WOMACK
Mrs. Ruby Lee Womack, 68, passed away Sept. 16, 2007, at her home in Gautier, Miss., after a long battle with COPD. She was born icon May 8, 1929, in Greensboro, Ala. Mrs. Womack was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was a retired assistant manager for Jerry Lees Grocery after 33 years service. She was the owner of M&R Trailer Park in Moss Point for many years.
Mrs. Womack was preceded in death by her parents; Mack and Lula Stevens; son, Terry Lee Newburn; brother, Buddy Stevens; sister, Jewel Booth; great-granddaughter, Adison Rose Lindley and husband, Murel Womack.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, one daughter and caregiver Alice and John Douglas of Gautier; three sons, Steven Newburn of Alabama, Ronnie Newburn of Alabama and Mack and Mary Ann Newburn of Barton; four sisters, Catherine Saranthus of Eight Mile, Ala., Maggie Bacon of Wilmer, Ala., Salley and Colbert Thompson of Alabama, Besty (Lowell) Isabell of Jackson, Ala.; one brother, Johnny Steven of Mobile, Ala.; 11 grandchildren, Curtis and Ashley Douglas, John and Brady Douglas, Joy Douglas, Joseph Newburn, Stevie and Leslie Newburn, Christy Newburn, Chris Newburn, Brent Newburn, Lesley and Randy Lindley, Amy and Jamie Holiman, 20 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and three very special friends, Susan Lee, Kay West and Voncile Pariot.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, from Holder-Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry McVeay and Rev. James Miller, officiating.
Entombment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula, Miss.
Arrangements by Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point.

FORD
Ronnie Carroll Ford , 60, of Lucedale, Miss., died Sept. 15, 2007, in Lucedale. Mr. Ford was born icon on January 5, 1947, in Bessemer, Ala. He was retired tool room foreman with Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding. He served in the United States Air Force and attended Community of Christ Church in Escatawpa, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ben C. Ford.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Ford, daughter and son-in-law Jamie (Craig) Lavergne, his grandchildren, Josh and Dylan Lavergne, all of Lucedale, Miss.; mothers, Virginia Piercefield of St. Louis, Mo.; and Ella Ford of Mobile, Ala.; mother-in-law Mary Miller of Escatawpa, Miss.; sister and brother-in-law, Vickey (Jack) Franklin of St. Louis, Mo.; brother and sister-in-law Darrell (Judy) Sellers of Alabaster, Ala.; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, Miss. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Elders Thad Boykin and Betty Boykin officiating. Burial will follow in the Community of Christ Church cemetery in Escatawpa, Miss.
Heritage Funeral Home in charge of arrangements locally owned and operated.

PEMBERTON
Mrs. Amalia "Molly" Pemberton, age 79, of Gautier passed Saturday, September 15, 2007, peacefully after having a stroke.
Mrs. Pemberton was among the first class to graduate from Jackson County Junior College. Molly was a practicing RN with a BS degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, La., graduating in 1979. She worked with several local physicians and the Jackson County Sherriff's Department for 17 years. She was an active member of the Rebecca Lodge and American Legion Post 160 in P ascagoula.
She is preceded in death by her parents Irene and Bell Tullus.
Survivors include: her husband of 37 years James B. Pemberton of Gautier; sons: Glenn T. Pinson of Tampa, Fla., and Steve Pemberton of Gautier, Miss.; daughters, Mary Walker (Hal) of Gautier, Miss.,. Suzzanne Redd (Lowell) of Ocean Springs, Miss., Donna Atkinson of Baton Rouge, La., and Katie Thibodeaux (Kevin) of Port Barre, La.; grandchildren, Cheryl Zafiris (Ioannis); Joli Lauban (Jason); Courtney Pemberton; Amanda Pemberton; Molly Pinson; Jan Pinson; Jason, Daniel, and Lindsey Thibodeaux.; and one great grandchild, Laine Lauban.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 16, 2007, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.
Funeral Service will be Monday, September 17, 2007, 2:00 p.m., at O'Bryant- O'Keefe Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Bill Barton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Home of Grace and/or St. Vincent De Paul.

ALLMAN
Mrs. Arlene Inga Allman, age 89, a former resident of Ocean Springs, Miss. passed away Sept. 12, 2007 in New Orleans, La. She was born icon March 9, 1918 in Toronto, S.D. Arlene and husband, Paul were the owners of Allman's Restaurant in Ocean Springs and made their home in St. Andrews for over 30 years. Mrs. Allman was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in New Orleans and a former member of First United Methodist Church of Gautier, Miss., her beloved church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Ellen McLaughlin; husband of 61 years, Paul William Allman; two sons, Victor Wayne and Paul William Allman; two brothers, Arnold and Robert McLauglin.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Jean Preston of Kenner, La., and Karen Kay Oerter of Arlington, Texas; a sister, Marjorie Lucas of Rockford, Ill.; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007 from First United Methodist Church of Gautier with Rev. Ron Stanley officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to service time at the church. Mrs. Allman will be transported to Eldow, Iowa for burial in Eldow cemetery.

KLEMM
Mr. Frank Joseph Klemm, a resident of Gautier, Miss., and former resident of New Orleans, La., died peacefully at his step-son's residence in Gautier on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at the age of 81.
He was the former owner/operator of Frank J. Klemm Limousine Service of New Orleans.
Mr. Klemm was preceded in death by his brother, Salvador Frank Klemm; his father, Frank Peter Klemm; his mother, Cora Agnes Tedesco Klemm; and his wife, Dorothy "Pat" Curtis Klemm.
He is survived by his step-son, Leonard R. Frederick and several cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Catholic
Funeral Services to be held in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home at 3827 Canal St. at N. Scott, New Orleans, La., on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at 1 p.m. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from noon until 1 p.m. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery in New Orleans.

LITTLE
Pamela Veronica Lynn "Ronni Lynn" Little; Our little angel passed away Sept. 10, 2007, in Pascagoula, Miss. Although only with us for a moment, she will be in our hearts forever. We find peace in knowing she is in the arms of Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Jennifer "Mary Lee" Little.
Infant daughter of Richard and Michelle Little of Moss Point, Miss., she is also survived by her brothers and sisters; Eric, Taj, Marshall, Bekah, Jada and Tori Lee; grandparents, Ron and Mary Little of Moss Point, and Cathy Wimberly of D'Iberville, Miss.; her godparents, Cheryl and David Gardner of Pascagoula; aunt, Jennifer (Jody) Willis and family of Mississippi; aunt, Kristine Grayson and family of Mississippi; aunt, Pamela (Darnell) Davis and family of Colorado; uncle, Johnny (Dana) Wimberly and family of Colorado; uncle, Richard Wimberly and family of Arizona; uncle, Charles (Jelissa) Wimberly and family of Colorado; aunt, Jessica and family of Pennsylvania, and two very special friends, Walter Thornton and Sherri Hodges as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at 6:30 p.m. at Church on the Rock in Pascagoula. Rev. Rodger Bradley will be officiating.
Heritage Funeral Home, locally owned and operated, is in charge of arrangements.

EUBANKS
Mary Vivian Bennett Eubanks, 62, of Lucedale, Miss., died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, David Eugene Eubanks; son and daughter-in-law, Stacy Dawayne and Shelley (Dobbins) Eubanks of Leakesville, Miss.; daughter and son-in-law, Dabra LaBelle and Alex Jim Broome of Mobile, Ala.; grandson, Caleb Bennett Eubanks of Leakesville; granddaughters, Olivia Pauline Eubanks of Leakesville and Madison Elaine Broome of Mobile; and aunt, Helen Cochran Lane of Lenoir City, Tenn.
Visitation will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church with Rev. John Merick and Rev. Greg Barker officiating.
Interment will be held at Rocky Creek cemetery.
George County Funeral Home in Lucedale is in charge of arrangements.

SMITH
Juliette Merlee Eubanks Stringfellow Smith, 90, of Wilmer, Ala., died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Coya Stringfellow and W.C. Smith; and three daughters, Colleen S. Campbell, Norita S. Delgado and Emelie S. Dixon.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha (J.D.) Dixon of Benndale, Miss.; her son, Joseph C. (Diana) Stringfellow of Lake Alford, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. today, Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at George County Funeral Home in Lucedale, with Rev. Simon Erkhart, Rev. Robert E. Phillips and Rev. Terry Glaskox officiating.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Dixon, Gavin Havard, Jamie Dixon, Gary Dixon, Mike Dixon, Jeff Dixon, Jacob Havard, Steven Dixon and Amon Gorum.
Interment will be at Wilmer cemetery of Wilmer, Ala.
George County Funeral Home, Lucedale is in charge of arrangements.

KIHYET
Norma Lou Kihyet, 86, formerly of Pascagoula, Miss., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, in Mobile, Ala.
Mrs. Kihyet was born icon March 31, 1922, in Vardman, Miss., to the late Early and Flora Bailey. She and her family moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the mid-1950s. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 160, VFW No. 3373, the 8 & 40 Auxiliary, and past Member of Lake Garden Club. She also served as Queen with the Tri-City Carnival Association and was the First Queen for the American Legion Carnival Ball.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tofie Elias Kihyet; two brothers, Otis and Charles Bailey; and one sister, Marie Smith.
She is survived by three sons, Anton E. Kihyet of Pascagoula, Alton B. Sack and his wife, Deborah of Daphne, Ala., and Robert Hudspeth Jr. of Crosby, Texas; three brothers, E.L., John Thomas and Wayne Bailey; two sisters, Betty Johns and Sarah Prather; and four grandchildren, Adam, John, Sandra and Haley.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, in the funeral home chapel with Father Dennis Ryan officiating.
Services will conclude at graveside in Greenwood cemetery, Pascagoula.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Legion Post No. 160, Harry C. Kelly, P.O. Box 186, Pascagoula, MS 39568, Attn. Preston Wells.
The family wishes to thank Odyssey Hospice and Gordon Oaks Nursing Home for their excellent care during her illness.

PITTS
Gene Autrey Pitts, 53, of Escatawpa, Miss., passed away Thursday, Sept.11, 2008, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born icon July 31, 1955, in Pascagoula, and worked in the construction industry as a painter.
Mr. Pitts was preceded in death by his parents, John and Winnie Pitts; brother, Johnny Pitts; father-in-law, Frank Breland; and brother-in-law, Harlen Rainey.
He leaves cherished memories to his loving wife, Lorrie Pitts; two sons, Jonathan W. (Christy Jones) Pitts and Devin Pitts; two daughters, Karen Schultz and Betty "B.J." Pitts; six grandchildren, Chelsy, Angel, Austin, Kiana, Kiera and Samantha; in addition to eight step-grandchildren; sisters, Audrey Rainey, Mary (Dennis) Busby, Margaret (Jim) Buchanna, Dovie Decosta Pitts, Elaine (Michael) Wallington, Winnie (Hank) Lambert and Stephanie (K.W.) Wilkerson; two brothers, Billy (Betty) Pitts and James Pitts; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at the Freedom Christian Fellowship Church on Highway 613 in Escatawpa.
Services for Mr. Pitts will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at Freedom Christian Fellowship, with Pastor Dean Smith officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Evergreen cemetery.

JOHNSON
The Life of R. Deleah Johnson: "Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit within me." (Ps 51:10)
Roberta Deleah Johnson was born icon to the parentage of John D. Harrison Sr. and Roberta B. Harrison, who both preceded her in death.
She was born icon on Oct. 29, 1940, in Pascagoula, Miss. Deleah attended public school and graduated from Carver High School. She continued her formal education at Rust College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Her drive for excellence led her to the University of Southern Mississippi where she earned a Master of Education degree in Business Education. She touched the lives of many, as a business instructor at the Jackson County Campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for 29 years, having retired Dec. 31, 1999.
Deleah was a lifelong member of The Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where she served the church as co-secretary for many years, and was an active member of many other church auxiliaries. Deleah was also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. She was a dedicated and committed sorority member and was able to reach out and make a difference in the community and the lives of others.
She had other accomplishments and recognitions which included: Listed in the International Who's Who in the Community Service - Third Edition; The Who's Who of Women in Education-First Edition; and The Community Leaders and Noteworthy Americans, Bicentennial Memorial Edition. She also received a Platter of Distinction and Certificate of Recognition at B&PW National Convention, 1977.
Deleah will be remembered most for the fight she endured for her son, Mekell. She will forever, in the eyes of her family and friends, be admired for her struggle — in spite of her own failing health — to take care of her beloved Mekell, whom she affectionately referred to as "her boy." Mekell preceded her in death Nov. 12, 2007.
Deleah's sisters, Edna Olivia Harrision and Janice Mendoria Zinnamon, also preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her brother, John D. (Ollie) Harrision Jr. of Arlington, Texas; her sister, June E. Slaughter of Moss Point, Miss.; grandsons, Travis Olive (Naomi), Christopher Goldsmith, Ethan Troy Burney, Shaemon Perez and Mekell Johnson Jr.; great-grandchildren, Mikalla (Precious) Thomas, Myasia (Candy) Olive, Alosia and Travis Olive Jr.; sister-in-law, Winifred C. Harrison of Dallas, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of dear friends.
Viewing will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at The Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1028 Denny Ave, Pascagoula, Miss.
Funeral services will begin promptly at 1 p.m. from the church.
Interment will be in Scranton cemetery, Pascagoula.
All arrangements entrusted to Millender's Funeral Home, Moss Point.
