KELLY
Mr. William H. Kelly, 84, a 45-year resident of Pascagoula, Miss. and Moss Point, Miss. and a member and former deacon of First Presbyterian Church of Pascagoula, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at his home in Pascagoula. He was born icon July 19, 1922 to the late Rose and William H. Kelly Sr. in Oakland, Calif.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Merlene Kelly; three sons William Patrick Kelly, of Greenwood, Miss., David Scott Kelly and John Frederick Kelly, both of Pascagoula; a daughter Nancy Carol Kelly Orong, of Medera, Calif.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Kelly, CPO, USN, RET., joined the U.S. Navy on Dec. 8 1941, and retired after more than 20 years of active duty in the submarine service. Mr. Kelly was proud to have served his country with honor during a time of great need. He received numerous meritorious and distinguished service awards. He was also proud of his assistance and service to the Mississippi Coastal Chapters of Submarine Veterans of WW II and U.S. Submarine Veterans Inc.
From the mid-1960's and into the 1970's, Mr. Kelly served Pascagoula Dixie Youth League baseball as a team manager, coach, umpire and league president. He also umpired baseball games for Perkinston Junior College and other area junior colleges.
Mr. Kelly was employed at Ingalls Shipbuilding and Northrup Grumman Shipbuilding from 1962 to 1990, when he retired.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Pascagoula, on the corner of Pascagoula Street and Ingalls Avenue. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Clint Regan officiating. Pallbearers will be Bud Garrison, Herb Edmonds, Charles Harvey, Steve Walmsley, Clyde Oliver and Tom Klousal.
Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Biloxi National cemetery in Biloxi, Miss., with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that random acts of kindness be performed to honor his memory."

STRAHAN
Mrs. Fannie Mae Strahan, age 88, a former resident of Gautier, Miss. passed away April 15, 2007 in Foley, Ala. She was born icon April 29, 1918 in Meridian, Miss. She was a member of Turning Point United Pentecostal Church in Gautier. A devoted homemaker, her family was her life. Mrs. Strahan was preceded in death by her parents I.F. Lynch and Mae Cooley Lynch; husband Oscar (Doc) Strahan; brother Finn Lynch; son Rev. Charles A. Strahan; grandsons Tommy S. Strahan and Steven Micah Strahan. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law; David (Carol) Strahan of Gautier; Michael (Pat) Strahan of Orange Beach, Ala.; Gerald (Liz) Strahan of Katy, Texas; sisters Marie Swanner and Burl McMullan, both of Moss Point, Miss.; Myrtle Hemsley of Meridian; seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 17, 2007 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Holder Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007 from Holder Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Derrick Killingsworth officiating.
Pallbearers will be David Strahan, Jr., Charles Strahan, Alton Byrd, Pat McMullan, Lamar Smith and Art McMullan.
Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa, Miss. Arrangements by Holder Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point.

THOMPSON
Mr. Darry Maurice Thompson was born icon May 27, 1960 in Pascagoula, Miss. (Jackson County).
His parents is Mrs. Elnor Thompson and the (late) Mr. Havis Thompson. He departed this life April 12, 2007.
He was a life long resident of Moss Point, Miss., he attended Moss Point High School and joined First Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.
Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Havis Thompson. He leaves behind two sons Darry Marcel Brown of Moss Point and Shedrick Troy Brown of White Castle, La.; his mother Mrs. Elnor Thompson, Moss Point; three sisters Linda (William) Hooks, Donna (Donald Ray) Howze both of Moss Point; Paulette McKinley of Detroit, Mich.; two brothers, Steve A. Thompson, Eric D. Thompson both of Moss Point; one grand-daughter India Evans, Moss Point; devoted friend Toy Brown, White Castle, La. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at First Missionary Baptist Church, 4600 Main St., Moss Point.
Funeral services will follow at 12 noon with Rev. James O. Harris officiating.
Interment will be at First Baptist cemetery Moss Point.

DEVAUGHAN
Myra Cook DeVaughan, 93, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Glen Oaks Nursing Home, Lucedale, Miss. Visitation will be held Monday, April 16, 2007, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Sigler Funeral Home in Lucedale.
Funeral services will be held April 17, 2007, at 2 p.m. from Agricola Baptist Church, 7268 Barton-Agricola Road, Agricola, Miss. Interment will follow in the Agricola cemetery. Rev. Lawrence Baylot, Rev. Tommy Mitchell and Rev. Bryce Evans will conduct the services.
born in Jones County, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Eddie and the late Delitha (Bush) Cook. She was a retired bookkeeper, employed by George County Court House. Mrs. DeVaughan was a member of Agricola Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Agricola Baptist Church Building Fund.

HEILMAN
Patricia Faggard Heilman, 66, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, in Jackson, Miss. "Pat," as she was known as by her family and friends, was born icon Jan. 21,1941, in Jackson County, Miss.
Pat was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She was preceded in death by her parents John A.and Agnes Goff Faggard and two sisters Maxine Gonzalez and Christine Sauer.
Mrs. Heilman had worked at "Shear Southern Style" in Pascagoula, Miss. for 12 years.
Survivors include her husband Mac Heilman of Jackson, Miss.; one son and daughter in law, Michael (Laura) Heilman of Jackson, Miss.; two daughters and sons in law, Lynn (Shelton) Lawson of Hurley, Miss., and Heidi (Greg) Shoemaker of Ocean Springs, Miss.; two sisters, Marquerite Shattles of Ocean Springs and Ruby Seymour of Moss Point, Miss. Mrs.
Heilman also has seven grandchildren; Zac Lawson, Andrew Lawson, Sam Heilman, Hannah Heilman, Ellie Heilman, Erin Heilman and Anna Shoemaker. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, April 16, 2007, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at 3 p.m. from Arlington Heights Baptist Church in Pascagoula, Miss., with Rev.Ben Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow at Griffin cemetery in Moss Point, Mississippi. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Heilman,Shelton Lawson,Greg Shoemaker, Zac Lawson, Andrew Lawson and Sam Heilman.

MURPHY
Mr. Gerald Eugene "Jerry" Murphy, 74, formerly of Pascagoula, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at his home in Mobile, Ala. He was born icon March 16, 1933, in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Murphy was a veteran of the Korean War and later retired as a Master Chief Radioman from the United States Navy. After his military service Mr. Murphy made his home in Pascagoula and would retire from the Communications Department of Ingalls Shipbuilding. Mr. Murphy was a member of the American Legion Post 160 of Pascagoula.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. Tolbert and Mrs. Irene Schuster Murphy and a son, Gerald E. Murphy, Jr. Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lyda Farragut Murphy of Mobile, Ala., three daughters and two sons in law, Laurie Arnold of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Gerrie Lynn and Tod Lumkuhl of Seattle, Wash., and Rebecca and Joe O'Kelley of Las Vegas, Nev. Two step-daughters, Diane Horn and Catherine Branch, both of Theodore, Ala. Eighteen grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 16, 2007, from noon to 2 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dennis Ray Smith officiating. Entombment will follow at Machpelah cemetery in Pascagoula. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society at 417 Security Square Gulfport, Miss. 39507 or to a charity of choice. WILSON
Mrs. Aline Wilson, 79, of Pascagoula, Miss., passed away Saturday, April14, 2007, at her home surrounded by her children. She was born icon March 7, 1928, in Yazoo County, Miss., to the late Edward and Ollie Stevens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James "Sparky" Wilson.
She is survived by six children; Janice Salter (Darrall) of Marietta, Ga., Pam Jones (Keith) of McComb, Miss., Marsha Wilson of Marietta, Richard Wilson of Lucedale, Miss., Charles Wilson of Pascagoula, Todd Wilson (Loukea) of Pascagoula, and Fenton, Mich.; a sister Sara Matheson of Craig, Colo.; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Machpelah cemetery with Rev. Bill Barton and Rev. Jim Lancaster officiating.

WILSON
Mrs. Joan Kathleen Valerie Wilson, of Ocean Springs, Miss., died Friday, April 13, 2007, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Wilson was a native of London, England.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, the Scottish Society and the VFW Auxiliary. She was also a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the Christus Victor Lutheran Church. Mrs. Wilson was formerly employed with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Jackson County Campus, in the business office.
Survivors include her husband, Carl F. Wilson of Ocean Springs, Miss., They were wed on April 4, 1944. Survivors also include two sons, Timothy A. Wilson and his wife Melissa of Mobile, Ala., and Christopher M. Wilson of Ocean Springs, Miss.; two grandchildren Tony Wilson and wife Michelle of Ocean Springs, Wendy McKee and her husband Butch of Mobile, Ala., and three great-grandchildren; Julianna Wilson, Madison McKee, and Kodi Cuevas.
A memorial service will be at Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Ocean Springs at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2007.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Jackson County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 998, Pascagoula, Miss.

LETT
Mr. Danny Jewel Lett, 64, died Friday, April 13, 2007, at his home in Helena. He was born icon August 3, 1942, in Black Betsy, West Virginia. Mr. Lett was a retired Maintenance Supervisor after 30 years of service with Chevron of Pascagoula. He was a member of the American Legion Post 160 of Pascagoula and Three Rivers Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. Albert and Mrs. Carrie Napier Lett, two brothers, Ray and Tom Lett and a sister, Julia Moses. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Juandena D. Lett of Helena, three sons and daughters in law, Kenny and Francine Lett of Gautier, David and Dana Lett of Texas and Timothy and Bridgett Lett of Vancleave. A daughter and son in law, Tammy and Allen Sampson of Wade, four step-sons, Darwin Browning of Helena, Scott McCrory of Alabama, Jimmy and Kristi McCrory of Vancleave and Jeremy McCrory of Alabama. A brother, William (Bid) Lett of West Virginia, two sisters and a brother in law, Rowenna Mills and Dottie & Richard Null, all of North Carolina. Fourteen grandchildren, one great-grandson and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 16, 2007, from 6 to 9 pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 17, at 11 a.m. from Three Rivers Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Gene Emswiler officiating. There will be a one hour visitation in the church prior to service time.
Interment will follow in Serene Memorial Gardens, Escatawpa. Arrangements by Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point, Miss.

Mrs. Helen Louise Swann, 91, of Moss Point, Miss., died Thursday, April 12, 2007, in Mobile, Ala. She was born icon June 20, 1915, in Citronelle, Ala. Mrs. Swann was a member of First Baptist Church of Moss Point, Miss. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. William J. and Mrs. Agnes G. Stringer Brannon. Mrs. Swann is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Mr. James H. Swann of Moss Point, a sister, Mrs. Agnes Mildred Thompson of Citronelle, Ala., a brother, Mr. Johnny A. Brannon of Temple, Texas, two brothers in law, Mr. Tolbert Bennett of Moss Point and Mr. R.L. Pope of Grand Bay, Ala., a devoted sister in law, Martha Patrick of Grand Bay, Ala. and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, from 10 a.m. to noon at First Baptist Church in Moss Point, Miss. Funeral services will be held at noon from First Baptist Church of Moss Point with the Rev. Michael Perry officiating. Interment will follow in Griffin cemetery in Moss Point. Mrs. Joan Kathleen Valerie Wilson, of Ocean Springs, Miss., died Friday, April 13, 2007, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Wilson was a native of London, England.

GREGORY
Mrs. Dorothy Helen Gregory, 79, of Grand Bay, Ala. passed away Thursday, April 12, 2007.
Dorothy was born icon Jan. 6, 1928. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and loved caring for her family. When she found time she enjoyed reading, knitting and the peace and tranquil moments of nature.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Gregory; her parents, Homer Chestnut and Verdia Vowell and step-father, Theoby Vowell; two daughters, Faye Gregory and Carolyn Shanley.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Darlene Gregory of Grand Bay and Herman Doug and Bonnie Gregory of Gautier, Miss.; six grandchildren, Michelle Bousson, Bobbie Jo Hobbs, Bryan and Michelle Gregory, Kena and Jeremy Ehlers and Douglas Edwards; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, April 16, 2007, from 12 p.m.- 2 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula
Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chris Brown officiating..
Interment will be at Machpelah cemetery. Doug Edwards, Lyons Bousson, Richey Hobbs, Wayne Gregory, Kyle Gregory, and Brian Gregory will serve as pallbearers.
