Albert Everett Jr., died Monday, Aug. 7, 2006, at home in Mobile, Ala. Al was born
March 21, 1930. He was a native of Biloxi, Miss., and was currently residing in Mobile, Ala. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, holding the rank of Tech Sergeant. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Everett, Sr. and Grace Genieve Everett.

Joe Stephen Rankin, 55, of Three Rivers, passed away on Aug. 8, 2006, in Pascagoula. He was born
in Natchez, Miss., on Nov. 19, 1950. In 2002, he retired from the Department of Defense as an engineering Technician with over 24 years of combined federal service.

Curtis Martin Beecher, age 68, of Escatawpa, Miss., passed away at home on Aug. 7, 2006. He was born
Sept. 14, 1937 in Fresno, Calif., and lived in many states throughout his life, but for the past 29 years Jackson County was his home.

Ms. Icolia Lee Dailey-Booker, 89, of Pensacola, Fla., passed away peacefully with her husband and children by her side at Sacred Heart Hospital Aug. 5, 2006. She was born
April 27, 1917, in Peterman, Ala.

Pauline D. Fazio, age 90, of Gautier, Miss., died on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006 in Gautier, Miss. O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Gautier, Miss.

Rickey Nathial Reddix, age 41, of Moss Point, Miss., died July 29, 2006 in Mobile, Ala.
WHALEN
Rebecca Massey Whalen, 83, of Byhalia, Miss., died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital-Memphis. She retired in 1973 from St. John's Catholic School as school secretary and lived in Moss Point, Miss. before returning to the Memphis area. Mrs. Whalen was the widow of Daniel P. Whalen and was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane "DeeDee" Green.
O'CONNOR
Johnny "John" Lee O'Connor, 55, was born
in Madison, W. Va. on Dec. 27, 1950. He lived most of his life in Jackson County. He died at his home in Vancleave on Aug. 6, 2006. He was an avid competition shooter for NRA competitions. He served in the Navy and Naval Reserves. He worked for Ingalls/Northrup Grumman for 20 years.
TYLER
Mrs. Charlotte Legail Massey Tyler, 46, departed this life on Aug. 3, 2006, at Singing River Hospital after a long and hard battle with breast cancer. Mrs. Tyler was born
in Pascagoula, Miss., on July 13, 1960, to Irma Massey Watson and the late Loys Watson, Jr.

Mrs. Voncille Martin West, age 60, of Moss Point, Miss, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, at her residence. born
Aug. 3, 1946, in Wayne County, Miss., to Allen and Inez Martin, she was a longtime resident of Jackson County. Mrs. West worked as a caregiver and was a member of Creole Baptist Church.

June 15, 1981 in Naples, Fla., but lived most of his life on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

July 17, 1939, in Pachuta, Miss., died Aug. 1, 2006. She was a resident of Jackson County and a member of The Family Life Church and had a strong faith in the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lloyd Holston. Heritage Funeral Home, Escatawpa, Miss.
PROFFITT
Mr. Robert M. Proffitt Sr., 84, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006, at his home in Pascagoula. He was born
March 13, 1922, in Camden, Ark. Mr. Proffitt was a member of Freemasonry and received the 33rd degree in the Mother Supreme Council of the World. He was a World War II veteran having served in Dutch Harbor, Aleutian Islands from 1941 until 1944 in the 206 Coast Artillery Assn. Battery E Division. Mr. Proffitt was retired Assistant Superintendent of the Power Plant from International Paper Company in Moss Point. He was a life member of the VFW Post 3373 of Pascagoula and the American Legion Post 160. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Pascagoula.

Mr. Louis Butler Wilson, 48, of Hurley, Miss., died on Aug. 2, 2006, in Hurley. He was born
on Aug. 15, 1958, at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia.

Richard Dean Hester, 57, of Hurley, Miss., died Aug. 2, 2006, in Moss Point, Richard was born
March 9, 1949, in Jackson County and was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Juanita Hester; brothers, J.D. Hester, James Robert Hester, Ervin Joff Hester and Angus Hester; sisters, Jennie V. Ovestreet, Annie Prine and Melanie Bourn.
JONES
Mr. Emery O'Neal Jones, 61, died Monday, July 31, 2006, at his home in Moss Point. He was born
March 11, 1945, in Moss Point. Mr. Jones was a retired operator on the O.M.C. from International Paper Company in Moss Point. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing music with friends and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. Emery Ray and Mrs. Augusta McDuffee Jones.
