Billy Wayne Parker
(December 5, 1950 - December 21, 2015)
Funeral services for Billy Wayne Parker of Raymond will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Eskridge cemetery in Eskridge. Rev. Terry Corley will officiate the services.
Visitation will be Monday, December 28, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Parker, 65, died of heart failure at his residence on Monday, December 21. He was born icon December 5, 1950, to the late George C. and Ruby Bell Bailey Parker. He was a self-employed general contractor and a member of Eskridge Baptist Church. Mr. Parker was an avid coon hunter and was a former member of the U.S. Army National Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Parker.
Mr. Parker is survived by his sons, Jason Parker of Brandon and Thomas Parker of Clinton; sisters, Barbara Collins of Kilmichael and Bobbie Littlejohn of Duck Hill; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Sykes, Trent Evans, Mac Parker, Mike Evans, Mark Sykes, and Larry Worrell.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.

Margie Sue Stewart Williams
(January 19, 1950 - May 12, 2016)
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Margie Sue Stewart Williams of Grenada (formerly of Vaiden, MS) will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, at North Union Baptist Church, 5793 Attala Road 3106, West, MS, 39192. Mrs. Williams passed away from renal failure at her residence surrounded by loved ones on May 12, 2016. Her passing leaves both her family and friends with heavy hearts. Mrs. Williams’ life journey took her from business owner to various retail positions to providing in home care for elderly patients. Many may remember her from her years as a cashier at Piggly Wiggly in Winona, MS. In her final years she served as a nurse’s aide to several homebound patients in the Montgomery and Carroll County area. While always maintaining a busy professional life, Mrs. Williams was also a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is preceded in her death by her mother, Dorothy Stewart Downs of Vaiden, MS, her father, Everett Si Stewart of Vaiden, MS, and her stepfather, Ernest Grady Downs of Kosciusko, MS.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Williams of Grenada (formerly of Vaiden, MS), one daughter, Christy Moore of Grenada, MS, one son, Stewart Williams (Lesley) of Atoka, TN, one sister, Dorothy Faye Stewart Tapley of Nettleton, MS, one brother, Randy Stewart of Kosciusko, MS, one aunt, Louise Nichols Blount (Jimmy) of West, MS, two grandsons, C.J. Moore (Cassandra) of West Point, MS, Caleb Everett Williams of Atoka, TN, two granddaughters, Carrie Moore Criddle (Casey) of Madison, MS and Aubrey Kate Williams of Atoka, TN, along with a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to North Union Baptist Church Building Fund, 5793 Attala Road 3106, West, MS, 39192.

Annie Ruth Doster
(November 19, 1940 - September 18, 2016)
Funeral services for Annie Ruth Doster, of Winona, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in New Hope United Methodist Church cemetery, near Winona. Rev. Ken Armstrong and Rev. Randy Dees will officiate the services. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time on Wednesday, September 21, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Doster, 75, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at AMG Specialty Hospital in Greenwood. She was born icon on November 19, 1940, to Charles Huggins and Annie Huggins Smith. She was a retired waitress and a member of North Winona Baptist Church.
Ms. Doster is survived by 2 daughters: Cindy Shelton of Winona and Cathy Dees of McAlester, OK; stepdaughter, Cherrie Kelly of Bruce; sister, Bernice Howell of Winona; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Doster; her parents; and three brothers, Jim Huggins, Bill Huggins, and Junior Huggins.
Pallbearers will be Robert Shelton, Benny Costilow, Ronny Dees, and Curtis "Bubba" Manuel.

Wright Sloan, Jr.
(January 12, 1930 - February 13, 2008)
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Wright Sloan, Jr., of Vaiden are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, at Midway cemetery near Vaiden.
Rev. Jonah Horn will officiate the services.
Mr. Sloan died on Wednesday, February 13, at Greenwood Specialty Hospital in Greenwood. He was 78.
Mr. Sloan was the son of the late Wright Sloan and Rema Love Sloan and the widower of the late Sarah Lynn Tucker Sloan. He was a retired pipeline construction worker and log truck driver. Mr. Sloan served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and he was a member of French Camp Baptist Church. He is survived by his sister, Neva Sloan Clark of French Camp.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 16, from noon until 1:30 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona.

Ruth Eddins
(February 7, 1931 - April 22, 2008)
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Eddins of Vaiden are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, at Vaiden Baptist Church in Vaiden, with burial following in Vaiden cemetery in Vaiden. Rev. Leon Holly will officiate the services. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 23, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Eddins died of complications from emphysema at her residence on Tuesday, April 22. She was 77 years old.
Mrs. Eddins was the daughter of the late Thomas Anderson Noah and Willie Randle Noah. She was a retired cosmetologist, co-owner of Smith Furniture Store, and a homemaker. She was a member of Vaiden Baptist Church and the Vaiden Homemakers Club.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Eddins of Vaiden; son, Don Eddins and his wife, Kathy, of Vaiden; one sister, Bobbie Smith of Madison; and three granddaughters, Laura Eddins, Kim Jones, and Tina Brown.
Pallbearers are Charles Ellis, Jimmy Webb, DeWayne Carpenter, Dennis Dean, Billy Joe Ferguson, and Clint Tompkins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vaiden Baptist Church, 501 Mulberry Street, Vaiden, MS 39176.

Floyce Hovas Collins
(June 29, 1933 - June 9, 2008)
Funeral services for Mrs. Floyce Hovas Collins of Winona are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church near Kilmichael, with burial following in Poplar Springs cemetery. Rev. Gary Jackson, assisted by Rev. Eddie Dodd, will officiate the services. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 11, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Winona Church of God.
Mrs. Collins died of heart failure on Monday, June 9, at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. She was 74 years old.
Mrs. Collins was the daughter of the late Carl and Lora Dewett Hovas, and the widow of the late Lee Dell Collins. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Winona Church of God.
Survivors include daughters, Sandra Collins Edwards (Forrest) of Camden, Connie Collins Smith of Columbus, Christye Collins Stanton (Durward) of Carrollton, and Terri Collins Dillon (Bobby) of Mendenhall; adopted daughter, Linda Nash of Star; sister, Joyce Sanders of Madison; brother, D. D. Hovas of Kilmichael; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Ruth M. Terrell
(September 21, 1912 - October 15, 2008)
Graveside services for Ruth M. Terrell of Winona will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, at Oakwood cemetery in Winona, with burial immediately following. Rev. Larry Creel will officiate the services.
Visitation will be from noon until 1:30 p.m. on Friday at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Terrell died of heart failure on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at Winona Manor in Winona. She was 96 years old.
Mrs. Terrell was the daughter of the late Virge and Willie Hoover Mann and the widow of the late Marshall Terrell. She was a retired salesperson and a member of Gulfport Memorial Methodist Church in Gulfport.
Survivors include her son, Harry Geotes of Winona; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Ronald L. Montague
(May 15, 1948 - November 17, 2010)
Funeral services for Ronald L. Montague of French Camp are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, at Oliver Chapel in Winona, with burial following in the Old Plank cemetery near Vaiden. Rev. Brad Herod will officiate the services.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Montague died of heart failure at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona on Wednesday, November 17, 2010. He was 62 years old.
Mr. Montague was a retired mechanic and a member of Grace Methodist Church in Greenville. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and the recipient of two Purple Hearts. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Montague.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Montague of French Camp; daughter, Danette Montague of French Camp; sons, Curtis Montague of Kilmichael and Ronnie Montague of French Camp; his mother, Dee Montague of Greenville; two brothers, Loyd T. Montague of Valdosta, Georgia, and Richard I. Montague of Greenville; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Taylor Williams, David Nassar, Anthony Mansinni, Mark Montague, Guy Stanford, and Ron Helms.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, the American Heart Association, or the Cancer Research Foundation.

Robert A. "Bobby" Reed
(December 26, 1947 - October 1, 2011)
Funeral services for Robert A. "Bobby" Reed of Winona will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, at Oliver Chapel, with burial following in the Mission cemetery near Winona. Rev. Paul Trosper, assisted by Rev. George Felts, will officiate the services.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 2, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Reed died of heart failure at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson on Saturday, October 1. He was 63 years old.
Mr. Reed was a security guard for Cobra Security of Oxford and a Methodist. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam war and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Henning Reed of Winona; daughter, Kathy Noah and her husband, Michael, of Weir; parents, Curtis and Catherine Reed of Winona; and three granddaughters.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Miller, Allen Morehead, Warren Henning, Billy Carson, Marcus Carson, and Patrick Carson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Rosamond, Danny Barnett, and Robert Lanahan.

Lois Peacock Burchfield
(March 5, 1924 - December 16, 2015)
Mrs. Lois Peacock Burchfield, 91, of Winona died of heart failure at Vaiden Community Living Center in Vaiden on Wednesday, December 16. She was born icon on March 5, 1924, to the late Tom and Drew Pearson Peacock. Mrs. Burchfield was a homemaker and a former employee of Brown's Department Store and Mortimer Furniture Store in Winona. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Winona and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Burchfield is survived by four daughters, Kay Smith of Vicksburg, Diane Looney of Green Cove Springs, FL, Pam Fisher of Winona, and Janet Holcomb of Birmingham, AL; one brother, Otheal Peacock of Bartlett, TN; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Burchfield was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Everett Burchfield; and a daughter, Susie Burchfield Baskin.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Milligan Springs cemetery near Stewart. Dr. Tim Mims will officiate the services. Visitation will be Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Perry, Mark Peacock, Michael Hunt, Brenton Phillips, Neil McAnally, and Bryan Hall.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
