DUNN
Gerald Thomas "Tommy" Dunn, 54, of Helena, Miss., died July 26, 2004. He was born icon March 23, 1950. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Jeptha and Nora Dunn; brothers, Herbert Dunn and Benjiman Dunn.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharlene Hernandez of Artec, New Mexico and Renae and Bill Miller of King George, Virginia; one son, Jeptha "Bubba" Dunn of Escatawpa; the mother of his children, Karen Ann McQueen; six grandchildren, Courtney Davis, Michael Davis, Trenton Miller, Jonathan Hernandez, Megan Duncan and Austin Hernandez; two brothers, Wyatt and Dollie Dunn of Vancleave, Roy and Debbie Dunn of Hartford, Ill.; four sisters, Josephine Hunter of Lucedale, Martha Boutwell of Helena, Margaret Brooks and companion Tommy Moore of Franklin Creek, Mary and Don Davis of Orange Grove; numerous nieces, ne-phews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 30, from Holder-Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Ruby Walters officiating. Interment will follow at the family cemetery in Helena.

HARMON
George Edward Harmon, age 83, died Saturday, July 24, 2004.
A resident of Biloxi since 1959, Mr. Harmon was born icon July 28, 1921, in Southport, Conn., to Joseph and Pauline Harmon. After working for the Civilian Conservation Corps in Colorado for two years, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in January 1940. Following service in Panama, he transferred to the Army Air Corps in 1943 and saw combat with the Eighth Air Force in Europe. As tail-gunner for a B-24 Liberator of the 576th Bombardment Squadron, Mr. Harmon was awarded numerous medals, including the Air Medal with three Oakleaf Clusters, before being honorably discharged at the end of the Second World War.
In 1948, Mr. Harmon re-enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and completed tours of duty in Occupied Japan, Korea, and Turkey. He retired at Keesler Air Force Base in 1967 with the rank of Master Sergeant. Over the next 20 years, he worked at Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula and then as an independent logistics consultant in Wichita, Detroit and Baltimore.
Mr. Harmon was a graduate of Gulf Coast Community College and was an avid amateur radio operator, fisherman, cook and gardener.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Elizabeth Harmon; children, Crystal Lynn Bruce and husband Royal of Sarasota, Fla., Brian Lee Harmon and wife Lynn of Vancleave, Miss., and Russell Scott Harmon and wife Karen of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, Tracie Vestal, Christopher Harmon and wife Tanya, Brian Harmon and wife Becki, Frank Harmon, Jonathan Harmon, Brendan Harmon, Melissa Beechum and husband Dwayne, and Brandy Hall and husband Mark; and great-grandchildren, Cameron, Paris, William, Tiffany and Tyler.
A private family funeral service will be held at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home in Biloxi.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.

KRAFT
Mr. Clarence Jackson Kraft Sr., 67, of Pascagoula, Miss., died July 22, 2004, in Pascagoula. He was born icon Nov. 11, 1936, in Pascagoula, Miss.
Mr. Kraft served in the U. S. Navy, worked for the city of Pascagoula in the waste water management area, and was a member of Elks Lodge #1120.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Wilma Kraft.
Survivors include his wife, Merlene Kraft of Pascagoula; son, Clarence J. (Brenda) Kraft Jr. of Denver, Colo.; daughter, Sybil Diane (Ron) Wilner of Pascagoula; son, Martin Michael Kraft III of Pascagoula; daughter, Cheri Rene (Greg) Forehand of Vancleave; son, Marcus Leroy Kraft of Pascagoula; Caprice Michelle (Robert) Waller of Lucedale, Miss.; grandchildren, Anthony, Jason, Cheryl Kraft, Andrew Wilner, Stephen Lanier, Charlene Brooks, Chad Forehand, Christina, Sasha and Dasha Turner; great grandchildren, Cody Kraft and Alec Wilner; brothers, Raymond Kraft, Louis Kraft, June McFaul, Richard Boswell and Kenneth Boswell.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2004, at Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa, Miss.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa, with the Rev. James V. Miller officiating.
Burial will follow in Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa.

MCVEAY
Walter Lawrence McVeay IV, 57, of Pascagoula, Miss., died July 26, 2004. Mr. McVeay was born icon Jan. 25, 1947, in Pascagoula. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gladys McVeay; a daughter, Jamie; and a brother, Jerry McVeay.
He is survived by his father, Walter L. McVeay III; two daughters, Monica and Marla; four sons, Lawrence, Grady, Cory and J. Paul; two brothers, Dallas and Craig; a devoted sister, Jean Smith; a loyal aunt, Mary Skaar; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2004, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Gautier with visitation one hour prior to the service. Fa-ther Patrick Hayes will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Seymour cemetery in Ocean Springs, Miss.

NICHOLSON
Mattie Louise Marshall Nicholson was born icon Nov. 8, 1916, to Ely and Lena Marshall (Stallworth) of Burnt Corn, Ala.
She accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Bethesda Baptist Church in Nichburg, Ala. After moving to Moss Point, Miss. in 1940, she united with the First Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, worked with the Willing Workers and Missionary Society and served on the Deaconess Board.
She united in marriage in 1933 to the late Edward Calvin Nicholson Sr. in Nichburg, Ala.
Mattie Nicholson departed this life July 23, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Edward Calvin Nicholson Sr., and one daughter, Nettie Fantroy.
She leaves to cherish her memories; one daughter, Daisy (Emanuel) Grimmage; one son, Edward Calvin (Mae Nora) Nicholson of Moss Point; one sister, Jessie (David) Henry, Laurel, Miss.; along with four brothers, Emmitt Stallworth, Robinson Stallworth, Moses (Ethel) Stallworth and Jeremiah Stallworth, all of Nichburg, Ala.; two sisters-in-law, Bettye Stallworth of Mobile, Ala. and Nathalie Moore of Detroit, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Moss Point.
Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., also from the church, with the Rev. James Harris officiating.
Interment will be in First Baptist cemetery, Escatawpa, Miss.

REDDIX
Mrs. Allie Avanell Reddix was born icon Jan. 3, 1918, to the late Mr. Joseph and Laura Batson in Latimer, Miss. She departed this life Monday, Dec. 29, 2003 in St. Martin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Hermes Grant (Shoe) Reddix; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Batson, two brothers, Henry Batson and Truman Batson; three sisters, Rutetta Burney, Gladys Gaines and Beverly A. Thompson; one son, Hermes Grant (Bill) Reddix Jr.; and two grandchildren, Joseph (Man) Reddix and Rosie Gaines.
She professed Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She has served faithfully in her church, where she later retired as the custodian. She was very active in her church serving in many auxiliaries as well as her Vancleave community. She also served as an agent for the Dickey Brothers & Harwell's Christian Mortuary serving Vancleave.
She leaves to cherish her lasting love and memories five children, Joe David (Elnora) Reddix of Ocean Springs, Miss., Dorothy (Clennon) Wells of Grand Bay, Ala., Brenda (Paul) Straight Sr., Annette Reddix and Minister Ellis P. (Deborah) Reddix, all of Ocean Springs; two brothers, John C. (Emma) Batson and Joe Leonard Batson, both of Vancleave; six sisters, Gloria Reddix of Keysville, Ga., Laura Whigham of Moss Point, Essie (Luther) Gaines of Killen, Texas, Lucille Massey, San Antonio, Texas, and Geraldine (Crawford) Reeves of Compton, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Geneva Batson of San Antonio, Texas, and Iola Reddix of Vancleave, Miss.; one brother-in-law, Cornelius "Nap" (Lizzie) Reddix of Vancleave, Miss.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Wake service is Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 5120 Burney Road, Vancleave, Miss. Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church and burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the New Light Missionary Baptist Church building fund.

ENGRAM
Litdell D. (LD) Engram born icon Sept. 6, 1922, in Bay Springs, Miss., departed this life on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, in Pascagoula. His parents and wife preceded him in death. LD accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Peter's Baptist Church. LD married icon Mary Ross on Jan. 4, 1941. They were blessed with two children, Willie Eugene and Mary Earl, both are deceased. On June 30, 1967, he united in holy matrimony to Ruth B. Harvey in Chicago, Ill. They relocated to Pascagoula, in 1980. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #485, served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged on February 7, 1946. LD retired from Ingalls Shipyard.
He leaves to cherish his memories, grandson, Craig Engram of Omaha, Neb.; nephew, Harold (Alice) Harvey of Matteson, Ill.; three great- grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Viewing will be Friday, Jan. 2, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Baptist Church, Market St., Pascagoula. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., Rev. William Marshall officiating.
Interment will be Monday, Jan. 5, 10 a.m., at Biloxi National cemetery.

KIRKE
Elsie Ezell Kirke, 69, of Gautier, Miss., died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, in Ocean Springs, Miss. She was born icon May 3, 1934, in Potts Camp, Miss. and has been a resident of Gautier since 1980. She was a life long member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nell Farris.
She is survived by: husband, Medard Paul S. Kirke, Gautier; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Gail (Jeff) Bourque, Ocean Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Eric Richard (Nelda) Wallace, Abilene, Texas; step son, Paul S. (Pat) Kirke, Slidell, La.; step daughter-in-law, Carol Kirke, Poplarville, Miss.; three sisters, Geneva Daworski, Walnut, Miss., Maxine Cain, Chicago, Ill., Cleora Carnell, Quelan, Mo.; five brothers, Dallas E. Clayton, Florida; R.C. Clayton, Chicago, Ill., Raybon Clayton, Chicago, Ill., Robert Clayton, Walnut, Miss., Leland Clayton, Quelan, Mo.; five grandchildren, Jeffery Bourque, Jr., Valerie Holland, Dawn Kendrick, Josh Kirke, Jason Kirke; and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 2, 2004 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Gautier, Miss.
Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Machpelah cemetery, Pascagoula, Miss.

SPIVERY
Clifton E. Spivery, 57, of Lucedale, Miss., born icon July 27, 1946, died Dec. 29, 2003.
Survivors include his brothers, Carl D. Spivery, David Spivery, Cornelius Spivery, Phillip Spivery, Douglas Spivery, Stanley Spivery and Curtis L. Bivins; sisters, Vergie (Spivery) Thompson, Regina Spivery, Berverly (Shantil) Spivery and Angelic Spivery.
Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 2, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Shipman, Miss. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Mt. Olive Church cemetery.
