GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Rosie Mae Harris, 57, of Greenville are pending with Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. She died July 27, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville.

Howard

INDIANOLA -- Funeral services for Rebecca Howard, 37, of Indianola will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Indianola. She died July 25, 2002, at South Sunflower County Hospital, Indianola. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Gardens, Indianola.

Survivors include a special friend, Luther White of Indianola, Miss.; a son, Ernest Howard of Indianola, Miss.; a daughter, Christianna Howard of Indianola, Miss.; three brothers, Johnny (Earline) Howard of Indianola, Miss., and Robert Myrick and Riley Myrick, both of Chicago, Ill.; and four sisters, Anna (Otis) Harris, Jolynn Howard and Dorothy (Mark) Green, all of Indianola, Miss., and Gwendolyn Tyler of Canton, Miss.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Hayes Chapel, Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.

There will be a family hour this evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hayes Chapel, Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.

The Rev. C.W. Ray will officiate.

Bass

LOUISE — Funeral services for Edna Marie Bass, 48, of Louise will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Big Mt. Zion MB Church, Louise. She died of heart failure Oct. 15, 2002, in Memphis. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery, Louise, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Belzoni.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis Bass of Louise and Tyron Bass of Memphis; four daughters, Christine Bass and Alisa Bass, both of Yazoo City, and Tina Bass and Salisa Bass, both of Memphis; her mother, Josephine Bass of Louise; and four sisters, Ella Ruth Holts of Itta Bena, Earnest Ruth Brown of Magee, Deloris Owens of Gulfport and Dorothy J. Ulrich of Seattle, Wash.

Visitation will be today from noon to 5 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home chapel, Belzoni.

Pastor Donald Washington will officiate.

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Elaine Loggins Coffey, 58, of Greenville will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Jake's Chapel MB Church, Greenville. She died Oct. 13, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Ray Memorial Gardens, Shaw, under the direction of Harris-Brown & Marion Funeral Home, Greenville.

Survivors include a devoted husband, James Coffey of Greenville; five daughters, Shirley (Leo) Crayton, Diane (Harold) Brady, Delois (Walter) Holmes, Dashonda (Antoneal) Martin and Cynthia (Curtis) Brown; two sons, Ricky (Kim) Johnson and Michael (Rosalyn) Johnson; six stepdaughters, Pearl, Christine, Bessie, Shirley, Barbara and Mechelle; three stepsons, Jacob Jr., James Jr. and Thomas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; two aunts; one brother, Jessie Loggins; 16 grandchildren; four special friends, Irene Banks, Minnie Hewitt, Judy and Leanci; and two special deacons, Deacon White and Deacon Moore.

SHAW — Funeral services for Sammy Dorsey, 64, of Shaw will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at McEvans Elementary School, Shaw. He died Oct. 11, 2002, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in Antioch Church Cemetery, Shaw, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta Dorsey of Shaw; three sons, Willie Dorsey of Chicago, Ronnie Dorsey of Shaw and Al Joe Sanders of Springfield, Ill.; five daughters, Linda Dorsey, Carol Dorsey, Jettie Dorsey, Valerie Dorsey and Sammie Dorsey, all of Chicago; two brothers, Leroy Dorsey and Johnnie Dorsey, both of Shaw; six sisters, Marie Dorsey and Rosie Lee Thompson, both of Shaw, Henrietta Dorsey of Memphis, and Christine Smith, Essie Spurlock and Delorise Dorsey, all of Chicago; 45 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m., with family hour from 7 to 8 p.m., at Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland.

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Ruby "Etta" Parker Henderson, 62, of Greenville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Greater Hinds Street MB Church, Greenville. She died Oct. 11, 2002, at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Greenville.

Survivors include a special friend, Cary Coach of Greenville; six sons, Elliot (Cheryl) McElroy, Barry Parker, Dexter Parker and Stanley (Ida) Parker, all of Greenville, Bobby Parker of Roland, Okla., and Donald Parker of Chicago; one godson, Ronnie Conrod of Long Beach, Calif.; one goddaughter, Torshiro Conrod of Greenville; three sisters,. Orlang Lee of Greenville, Mary Frances Benson of Van Nuys, Calif., and Idessia Miller of Chicago; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two best friends, Earnestine Conrod of Greenville and Ruby Jackson of Valdosta, Ga.

Hollins

ROLLING FORK — Funeral services for Marlee Hollins, 92, of Rolling Fork will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Ollie MB Church, Egremont. She died Oct. 15, 2002, at Sharkey Issaquena Hospital, Rolling Fork. Burial will be in Mt. Ollie Cemetery, Egremont, under the direction of Walker Funeral Home, Rolling Fork.

She is survived by two sisters, Mary White of Greenville and Lillie Oatis of Vicksburg.

Howell

GREENVILLE — Graveside services for Lucille Watkins Howell, 87, of Greenville, a homemaker, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, French Camp. She died of heart failure Oct. 16, 2002, at Greenville Convalescent Home. Burial will be under the direction of Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Bailey.

Survivors include one son, R.E. Bailey of Greenville; one sister, Pearl Phillips of Greenville; three brothers, H.L. Watkins of Greenville, A.V. Watkins of Tillatobia and R.C. Watkins of Harrison, Ark.; five granddaughters; two grandsons; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville.

McDill

CLEVELAND — Funeral services for Clara "Sue" McDill, 78, of Cleveland will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ray Funeral Home, Cleveland. She died Oct. 16, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto, Southaven. Burial will be in Delta Heights Memorial Gardens, Cleveland.

Visitation will be Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Miller

METCALFE — Funeral services for Lonzo Miller, 75, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and formerly of Leland will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at King Solomon MB Church, Metcalfe. He died Oct. 14, 2002, at Bougainvilla Hospice, Fort Lauderdale. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Visitation will be Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m., with family hour from 6 to 7 p.m., at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

Robinson

CLEVELAND — Funeral services for Willie Lee Robinson, 55, of Cleveland will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Apostolic Faith Church, Cleveland. He died Oct. 11, 2002, at his home. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Cleveland, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland.

Survivors include his wife, Mamie W. Robinson of Ruleville; one son, Kenny Webb of Shreveport, La.; one daughter, Kimberly House of Starkville; six brothers, Albert Cole of Marks, James Robinson of Pace, Walter Robinson and Eddie Robinson, both of Greenville, and Alexander Robinson and Sugar Ray Robinson, both of Cleveland; three sisters, Annie Bell McKinney of Greenville, Louise Juitt of Merigold and Corine Jones of Cleveland; and three grandchildren.

MOUND BAYOU — Funeral services for Ward Thompson Jr., 54, of Mound Bayou will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bethel AME Church, Mound Bayou. He died Oct. 14, 2002, at Bolivar Health & Rehabilitation Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens No. 2 Cemetery, Mound Bayou, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Thompson of Mound Bayou; his mother, Earlee Thompson of Mound Bayou; two daughters, Monette Thompson of Mound Bayou and Avis Fairley of Lucedale; five brothers, Rodney E. Thompson and Hubert O. Thompson, both of Chicago, Michael R. Thompson of Jacksonville, Ark., Lanell J. Thompson of Jackson and Commander John T. Thompson of Marion, Ark.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland. The body will lie in state at the church Saturday from noon until 1 p.m.
