Jana C. Demoran, age 30, of Biloxi, died Sunday, April 10, in Biloxi.
Ms. Demoran loved to give her undivided attention to the love of her life, her neice, Alyssa Demoran and her nephew, Tony Demoran.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Nell and Albert Demoran.
Jana is survived by her mother, Christy A. Demoran; her father, Lewis W. Demoran; her sisters, Julie Demoran and Jill Demoran; her brother, Lewis J. Demoran; her maternal grandparents, Ursula and Roy Mattina Sr.
A memorial service will be at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe has been postponed until a later date.

Duane Robert De La Hunt

Duane Robert De La Hunt (Msgt. USAF Retired), 72, of Gulfport died Monday, April 11, 2005 in Long Beach. Mr. De La Hunt was born icon in Stockbridge, WI and had been a resident of the Coast since 1966. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Msgt. in 1971 after over 20 years of service. He was a member of St. Thomas Cathoic Church in Long Beach and was a former realtor and member of the Gulf Coast Association of Realtors. He also previously managed a marine store for Kremer Marine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John P. De La Hunt and Vivian Parsons De La Hunt ; and his first wife, Betty Noy De La Hunt.
He is survived by his wife, Roma Shields De La Hunt of Long Beach; two daughters, Linda Reed and her husband, Robert of Kokomo, IN, and Carol Peterson and her husband, Dr. David Peterson of Waynesville, NC; three sons, Robert D. and wife, Vanessa De La Hunt of Gulfport, Kevin J. De La Hunt of Metairie, LA, and Mark J. and wife, Catherine De La Hunt of Lynchburg, VA; a sister, Sylvia Moehn and husband, Matt of Stockbridge, WI; a brother, Russell De La Hunt and wife, Marian of Kaukauna, WI; and twelve grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their special thanks and appreciation to Brenda Chapman and the staff of Chapman Oaks Personal Care and to Southern Care Hospice.
The Mass of Christian Burial Celebration will be Thursday, April 14, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach where friends may visit from 11:30 until the service. Interment will follow in Biloxi National cemetery.
The family prefers memorials to American Parkinson Disease Assn.,1250 Hylan Blvd., Ste 4 B, Staten Island, NY 10305, or one's favorite charity.
Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.

Agnes May Holliman

Agnes May Holliman, 85, of Gulfport, died Saturday, April 9, 2005 in Gulfport. Mrs. Holliman was a lifelong resident of Gulfport. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ & Latter Day Saints. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Holliman was preceded in death by her husband Clifton Holliman, Sr., 2 children, parents George & Mary Saucier, her brother Denton Saucier, and grandson Daniel Lee Holliman.
Survivors include her 2 daughters Ethel Gibson, Ruth Holliman both of Gulfport, 4 sons Clifton Holliman, Jr. of Long Beach, Roy Holliman of Gulfport, Jimmy Holliman of McHenry, Timothy Holliman of Gulfport, 2 sisters Gladys Willis of Little Rock, AR, Katie Osborne of Washington, UT, brother Woodrow Saucier of Gulfport, 26 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-8pm, Friday, April 15, 2005 at Orange Grove Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on O'Neal Road in Gulfport. The service will be 11am, Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Three Rivers Road Church of God cemetery.

Inez Ackridge Galle

Mrs. Inez Ackridge Galle, age 92, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Sunday, April 10, 2005, in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Galle was a lifelong resident of the coast. She graduated from Biloxi High School and the State Teachers College, now known as the University of Southern Mississippi. She taught in Ocean Springs schools, Jackson County schools, and St. Alphonsus school for over 25 years. She was a member of the Mississippi Retired Teachers Association and enjoyed playing Bingo at the St. Alphonsus Knights of Columbus Hall. Mrs. Galle was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edgar Galle, son, Clarence E. Galle, Jr., and granddaughter, Kimberly Galle Pepper. Mrs. Galle is survived by a daughter, Janice Pepper and husband, Hugh, two sons, Charles L. "Larry" Galle and wife, Martha, and Carl W. "Boo" Galle and wife, Sylvia, all of Ocean Springs, nine grandchildren, David Pepper, Cathy Lomax, Mary Vargas, Chuck Galle, Marcie Montgomery, Leigh Beth Munter, Dr. Lawrence Galle, Dr. Jared Galle, and Cliff Galle, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 13, 2005, from 1-2 PM, with a 2 PM Mass of Christian Burial Celebration, all at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ruth Caillavet

Mrs. Ruth Caillavet, 94, of Biloxi, MS, died Saturday, April 9, 2005, in Biloxi, MS.
born in Boston, MA, Mrs. Caillavet was a resident of Biloxi for over 50 years. She was educated in Needham, MA and graduated from Old Colony Secretarial School of Boston. She entered Government service in Boston and in 1933 accepted a position in the White House on Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt's staff. The job on the First Lady's Staff gave Ruth the opportunity to travel, plan social events and meet King George VI and Queen Elizabeth of England. In 1939, Ruth worked in the Panama Canal Zone as Secretary to the head of the Panama Canal Dept.
In 1940 Ruth married icon Lloyd (Blue) Caillavet (a marriage that lasted 64 years), returned to Washington, D.C. and was employed in the Office of Strategic Services throughout World War II. After the war, when her husband was recalled into the military service, they were stationed in Europe and Asia. During the years of her husband's service, she was elected President of the Allied Air Force Wives Club of Central Europe and President of Keesler Officers Wives Club.
In 1946, Mrs. Caillavet received Red Cross Volunteer training at the Biloxi V.A. Hospital and has served continually at military hospitals.
Mrs. Caillavet was a Charter Member of Biloxi Little Theatre; Secretary-Treasurer of Les Femmes, which she help found; first President of Howard Memorial Hospital Auxiliary; member of Gaynel Garden Club Treasurer and Vice-President of Biloxi Garden Center; member of Billikins; Biloxi Opera Salon; and, Charter Member of Gulf Coast Women's Assn. Ruth also is the author of Memories of the Thirties.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Blue Caillavet and is survived by two nieces, Shirley, husband Walter Dye, of Ocean Springs, Patrice Briggs of Roebuck, South Carolina, Dewitt Caillavet, Hernandon, MS, Bayne Caillavet, Anthony, FL, Arthur Caillavet of Biloxi, Nicky Caillavet, Ocean Springs, Donald Caillavet, Ocean Springs and Sister-in-law Melba Caillavet
Services will be held graveside at Biloxi National cemetery on Friday, April 15, 2005 at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, and because of Ruth's life-long love of reading, the family request that donations be made to the Biloxi Public Children's Library, 139 Lameuse St, Biloxi, MS 39530.

T/Sgt/ Paul M. Burden, USAF, Ret.

T/Sgt. Paul M. Burden, USAF, Ret., age 52, entered into rest on Saturday, March 26, 2005, tragically from an auto accident.
He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Burden, sons, Travis Michael Burden, Adam Paul Burden, and Brandon Charles Burden, daughter, Veronica A. Burden, mother, Elizabeth Burden, sister, Cathy Burdette, brother, Randy Burden, and numerous friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, April 17, 2005, from 1-2 PM, with a 2 PM Memorial Service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.

Leo Joseph "Joey" Haydel, Jr.

Leo Joseph "Joey" Haydel, Jr., 51, of New Olreans, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 in New Orleans. Mr. Haydel was born icon and reared in Gulfport. He was a graduate of Gulfport High School, attended Ole Miss, and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg with a B.S. in Nursing, and received Certification in Anesthesia from the University of South Alabama. He was a certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for Parish Anesthesia.
He was a former member of Fairhope Yacht Club, Fairhope, AL, a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and previously served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps in Gulfport in 1979-1980.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Joseph "Pete" Haydel, Sr.; and grandparents, Josephine and Hershel Drye and Clementine and George B. Haydel.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Ann Booth Haydel of New Orleans; his mother, Margaret Edwards Haydel of Gulfport; a daughter, Madelaine Ledet Haydel of New Orleans; a step-daughter, Clara Healon Booth Sartain and step-son, Jacob Parker Sartain, both of Madison; two sisters, Katherine Marie Scafidi of Malobar, FL and Deborah Ann Haydel of Houston, TX; and three brothers, James Thomas, Gerald William, and Michael David Haydel, all of Gulfport.
The funeral service in Metairie will be held at Victory Fellowship, 5708 Airline Drive on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the service. The Mass of Christian Burial Celebration will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Gulfport where friends may visit from 1:30 p.m. until the service. Interment will follow at Evergreen cemetery in Gulfport.
The family prefers memorials to Victory Christian Academy Scholarship Fund, 5708 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70003, St. Vincent de Paul Society or St. John Elementary School Tuition Assistance, both in C/O St. John Catholic Church, 2414 17th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501.
Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.

Shirlee Smith Harrison Joffrion Hathaway

Shirlee Smith Harrison Joffrion Hathaway died April 8, 2005 in Auburn, AL. born icon in Halsell, AL, Mrs. Hathaway was a graduate of Quitman High School in Quitman, MS. She was a long time resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast where she was involved in many civic and social organizations. Her long career included endeavors such as Administrative Assistant to a major company, proprietor of her own beauty salon, real estate, and clerk at Harrison County Justice Court.
Mrs. Hathaway was preceded in death by her husband Isaac Hathaway, of Charleston, SC, and son, Richard E. Harrison of Vienna, Austria.
She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Harrison Moody of Summerville, SC and Rene' Joffrion Britt of Opelika, AL; a brother, Charles Smith of Jackson, MS; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a beloved pet, Ashepoo.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport at 1:00 p.m

DENNIS KEITH BROWN

Dennis Keith Brown, 69 of Biloxi passed away on Monday, August 20, 2007 in Biloxi.
Dennis was born icon in Grand Rapids, MN in 1938 to the late Wendell Brown and Luverne Brown Welte. Dennis grew up in Marble, MN and graduated from Greenway High School in Coleraine, MN He served for four years in th U.S. Navy.
He worked at and retired from Blandin Paper Company in Grand Rapids, MN
He was married icon to Judy Joy for 40 years.
During his last few years Dennis spent countless hours working at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd feeding groups and missions that came to the Gulf Coast to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
He is preceded in death by his father, Wendell Brown, brother, Loren Brown, sister, Carol Brown, daughter, Lynne Bogle, and a step father, Harold Welte.
He is survived by his friend and companion, Judy Rosenkrans of Biloxi. Children, Todd of Minot, N.D. Jodi ( Walter ) Shadley of Cohasset, MN, Lori Sundsvold of Calumet, MN, Ryan Bogle of Rochester, MN; a sister Barb (Bob) Reinert, 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.
Services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Chuch where friends may visit one hour prior to service.
Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
