an avid fisherman, seamstress and gardener. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by, husband, Tollie M. Girlinghouse; her parents, Wiley and Molly Johnson; sisters, Phoebe Thompson, Gertrude Hatten and Lela Lee; a brother, Thad Johnson; and a devoted son-in-law, Eugene D. Watson.
Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Jimmie Watson of Pascagoula; two granddaughters, Zeta W. Fabyanic and her husband, George of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Cathy W. Pittman and her husband, Larry of Crestwood, Ky.; two special nieces, Burta Johnson and Molly Thompson; in addition to a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Watson officiating.
Interment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula.
The family extends its gratitude to the staff of Majestic Personal Care for their wonderful care of Mrs. Girlinghouse, lovingly called "Ms. Mitt Mitt."

SWINDELL
Andrew Griffin Swindell, 76, of Lucedale, Miss., born icon Nov. 14, 1927, in Carner (Parker Co.), Texas, passed away Jan. 4, 2004. He was a Machinist at Ingalls and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene Maples Swindell; four daughters, Linda L. McCormick, Andra J. Doyel, Nancy J. Holmes, Kathy D. Smith, and one son, Charles G. Swindell, all of Lucedale; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at George County Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, from the funeral home chapel with Dwayne Reed officiating.
Interment will be in Magnolia cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John W. Sims, Jerry T. Holmes, Charlie A. Holmes, Chris S. Swindell, Charles (Heath) Swindell and Shay W. Swindell.

COWART
Theo Nell Thurman Cowart, 79, and a resident of Gulfport, Miss., died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Cowart was a native of Oakvale, Miss., and a longtime resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She was the founder and member of Michael Memorial Church, she was a member and attended Sunday School at West Poplarville Baptist Church. Mrs. Cowart was retired as a teacher from the Gulfport School System. She was a loving mother and wife and shall be missed.
Mrs. Cowart was preceded in death by her parents, Ramsey and Betty Thurman; her husband, Vincent Edward Cowart, Sr.; a sister, Betty Jo Thurman; a brother, Lavaughn Thurman and infant twin daughters.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Cowart and his wife, Linda of Gulfport, Oscar Tommy Cowart and his wife, Linda of Ramsey Springs, Roland R. Cowart and his wife, Diane S. of Gulfport, Vincent Cowart, Jr. of Gulfport; her daughters, Carolyn Cowart Snyder and her husband, Bob, of Gulfport, Margaret Reddoch and her husband, Dewey of Saucier, Miss., Martha Elizabeth Cowart Beeson and her husband, Mike of Perkinson, Miss.; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, Hwy. 49 North, Gulfport, with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment followed at Finley cemetery.
