GALLASPY
Mr. Thomas B. Gallaspy, Jr. born
December 12, 1915 in Union, Miss. passed away Thursday, June 23, 2005 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was 89. Mr. Gallaspy served in the Army Air Force during WWII. He was the former owner of Gallaspy's Feed Store on Market St. in Pascagoula. He also owned and operated Gallaspy's Garden Center on Old Mobile Hwy. until his retirement. He was Baptist by faith and an avid golfer.
Mr. Gallaspy is preceded in death by one grandson, John Carl Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Gallaspy; his son and daughter-in-law, Burley and Beverly Gallaspy of Pascagoula; daughters and spouses: Betty and Randy Moore of Hattiesburg, Miss., Laura Lee and Aubrey King of Crossville, Tenn. and Eunice and Billy Chapman of Navarre, Fla. He is also survived by one sister, Dr. June Blount Cousar of Jackson, Miss. The Gallaspys have seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 26, 2005 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Funeral Services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dennis Ray Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Hospice of Light. Checks may be made payable to Singing River Charitable Foundation, 2101 Hwy 90 Gautier, Miss. 39553.
Interment will be in Machpelah cemetery, Pascagoula, Miss.
JAMISON
Nolen Russell Jamison Sr., 82 of Pensacola, Fla., died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, in a local hospital. He was a US Army Veteran, having served in WWII with Patton's Army.
Mr. Jamison was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Nolen Jamison; father, John Posey Jamison; sister, Mae Jamison Turner; and brother, T.E. (Chuppy) Jamison.
Survivors include his soul mate of 31 years, Elizabeth (Liz) Anderson; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Ronald Krotoszynski of Moss Point, Miss.; son and daughter-in-law, Nolen (Sonny) and Janet Jamison of Moss Point, Miss.; grandsons, Ronald Krotoszynski, Jr. Esq. of Staunton, Va., David and Roxanne Krotoszynski of Raleigh, N.C., Matthew and Melissa Jamison of Pascagoula, Miss., and Brandon and Patti Jamison of Moss Point, Miss.; great grandchildren, Chase Jamison and Laura Jamison; sisters, Janie Jamison Roberson of Ferrum, Va. and Nancy Jamison Brammer of Collinsville, Va.; brothers, Buren Jamison and John Jamison of Martinsville, Va.; step children, Terry and Tony Dzielski of Tampa, Fla., Donna and Steve Barkwell of Milton-Freewater, Ore., and Wendy Davis of Portage, Mich.; step grandchildren, Anthony Dzielski of Tampa, Fla.; Robert Strickland of Pensacola, Fla., Julie Meserole of Kansas City, Mo., Kelly Inama of Homer, Alaska, Cameron Davis of Portage, Mich., and Sarah Babin of Houston, Texas.
COX
Mary Kathryn I. Cox, 87, of Columbia, passed away, Wednesday, December 21, 2005, at Columbia Manor.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael Flanagan officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Mary was born
June 15, 1918 in Central City, Ky. to John Alien and May Whitmer Igleheart. She married
John W. Cox and he preceded her in death.
She graduated of Western Kentucky Teachers College in 1940. She lived most of her life in Pascagoula, Miss., and moved to Columbia in 1990.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mary Ellen Buddemeyer of Columbia and Nancy Cox of Chicago, Ill.; and two grandchildren, Katy and Andrew Buddemeyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters.
Memorials may be given to: Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund for the Diocese of Biloxi, 1790 Popps Ferry Road, Biloxi, Miss. 39532.

GARRETT
Mr. Ollie Ray Garrett, 88, of Helena, Miss., died Wednesday night, Dec. 21, 2005. He was born
in Baxter Springs, Kan. and spent his childhood on the family farm. He went to aircraft school as a young man and then moved to Ohio. There he enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1940. He served in Maine and Newfoundland during WWII.
Mr. Garrett was employed by the General Electric Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio during his working years. He helped design and develop parts for jet engines. He traveled widely in the U.S. For GE and spent six months in Japan advising and helping in their manufacturing of jet engines. He transferred to the Miss. Test Facility for several years and lived in Picayune, Miss. After retiring from GE in Cincinnati he moved to Gautier to live near his family. He attended First Baptist Church. He moved to the Helena area so that he could enjoy a few acres of land. There he attended Grace Baptist Church.
He is survived by daughter, Marcia Garrett West and husband, Michael West of Ocean Springs, grandchildren, John C. West and his wife, Jenny West of Gulfport, Ember West Pitts and her husband, David Pitts of Decatur, and one great granddaughter, Cara Pitts.
Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss.
Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Pinecrest cemetery in Gautier, Miss.
The family prefers donations to First Baptist Church of Gautier, Library Fund.

ROBERTS

Infant Hartleigh Grace Roberts, was born
Sept. 20, 2005, in Mobile, Ala. She went to be with Jesus Dec. 22, 2005. She was preceded in death by two great grandfathers, James Garner Roberts, Sr. and Cecil Frederick Taylor; aunt, Betty Louise Taylor.
Survivors include her mother and father, Lee and Leighann Roberts of Escatawpa, two brothers, Justin Taylor Barry and Jarrin Blaze Barry, both of Vancleave, grandparents, Durwin Roberts Sr. of Escatawpa, Robert and Charlene Stringfellow of Mobile, Ala., Melvan and Jackie Taylor of Vancleave, great grandmothers, Malva Louise Taylor of Vancleave and Felicity Elizabeth Roberts of Escatawpa, great uncles and aunts, George (Kitty) Hanson, Darrell (Ramona) Roberts, Ricky (Connie) Roberts, all of Escatawpa, aunts and uncle, Melissa (Mark) Overstreet and Pamela Taylor, all of Vancleave, numerous other relatives.
Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, from 12 until 2 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. George Catches and Rev. Larry McVeay officiating.
Interment will be at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa.
Pallbearers will be Josh Roberts and Darrell Roberts II.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made at any Merchants & Marine Bank in memory of Hartleigh for the First Candle/SIDS Foundation Research.

TAPPER
Michael (Mickey) Ray Tapper, 56, died on Thursday at home. He was a native of Mobile, Ala., and a resident of Irvington, Ala., and a former pipe fitter with Ingalls Shipbuilding. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Irvin Tapper and mother, Ruby Octavia Smee.
Survivors include his son, Michael Irvin Tapper of Theodore, Ala.; daughters, Misty Ann Lopez of Grand Bay, Ala., Shelly Marie Rand of Mobile, Ala., Stephanie Ray Schloss of Ocean Springs, Miss., Macy Michella Tapper of Port St. Joe, Fla.; brothers, Jimmy Kent Tapper of St. Louis, Mo., Irvin Earl Tapper of Grand Bay, Ala., Johnny (Danny) Tapper of Mobile, Ala.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at Gilmer's Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral hour. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows cemetery in Bayou La Batre, Ala.

GREEN
Carl Green, 73, a native of George County, Miss. and lifelong resident of Wade, Miss. passed away Friday Dec. 30, 2005.
Mr. Green retired from International Paper Company in Moss Point after 37 years of employment. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War and was very proud to be an American.
Carl spent his retirement enjoying every moment with his wife, children, and four special grandchildren. He was loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A special thank you to all his hunting and paper mill buddies.
Mr. Green is preceded in death by his parents Willie Gaston and Dora Mason Green.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years Mrs. Dorothy Jean Carney Green. Three daughters: Carla (James) Ely, Darla (Joey) Vice, and Paula Green. Four grandchildrren: Danielle Ely, and Triplets, Mason, Victoria, and Jillian Vice. Other loved ones include Georgia Carney Mansfield, Mike and Jan Carney, Harold and Trudy Carney, Bobby and Maggie Carney, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special family friends.
Visitation will be Sunday Jan. 1, 2006, from 1 until 3 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, Miss.
Funeral services will be held Sunday Jan. 1, 2006, at 3 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Pearman officiating. Pallbearers will be Paul Hans, Roth Mansfield, Renick Carney, Bill Burns, Pete Faccini, and Randy Carney.
Interment will be in Johnson cemetery.

MCLEOD
Shara Gail McLeod 58, of Moss Point, Miss. passed away Dec. 27, 2005, in Pascagoula, Miss.
Mrs. McLeod was born
March 28, 1947, in Louisville, Miss.
She was a longtime resident of the Jackson County Area. Gail was co-owner of McLeod Marine in Pascagoula. She also enjoyed sewing and traveling and adored her grandson. She was of the Catholic faith. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Julian Wilson "J. W." McLeod Jr. of Moss Point, Miss.; three daughters, Roxanne McLeod, Escatawpa, Miss., Shara McLeod of Sacramento, Ca. and Rachel McLeod of Moss Point; her parents, Raymond and Gladys Womble of Escatawpa, Miss.; one brother, Ray Womble of Escatawpa; two sisters, Jackie Jenkins of Raliegh, N. C., and Glenda Foster of Gautier, Miss. and grandson Nicholas Poole of Escatawpa.
Visitation will be Friday Dec. 30, 2005, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. with rosary at 6 p.m.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at 11a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Moss Point, Miss.
Interment will follow at Machpelah cemetery, Pascagoula.
JOHNSON
Recarlos Johnson, born
Dec. 10, 1972, in Moss Point, Miss. A graduate of Moss Point High School in 1991. He attended Alcorn State University, graduated May 12, 2001, with a B.S. degree in psychology. He was employed at Northup Grumman Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Miss.
He departed his life Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at his home. Recarlos attended Lighthouse Apostle Temple in Grand Bay, Ala.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Ellen Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted mother Ruthie Baldwin; a father S.J. Baldwin; a loving son, Desmond Demark Johnson; daughter, Ameria J. Stokes, grandmother, Emma McNair ; grandfather, Travis Lewis Johnson; one devoted sister Latitch Johnson; two devoted brothers Dietrich (Patricia) Talley and Jelwyn Talley. A host of neices, nephews, other relatives and friends. Best friends were Anthony Pryear and Tramaine Coven. A special friend Shantee Jones.
Viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at The Lighthouse Holiness Temple, 9901 Tom Waller Road, Grand Bay, Ala.
Funeral Services will begin promptly at 11 a.m. from the church with Pastor Floyd E. Nelson- General Overseer.
