ROGERS
Ross Wilson Rogers, 65, a servant of God, died Thursday, April 12, 2007.
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant." Ross was born icon Nov. 26, 1941. He grew up in Pascagoula, Miss. and graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1959. For more than 40 years, Ross ministered to all ages of people as he served in churches as a Music, Youth, Education or Senior Adult Minister. His most recent ministry was to the sick, elderly and dying as he visited people in hospitals, nursing homes, retirement facilities and the homebound. Because Ross lived with and survived metastatic pancreatic cancer for nine years, he was able to offer hope, inspiration and encouragement to many people. One of his greatest joys was the time he spent with his two grandsons. Ross's family and friends will miss him on earth but will rejoice when they see him again in Heaven.
Survivors are wife of 40 years, Suzette of Mansfield; daughters Jenny Maus and husband Randy of West Columbia and Liz Nichols of Mansfield; grandsons, Trent Nichols and Daniel Maus; many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and mother-in-law; and countless friends and acquaintances.
Visitation will be 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield, Texas.
Funeral Service is at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2007 at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, Mansfield, Texas.
Burial will be at Mansfield cemetery.

WHITE
Agnes Marie White, 69 of 127 White Road, Lucedale, Miss, died Wednesday April 11, 2007, in the Providence Hospital, Mobile, Ala.
born in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Harry H. Hess and the late Agnes Josephine (Harcar) Hess. Mrs. White married icon Earl J. White Sr. May 18, 1956.
She was a home maker, a faithful member of the Saint Lucy's Catholic Church where she served actively in Ladies Sodality, Sunday School Teacher, Director of Vacation Bible School, and Chairperson of the Church Telephone Committee. Mrs. White was a dedicated member of the TOPS 245 where she served in various leadership capacities for many years.
Survived by her husband Earl J. White Sr., six daughters; Brenda (David) Nelson, Diane (Jim) Sillman, Cheryl (Larry) Cochran, Mary (Rickey) Tanner, Susan (Larry) Mergenschroer, Sandy (Mike) Smith and one son Earl J. "Buddy" White Jr.; 13 grandchildren Pam Phillips, Deanna Loper, Denise Welborn, Timothy Nelson, Amanda Williams, Davey Nelson, Hannah Sillman, Jennifer Reeves, Dustin Cochran, Richie Tanner, Brian Tanner, Mallory Mergenschroer, Tyler Mergenschroer; 12 great grandchildren Ashley Phillips, Trey Phillips, Tori Loper, Abby Loper, Anna Welborn, Jaden Brown, Kaylee Brown, Haley Nelson, Katelyn Nelson, Hayden Williams, Hunter Williams, Gage Reeves; sister Carol Molitor; brothers Walt (Barbara) Hess, David (Cathy) Hess. She was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Sunday, April 15, 2007 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Sigler Funeral Home Inc., P.O. Box 102, Lucedale.
Funeral service will be held Monday, April 16, 2007 at 11 a.m. at St. Lucy's Catholic Church, Scott Road, Lucedale.
Interment will be Monday in Magnolia cemetery, Lucedale.
Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale in charge of arrangements.

BANKS
Sandra Lee Banks, 60 of Moss Point, Miss. was born icon on Dec. 28, 1945 in Wilmington, Del.
She is preceded in death by her husband Alec Banks Sr. and her beloved grandmother Gladys Baynard, aunts Julia Ervin, Geraldine Staples, Joan Jenkins, Channie Ruffin, and Ethel Hillard.
She was a loving, caring and protective mother to her children and grandchildren.
The Lord sent Sandra's special angel to escort her home on Sunday, April 8, 2007 at her home.
Sandra leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted mother, Gladys Hogg of Wilmington; daughter, Alicia Ruffin (Lonnie) of Gautier, Miss.; sons, Alec Banks, Jr. (Helen) of Gulfport, Miss., Alce Banks (Tonya) of Meridian, Miss. and Alvin Banks of Moss Point, Miss.; 13 grandchildren, LaDerrick Ruffin, Alec Banks III, Emillo Jones, Cassandra Banks, LaNeisha McCovery, Ayanna Ruffin, Kianna Marshall, Andre Gordon, Lonnie McCovery IV, Jasmine Jones, CeCe Jones, LaTreis McCovery and Alce Banks, Jr.; aunts, Alice Young and Ceanne Sewell; devoted lifelong friends, Mary Moore, Rosie Boone, and Brenda Atkins.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007 from 10-11 a.m. at Faith In The Word Ministries, 2308 Old Mobile Hwy, Pascagoula, MS.
Funeral services will begin promptly at 11 a.m. from the church with Rev. James Edward Banks, Officiating.
Interment will be at River View cemetery, Wilmington, Del.
All arrangements entrusted to Millender's Funeral Home, Moss Point.

BROWN
Alice Marie Gager Brown was born icon on Dec. 7, 1919 in Jackson County, Miss. She was of the Catholic faith and was baptized at the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, La. on April 4, 1932.
She was married icon to Charlie W. Brown on Dec. 22, 1940 in Jackson County. They were happily married icon for 33 years until Charlie's untimely death in 1974.
Alice died of a lengthy illness on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, joining her predeceased husband and daughter, Mary Alice Brown Jenkins.
She is also preceded in death by her two brothers, Jack, and his wife, Nell Gager, Lawrence "Buddy", and his wife Shep Gager, and sister, Forestine and her husband, Louis Phillips.
She is survived by her loving son, Robert "Bobby" Brown and his wife Judy, of Moss Point, Miss.
Also surviving her passing, are four grandchildren, Melanie and her husband Chris Carlisle, of Moss Point, Jennifer and her husband Chris Bagwell of Clarksville, Tenn., Roy Don and his wife Brandi Jenkins, of Lucedale, Miss., and Kathy and her husband Brady Howell, of Agricola, Miss; there are seven great-grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alice was under the care of Hospice (Deaconess) of Lucedale.
Visitation for Alice will be Friday, April 13, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, Miss. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 2 p.m. from the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa.
Funeral arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, Escatawpa, locally owned and operated.

GIBSON
Mr. B. L. "Bon" Gibson, 88, of Three Rivers, Miss. was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 12, 2007 in Pascagoula, Miss. Mr. Gibson was born icon in George County, Miss. on Dec. 4, 1918.
Mr. Gibson was a charter member of New Hope Assembly of God, and recently attended Three Rivers Assembly of God and Canaan Assembly of God. Mr. Gibson proudly served our country in the United States Army and protected our nations freedom in World War II.
Mr. Gibson leaves loving memories to his wife of 60 years Nina Kirkwood Gibson; his son Vernon (Margie) Capers of Ovette, Miss.; a daughter Jean (Leroy) Harvey of Escatawpa, Miss.; a son-in-law Harold Hunnings of Three-Rivers; his eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; a very special nephew Mickey (Ann) Adams; and many other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Mr. Gibson is reunited with his loving parents Peter and Missouri Gibson; and his beloved daughter Mary Ellen Hunnings.
Visitation will be Friday, April 13, 2007 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Canaan Assembly of God of Escatawpa.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Canaan Assembly of God with Rev. Gene Emswiler and Rev. Rodney Coleman officiating.
Burial will follow at Three Rivers Assembly of God cemetery of Three Rivers.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons Dwayne Duckworth, Royce Harvey, Shannon Harvey, Jamie Capers and Jason Capers, and great-grandson Joel Tanner.

POLK
The final chapter has been written and life's responsibilities have been finished, being weary of the burdens of life, Elizabeth Polk succumbed when a Glorified Messenger was sent with orders to release her from her weakened body. On April 8, 2007, she entered into her Father's house of many mansions where He has prepared a place for her.
Mrs. Elizabeth "Lizo" Polk was born icon in Pascagoula, Miss. on July 14, 1921 to the late Mrs. Pauline Petite. Mrs Polk was a faithful member of St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church, where she was a 69 year member of Our Lady of Lourdes Court #4, (Knights of Peter Claver), the Alter Society and St. Martin dePorres guild. She also attended St. Peter the Apostle School.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Pauline Petite, her husband Allen Polk, Sr., one brother Jesse Malone, a nephew and niece Charles Polk and Philicia Parker.
She leaves to cherish her memories; four devoted sons, Allen (Delores) Polk, Las Vegas, Nev., Edward (Shirley) Polk, La Place, La., Don (Eunetha) Polk, Gautier, Miss. and Rodney (Avonne), Moss Point, Miss, two devoted nieces Rose Lofton and Gloria Mosley; twelve grandchildren, Sharon Hicks, Cynthia McKeller, Fanita Polk-Reaves, Kendall Gibbs, Jannelle Polk Belyue, Crystal Johnson, Edward Polk II, Don Polk, Jr., Stephen Polk, Rodneeka Polk, Aigner Polk-Wiggins and Rodney Polk, Jr., two step-grandchildren Marion Knowles, and Tasha DuBose, eight great grandchildren, a devoted cousin, Dorothy Gates, and a devoted sister-in-law, Frances Malone, longtime devoted friends, Gladys Polk and Carrie Lee Perkins, family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 3702 Quinn Drive, Pascagoula, Miss.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-10:45 a.m with recitation of the Rosary at 10:45 a.m.
The Mass will be held at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at St. Peter's cemetery, Father Charles McMahon, SSI officiating.

ROGERS
Betty J. Rogers, 72, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Miss.
Mrs. Rogers was born icon in 1934 in Scott County. In 1952, she married icon Tom Jr. Rogers. Mrs. Rogers worked for the Plaza Nursing Home in Pascagoula, Miss. and owned and operated the Rogers Ceramic Shop until 1979 when the family moved back to Scott County to the Cash Community. In 1981, Mrs. Rogers began a 15 year career with Sara Lee Corporation. In 1996, due to illness she retired.
Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her parents, Tom Banks and Ruby Banks Rasco McDonald, her husband of 54 years, Tom Jr. Rogers, brother, Tommy Banks and sister Francis Maze.
Survivors are her son, Jeffrey Scott Rogers, brother, James (Karen) Rasco, of Yakima, Wash.; step-brother, Kermit Rasco of Meridian, Miss. and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 9 p.m Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest, Miss.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2007 at the funeral home with burial in Cash Baptist Church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries or the American Lung Association.

WILLIAMS
Brenda Kay Williams, 51, of Gautier, Miss. went to be with her heavenly Father April 11, 2007 to a land free from all tears, where joy becomes eternal and time is not counted by years.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her father David McDaniel.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband Daniel Williams; three daughters Carissa Nicole (Dale) Steen, Shannon Darlene (Ben) Maxwell, Marla Danielle (Jeffery) Cooper; her mother Vella Marie Goff McDaniel, four brothers; David Earl McDaniel, George McDaniel, Dennis McDaniel and Jerry McDaniel, four grandchildren; John Aaron McDonald, Colt Maxwell, Shacey Maxwell and Kaeli Maxwell. Also her grandmother Vivian Sanders and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Thursday April 12, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, Miss.
Funeral services will be Friday April 13, 2007 beginning at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Edeker officiating.

BROOKS
Services for Thomas Coyt Brooks were conducted, Monday, April 9, 2007, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Alexandria, La., with Dr. Tim Neustifter and Dr. Henry Blount officiating.
Interment was at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Brooks died peacefully surrounded by family at his home in Alexandria on April 5, 2007. He was born icon August 26, 1931, in Lucedale, Miss., and was a graduate of Mississippi Southern University. He served his country in the Army from 1954 to 1956 and was stationed in Japan. A former plant manager for Sanderson Farms Inc., Laurel, Miss. and Afco Industries of Alexandria, he brought the Wiener King (Wiener Works) franchise to Alexandria in 1977 and operated the restaurant for 20 years.
He was a active member of First United Methodist Church, Alexandria and served in almost every position of lay leadership in the church during his 38 year membership. During his illness, Congregational Care Ministry of FUMCA furnished him with Alexandria's first prayer pager. He was an active member of The Cursillo movement and served as co-chair of the Central LA Ultreya. He served on the Board of Directors of The Boys and Girls Club of Cenla. He was an advocate for persons with disabilities. Having been reared on a farm, he continued his love of tilling the soil and observing things grow. His home was featured on the 2002 HSCL's Heritage Tour of Gardens. Tom seldom met a stranger and enjoyed travel and meeting people throughout the world. He will be remembered for his generosity. His life exemplified John Wesley's Rule of Conduct: "Do all the good you can by all the means you can in all the ways you can in all the places you can at all the times you can to all the people you can as long as you can."
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ruth Roby Brooks; daughter Frances B. Perry and husband Michael of Baton Rouge and their sons, Stephen and Brian Perry; his son Charles Thomas and wife Colleen; his brother J. D. Brooks and wife Cora Frances, Lucedale, MS; sisters Avis Hinson and husband C. D. Jr., Moss Point, Miss.; Bobbie Jean Dykes and husband Elson, Laurel, Miss.; Martha Marion and husband Ronald, Ocean Springs, Miss.; sister-in-law Claudia R. Fowler and husband Jim, Baton Rouge, La. and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by parents, Coyt and Moddie Kelly Brooks and sister Anna Lene Wozencraft.
