Mrs. Mary Greer, age 86, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Monday, April 4, 2005, in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Greer loved to sew and create and was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Greer, a daughter, Geneva Walker and her parents, Jesse and Roxie Hughes. She is survived by a son, Willie Newman of Ocean Springs, two sisters, Gladys Williams of Grenada, MS., and Jessie Scott of Evanston, Illinois, a brother Homer Hughes of Grenada, MS., five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2005, from 11:30 AM - 1 PM , with a 1 PM church service, all at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.

BRADLEY
Hardy Eugene "H.E." Bradley, 65, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at Rush Foundation Hospital, Meridian, Miss. born icon in Unity, Miss., he was the son of the late Eugene Nevels Bradley and the late Sarah (Allen) Bradley. He served in the National Guard.
He was a retired ship fitter.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Rex Allen Bradley Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Bradley, Carriere, Miss.; brother, Melborne R. Bradley; sister, Zexta Faye McDonald; former spouse, Gloria V. Cowart.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Agricola cemetery.
Funeral services will be held Sept. 19, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Agricola cemetery, Agricola cemetery Road, Agricola, Miss.
In lieu of flowers please give to the Agricola Baptist Church Youth Center Building Fund.
Interment will follow in the Agricola cemetery, Agricola. Rev. Brice Evans will conduct the services.
Sigler Funeral Home Inc., P.O. Box 102, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, Miss. is in charge of arrangements.

GARRISON
Mrs. Eula C. "Preat" Tanner Garrison, 75, of Decatur, Miss., formerly of Harleston, Miss., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, in Decatur. She was born icon Sept. 18, 1932, in Harleston. She was a proud member of Trinity Pentecostal Church of Pascagoula, Miss., for 65 years. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
She is reunited with her loving parents, Aaron and Sadie Tanner; her brothers, Teedy Tanner, Dick Tanner, Robert Tanner, Maurice L. Tanner and O'Neal Tanner; and her sisters, Margie Roberson, Rebecca Franklin, Sue Carol Floore, and Willa Dean Butler.
Mrs. Garrison leaves loving memories to her husband of 57 years, E.J. Garrison; her daughter, Pam Bouler; her grandchildren, Jay (Wendy) Bouler, Kevin (Angela) Bouler, and Amy (William) Patteson; her great-grandchildren, Hunter J. Bouler, Fisher Bouler, Victoria Jackson, Tristan Bouler, Devin Ray Bouler, Kaitlin Patteson, Aidan Patteson; her brothers, Ray Tanner and Raymond Roberson; her sister, Susie Goodwin; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home of Escatawpa, Miss.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at 10 a.m. at the Heritage Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will follow at Tanners Chapel cemetery of Harleston.
Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home of Escatawpa, locally owned and operated.

WILLIAMS
Mr. Jay "Toot" Williams, 57, of Pascagoula, Miss., departed this life Sept. 8, 2007. He was born icon Feb. 10, 1950, to Shirley Williams Brown and Amos McCants.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.
Jay worked years for the Continuity Care Home Nurses; where he was a nurse staff coordinator in North Hollywood, Calif., Maryanne Sawoski Executive Director. Jay returned home after Hurricane Katrina and worked for the Salvation Army and volunteered for the Red Cross. Jay was a people person and his smile was like a beautiful light.
Jay leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Paula Williams of Dallas, Texas, Levon (Paul) McKinest of Pascagoula; stepbrother, Kirk (Peanut) Griffin of Miami, Fla.; devoted aunts, Ora Dee (Roosevelt) Snowden of Pascagoula, Isabelle Davis of New Orleans, La.; devoted uncles, James "Skillet" Williams and Prince Albert Williams, both of Moss Point, Ruby Chestang of New Orleans; nieces, Brooke Williams and Gladys Harris, both of Pascagoula, Ashlee Jackson of Dallas; great-niece, Taylor Miller of Pascagoula; nephew, Eddie Jackson III "EJ" of Dallas; childhood friends, Walter Lynn Wright of Houston, Texas, Catherine Winters and Alfreda Coltson both of Moss Point; devoted cousins, Nellie (Melvin) Franklin and Willie (Trisha) Chestang Jr. both of Moss Point, Helen Sequra of New Orleans, Jackie (Tyrone) Lindsey and Loria (Ed) Hughes, both of Pascagoula, Janice and Mrs. Flora Chestang of Moss Point, Fayretta McNair and Marie Keyes of Moss Point, Priscillia Gaines of Chicago; special friends, the Burt family, Rhonda and Brnestine Hill and Margarett Allen of California and a host of relatives, friends and co-workers.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Millender's Funeral Home, 4412 Main St., Moss Point.
All arrangements entrusted to Millender's Funeral Home, Moss Point.

DUNNING
Dorothy Elizabeth Dunning, died Sept. 5, 2007. She was born icon Nov. 30, 1922, in Vallejo, Calif., raised in southern California and lived in Sacramento and Escondido, Calif., throughout most of her life. She moved to Gautier, Miss., in 2005 to be near her daughter.
She was preceded in death by 16 siblings and her husband, Ed Dunning.
She is survived by her daughter, Colleen Roy and son-in-law, Rob Roy; her granddaughter, Michaelyn McLoughlin of Washington, D.C.; her stepchildren, Barbara Bartholomew and Bob Dunning; and her beloved niece, Patty Owen and her grandniece, Debbie Owen.
Dorothy, better known as Dottie, was a well-known and respected interior decorator before she retired. Her joys in life were her family and floral design. She was a member of Redding's Wonderland Garden Club, the Chico Horticulture Society, Red Bluff Bidwell Designers Guild and the Gautier Garden Club. Dottie was a Master Judge of the state of California and Master Judge of the National Counsel. She had also won numerous first place awards for her designs. Her beloved cat, Hot Wheels, will be living with her niece, Patty Owen. We are all blessed to have known Dorothy Dunning, a grand lady who had her own unique style and a love of life that was envied by all.
There will be a private family service.

LIDGARD
Patsy Ann Capps Lidgard, 71, of Ocean Springs, Miss., passed to her final home with God on Sept. 14, 2007.
Patsy was born icon in Mobile County on Dec. 26, 1935. She lived in Whistler, Ala., until she met her soon to be husband, Richard (Dick) Lidgard in 1955. She then became a military wife and traveled with him and their sons to several state side locations, Japan and Germany. She then settled in her dream home in Ocean Springs, Miss., in 1988 and enjoyed life with her family and friends.
After retirement she and her husband enjoyed traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, Illinois, South Florida and to Eureka Springs, Ark., when her health permitted. She was an early member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.
Patsy was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vernon O. Capps of Whistler. She was also predeceased by her brother, Cecil Capps and sister, Joy.
She is survived by her husband, Richard (Dick) Lidgard; sons, Rich (Sheryl) Lidgard of Naples Fla., and David (Sherry) Lidgard of Ocean Springs; grandsons, Brian (Mandy) Lidgard, James (Dani) Lidgard of Naples; Matthew Francis, Sam Lidgard, and Russell Lidgard of Ocean Springs; brother, Vernon (Jackie) Capps Jr. of Coden, Ala.; sisters, Agnes (Leo) Strachan of Theodore, Ala., Elaine (Don) Wright of Magnolia Springs, Ala., and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at Wesley United Methodist Church on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon and Celebration Service will begin at noon.
Interment service will be at the Biloxi National cemetery on Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at 9 a.m.
Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church Building Fund, 8900 Old Spanish Trail, Ocean Springs MS, 39564.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

SPENCE
Miss Kelda Theresa Spence, 31, born icon in Mobile, Ala., and current resident of Ocean Springs, Miss., died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007. Miss Spence was an honors graduate of the University of South Alabama with a B.S. in General Education and M.S. in Special Education. She was a member of the Omicron Zeta Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society. Miss Spence enjoyed her career at St. Martin High School and was in her eight year of teaching there.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Capt. Doc Collier and T.J. Spence.
Survivors include her soul mate, Patrick Walker of Ocean Springs; her parents, Timothy Kelly and Mary Ann Spence of Mobile; two brothers, Wade Russell Spence (Amy) of Grand Bay, Ala. and Timothy Bruce Spence (Shellie) of San Francisco, Calif.; her maternal grandmother, Nelda Lyons Collier of Grand Bay, and her paternal grandmother, Beatrice Howell Spence of Mobile; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, colleagues and students.
She will be greatly missed by her friends, colleagues and students at St. Martin High School.
Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, 911 Porter Ave., Ocean Springs.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon today, Sept. 20, 2007 at Little Flower Catholic Church where the family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be in Pine Crest cemetery.
Arrangements by Pine Crest Funerals and Cremations, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile.

EDDINGFIELD
Joan Eddingfield, 71, of Gautier, Miss., died on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, in Ocean Springs Hospital. She was born icon Feb. 15, 1936, in Green Bay, Wis., and has been a resident of Gautier for over 20 years.
Mrs. Eddingfield was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a former pipefitter for Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Miss. She was a member of the American Legion No. 160 in Pascagoula. Joan was an avid bowler and bowled with U.S.B.C., W.B.A, and W.I.B.C. leagues at Old Spanish Trail Lanes in Gautier and Ocean Lanes in Ocean Springs.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Larry "Tiny" Eddingfield.
She is survived by her three sons and one daughter, John "Buddy" Shields (Darci), Jimmy Shields, Jay Eddingfield and Judy Watkins (Tony); grandchildren, Melissa, Ian, and Ivy Shields; Maria, Amber, Amanda, and Jacqueline Watkins; Brittney and Alec Eddingfield; great-grandchildren, Alaina, Justin, Haylei, Vydia, Christian, Mariah, Exavia and Anthony.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gautier.
A memorial service by the American Legion will be at 1 p.m. in the funeral home parlor.
Graveside service with military honors will follow at Biloxi National cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to NASCAR Victory Junction Gang, 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, NC 27317 (www.victoryjunction.org) or any veteran's organization.

ENGLISH
Albert Lee English Jr., 43, died Sept. 15, 2007, at Singing River Rehab in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born icon March 27, 1964, to Albert Earl and Mary English.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Earl (Billy) English; grandfather, Sammie English; and grandmother, Charity Foster.
He leaves to cherish his memories a dedicated mother, Mary L. English, Moss Point, Miss.; grandmother, Louise English, Moss Point; three dedicated and loving brothers, Donald (LaQuanda) English, Theodore, Ala., Calvin English, Moss Point, Robert (Yvette) English of Conyer, Ga.; one loving sister, Brenda (Berling) Keeton, Moss Point; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Little Rock Missionary Church, 4912 Gautier Street, Moss Point.
Funeral services will begin promptly at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Cortez Keeton II officiating.

WHIRL
Mr. L.B. Whirl, was born icon Jan. 17, 1949, in Schlater, Miss., he was the third child of the 13 children born icon to the union of the late Ella Wee Rias and Albert Whirl Sr. Mr. Whirl departed this life on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, in Moss Point, Miss.
L.B. joined Moss Spring M.B. Church at an early age. After moving to the Gulf Coast, he joined Asbury Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Pascagoula, Miss. He was a graduate of Marshall High School, North Carlton, Miss., where he served as captain of the football, basketball and baseball teams. L.B. was an athlete at heart and loved sports. After finishing high school, he received an athletic scholarship in baseball from Alcorn State University. He graduated in 1976 with a degree in physical education.
L.B. leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Sherry Ne'Cole Whirl of Gautier, Miss.; two sons, Lathan Bradley Whirl of Jackson, Miss., and Lorez Rankin of Chicago, Ill.; five sisters, Mary Nolen of Starksville, Miss., Betty (Otha) George of McCarley, Miss., Sarah (Gregory) Jackson, Eliza Whirl both of Greenwood, Miss., and Verna Fleming of Winona, Miss.; six brothers, Albert Whirl Jr. of Houston, Texas, John (Joyce) Chicago, Calvin Earl (Sandra) Whirl, Flint, Mich., Nathaniel (Jacqueline) Whirl of Memphis, Tenn., James Whirl and Richard Whirl both of Chicago and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Magnolia Street, Moss Point.
Funeral services will begin promptly at 11 a.m. from the church with Rev. Joyce Gant, officiating.
A second visitation service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Roberts and Sons Mortuary, 524 Greenboro Street, Winona, Miss.
Interment will be in Bethel C.M.E. cemetery, Black Hawk, Miss.
