SHELL
Mr. Tombs F. Shell Jr., 83, of Gautier, Miss., passed away Saturday Sept. 8, 2007, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born icon on May 5, 1924, in Apalachicola, Fla.
Mr. Shell is survived by his sons, Robert (Rita) Nash and Paul Shell; his daughters, Susan (Thomas) Neely and Shelia Stark; and his brothers, Robert (Jewel) Shell and Walter Shell.
Mr. Shell is preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Shell; his son, David Shell; and his brothers J.D. Shell, Edward Shell, and Ersel Shell.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home of Escatawpa, Miss., Rev. Tom Potter, officiating.
Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home, locally owned and operated.

BODDEN
Mr. Michael Bodden, 32, of Moss Point, Miss., passed away Wednesday Sept. 12, 2007, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born icon in Pascagoula on July 9, 1975. He played football at Moss Point High School when they won the state championship. He then went on to play football at Delta State University. He was an electrician for Signal International in Pascagoula. Michael was a loving son, brother and was devoted to his friends and church.
Mr. Bodden leaves behind loving memories to his parents, William and Lynn Bodden of Moss Point; his sister, Joanna Bodden of Las Vegas, Nev.; his grandmother, Jean McGowan of Mobile, Ala.; his uncles, Alfred (Betty) Bodden, Jr. of Moss Point, Patrick A. (Jeanne) McGow-an of Coral Springs, Fla., and Michael J. McGowan of Bellingham, Wash.; and an aunt, Janice M. O'Connor of Advance, N.C.; and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Bodden is reunited with his grandparents Alfred G. and Lucille Bodden and Albert P McGowan Sr.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home of Escatawpa, Miss. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
A Mass celebrating the life of Michael Bodden, will be held Saturday Sept. 15, 2007, at 12 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Moss Point, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
Father Mike Austin will conduct the mass.
Burial will follow at Machpelah cemetery of Pascagoula. Pallbearers will be Darvis Blackmon, Greg Davidson, Elizabeth Bodden, Peter Landi, Adam O'Connor and Joseph Benigno.

BOLING
Alva Grace Thomas Boling, 77, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at the Bolivar County Medical Center in Cleveland, Miss.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Rev. Dixie Holdercummings officiating. Mrs. Boling had chosen to be a donor to the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
born Jan. 10, 1930, to Tom and Kathleen Thomas in Columbus, Miss., Mrs. Boling attended Mississippi College after marrying Ernest Boling in 1948. Following their college years, the Bolings lived in Monticello, Greenwood, Sylacauaga, Ala., and Cleveland, where Mr. Boling was band and choral director. Both were involved in the choirs of their churches in these communities and were also fortunate to travel with the Lions Band and USA Band several summers to Hawaii and Europe. During this time, Mrs. Boling was active in the business world until retiring in 1990 from her last position as business administrator at Shelby Community Hospital. After retirement, the couple moved to Pascagoula, Miss. Several years after her husband's death in 1993, Mrs. Boling returned to Cleveland to be near family. She was also preceded in death by her three siblings.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly B. Jacks (Roy) of Cleveland, and her son, Ernie Boling (Debbie) of Alpharetta, Ga. Also surviving are her adored grandchildren Wes Stanley (Tracy), Denny Boling and Shay Boling, and three great grandchildren, Crew Stanley, Garrett Stanley and Matthew Boling.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1227 Deering, Cleveland, MS 38732
Ray Funeral Home, Cleveland is in charge of arrangements.

LOFTUS
Mrs. Rita Margaret Miller Loftus, 85, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at the Plaza Community Living Center in Pascagoula. Mrs. Loftus was born icon Oct. 30, 1921, in Ponchatula, La., to the late Margaret and E.C. Miller Sr. She was a homemaker and loved camping, traveling and watching the Atlanta Braves and New Orleans Saints. She was a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, N.S. Loftus Jr.; a stepmother, Beulah Miller; a stepfather, W.T. Baudry; three brothers, Irvan Miller, E.C. Miller Jr., George Miller and a sister, Beatrice Cunningham.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene (Tony) Cruthirds of Latimer, Nick (Doris) Loftus of Saraland, Ala., Curt (Betty) Loftus of Gautier, Miss., Glenn (Cindy) Loftus of Lucedale, Miss., and Ray (Paula) Carpenter of Lucedale; one brother, Huey (Sandy) Miller of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends. She will be sadly missed by those who knew her.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Holder-Wells Funeral Home at 4007 Main Street, Moss Point.
Funeral services will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Don Cochran and Rev. David Aultman officiating.
Interment will be at Serene Memorial Gardens in Moss Point.
Holder-Wells Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

REDDIX
Nicholas "Nick" Eugene Reddix, 29, died of cancer on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at Good Shepherd Hospice Center in Auburndale, Fla. born icon on Oct. 10, 1977, in Pascagoula, Miss. A self-taught drummer and keyboardist. He attended East Central High School in Hurley, Miss., active with the Davis Chapel United Methodist Youth, Three Rivers Community Choir, East Central High School Chorus, gospel group Friends in Miss. Upon moving to Florida, he was active in the marching Wolverine Band, Lake Region Thunder Football Team, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 97 graduate of Lake Region High School. He was a musician with The Redeemed C.O.G.I.C. Youth and Men's Choir, drummer and musician for gospel recording artist Eryk Anglin and The Family. In 2004 he became an ordained minister at Spirit Life Ministries. He was employed with the Department of Juvenile Justice in Polk City, Fla.
He is survived by his wife, Latoria "Candi" B. Reddix; two children, Nathan Penn and LaNajha Reddix, all of Winter Haven, Fla.; parents, Bobby and Sylvia Reddix; a sister, Tess Wells and grandmother, Edith "Big Mama" Wells, all of Three Rivers; a second mom and dad, uncle, David and aunt, Beverly; loving aunt and uncle, Bernard and Sarah Wells; father-in-law, Samuel Brown of Stuart, Va.; 17 brothers and sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at 10 a.m. until service time at 12 noon at Davis Chapel United Methodist Church, 3671 Big Point Rd., Three Rivers.
Burial will be held at the church cemetery.
Holmes Funeral Directors, Haines City, Fla., is in charge of service.

EILAND
Pamela G. Eiland, 53, of Gautier, Miss. passed away Monday Sept. 10, 2007, in Gulfport, Miss. She was born icon in Moss Point, Miss., on Oct. 10, 1953.
Mrs. Eiland leaves loving memories to her husband, Dale P. Eiland, Sr.; her sons, Dale P. Eiland, Jr. and Jason Eiland; her daughter, Jennifer Eiland; and her brothers, Samuel Tinnon, Steve Tinnon and Jerry Maxie.
Visitation will be Wednesday Sept. 12, 2007, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Escatawpa, Miss.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs, Miss.
Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home of Escatawpa, locally owned and operated.

HARRIS
William Ralph Harris, 65, of Pascagoula, Miss , died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Harris was born icon March 13, 1942, in Oxford, Miss., to the late Allonia M. and Jewel G. Harris. He was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran. He recently retired from Northrup Grumman Ship Systems after 45 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Sue Harris.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Cecilia Gordon Harris; two daughters, Pamela H. Loper and her husband, Bobby of Pascagoula and Deborah H. Barlow and her husband, Don of Hattiesburg, Miss.; four grandchildren, Corbin and Avery Loper and Hunter and Hayden Barlow; a brother, James W. Harris of Moss Point, Miss.; a sister, Gloria H. Rath of Gautier, Miss.; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.
Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. from the chapel with Father Mike Kelleher officiating.
Interment will be at Machpelah cemetery in Pascagoula with military honors.

JACK
Ricky Jack, 49, of Lucedale, Miss., passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007. He was born icon July 7, 1958. He was a resident of Lucedale all of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Gussie Jack of Lucedale; two sisters, Juanita Griffin and Carrie Coats; and one brother, Ernest Estes all of Lucedale.
He is survived by four children, LaTawdra Fairley, Ricky Jack Jr., both of Lucedale, Tyric Jack of Wiggins, Miss., Shavonda Fairley of Newport News, Va.; six sisters and two brothers, Flossie (John) Lawrence, Hallie (Sherma) Martin, Mae Jack, Joyce Jack and Eunice Jack, all of Lucedale, Delois (Roosevelt) Biggs of Three Rivers, Miss., Edwin (Phyllis) Jack of Mobile, Ala., Ceasar (Luvinia) Jack of Lucedale; and one grandchild, Paris Brenae Fairley; and a devoted friend, Lola Dennis of Wiggins.
Services will be held at the Lucedale Church of God In Christ on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m.
Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. with Supt. Larry Burney officiating.

James Carsten Emerson

James Carsten Emerson, 58, of Poplarville, MS passed away Wednesday April 6, 2005.
He was formerly employed by Gulf Coast Community Hospital and Memorial Hospital of Gulfport in maintaince and was a United States Air Force veteran.
Mr. Emerson was preceded in death by his parents, Merrill and Jane Emerson. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia Emerson of Poplarville, MS, one daughter, Anne Murphy, husband Timmy of Lumberton, MS, one sister, Marilyn Emerson of Andover, MN.
Visitation will be held on Thursday April 7, 2005 from 6pm-8pm at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home Biloxi, MS. Services will be held on Friday April 8, 2005 at 12:15pm at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe. Burial will be at Biloxi National cemetery.

Alton Lester Cook, Jr.

Mr. Alton Lester Cook, Jr., of Shreveport, LA, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2005, after a courageious battle against cancer. He was born icon June 11, 1936, in Many, LA, to Maurice Litton Cook and the late Alton L. Cook, Sr. He was a graduate of Vivian High School. Al was emploiyed by the Louisiana Department of Transportation, Pennzoil Company, Graves Insulation and the DeSoto Parish School System. Al will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul to all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Maurice Litton Cook of Biloxi, MS; sister, Rose Cook Kyle and her husband, Franklin, also of Biloxi; brother, William T. Cook and his wife, Alice, of Houston, TX; a nephew, Franklin M. Kyle, III and wife, Melissa of Mandeville, LA; a niece, Elizabeth Kyle Vaughn and husband, Lloyd, of Bunkie, LA and five great nieces and nephews:: Lauren Kyle, Franklin Kyle, IV, Claire Vaughn, William Vaugn and Katharine Vaughn.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2005, at the Forest Park cemetery Chapel, 3700 St. Vincent Avenue, Shreveport, LA, followed by a graveside service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Quality Hospice, 2279 Atkinson Road, Biloxi, MS 39531 or to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, P. O. Box 4461, Houston, TX 77210.

Sid Cruthirds
Died on April 2, 2005.

Mr. Sid Cruthirds, 84, of Biloxi, MS died Saturday, April 2, 2005, in Biloxi.
Mr. Cruthirds was a native and lifelong resident of the coast. He was a 30 year veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard and a member of the First Baptist Church of Biloxi.
Survivors include his wife, Oma Cruthirds of Biloxi; three daughters, Fay Clay and Nell Roberts of Jackson, MS and Beth Thomas and her husband, Harry, of Jasper, GA; two sisters, Jeanette Shaul and Irene Krohn both of Ocean Springs; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation is Tuesday, April 5, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Biloxi National cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 6358, Gulfport, MS 39506.
