Robert Patrick Modica, 16, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, in Mobile, Ala. Robert was born icon on April 24, 1988, in Pascagoula.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula, Miss. Celebrant of the Mass was Father Gerard Cleary.
Pallbearers were Joshua Neill, Chris Thames, John D. McAdams, Jonathan Fisher and Douglas J. Milburn.
Interment was in Machpelah cemetery.

PULLIN
Mrs. Debra T. Pullin, 48, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Nov. 7, 2004, in Pascagoula. She was born icon Nov. 28, 1955, in Quitman, Miss. Mrs. Pullin was a member of Eastlawn Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Minnie and Virgil Tallent Sr.; and granddaughter, Braedyn KenLee Dailey.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Kenny Pullin of Pascagoula; loving mother of son, Brian Lee (Christina) Pullin of Gautier, and daughter, Kristen (Brian) Dailey of Moss Point; brothers and sisters, Joyce (Leon) Hammond, David (James Etta) Tallent, Mary Jeane (Lester) Godwin, Jimmy (Linda) Tallent, Ann (Darryl) Brown, Johnny Faye (Latrelle) Brewer, Lee (Donna) Tallent, Meada (Mike) Nicholson, Leo (Patsy) Tallent, Leon Tallent, Sr.; one grandchild, Kenna Raye Pullin; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She will be sadly missed by family, friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Eldridge and Rev. Eric Smith officiating.
Interment will be at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa.

WOOD
Eugene Gregory Wood died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, after a brief illness. Mr. Wood, born icon in Houston, Miss., on July 4, 1911, was the son of George Price Wood and Mary Alethea Gregory Wood. He was a graduate of Moss Point High School and Perkinston Junior College. For 40 years, he owned Wood's Department Store in Moss Point, while serving for a period as mayor and later as an alderman for the city of Moss Point. He was elder emeritus in the Moss Point Presbyterian Church, a director at Merchants and Marine Bank, a Mason, and was named Jackson County's Outstanding Citizen of the Year several years ago. He was married icon on July 1, 1933, to Mary Alice Avera and for more than 71 years they have been a very devoted couple with five children, 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. "With Dad, there was no compromising on morals or principles," according to his son, the Rev. Larry Wood.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Avera Wood; his five children, Dr. Eugene G. Wood Jr. of Jackson, Rev. Lawrence A. Wood of Atlanta, Mary Helen Maynor of Birmingham, George C. Wood of Madison, David C. Wood of Nashville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at Moss Point Presbyterian Church. A family graveside service will be held at Griffin cemetery in Moss Point.
Memorials may be made to the Moss Point Presbyterian Church, Palmer Home for Children, P. O. Box 748, Columbus, Miss., French Camp Academy in Kosciusko, Miss., or the American Heart Association.

BONEY
Joyce Lee Boney passed away of cancer Nov. 11, 2004, in the home and care of Ken and Corinne Parr in Houston, Texas.
A longtime resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Joy was a person that had a caring and loving heart, enjoyed by many and determination and will matched by no one.
She is survived by James Boney and their three sons, Brad, Kyle and Quint; and seven grandchildren, Michael, Brett, Alex, Derrick, Joshua, Cameron and Tyler.
She wishes to be cremated and her ashes scattered in the beautiful blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Memorial services will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1302 Martin St., Pascagoula.

GLAZE
Paul Henry Glaze, 88, of Pascagoula, Miss., and recently living in Navasota, Texas, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at his daughter's home in Navasota. Mr. Glaze was born icon June 7, 1916, in Adairsville, Ga.
A resident of Pascagoula since 1952, Mr. Glaze moved to Navasota, Texas, in April of this year. Mr. Glaze served during World War II as a Master Sergeant in the Army Air Corps and was stationed at 5th Army Air Force Base, Johnson Field, Japan. Prior to his military service, Mr. Glaze worked on the Atomic Bomb Project in Oakridge, Tenn. He retired in 1979 from Ingalls Shipbuilding. Mr. Glaze was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3373, both in Pascagoula.
Mr. Glaze was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Mae Glaze; and his two sons, John Kenneth Glaze and Don Alan Glaze.
He is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Martha Jo and Gordon Bennett of Pascagoula, and Karen and Sam Cook II of Navasota, Texas; seven grandchildren, Paul Bennett, Donna DeLeau, Kaisha Baughman, Hope Lohse, Andrew, LeAnna and Matthew Cook; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Fannie Walls of Chatsworth, Ga., and Damie Bird of Tennessee; and one special niece, Brenda Sheperd of Rocky Face, Ga.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula. The funeral service will commence at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Johnny Beaver officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2278, Pascagoula, MS 39567.

SPOONER
Sarah Jean Spooner, 69, of Moss Point, Miss, died Nov. 21, 2004, in Pascagoula, Miss. Mrs. Spooner was born icon May 5, 1935, in South Carolina. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.
Mrs. Spooner was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Alton and Maria Angelina Vierra.
Survivors include her husband, Theron Earl Spooner of Moss Point; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kay Lorranie Roberts of Escatawpa, Miss. and Mary Patricia (Willie) Holmes of Big Point, Miss. One son and daughter-in-law, Theron Earl (Terri) Spooner, II of Ocean Springs, Miss., four brothers, Moultrie Jasper Vierra of Huntington Beach, Calif., Vernon Vierra of S.C., Victor Vierra of Hendersonville, N.C., David Vierra of Summerville, S.C. and one sister Patricia Bagnall of Columbus, S.C..
Other survivors include 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 23, 2004, at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bob Storie officiating.
Burial will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa, Miss.

PIERCE
Preston Clark Pierce Jr., 45, of Lucedale, Miss. died Nov. 17, 2004, in Huntsville, Texas. He was born icon March 7, 1959 in Jackson County, Miss. He was a member of Tanners Chapel Church, a self employed trucker, a member of East Central Masonic Lodge #631 Joppa Shrines, a member of the North Houston Street Rod Assn. and a lay speaker for the United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his parents, Preston C. and Sarah Pierce of Movella, Miss., one son, William Clark Pierce of Movella, Miss.; three daughters, Leslie Pierce of Movella, Miss, Maria Pierce of Bayou LaBatre, Ala., and Kimberly Fowler of Bayou LaBatre, Ala.; one brother, James (Gail) Pierce; two sisters Tonya (Donald) Hembree, Regina (Roger) Thompson, all of Movella; three nephews, seven nieces, one great nephew and one great niece.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Tanner Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Vice officiating.
Pallberaers will be East Central Masonic Lodge 631 Members.
Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shrines Hospital.

DEMAREE
Frank L. Demaree, 88, of Petal Miss. died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at Ocean Springs Hospital in Ocean Springs, Miss. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and a member of Leeville Baptist Church in Petal.
Mr. Demaree was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Demaree.
He is survived by two sons, Gary Demaree of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Phillip Demaree of Saginaw, Texas, and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, Miss. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home.

SULLIVAN
Thelma Ozell Sullivan, 89, formerly of Moss Point, Miss., died Nov. 22, 2004, in Jackson, Miss. Mrs. Sullivan was born icon Jan. 18, 1915, in Maben, Miss. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Moss Point, where she was in charge of the nursery. She was also a seamstress in Moss Point for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Emmett Sullivan; parents, Frank and Eula Lee Love; brothers, Frank, Willie, Hardy, L.C., Howard and Luther Love; sister, Susie Lynam.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Russell Cox of Clinton, Miss.; grandson, Daniel Cox of Clinton; sister, Bernice Magee of Brandon, Miss.; and two brothers, John Calvin Love of Fairhope, Ala. and Homer Love of Vacaville, Calif.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at First Baptist Church of Moss Point, where funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Michael Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Griffin cemetery.

McNAIR
James Lee McNair Sr. of Vancleave, Miss., died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, in Pascagoula, Miss. Mr. McNair was born icon April 17, 1934, in Lee County, Arkansas, and has been a resident of Vancleave since 1970. He retired after 20 years as salesman for Frito-Lay Chips in Mobile, Ala.; then became a security officer for Mississippi Power in Escatawpa. Mr. McNair was a member of First Baptist Church of Vancleave, and was also an ordained deacon. He was a longtime house parent of the Home of Grace Children's Home.
He was the most educated, uncertified psychologist around, with enough love for God and his family to fill the biggest of the emptiest hearts there is, with courage that surpasses even the bravest of men, with (Boots) that could never be filled again.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Jessamine McNair; three brothers, Homer McNair, Jr., Le Roy McNair and Herbert McNair; and sisters, Mildred Watkins and Mary Edgin.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Josephine McNair of Vancleave; two sons, John Preston McNair (Susan), Knoxville, Tenn., and James L. McNair, Jr. (Becky), Mobile, Ala.; daughters, Penny McNair (Jim Dunn) of Gautier, and Phyllis Cochran (Nate) of Vancleave; mother-in-law, Brooksie Roberts, Vancleave; brothers, Dick McNair (Dwade), Rosebud, Ark., Tommy McNair (Dian), McCrackin, Kan. and Roger McNair, Denver Colo.; sisters, Sarah Desautel, Sheldon, N.D., Betty Fear (Red), McCrackin, Kan., and Bay Edgin (Henry) Marianna, Ark.; grandchildren, Mark Harvey, II, Jamie McNair, Leslie Kujawa, Kayla McNair, Ethon Cochran and Leigh McNair; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at the O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gautier, Miss.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at the First Baptist Church, Vancleave, Miss., with Rev. Wilton Bennett and Rev. Greg Potts officiating. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church.
Graveside service will follow at Vancleave cemetery on Jim Ramsey Road with Rev. Bill Barton officiating.
Pallbearers will be Keith Cowart, David Buchannan, Mac Vaughn, Bill Zerfoss, Henry Turner and Glenn Sanderford.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steve White and Keith Noble.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Home of Grace.
